They offer some interesting flavors like Biscoff Crunch, Taro Salted Egg Yolk, and black sesame hojicha which are a nice change from the usual vanilla and chocolate options. For drinks, I tried the Pistachio Cloud Top Matcha and the Black Sesame Cloud Top. Both were well balanced and not overly sweet. The pistachio matcha was my favorite of the two. The staff were friendly and patient, even though there was a steady flow of customers and plenty of people taking their time deciding what to order. One thing to keep in mind is that they do sell out of popular items fairly early, so if you have something specific in mind, it's worth going earlier in the day. Overall, Browned is a solid bakery with creative pastries, good drinks, and friendly service. It's easy to see why it's become such a popular spot in San Gabriel.

There is a hot case which you can see what is being cooled down. The smell is always amazing. The bread loaves are great. The cakes are good, not overly sweet too. If you're lucky, they might have bags of cake scraps for sale. Try the egg tarts too, both versions are delicious, but the Macau is better. The people are always helpful and nice. Service is always good. Definitely come check it out.
