This time I ordered a quarter sheet chocolate cake with chocolate cream. It was really good, rich enough to taste like chocolate but not so sweet that it became overwhelming. Everyone at the party seemed to enjoy it. They also open at 8am which makes pickup convenient if you need a cake for an early event. One little bonus: if you pay cash, there's usually a small discount. Let's just say Uncle Sam might not be getting invited to that party. Once we agreed on an inspiration picture and idea she put my specifications to work and low and behold, an absolute masterpiece! The detail on each part of the artwork was outstanding. The person I gifted it to was ecstatic. If you take a look at each picture printed and cut out perfectly, the teacup molded to the perfect size, each colored detail intricately placed, absolutely every single thing done with prose and care. Talk about a passion for what she does. You absolutely won't be disappointed. Talk about a date, talk about a time, and she will work it out with you. She communicates incredibly quickly and will be sure to make you happy!

There is a hot case which you can see what is being cooled down. The smell is always amazing. The bread loaves are great. The cakes are good, not overly sweet too. If you're lucky, they might have bags of cake scraps for sale. Try the egg tarts too, both versions are delicious, but the Macau is better. The people are always helpful and nice. Service is always good. Definitely come check it out.

The top is crispy while the rest of the bun is soft. Sesame bun was soft and filled with good amount of sesame inside. Egg tart was also good. Although the crust could be flakier, the egg custard part was very good. I haven't tried everything in the store but what I have tried recently, I liked it a lot. I will be back to try other items. They even sell cookies and all different flavors of toast that would make some yummy brick toast desserts! And if you need a whole cake, they have them in the case ready to go too! The buns I got were great, as were the Portuguese egg tarts. They even sold Chinese tamales at my last visit, so I picked one up too. I don't know many places that sell these, and I used to eat them all the time when my grandma made them years ago, but now that no one in my family knows how to make them, it's a special treat if I can find it. They have ones with meat (with or without peanuts), and some with just the mung bean. They must be really know for this because 2 other parties ahead of me were buying tons of the tamales!

TGTG is an app that allows businesses to sell their leftover or flawed goods for a discounted price in a bundle of their choice. So you don't know what you get, BUT it reduces food waste (#sustainability) while being easier on your wallet. You pay a price they name and they give you the value they listed. The owner (I presume) handed us a prepackaged brown bag the moment we got there. It wasn't busy at all so the whole transaction was under 5 minutes. It's a mom & pop Asian bakery that's spacious and warm. Our surprise bag contained 7 mini breads: black sesame mochi, red sesame mochi, taro bun with filling, hot dog cheese bread, buo luo bao, ham + cheese bun, and another bread I couldn't quite identify. This is $21 value for $6.99 is what we paid. After heating them up, they tasted almost like fresh so we can't complain. However, I would say these days $3 would get you bigger buns at other similar bakeries, but their fillings were very generous, so it's hard to say. Parking has spots designated to the bakery so look out for the signs.
