Good food variety, good flavor and awesome service. Lunch specials is always good for people of 2 or family. As 04/2026, lunch special is at $17 for 3 selection

Came in for their lunch special of 4 items for $22. It is quick and fast ordering. We enjoyed it.

Great place to get Chinese comfort food at a decent price. It's three dollars per person for unlimited pumpkin congee or rice, which is a great deal if you are hungry. They have a variety of different dishes. You can choose from such as eggplants, green beans, chicken thigh, bean cured or mustard green. Everything is salty, so it goes really well with the congee or rice. You order your food in the front first and then they bring it out to you if you are dining in they have special lunch seven days a week and service is great. They will refill your bowl as you eat, tea is also very good

I love taiwanese porridge! Ordered the jellyfish, braised pork belly, bamboo shoots, and dried tofu strips and they paired great with the porridge. The porridge is standard with yam. Very fresh and delicious! Would definitely come back.

We went to Lu's Garden for the first time for dinner. You order (both for takeout and dine-in) at the counter, where you can peruse the dishes cafeteria-style. We ordered three dishes (braised pork, squid, and stir fry spicy peppers) and got two servings of the porridge ($3 per person, but unlimited refills). The booths were comfy and service was attentive as they proactively offered us porridge refills. The dishes were all solid, especially the stir fry peppers which paired nicely with the porridge. We had enough leftovers for an additional meal at home. Many other dishes we didn't try looked well-cooked and tasty as well!

Porridge, bamboo shoots, bitter melon and House special green mustard.

Lu's Garden is comfort food for me. My favorite side dish has always been the bamboo shoots with pork, while my sister's favorite dish is the house special green mustard. The standout dish of the night was the bitter melon dish my mom ordered -- flavorful and perfectly cooked. Even the porridge was comforting and unique, with sweet potato bits mixed in that added a subtle sweetness and great texture.

We chose not to eat here as, to me, having to pay full adult price for my kids (ages 10 and 12, they are happa who won't eat most this stuff, despite my continued efforts) is money down the drain. WARMING LAMPS, NOT COOKED TO ORDER The food looks authentic enough. But it's all pre-cooked under warming lamps. Like Panda Express. The fried fish doesn't stay crisp long. right? PRICE - seems hefty that they expect customers to pay a premium set pre fixe price. It's not freshly cooked to order. Heat lamps keep some things ok, I suppose, but my husband said it most plainly: "This is just someone else's leftovers." - lunch prices make this a wee less expensive at $18-23 a person. That's still steep! Sure, it comes with free refillable rice porridge, but it's rice. Most Chinese places refill rice. It's not refillable gold bullions! - charging kids over age 7 full price does not work for us. I spoke with the counter staff in Chinese to understand the age definition. The staff stressed that we could not have some of our party on the pre fixed and the kids order à la carte. It was ALL must be in the set menu. This not-posted inflexible "kid price policy" killed our visit, so we left. Most restaurant kids meals target up to age 12. Show me an 8-year old who eats adult portions and set me right, please - I'll use it to show my kids with a heavy handed serving of Asian mom stress-guilt. Inspo them to eat more. For these prices, I can go to plenty of other prices in the vicinity, which is exactly what we did. Despite the heavy rain, we drove our big rowdy Taiwanese family party caravan to another restaurant. It was raining so heavily, I don't know who they think will be coming. Imagine how long that food is kept under the heat lamps. Was it from yesterday? Hmm LASTLY, WITH A HEAVY HEART: YELP WARNING: The tables had table tents that offered free food for yelp reviews. No wonder there are so many reviews from new users, some seemingly pasted from Google Translate. Beware of inflated ratings, my friends...

台灣小菜with 稀飯- yes please! And their 稀飯 has sweet potatoes in it. We love this place. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. Can I make this at home for much less? Yes. Can I make this much variety easily? Not really. Service is brusque and friendly. My inner New Yorker loves it. When you walk in, you order at the cafeteria-like counter, and if you are dining in, they will bring the foods you indicated to your table. I love their tomato egg, and whatever greens they have. Their huge slab of tofu is also fantastic, as is their grilled mackerel. This is a semi-regular place for us, can't wait to go back. Parking is in the lot, which can sometimes get a bit gnarly.

There was so much to choose from in this area--at least 30 to 40 restaurants within a one-block radius. Finding a place to eat wasn't the issue; choosing one was the real challenge. We finally settled on Lu's, and I'm glad we did. They had everything we were looking for, which was obvious the moment we walked in the door. Lu's is cafeteria-style: you pick what you want and they bring it to your table. Everything we chose was delicious, from the chicken to the pork, along with the wide variety of vegetables. I'm sure this is just a normal spot for people in the area, but for us, it's another place that beats what we have back in the Bay. BB

Mom enjoying the food

Good service , delicious and yummy food , with variety of selection, clean place , good parking

Just coming back to leave another five star review for my favorite place to eat. The people who work here are so nice and efficient. Everything is always super tasty and clean. The rice porridge with yams is nutritious and filling. Some of my S tier choices include: Chayote Bean curd skin Braised pork and egg Eggplant Green beans with chilis (perfect for a little kick mixed with the porridge) THE BABY SQUID!!!! I get the "sa yv". I think it's called belt fish? It's kind of pricey, but soooo salty and perfect. I love Lu's Garden so much.

Still delicious my lunch with friend!

Won't allow to change some food on banquet menu, just had to add another dish. Food came out fast & with big plates, hardly any space on table, waiter just left it on top of 2 serving trays. They didn't care that serving plates were still full. The beef loc lac was tough, deep fried fish sauce tasted weird with their sweet sour sauce, pea sprouts which I was trying to change to another dish but couldn't, sure enough was so fibrous & chewy. The special fried rice was so full of all different kinds of meat that it was like a meal in itself. With 10 different dishes it would have been better to serve plain white rice. Felt service could been better for 18% service already added on bill. Tea was even charged. Had to ask for menu at cashier & was told already at table, asked for waiter so we can order, had to ask for water, spoons & forks or to have some serving plates taken away to have more space at table. There were few waiters & feel that they were not attentive and restaurant was not even busy. Even parking lot was not full but there was courtesy valet parking & girl was insisting on parking the cars even though several cars was starting to line up. I would never recommend or return to this place again. Just disappointed that my guests did not enjoy the food as well.

And they have some chairs for people waiting. The wait wasn't too bad, around 25 minutes or so and they text you when the table is ready. They have a very nice interior design and not that many tables inside, but they do a good job of serving food fast so the wait times aren't bad despite the small space. There is a ipad at your table once seated so you can directly send your order to the kitchen instead waiting for the waiter. We got the Wagyu Beef Chinese Burger, Kurobuta Pork and Crab Meat Soup Dumplings, Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings, Stir Fried Noodles w Angus Beef, Dry Pot Cauliflower, and Sweet and Sour Kurobuta Pork Ribs. The waiters here were friendly and attentive, giving extra napkins and refilling our water cups often. The food was served in like ten minutes which is fast. I liked the Wagyu Chinese burger the most since the beef is stir fried very well and seasoned very flavorfully. It is just pricey for the size. The soup dumplings were all pretty good with good meat quality and dumpling skin. Each soup dumpling order only comes with 8 which isn't too bad for the price. The cauliflower and stir fried noodles were both pretty good too, very flavorful. The porb ribs were just average though and pricey for only 8 pieces that are not very big. The flakey beef rolls are also very good. Comes with four per order and the meat quality and skin was just perfect. Overall, this is a pretty good spot for soup dumplings and noodles, and I highly recommend the Wagyu Chinese burger. The portions are a bit small for the price but the food quality is good. I can see why there is always a line outside. Their service is also great and fast. I liked how they help pack your leftovers to-go for you. Will come back again!

It's honestly perfect for sharing with a few people. The set is very generous, with a well-balanced variety of dishes, and it felt like a great value overall. The food also came out super fast--shortly after we sat down, the dishes started arriving one after another, so there was barely any waiting. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy, from the tables and utensils to the overall dining space, which made the whole experience very comfortable. It's a great spot for family gatherings or a casual meal with friends. As someone from Beijing, being able to enjoy such a familiar Peking duck flavor here in the U.S. was actually a little touching. The aroma of the crispy duck skin and the satisfaction of wrapping everything in a thin pancake instantly brought back that feeling of home. Peking Duck The duck skin was glossy, crispy, and fragrant, while the meat was tender without being dry. Wrapped with thin pancakes, scallions, and sauce, it really tasted like the familiar Beijing flavor I miss. Fish Fillets with Scallion Oil The fish fillets were very tender, and the scallion oil aroma was especially rich. It tasted light and fresh without being greasy, and the sauce paired really well with rice. Black Pork Soup Dumplings Each bite released a burst of soup inside. The filling was savory and flavorful, and the wrapper was thin but held together well. They were delicious served hot. Pea Shoots with Garlic The pea shoots were cooked perfectly tender, with a clear garlic fragrance. They were refreshing and helped balance out the richness of the duck. Chrysanthemum Tea The tea was warm and smooth, and it paired so nicely with the Peking duck. It helped cut through the richness and made the meal feel even more comforting. Garlic Eel Strips The eel strips were very flavorful, with a strong garlic aroma and a smooth, tender texture. This dish is great for anyone who enjoys bold flavors. Rice Cakes and Vermicelli with Shrimp The shrimp tasted fresh, the rice cakes were soft and chewy, and the vermicelli soaked up all the flavorful sauce. It's the kind of dish that makes you keep reaching for more. Overall, this meal was super satisfying. The lunch special is really worth it--the portions are generous, the food comes out quickly, and the flavors are consistently good. Most importantly, it gave me that happy feeling of finding a taste of home while living abroad. If you love Peking duck or Northern Chinese flavors, this place is definitely worth checking out!

We originally were hoping for 7 or 7:30, but based on how busy and popular this place is I can see why they said no. Come early and get seated right away and there's still ample parking in their parking lot. By the time we left at 7:30p, the lot was packed and people circling around hoping to snag a spot from folks leaving. The restaurant is pretty large and has about 3 rooms with different size tables and booths. No matter the size of your party, there's a table that will accommodate. The staff were very nice and attentive and FAST! We had our food out probably 15 min after we put in our order! Now...on to the food. We ordered one of the set menus for our party of 7 and it was spot on! As you can see in the pictures we had all the "classics". Our set meal could easily be enjoyed by at least 10 people. My favorite items: lobster (duh!), kung pao chicken, pork chops, and shaking beef. The seafood soup is a great starter, and don't forget to add a little vinegar and pepper! Came at 530 pm on a tuesday, and there wasen't anyone here yet. Afterwards it filled up quickly!! The main thing I dont like about this place is they dont have the prices on what your ordering. Which I'll get too at the end. Like any other Chinese restaurant, their menu is super extensive. I love how they have a little bit of everything. And its very well organized too. We ordered the following: 1. Crab and fish maw soup- this soup was amazing. It was just the right temp. Got me sweating. Can easily feed 12 people. Great amount of maw. The consistency is just right. Tasted so good!! 2. Small lobster special- on a bed of noodles. It was about 5 lbs. Cooked well. Could do without. Basically flavors. And it was expensive!! About $30 a lb. So this one dish cost basically the same amount as all the other dishes. Which was just too much. If I knew it was that much I would definitely not have ordered it. 3. Walnut shrimp- not the best walnut shrimp I've had. But it was ok. 4. Garlic shrimp- this shrimp dish was ok. Too many bell peppers and onions. It was just ok. 5. Mongolian beef- flavors were not that great. Very tender though. Could've been better. 6. Sea trout- this was amazing!! I love the sauce. Fish was so soft and tender. The heat, the spice, the sweetness. Some of that sauce in white rice was just perfection. It was really really good. Best dish of what we ordered. 7. Kung pao chicken- this was a really good dish. Crispy bits of chicken. But so soft and tender inside. I love the sauce that it was in. It was by far one of the highlights of the meal. It was good food. Price for everything (except the lobster) was pretty good. Food tasted amazing for the most part. Typical Chinese customer service. Pay at the front. Massively large portions. Solid authentic Chinese food.
