Very nice, inviting, and clean shop. The employees were friendly, and the drinks were DELICIOUS! We did not order any desserts, but wow! That all looked amazing!
The Dubai Chocolate 9 inch is good, tasty and different. It is chocolaty but not too sweet. We Love it!
The service at Lady M is great but some of their products leave a lot to be desired. I bought an 8pc Bon Bon box and some of the crepe biscuits as a gift for relatives abroad. My trip wound up getting delayed for half a year so we just wound up opening it and eating it... and fortunately we did cause they were NOT good. The crepe biscuits tasted stale even though they were well within the use by date. Half of the bonbons were good (like the matcha crunch, passionfruit, tiramisu), but when we returned months later to buy bonbons, they seem to have discontinued all of the ones that actually tasted good. Tried the Dubai chocolate mille crepe cake as well and it wasn't bad but not great. Since the cakes need to be refrigerated, the pistachio kunafa layer on top was sadly really hard and difficult to get through. The store is bright and clean and conveniently located in the Arcadia mall.
YAAASSSSSSS Finally got to try multiple crepe cakes like I intended! In a previous visit at another location, I regrettably allowed my girls to choose and order and though the strawberry and cream cake they chose was delicios, it wasn't what I knew Lady M for. So since it's my birthday and it's my choice of cakes, I chose the following slices... to make up for not getting any last time. Pistachio Mille Crêpes Amedei Chocolate Mille Crêpes Signature Mille Crepes All of them were delicious! The crepes were soft, the fillings were delicious. The texture when you're cutting through the layers is amazing. Each flavor is great! I think it depends on what you're in the mood for, then that's what you should get. At this time, the CHOCOLATE was the biggest hit. This Lady M branch is located inside the Arcadia Mall. I'm sure it has a real name, but this is what I call it. Anyway, because it's part of the mall, there are plenty of parking spaces that are free and available. There is no eating area.
The service was great. The person helping was very nice and explained what they had. I only got a slice of red velvet cake and unfortunately it was disappointing. It was hard and dry. The kind you buy at the grocery store tastes better.
There's something about the all-white interiors of Lady M that just screams elegance. It's almost as if you're being warned that you're walking into a fancy bakery that uses premium ingredients so be prepared to splurge. Because that's exactly what we did. The spacious ordering area is intentionally sparse because the cakes are supposed to take center stage. All you can see the moment you set foot (not step foot!) into the store is the beautiful baked treats. We ordered the noisette au chocolat and we were not disappointed. It's not overly rich like I expected because instead of all layers being a creamy mousse, there is one layer which has a gelatin-like consistency. I imagine it's to give the palate a break from all the gooey textures. And it works! Not too sweet, and it has all sorts of mouthfeels - crunchy, creamy, chewy and gooey. Loved it!
These crepe layered cakes aren't for me. Maybe for you, though. Service was fine. If you like your cakes with lots of cream filling, you'll probably enjoy this place. As I pushed my fork down the slice of cake for a bite, I could feel all the delicate, thin layers breaking apart. The taste reminds me of a soft cannoli. I know it takes a lot of work making these cakes, which is why they're also so expensive. They sell their original cake for $11 a slice! They're running a limited seasonal pre-order for their red velvet crepe cake which you can only order online. The price? I think I heard them say it's $100+! The place doesn't offer seating directly inside their establishment, but they do have a designated area for Lady M Cake customers to enjoy their beverages and cakes just steps from the entrance.
I have to say my favorite cake here is the Strawberry shortcake. It has fresh strawberries inside and on top and the cake underneath isn't dry. It's not too sweet either. However, it's almost always sold out if you go there too late. We were told if we wanted a slice, we have to be there by 4 PM on a weekend or Friday. Crazy popular. They also have different slices of cake like crepe layered cake, taro, and chocolate cakes. They sell them either by slice or by an entire cake. They are pretty expensive per slice, it's at least 10 dollars a slice but the quality is worth it. They also have an eating area outside but it closes around 8 PM. It's reserved only for Lady M customers. Overall, I like the cakes here. One of the best!
I love their cakes. The strawberry shortcake was moist, light and just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also tried their passion fruit crepe cake recently and I loved the passion fruit flavor. The cake tasted tropical and the flavors were balanced. Some crepe cakes honestly taste like eating paper to me and I didn't like that kind of texture. However, Lady M's crepe cakes have the crepes so thin that the texture didn't bother me. In the past I have always ordered their traditional cakes, now I will start getting their crepe cakes. I did get their moon cake special edition box last year. The box was beautiful but the flavors did't work for me. The flavor combinations didn't come together and that's why I am not giving them 5 stars. The flavors were more modern like lychee and rose flavored moon cakes. They were pretty flavorless. I like this location at the Santa Anita mall because they have their own seating area right outside the store. Service was good. Lady M is always a treat!
Lady M (est 2001) is a luxurious and classy dessert bakery store inside a mall. It is most famous for the creation of Signature Mille Crêpes. It blends French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities, resulting in fine thin cakes that are a touch sweet and perfect for every occasion. However, the quality is either a hit or miss which don't equate the high end tag price. Staff was cordial. Atmosphere was relaxing. Parking was not an issue given its in a large shopping mall. At the end of the day there are better dessert shops that trump Lady M's cakes. Overall, it's a modest luxury cakes. If you're into presentation then this brand is for you.

It's been forever since I've had Lady M, so when I spotted it while walking around Santa Anita Mall with my mom, I had to stop! Total impulse decision -- and no regrets. We sat in the little section just for Lady M, and they even serve water, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is adorable -- very chic and boutique-y. Such a cute spot to treat yourself (and your mom). Totally hit the spot.
Everyone raves about the Mille Crepe. Yes, I know it's premium but the Mille Crepe tastes amazing. Sadly, when your friend has gluten allergies, you have to settle for the Cheesecake. Gateau Nuage A cinnamon-kissed graham cracker crust is the base for an airy, whipped cheesecake. The top is finished with a thin layer of sweetened sour cream to create a silky finish to the perfect cheesecake. Very rich, decadent, and it will cost you 10 bucks and some change. Overall, a really nice creamy cheesecake that reminds me of a Basque! read more

My husband and I stopped by this bakery after having LUNCH at Noodle St. which was right next door next to Din Tai Fung. One of our close friends wanted to buy a CAKE here last time but, he changed his mind because it was too HOT outside... We saw a VERY ATTRACTIVE SIGN for a drink so we decided to step inside and ordered it... NO GREETING UPON ENTRY: I felt like the cake was more important than the customers. The ladies were more focused on making the cake it seems. That's nice but, what's the point of making all that cake if no one is going to buy it? TIRAMISU LATTE: 10/10 That drink was seriously good. It's definitely been a hot minute since I've been back here. I don't come by too often because of the drive, the parking situation, and the overall price. But as a once-in-a-blue-moon splurge, I'd say it's doable. The staff overall are courteous and accommodating, though not overly friendly. It's definitely the kind of place where you can tell it's meant to feel more upscale rather than casual. As soon as you walk in, everything looks polished and well put together. That being said, I'd give it about a 3/5 for overall value. If you're budget-conscious but looking for an occasional treat, this could be a good spot. However, if you're on a tight budget, this probably won't be the place for you. On the other hand, if you don't mind spending a bit more, you may really enjoy it here. As for the cakes, I'd say they're decent overall. I'm not sure all of them are worth the price, but there are definitely a handful that stand out and are worth trying. read more

So the look of this place gives this trendy classic vibe, but it's just ridiculously overpriced. First off, there is no menu! You don't really know how much things are or what the options is. However there is a drink menu when you ASK for it. Their drinks are typically but really pricey for what it is. Their cakes and drinks are amazing tho. They are delicious. They have an "outdoor" sitting area. Apparently it's closed sooo can't use it so what's the point. Also, the girl helping us seem really didn't want to be there. She wasn't really helpful. This is a small mille crepe cake shop located on the second floor of Santa Anita Mall next to Din Tai Fung Service was ok, not too good or bad Pricing is definitely pricey so expect to splurge $12.65 for a slice of their mille crepe cake! The 9" crepe cakes cost $115 and 6" crepe cakes cost $70! There is a good variety of flavors, such as matcha, strawberry, tres leches, earl grey, checkers, and tiramisu! The Green Tea Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) was very creamy and delicious! Loved the many layers and how it wasn't too sweet! Wish the matcha had a stronger taste since it tasted very subtle. This was 7/10 Signature Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) was very good! Really enjoyed how I could taste every layer since this was the original without any additional flavor! Loved the light cream on every layer and how soft it was! This was 9/10 Tiramisu Mille Crepe (slice - $12.65) is a MUST for coffee lovers! So yummy with all of the many layers that were thinly covered with cream and espresso sponge cake! This was definitely one of my favorites! Best Mille crepe cakes ever. The cakes are so soft, decadent, and delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness, absolutely just melts in your mouth, so heavenly. We come here once in a while to get few slices. Tried some new flavors! I am surprised they are actually doing a buy 3 get 1 free slice promotion! I got two slices but my parents got 3 so we got a free slice from them since we paid together. But I will just talk about my purchases. Dubai Chocolate~This flavor is $15 each slice! I think they should have a price tag on the difference of price on the cakes. I think this one is just okay. Not as good as I expected. It needs more of the Pistachio flavor and fillings. But it's definitely not bad as Lady M always have good quality. Strawberry Strudel~This has a cream cheese fillings. It's pretty good if you like cream cheese and a slight strawberry flavor. The red/pink stuff on top is pretty tasty. Not sure what it is. However, it's still not something I would repeat. My favorite flavors from Lady M is still their Tiramisu. Their Ube is pretty good too. I think I just like it when the flavor is stronger and true to taste to what it's supposed to be. Some of these flavors are not as strong as I would imagine or sometimes it's too sweet. Their service is normal. Nothing stands out. Ambiance is simple. read more

This is a cute as their place. Their matcha I did not like especially the strawberry cold foam. I ordered the crème brûlée crepe cake it was cool I always wanted to try it but it was mid. TBH wouldn't go back again maybe only for a different flavor of the crepe cake since I have yet to find another place that sells. I've been a long time Lady M Cake fan and I've followed them from place to place. I was happy to learn that they have a location at the Santa Anita mall. Their location here is definitely pretty and fancy, reminds me of their classic stores. The staff were nice and allowed us ample time to look around. I appreciated that I could take videos and pictures inside and they didn't make a fuss about it. They weren't overly friendly but they were nice and attentive when it came time to pickup the slice I wanted. This shop had 8+ cakes out which is pretty good selection wise. My favorite flavor here hands down is the passion fruit but sadly they didn't have it when I came. My second favorite is their matcha but I figured I should try something new. I went with the strawberry flavor and to me it was meh. Nothing special. Next time I'll stick with my top two choices or at least maybe try the checkered one as that looked good. 4 stars at the end of the day as I'm not a huge sweets person and the cake slice is $10+. It's a bit steep for me for what it is. I think when these cakes first came out they were all the rage so it was easy to spend the $10. Not that I've had them a handful of times they've lost the wow factor and it's hard to justify the price. I do appreciate how light the cake is and that it's not too sugary. Definitely a good cake option but not something I'd rush back to get again. read more
I was eating my way through San Gabriel's food scene and decided to have dessert. Located inside the Santa Anita mall on 2nd floor with plenty of parking. Some unique flavors of mille cake on offer included passion fruit, purple yam, jasmine calamansi, and matcha chocolate. The passion fruit tasted just like the fruit; not too strong with perfectly dense layers like you typically expect from Lady M. Customers can devour their slice at the designated seating area just a few steps away with tables and chairs. A Lady M employee wearing glasses was "guarding" this area and when we asked about sitting there after our purchase she wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Just ignored me which was the only negative about our experience! Lady M is not cheap so I expected better customer service. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at Lady M. I bought a box of Crêpe Biscuits on September 27th, and when I opened it, it smelled like spoiled oil -- clearly bad. The expiration date said October, so it technically wasn't expired, but it definitely can not be eat！ I went back to the store to ask for an exchange, not even a refund, but they refused. For awell-known brand like Lady M, I expected much better customer service. Sadly, I'll never buy from them again. read more

I'm sad that Lady M have closed a few of their locations so I try to support them as best as I can if I'm in the area. My friend and I happened to be at the Arcadia mall and came here for our Mille crepe fix! I have tried their matcha flavor before and wanted to switch it up so I got their lavender matcha flavor. It was very pretty and just luxurious! There's a little enclave section for Lady M customers with velvet ropes, which is kinda funny but has that VIP vibe haha. Come here and support their business! There is no place to eat the cake besides the tables and seats outside the shop toward the middle of the mall on the same floor but they do give a nice box for each slice you buy and carrying bags are .10 additional. What's not to like about desserts at Lady M cakes!!?!! Always fresh, always DELISH!!!! After a long craving, we went to Lady M and ordered a variety of slices to enjoy at home!!! The lady at the counter was patient and friendly - and packaged everything perfectly. This store is bright, clean and convenient. Too bad there's no seating area - would be nice to be able to sit for a few minutes to enjoy the dessert here with a cup of coffee, instead of having to bring them to go each time. :/ read more
