I ordered the Large Agua Fresca Con Crema, and if you love strawberries and cream, this is a must-try! It's absolutely delicious. My girlfriend got the Banana Cajeta, it was good and refreshing! Perfect for a hot day. Both drinks hit the spot! The ambiance here is super fun and creates such a welcoming environment, with plenty of snack options to choose from! The service is always friendly and quick, making the experience even better.

So many delicious things to choose from! Why, oh why did I come here alone?? With no one else to split with (invading other tables to sample their orders is wrong, right?), I ordered a small mangonada. Small is NOT small here. It was huge and the perfect treat from running errands in the heat. The space is so darling: bright colors, lots of choices and suggestions, clean and friendly. Restroom for customers, which was needed after evidence of that mangonada were on my hands and face.

I love the food here. The ice cream mixed with the fruits is just delicious. Even the healthy smoothies that they have are very good.. The menu is kind of difficult to understand though, I wish it were more simple. And sometimes it's hard to understand the customer service that's the reason why I gave three stars instead of five.

This La Michoacana location is super clean and tidy. They also have a spot filled with candies and snacks you can purchase. The mangonada was excellent, and the ice cream consistency was soft and not overwhelming. We ordered the Sandia agua fresca, but we were given the Watermelon agua fresca instead. I would give a 5/5, but we were given the wrong order, so a 4/5 for this visit will do. Response to owner: Yes, we were trying to go for the orange/yellowish drink, which could be melon or cantaloupe flavor. That specific drink that we wanted was labeled Sandia.

Amazing everything! Agua frescas taste so fresh - not powdered. Elote is the est around. A lot of different flavors of ice cream - all taste homemade! The service is always fast and pleasant. I highly recommended!

This place has a lot of flavors of ice cream and huge selection. The place itself was very clean. Everytime I come here I always get their Mangonada. It has mango with chamoy sorbets, mango, chamoy, tajin and tamarind. It was so good and refreshing. Full of flavors sweet, savory, sour and spicy. Once I ate it, I couldn't stop! I also got the pistachio and passion fruit popsicles. They had water and milk base popsicles. This is a perfect place to get something refreshing for summertime!

I was lucky enough bump into this La Michoacana in the middle of Monrovia! After eating a heavy meal down the street I felt like I was missing something and I had to Yelp and look for something to cleanse my palate. I was that this icecream parlor had some pretty solid reviews so I had to give it a try (I'm glad I did!). They had a large selection of poletas (icecream bars) as well as icecream and sorbet. I wanted something sweet but light and the staff who served me recommended some of her sorberts. They had such a large selection, everything from blue cookie's and cream, to mango chamoy. I was craving something light, so I went with their limon flavored icecream and paired it with their mango chamoy. This was a perfect pair. You would have the sweet/tangy taste of the limon and a spicy/sour from the mango chamoy. I couldn't stop myself from eating. I was not disappointed when I saw how large the scoops were compared to the price. I would highly recommend coming here after a large and heavy meal. Picture this, having a nice meal and then stopping here for a few scoops of icecream or poletas and walking down Myrtle. Sounds like a perfect date to me.

The ice cream is good but if you order a raspado don't set any expectations the girl who helped me out is not friendly at all and this isn't the first time I've had the same experience with her she's unpleasant and you can tell she doesn't want to be there. I ordered a raspado and when I tell you it was all syrup it was nothing but syrup it the color was black. I threw it away. How can you mess up a raspado? Will never go back there. Disgusting.

Michoacanas have a special place in my heart. Honestly, besides Thrifty Ice cream, this is the next best thing - and the fact that it's down the street from my place, is even better (and slightly dangerous for my calorie intake lol)! I was first introduced to La Michoacana at a different location by my fiancè. I was so bummed to know that I didn't know what it was beforehand! They've got all the good paletas, ice cream, agua frescas, esquites (corn with mayo, cheese, etc), and Mexican snacks that you'd definitely want to be dabbling in. I visited them on their grand opening and was so happy to see how well they were prepared to open up in the middle of a pandemic. They had tons of acrylic protecting the guests and the employees, employees were masked up, and you can just tell they were just taking the COVID protection seriously, which I'm all about! I ordered a chocolate covered banana along with a watermelon agua fresca. It was so great, because even if they didn't have any on hand, the gentleman behind taking our order was kind enough to make us a fresh agua fresca. Their price points are extremely reasonable and I'm excited to have them in our neighborhood.

I was craving some Mexican treats and decided to come here. It's my 1st time here and the place is huge. There's a ton of ice cream bars, ice cream, sorbets and agua frescas. A ton of options and also they do the chips here too. I got a Mangonada and you can get 2 flavors. I chose limon and chamoy mango sorbets. It's then has chamoy, tajin, mango pieces and tamarind candies. I tried it and omg the sorbets are too sugary for me. I didn't really taste the lime or mango flavor. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted a tangy flavor but instead tasted just like sugar.

Decided to come by for dessert after eating next door. The place is spacious with some seating near the entrance. Towards the back is a corner of packaged candy and snacks. Some still in their original bulk packages. They have a wide selection of ice cream and paletas (popsicles). There were specific flavors such as snickers, Mexican hot chocolate, KitKat, and I saw an alcoholic one. A scoop of ice cream is 4.99$ and the pops I le is around 2$. The menu pricing was a bit cut off or blacked out on the end (see photos). There was only one staff helping us at the time. So we had to wait a bit but overall they have so much more than just candy and deserts. They have drinks, snacks, and sandwiches (jam only currently). Overall, it's just like any other michoacana stores. It was colorful, bright, clean, and has so much to select. The restroom was locked with a keypad but I didn't need to go so I didn't ask. read more

When I want a bionico I come here. It's always fresh and delicious. Service is great, too. They have some tables inside, but I always get mine to go. I got the small which was loaded with fresh fruit and cream. Delicious. read more

Wow!!! What a nice ice cream/creamery and so much more this lovely place has to offer. I was in the area yesterday mid afternoon and something told me to walk in and try their ice cream. Not only they have ice cream, but this place might as well be a mini restaurant/store since they have EVERYTHING!! I am not going to mention everything one by one, but I will tell you this: that the energy, staff, and my tres lecches ice cream that Kathy served me was soooooooo gooooood! She gave me one generous scoop and I quite enjoyed it. Colorful, festive, beautiful creamery with great, friendly service. I didn't know about this gem. I wish they had this place in Studio City where I live. Great Latin music gave a good vibe which I so loved & enjoyed listening to while I was sitting there and eating my DELICIOUS ICE CREAM. !! I will definitely visit this place when I happen to be in Monrovia. DEFINITELY!! I so want to try all the other goodies that they have. They also make sandwiches. 2 thumbs up!! Wow! If you love ice cream or popsicles, you'll need to come here. It took me forever to decide what I wanted to have. They had numerous flavors to choose from. The previous customers had Elote and ice cream. My husband had a strawberry popsicle dipped in chocolate with nuts. I chose to have a scoop of the Chocolate Abuelita ice cream. I enjoyed my ice cream, but I'll definitely be trying more flavors when I return. Then again, I might try a Bionico or Mangonada here. I can't even describe all the choices that they were offering. I believe that my pictures will speak for themselves. read more

This place was great until the employees started getting lazy. The last few times I've gone in there they apparently don't make açaí bowls when clearly it's shown on little card stock displays and now they don't make milkshakes all of a sudden?? It's never "sorry, we ran out" it's always "no, we don't make that" Extremely disappointed in this establishment. read more

Am i the only one? Every time i have gotten served their is always an employee with no gloves on! This time around the lady serving wiped her nose with her arm, instead of stepping aside or being discreet to even just washing her hands would of been polite right after. Their was only one person cutting fruit with gloves on but EVERYONE else serving or organizing the rest of the product/ filling in new popsicles like on my last visit weren't wearing gloves. SHOULDN'T that be your first instinct when serving a customer and handling food. Manager please please enforce this. I love this place and its product but this issue is gross and pure negligence. read more

So apparently they don't offer the full menu after a certain point. Husband came in at 8:40 and all they sell is ice cream. They need to put that on the website and menu. Went out of our way to go get food after our daughter's soccer practice for nothing. read more

I came here for an esquite and a fresa con crema agua fresca. I am so disappointed with both. The esquite was very watery, didn't have lemon or butter and had a thin layer of mayo and cheese. After a few bites I felt like I was eating corn straight out of a can. Definitely not worth $5.99. The fresa con crema agua fresca was very thick and needed more water. I will not be coming back and stick to the Alhambra location. read more

5:53 pm Friday 7/24/20 No line when I arrived but picked up and got busier right away. Three team members working hard to keep the counter restocking game strong. I asked for a triple per the menu with sandia, limon and coco con leche and had to explain what I meant by triple. It took some time to get the cup and then to repeat my flavors and then to repeat and point at the flavors. I did have a mask on and I did feel like I was yelling but there is music and acrylic dividers so who knows. Anyway, be patient and enjoy the delicious ice cream. read more

It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. We ordered the Sapporo Miso Ramen (Mild), Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, the Tonkatsu Omurice, and started with the Yakitori Platter. The ramen was excellent. They provide some card games if you wanna chat with friends! The spot has limited indoor seating as it's very tiny, but they also provide plastic chairs to sit outside in the parking lot. Most people sit outside on the chairs or bring it back to the car. I love that they provide free stickers, know your rights cards, and sell merch and Lactaid. I have yet to come to 626 ice cream during a community event like their Mahjong nights, but I know they collaborate with local orgs! Note that their prices are a little higher than regular soft serve spots, but I'm happy to support them as they pour back into their community. They definitely are worth the price with all the love that they put into their ice cream and their community.

I am updating my review cause I tried them two more times since and they've absolutely nailed the service and the food. Esquite is still my fave and they make it to perfection each time. I also tried their agua de Piña and picked up some paletas, which you can never go wrong with. The ladies who helped me were both friendly and attentive and made me want to come back.
