Moo Moo Mia is a small, cute shop serving handmade ice cream, and it made the perfect treat after walking around downtown Monrovia, which is such a nice area to stroll. The flavors were good, and they have some unique ones like banana bread that you won't find just anywhere. A few flavors were a bit sweeter than I'm used to, but still enjoyable. Service was good and friendly, and I'd happily stop by again next time I'm in the area!
Moo Moo Mia in downtown Monrovia really has the BEST Oreo and Cream ice cream around town. It is SO good I can literally eat this for lunch every day if I don't gain weight from it. The ice cream shoppe is cute and the menu items are of average price. A single scoop is about $6 and they offer ice cream flights if you want to try out different flavors. Service wise-I think it varies. It was my third time there a few days ago and I think at my first visit there, the girl who helped me was very sweet but at my last visit, service was just so-so. Overall, Moo Moo Mia a great place for dessert.
Our new favorite local ice cream spot! Parking available on the street. We started coming here in May, and their Banana Cream Pie flavor keeps me coming back. Every flavor is good, but I really enjoy this one in particular. We took a pint to-go which hits the spot at home when I have a sweet tooth after dinner. I hope they keep this one on the menu permanently. We usually get our scoop with a waffle bowl. If you are stuck between two flavors, they can also do a half scoop of each! Service has always been incredibly friendly, and we love just enjoying our ice cream inside the shop. Nice and clean, but can definitely get crowded during the after dinner rush.
Been here a couple times, the ice cream is so delicious that I would say its the best spot to go to in Monrovia. This last time, I ordered two milkshakes and 1 Waffle cone with some of my favorite flavors and it did not disappoint. Ice cream so good you gotta grab some of the pints they have for sale and take it home!

We ended up getting the flight for $15 and it was totally worth it! My favorite was the coffee chip, and my mom loved the strawberry and chocolate one. Everything was super creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Such a cute little spot & definitely coming back
Yum! We stopped by to grab a cold treat on a super hot summer day in Monrovia. One of July flavors was Split Decision which was a banana and chocolate concoction and it was absolutely wonderful. I got that in a waffle cone along with. Honey Lavender as a double scoop, and both of them were delicious.. the outside aesthetic is beautiful a was the inside it looks very vintage and clean. The woman work in the counter was very sweet and professional and patient.
Such a cute shop! Came in on a hot day and were greeted by a happy young lady. We eventually opted for a taro and Forero Roche shake and it was DELICIOUS! The Forero Roche provides a nice crunch. Would come again and would recommend.

They're open daily - Mon-Thurs - 12pm-10pm - Fri & Sat - 11am-11pm - Sun - 11am-10pm Parking was easy since there was a nearby free parking structure and also street parking! Inside was quite small but there were a couple tables and chairs Service was friendly and they offered free samples! Pricing was reasonable. - Single Scoop - $5.50 - Kids Scoop - $4.25 - Double Scoop - $7 - Triple Scoop - $8.50 There were milkshakes, floats, and sundaes ($8+), as well as pints (1 pint - $11.50, 2 pint - $23, and 3 pint - $34.50) Bowls & cones were only $1.25 and toppings were $0.75! There were also other yummy baked goods, like cookies and brownies! Got the Double ($7) and I chose the Ferrero Rocher & Double Coffee Chip. The Ferrero Rocher was so creamy and delicious! It had bits of hazelnut and chocolate chips inside. It wasn't too sweet and it definitely resembled the candy very well so this was 10/10! The Double Coffee Chip was good! It had bits of chocolate chip and it wasn't too sweet. It tasted like it was made from actual coffee beans and didn't taste artificial. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely return and recommend!
Moo Moo Mia in downtown Monrovia is seriously a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The food was the real highlight though every dish we tried was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and clearly made with care. You can tell they really put thought into their menu. What stood out just as much was the service. The staff were polite, courteous, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. They made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall great experience. If you're in the Monrovia area and looking for something delicious with great vibes and friendly service, Moo Moo Mia is definitely worth a visit. I'll for sure be coming back to try more!
I enjoyed the ambiance of this shop. There were plenty of table inside to sit and enjoy your dessert. There were also some chairs outside the shop. I love the choices of ice cream There were. You can get shakes made too. The workers were really nice and fast. Samples were served with a small metal spoon and there was a container that held all the used spoons on top so it doesnt get thrown away. I will be back!
This 2 stars is for the service on Monday. ( same date I write this review) I love Moo Moo Mia, this is my favorite spot for ice cream. I've been their customer since last year and no other place can replace it until today. This employee I'm not sure if she's the new one or she's been here for awhile but I havent met her before. Her face looks annoyed when helping us out with samples, we wanted to tip but she doesn't look welcoming us at all. Then I asked for a spoon, and ask her if she's happy today. Completely ignored me. If the owner see this, please train your employee. Don't let this beautiful place go down because of the service

There's public parking or street parking to get here. There's some outdoor chairs or indoor table seating. There's a decent selection of flavors plus the monthly rotation of flavors. The staff are nice and helpful. You can get ice cream real quick. You can even buy it by the pint and some store merch. The noise level is decent amd it's usually clean inside. I got the Thin mints girl scout cookies flavor. It's basically what it advertised. The sweetness level is just right here. I've had a few of the other flavors before and none have disappointed.
This month's flavors had me absolutely dying to come back to Moo Moo Mia! I tried the Toasted Almond Boysenberry, and it was seriously to die for. It wasn't even on display, but I asked if they still had it and I'm SO glad I did! After one bite, I knew I had to have it. The combination of toasted almond and boysenberry was incredible and easily became one of my favorites. We also tried this month's Maple Brown Sugar Pecan flavor, which was absolutely exquisite. It reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch drizzled with maple syrup: sweet, warm, and so comforting. Both flavors were amazing in their own way, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what Moo Moo Mia comes up with next! read more

Delicious ice cream that tastes gourmet but also fresh! The flavors we had were strawberry sorbet, lemon sorbet, and the July seasonal honey lavender ice cream. My personal favorite was the honey lavender but all of them were tasty and refreshing. What I liked about all the ones we tried was that everything tasted non-artificial. Everything tasted like they used real ingredients which is much appreciated! They have a wide selection to choose from and a few new speciality flavors a month. Plenty of seating. may 2026 flavors -dodger's tea party w/ earl grey tea and biscuits was my favorite! -double espresso - if you love coffee this is the one for you. its a super strong delicious coffee flavor -strawberry koldskal was a nice in between of an ice cream and a sorbet, sweet and slightly sour -tiramisu: sadly disappointing w/ the chocolate melting the fastest read more

Yum! First time visiting, their homemade ice cream was fantastic! The shop was spacious & clean with indoor & outdoor seating. Their ice cream is made with real fruit and you can instantly taste it. The staff was so patient & generous in letting me sample several flavors. I love how they label gluten free, vegan, dairy free so you feel safe choosing your flavor. Their mystery sorbet this week was grapefruit, it was delicious. I ended up choosing their flavor of the month: tiramisu & strawberry koldskal (buttermilk). My friend chose strawberry sorbet & Dutch chocolate. I'm so glad I found this place, we will definitely return to try more flavors. There's a free parking lot & street parking on Lime Ave next to the library & a few spots in front of the store. read more

I ordered the Trio Taster ($7.50). That's one full scoop and two half scoops in one cup. I selected Pumpkin Spice & Stracciatella, Lina's Dubai Chocolate, and Sweet Taro. Each bite felt heavenly. Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) is one of the best. The hype is real!! I arrived at Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) on Saturday (around 7:05PM). Street parking was full this weekend. Fortunately, Old Town Monrovia's public parking lot is nearby. It's a brief three minute walk. Staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and diligent. Staff happily offered samples, and staff eagerly answered all questions. Fortunately, I arrived with no line, so service was immediate. I ordered the Trio Taster ($7.50). It's a lot of ice cream! And its flavor & texture was spectacular. The Lina's Dubai Chocolate was very creamy, silky with crackly flakes that pop with pistachio flavor. Its chocolate tasted very rich. Next, the Pumpkin Spice & Stracciatella felt delicate yet flavorful. Its pumpkin spices danced brazenly. Lastly, the Sweet Taro felt very memorable and fresh. Its loving taro flavor wrapped me in a caring, tender embrace. The ice cream tasted very fresh and creamy. I felt happy. Regarding ambiance, Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) felt comfortable. Its interior had a light warmth. There's also clean floors and tables. The location had one customer restroom and three available electrical outlets. I appreciated how its decor's colors felt bright and cheerful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia). One Yelp friend had described this location as one of the best ice cream joints in the San Gabriel Valley. To my utter delight, I'm inclined to agree. 5 out of 5. Go!! read more
Yummy ice cream! I really enjoyed Moo Moo Mia. I visited in August 2025 and tried their Cookie Butter and Banana Chocolate Cajeta flavors. They allow you to order a split scoop and enjoy two different flavors despite ordering a single scoop, which I greatly appreciated as someone trying this shop for the first time and wanting to try multiple flavors. They have ample seating and friendly staff who are happy to provide samples of different flavors as you figure out what you would like to order. There is street parking out front or a public lot in the back. read more
Still going strong as our fave ice cream spot! We've been regulars here for years - Moo Moo Mia really shines with the way they prioritize natural ingredients (often sourced from local farmers markets - especially in their rotating sorbet flavors) and lack of all that artificial stuff that's so ubiquitous nowadays. I can really tell the difference anytime we try to get ice cream anywhere else - so I guess Moo Moo Mia has ruined me for all the other ice creams haha! I love that they have new seasonal flavors each month. Sept 2025 was one for the books - they introduced their take on the Dubai chocolate and it was magnificent. And they had a new sorbet flavor - fresh blueberry and it was absolutely divine. I did a split scoop half and half with each of those and it was my fave thing I've tried here so far! Staff are always super friendly and welcoming- offering any samples we wish. Prices are a tad higher than other places but the quality is definitely there. They have a really excellent rewards program too so we always seem to be racking up free scoops or BOGO pints. The best ice cream in the SGV (if not the world) - highly recommend! read more

AHHH the December holiday flavors here are to die for!! Highly recommend the banana bramble and peppermint mocha before the month ends. The cashiers were so patient and let us try so many samples even though the line was long. If you want to get two flavors without doing the double scoop, you can request to do the single scoop with half of each flavor you want. They're generous with each half scoop and that way you can try both the flavors you want :) read more
Was really craving ice cream and stumbled upon this place. The staff was very friendly and patient, gave us samples we requested without seeming like it was too much. My favorite was the almond marzipan cake... it was delicious and it's so hard to find almond flavored ice cream! Love the mix of the cake with the ice cream. The decor is cute and they have tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the ice cream. There was a steady stream of customers coming in. Would definitely come back again. Love ice cream and wanted to try this place. Good selection of unique flavors but ordered the Dutch chocolate and hubby had the sweet taro. Mine was creamy and delicious. Hubby enjoyed his. Shop is small and server was friendly. Loved the ice cream cone trash can. read more

I have never been to old town Monrovia before but I am so impressed! It's so cute! Anyways, after my friend and I saw a musical at the church, we needed a sweet treat and she said this was a great spot. Walked in 30 mins before closing and it wasn't busy at all. I had a sample of the cinnamon ice cream and was so impressed with how accurate it was! It was so tasty, so I got a scoop. I was very intrigued by their other flavors though...lots of variety! Moo Moo Mia in Monrovia has the best customer service. When you arrive you are greeted by warm friendly staff ready to give you samples to try. I love the unique flavor offerings and seasonal flavors. They can turn ice cream/sorbet into a shake or sundae. There are also a lot of tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy the treat while beating the summer heat. Packages pints to bring hope are available as well. I will be back. read more

After eating dinner, I was craving something sweet and never really explored this area before. I found this place on Yelp and it had some pretty good reviews and wanted to check it out. They have so many unique flavors, but I ordered an Oreo shake that was absolutely delicious and rich and creamy. The presentation of the shake was amazing and appreciate the lady that made it for me. The inside the area was nice and can sit to enjoy your ice cream. Overall, I'll be back to try the other flavors. read more

Came here on a Friday night after enjoying the Monrovia Street Fair, and this was the perfect way to end our night! I felt like the shop had read my mind because they had two of my favorite flavors: orange creamsicle and banana cream pie. What are the odds they have both of my favorites! The ice cream was super creamy, scoops were decently sized, and there were plenty of seats to enjoy your treat. The servers offered samples before placing your order. I'll definitely be back soon to check in on new flavors. read more
