First time here. We got the vanilla cake w whipped cream & strawberries and it was yummy . It had plenty of strawberries and the cake was moist. My daughters got the red velvet cupcakes and butterpecan cookies which were also delicious. I will be back when i need another cake. Also the lady helping us was kind and helpfull. Sadly i forgot to take a good picture of the cake :/

Naked tres leches with blue cream. The chocolate cupcake with white frosting. Total cost $37, which was a steal!

One word, delicious. The cake is moist and soft with a yummy banana filling. Their frosting/cream is not too sweet, it was prefect. Definitely a crowd favorite! I ordered a 6in for $30, wish I ordered a bigger size because it was so good. I called to order a day at advance and picked it the next day. Quick and easy service. They sell candles, birthday signs, and cake toppers in case you need last minute decor.

We have been coming here for years! This is the best place for cakes. Our favorite is the tres leches cakes!

My daughter loved her lavender chocolate banana birthday cake. It was moist and delicious and the whipped icing isn't overly sweet Perfect for her mid-week birthday with another bigger celebration to come. I ordered it the day before and they even spelled her name correctly.

Happened upon this local bakery and was glad I did. The almond cookies were so yummy! Also tried the butter pecan, red velvet, and raspberry shortbread cookies, which were all delicious! We'll be back to try their strawberry cake soon - the baker said it is their most popular!

Absolutely love Fortune Bakery!!! Freshness in the cake and the most wonderful flavor. Joe and Mary's customer service is impeccable and they are so kind. Even now that I loved out of state, every chance I have to order, I do! Their cookies and goodies are yummy as well! Highly recommend! 5 stars each time!

My family and I have been loyal customers of Fortune Bakery for decades, and they never disappoint! Last week, we ordered a sugar-free cake for my fiancé's dad, who turned 90. My fiancé had very specific ideas for how she wanted the cake, so she shared numerous pictures and even had a three-way call with Joe, the owner. Joe was incredibly patient and worked closely with her to ensure every detail was perfect. In the end, her dad absolutely loved the cake, and even some of our guests asked where we got it from! Thank you, Joe, and the entire Fortune Bakery team for always delivering exceptional service and delicious cakes. We are so grateful for your attention to detail and commitment to making every occasion.

We bought a simple cake for my daughter's birthday with "plain decor and light green edges" as the request. We added our own decor. The strawberry vanilla cake itself was very moist, and the cream was light. Communicating with the owner was very easy over the phone. Highly recommended!

We always order their cakes for parties and celebrations because they're always the crowd favorite! The cakes are moist and not too sweet, just the way we like them. This cake was for my baby shower and I had asked for it to be plain white so I could add decorations myself. Came out cute and perfectly delicious! If you are hesitating, just give them a try and support a local business. A+

Hello and good evening, I wanted to inquire if your bakery does delivery? Thank you again and I…

They deliver their wedding cakes but you should call. Mine was delivered to burbank

Have been trying to reach Fortune Bakery by phone the last several days and it seems their phone is out of service. Any way of contacting them if they are open?

Keep calling during business hours. They answer

Does anyone know if there is another number? I've been calling for 2 days and its busy tone

They are very busy, try at a different time during hours

How much is a wedding cake for 140 guests?

I would start at calling the bakery it depends, with my cake they will ask you what kinda cake and filling to customize.

Is there an email address to make inquiries at? I wanted to get a quote on a cake but am not able to go into the store at the moment

Best way is to call the bakery!

Hi. Do you make custom sugar cookies? If so, how much and how far in advance should the order be placed? TY

Do they make smash cakes? Can you pick a theme for the smash cake? How much do they charge?

Yes, I ordered my smash cake here. I would make a call and ask.

Do you guys make number cakes? Like the number 27 as a cake?

Can you make a sugar free cake?

    Prolly

Anybody know the general price range for 2 tier cakes from here for about 70 people? Plain buttercream outside

They are more than happy to give a quote. I paid $86 for a 1/2 sheet 1/2 chocolate cake 1/2 vanilla cake strawberry filling. Feeds about 50 people

Hello, how much would it cost to do 40 cookies with custom sugar printing portrait? Also, what kind of cookie can you do for the custom order? i.e. cinnamon sugar, shortbread, chocolate chip, etc? Thank you.

I asked last time I was here to order a baby shower cake. They do not personalize the cookies and I think he actually told me they sell them for someone else

Egg tarts on the wall, cute videos rolling and the bathroom painting made me lol. The pastry display was amazing. So many unique options, with the cutest designs. We got one of each egg tarts and a couple character mouses. Egg tarts were great. Favorite was the caramelized one, since the crust was flaky and the filling was like creme brulee without being too sweet. The coconut egg tart wasn't giving egg tart, but it was amazing. Least favorite was the original, since it was a tad overdone and giving scrambled egg. We then got the capybara and garlic bird mouses. I'm not an orange chocolate fan, so the capybara was more cuteness than taste for me, but the bird was great. Staff were helpful and efficient. I'd come back!

The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. It's also filled with a light, soft cream. DELICIOUS! I arrived at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) on a Wednesday (around 3:42PM). Parking is simple. There's a competitive customer parking lot. And there's a city public parking lot about a two minute walk away. Staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit. Staff immediately helped me. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter; however, the kiosk felt very dated & the prices on the kiosk felt less transparent. I recommend just ordering at the counter. There's no penalty for using card at this donut establishment. As mentioned, I love the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95). It's not too sweet; rather, it all felt balanced. However, this is a VERY messy donut; I recommend eating this donut with a fork and knife. The powder fall everywhere, and your clothes can quickly get stained with chocolate powder. Still, it's a delicious pastry. On ambiance, Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) is comfortable. This business is more reminiscent of a cafe than a typical donut shop. There's customer internet with password; details on the counter. There's a gender neutral restroom. And there's an electrical outlet & outlet adaptor for devices. The location is fairly small; there's one interior table and one small counter. Fortunately, this place felt airy and well-ventilated. There's also some upbeat, fun music in this clean spot. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel). There's sincere passion & hard work within these walls. (FYI - they are going to open a Goomo tea shop on the corner in the same space!) D'ange has so many fun flavors of buns. I really liked the taro with mochi one. The only thing about the buns is that the fillings tend to be only on one side of the bun, so there are been times as I'm biting into the bun, I'm not getting any filling until the last couple bites. They even sell cookies and all different flavors of toast that would make some yummy brick toast desserts! And if you need a whole cake, they have them in the case ready to go too! The buns I got were great, as were the Portuguese egg tarts. They even sold Chinese tamales at my last visit, so I picked one up too. I don't know many places that sell these, and I used to eat them all the time when my grandma made them years ago, but now that no one in my family knows how to make them, it's a special treat if I can find it. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with my experience here…read more I have called around to numerous bakeries and this was the only one that was within our budget! I think it's ridiculous other stores are charging $125+ for a 6 inch gender reveal cake (no decorations/ no writing). Is it because it's a gender reveal cake with either pink or blue frosting so they have to hike up the ridiculous prices?! Look no further everyone!! Get all your baked goods and beautifully made cakes here! Other places also want a week's notice before pick up. This spot is only 1 day!! I spoke to the owner over the phone and gave him the details of what my vision was for the cake. He made my vision come true, but even better than I thought it would be! And because you order the cake one day ahead, you can taste how moist and fresh the cake actually is! Versus if you were to order a week in advance anywhere else, the cake would be dry and brittle!! I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my experience here. From my inquiry over the phone up until pick up. I am very very pleased and will continue to come to this establishment. This time I ordered a quarter sheet chocolate cake with chocolate cream. It was really good, rich enough to taste like chocolate but not so sweet that it became overwhelming. Everyone at the party seemed to enjoy it. They also open at 8am which makes pickup convenient if you need a cake for an early event. One little bonus: if you pay cash, there's usually a small discount. Let's just say Uncle Sam might not be getting invited to that party.
