This is a new bakery located in a plaza in San Gabriel next to Pho Ga District. It is a family owned bakery that has fresh bread, homemade cookies and pastries. They make very beautiful cakes. I ordered a full sheet cake for my senior residents at work to celebrate their birthdays. Cake was decorated very pretty and cake was very delicious and fresh. Sponge cake was not overly sweet and it was perfect. The filling I opted for fresh fruit. I ordered for strawberry and owner added grapes. It was the first time trying it like that and it was different. I loved it! All the residents enjoyed the cake also and asked where i got it! Definitely give this place a try and help them out since they just opened 3 months ago. Support small business!

Reasonable pricing and affordable cakes! Not too sweet & very light! Cake was bigger than I expected. Will definitely come back again.

My boyfriend and I came here around 6:50ish it was so close to their closing time but they were welcoming and opened the door for us. We got a variety of breads and baked good and my boyfriend was excited with all the varieties they have. We got a discount for what we purchased and another 10% off for our next purchase! The cashier was nice and we didn't feel rushed as we were picking out our baked goods ! The place is pretty small and I'm not sure they have dine in or not but maybe I'll see when I come by next time ! Prices of breads are decently priced. Will come back and definitely recommend.

Looking for a custom birthday cake in last minute. Come across KK Bakery with good reviews and decide to give it a try. Due to time limit, June can only make the basic cake with custom flavors which I totally understand. It turns out a perfect delicious tall layered cake which I didn't expect. June is great to communicate what they can do and some suggestions to keep my budget friendly. Thank you and definitely recommend this place!!

If you're looking for a bakery that will completely blow your mind and raise the bar for all future cakes -- KK Bakery is IT. I ordered a custom cake (Earl Grey + Coffee flavor -- yes, dreams do come true!) for my brother's birthday, and let me tell you... it was an absolute showstopper. From the moment I opened the box, people were already "oohing" and "ahhing" over how beautiful the cake looked -- the design was elegant, clean, and exactly what I envisioned. Honestly, it could've been the centerpiece of a wedding and no one would've blinked. But then we cut into it. And that's when the magic REALLY happened. The flavors? Out of this world. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, just rich and aromatic enough to make every bite feel special. The Earl Grey had this subtle floral note that paired so perfectly with the bold, comforting coffee layers -- it was like sipping a fancy latte in dessert form. Everyone -- and I mean everyone -- kept going back for seconds and asking me where this masterpiece was from. (I almost didn't want to tell them because now I'm scared this gem won't stay a hidden secret for long!) On top of the amazing quality of the cake, the customer service was next-level. The team was incredibly kind, responsive, and so attentive to detail. They made the whole process feel easy and personalized -- even down to confirming the little design touches that made the cake feel extra special. KK Bakery is officially my go-to for all future events, celebrations, or whenever I want to treat myself to something spectacular. Support local, support talented bakers, and treat your tastebuds -- you won't regret it.

Brand new bakery in plaza on San Gabriel blvd. Family owned bakery that has authentic Chinese pastries, cake, bread, drinks and coffee. They even have unique options like tres leches and taro layered pudding. The honey toast is amazing fresh out of the oven with a crisp outer texture paired with a fluffy cloud like center. I saw so many people also coming to buy lotto tickets and coffees. They have a seated counter area that you can relax and enjoy your sweets. They remodeled the site so it's more modern and clean than when it was a donut shop. They are doing a soft opening now according to the owners who were super nice.

As always, happy to order custom cakes here. My most recent order was a hello kitty cake with the filling as earl grey cream with strawberries. The cake was moist, not too sweet and super cute! I love their service and will be ordering more and more in the future!

Wow, in addition to the pastries, they make exceptional Jasmine Milk Tea as well! What a sweet surprise especially in this 90 degree

Great service! Responded very quick to my order. I sent in an order and asked for pick up the same day and they accepted! I'm glad I discovered this bakery :). The cake was delicious.

I just grabbed their BBQ Pork Puff and a seriously legit cup of Hong Kong-style milk tea, The puff is super crispy on the outside with a flavor-packed, And the milk tea, hits that authentic HK flavor, I'll definitely be back.

Ordered this cake for my nieces B-day in August and came out so cute and taste good. Not too sweet and filling was great. The outside was wipped cream with strawberry cream filling inside.

This is what you get for the $5 and $6 cups drinks are 3/4 filled

Probably expecting too much from a bakery, charging $5 and $6 and got 3/4 full of both drink

They did provide few tables in the venue if you fancied enjoying your pastries straight away like us. We got their Garlic Bird for the cake, the mini croissants, and doubtlessly the egg tarts. The cake was prolly the only one that I thought so-so. Unique flavor with green grape yogurt and taro paste, but just okay in taste. The mini croissants were pretty good for the price. It wasn't like abundantly filled, but certainly not bad for being $2ish esp the salted yolk. The egg tarts should be the reason to come and come back again. Super affordable and the buttery case made them great! The Portugese one was certainly the default one to try but I personally loved the caramel croissant one.

This particular location though, could use some work with consistency. The selection and quality of pastries and drinks seem to vary throughout my many visits. My top pastries are all of their croissant-like pastries, especially the Pastry Frank (filled with a savory sausage inside) and Mini Strawberry Lemon Cream Croissant (filled with a smooth and tangy lemon cream and fresh strawberries that add a tartness). Both of these have flaky, buttery exterior shells that are wonderful to bite into. For cakes, I love the strawberry soft cream cake. This cake is simple, light, and not too sweet. The thin layers of vanilla, soft cream, and strawberries blend excellently together. I appreciate that they provide free candles with whole cakes. An underrated cake is the green tea roll cake, which is delicious, but not ideal for celebrations.

Writing another review because I love this place so much!…read more This year, for my mom's birthday, we decided to try something from their low-sugar series (love how this is an option!). We got the Berry Summer cake for 5-6 people for $138 and it was worth every bite. The cream is so light, the jam was delicious, and the cake was beautiful. Loved the forks, cake knife, and candles that came with the cake. Pickup was super convenient and flexible and ordering was easy (ordered 2 days prior). Highly recommend! Street parking is easy and there are some tables outside.

Warning though, forks are raw edged metal so they feel harsh to the touch. Service 5 star: Nice and easy pickup. Very easy to order online with very fast availability compared to some cake ordering places that require more time. Convenient. Taste of black sesame cake 0 stars: I didn't get a clear description from my family who ate about every flavor profile but I asked if the cake was comparable to a 99 ranch cake my aunt got one year that tasted horrible. My sister didn't even want to answer which cake was worse. So I feel justified to score the cake as 0 in flavor If I didn't want to eat that 99 ranch cake and my sister said this cake was just as bad... Look of the cake: from pervious seasons, the black sesame cake looked really cute! With the spring season, the design changed. I understand the concept but... it's really not that pretty anymore. The green icing looks cheap and the flower on top looks like a weed. Compared to the fruits, nuts, and macaroon decoration from previous season, the design is worse. I bought a cake from Freesia knowing that reviews on Yelp for the taste of the cakes were a hit or miss but my brother-in-law likes black sesame and most of the reviews that mentioned the cake tasting good was of this flavor. I was treating this purchase as an experiment since I was also interested in the mango sago for my husband's upcoming birthday and he likes mango sago. Well, it was a miss. I appreciate the service, convenience, and packaging but an inedible cake is a pass.
