Easy ordering experience, though it's counter service it's still nice. This is inside the fun Blossom Market, an enjoyable casual modern vibe, and I had the popcorn chicken, its marinaded with their in-house marinade. Recommended by many other Yelpers!

It was my first time here and I was impressed by the strawberry classic crepes that were not that sweet. I absolutely love it, and the Passion Fruit Lemonade was a bit sweet for me. The service was fine, the lady was helpful. It's located inside the Blossom Market Hall it's very cozy with a great art roof very colorful... Perfect for a group gathering or couple casual date. Recommended it..

Bae Sandwich

I recently enjoyed the "BAE Sandwich" at Cafe Et Cetera located within the great, Blossom Market Hall and it was a delightful experience. This tasty sandwich features crispy bacon, creamy avocado, and fluffy eggs on a lightly toasted bun. The true key to my experience, was the top-notch service. There was only one person working when I came in and I could tell I ordered during some of her crucial prep... but she held down my orders and others, all by herself, with big smile! Shoutout to her!

Strawberry cheesecake crepe; yum!

I adore their strawberry cheesecake crepe! It's delicious and so unique. I'm a sucker for cream cheese. Love coming here, it's always been good. The cashier was friendly, and it wasn't crowded when I came on a Friday afternoon. If possible, weekdays are the best time to visit to avoid crowds.

The food here is excellent! I would eat here every day especially for their breakfast burrito! We have tried everything on the menu and all their ingredients are of great quality. And the staff is so friendly. I highly recommend this business.

BEST chicken sandwich.

I cannot compliment this sandwich and the service enough! This is the BEST, most flavorful, most crispy chicken sandwich ever--and I don't even like chicken sandwiches! My wife bought one and forced me to try it and now I--I!--am the one who's going back for the sando. The fries and tater tots are perfectly seasoned and fried--crisp, light--and the service is friendly and attentive. Go get the sandwich!

CAFE ET CETERA is located inside BLOSSOM MARKET HALL. The line to order was short. The wait to get our food wasn't too long, The HOLY MOLY CHICKEN SANDWICH with TATER TOTS was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned and was surrounded by a fluffy bun. There are plenty of tables in the indoor eating area.

Very friendly staff that helped us with our order since it was our first time. We ordered Funky Monkey, wings ( sauces on the side) a green tea. Food was great. We came back later and ordered the garlic noodles. It was very tasty as well.

This was one of the last few restaurants open near closing time at blossom market so I gave it a try. Staff were super friendly and helped explain our order. I tried out these items. Jianbing - Think this maybe a limited item that might be taken off the menu in the future. It's the only savory crepe that they had and it was quite tasty. I got it extra spicy and it definitely had a kick. Had a soft outside with a crunchy interior from the fried wontons. Overall it was interesting and I liked it. (4.5/5) Funky Monkey - This crepe was a perfect balance of texture and flavors. It had a good amount of bananas and chocolate. Was interesting to see corn flakes on top but it added a nice crunch. Funny name as well. (5/5) Tater Tots - Super basic tots with ketchup but it came hot and crispy. Nothing special but they hit if you enjoy basic tots. (4/5) Overall I enjoyed the crepes that they had here. I wish they had more savory crepes than just the one but the sweet crepes all looked good. Price seemed reasonable at about $10-$12 dollars per crepe. I'd try out some of the other crepes forsure!

Jessica, the owner of the shop was very friendly and fast with our order. We ordered the strawberry Nutella crepe. It came out fast and the strawberries were really fresh and sweet. Blossom Market Hall is really spacious and clean with ample parking. We will come again.

cicLAvia event APR2024

We were participating in the cicLAvia bicycle event and the Blossom Market was swamped with hungry bikers and locals. We wanted breakfast so we ordered a breakfast burrito with no meat and their spiciest salsa. The burrito was a good size and we shared it. It included scrambled eggs, cheese, tater tots, but no onions were available to add on. It was cheesy and flavorful once we added the salsa.

BAE sandwich

Out of all the vendors in Blossom Market Hall, I decided to try this one. I did not have the crepes, so my review is only for the sandwich/burger. Prices increased again, so it is quite pricey now... It was about $20 just for one burger combo. ETC Burger: Beef patty was flavorful, sunny side up egg was cooked perfectly, and brioche bun was warm. The lettuce was a nice addition. This was yummy, although not amazing. BAE Sandwich: Stands for bacon, avocado, cheese. Scrambled eggs were good, cheese was plentiful, and avocado was fresh, but bacon was overcooked in my opinion. I would prefer the bacon to be not so burnt. Tater tots were nice and crispy. The salad was just a basic salad, not bad.

There is usually a wait, you'll need to put your name on the guest list upon arrival, however, be sure you guys look at the menu, because you'll be ordering as soon as you enter. Food comes out pretty fast so fasten your seat belt and get ready for a ride of flavor town! Cinnamon French toast - crunch like it sounds, delicious and really resembles the cereal as well as a churro texture Cowboy burger - what can I say, a burger from the west, big juicy patty, bacon and egg topped with their delicious sauce, perfectly paired. Boiled pork omelette - you'll need a big appetite for this one. Don't be fooled by its size, it's more food than one can probably eat alone. Big flavor, pork was seasoned well and bbq sauce was a nice touch in the eggs. Potatoes were also on point! House French toast - almost as good as the cinnamon French toast, it has the crunch, flavor and doesn't require any syrup, already sweet as it is! Chicken sandwich - juicy, tangy, not spicy for me (got a level 2 of 4, I think) but if you like flavor, it has it all. The mini spice kick and the mixture of the egg yolk that just fills your mouth with fun! Will surely come back. Their seating is limited so be sure to have that reservation guest list ready as soon as you arrive. The inside is big, yet with the amount of people who visits this place , no wonder it's hard to get a chair! Kudos !

The set up: you order up front, pay, take a number & find yourself a table & food will be delivered to you. Easy peasy! Hubby ordered the Classic Benedict & of course I ordered the star of the show- Ube French Toast (Ube condensed milk & coconut flakes on the side). Additionally, I ordered a side of grilled chicken. Alexis, the order taker brought our dishes separately & Hubby cannot wait so he dug right in before mine arrived. I know it's not intentional, but I noticed that bigger table (6 patrons) had arrived after we did and they received their food very shortly and all at the same time. Not digging that. In any case, my food finally came & the anticipation was tingly. It's the best part, the toasts were crispy crunchy on the outside & moist on the inside-- so good! Well balanced sweetness, I had control over how much ube condensed milk was poured- that's a plus. Hubby didn't like the muffin of his eggs Benedict because he said it was "tough & stale" but the potatoes & eggs were good. We finished off the French toast in a heartbeat. Background music was too loud for our taste (and ears) to enjoy brunch, the aesthetics were on point. Parking is very tricky, so glad we found one a block away (free city parking structure). It's worth returning for the one French toast.

Today was definitely the perfect day. Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit. But this one deserves a bit more detail for the 3 stars. We came here at my husband's cravings for eggs Benedict for his birthday brunch. It was a Saturday around 1PM. There were crowds, but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. I will say they seemed well staffed, which made service feel prompt and welcomed. Everyone in the team appeared friendly. The person who made our lattes also made an effort to clarify our order (lattes with Oatmilk with cream foam - which u know can be confusing. I'm giving up whole milk for the fats and lactose, but a little bit of cream won't hurt). We chose Mari Vees over other nearby spots mainly because of the style and ambiance, which truly delivered... beautiful, modern, and inviting on Yelp. We ordered the iced Spanish latte, iced matcha latte, classic eggs Benedict, and chilaquiles with beef. As soon as the plates landed on our table, before we even had a chance to taste anything, a well-dressed gentleman (who seemed more senior than the rest of the staff) came over and asked how everything was. We felt compelled to give the automatic "everything is good." To be fair, the flavors did hit the spot. The lattes were yummy (and shoutout to the cute aesthetics), the chilaquiles were perfectly savory, and the sauce on the eggs Benedict was rich and creamy. However, the reason this lands at 3 stars is the eggs Benedict itself. The poached eggs were overcooked. Poached eggs should be runny and creamy, not firm. We brought this up to our server, Jeremiah, but he responded that it was "poached hard." I was confused... was that intentional? I checked the menu again (good thing I take pictures), and it simply says "poached eggs." Later, when we were paying, the same gentleman returned, who I inquired and learned goes by the name, Victor. This time, he didn't ask about our experience, but I knew I had to say something. I shared praise along with a lighthearted and humorous question about the overcooked eggs. He admitted they should be runny and said "we should have told them"... BUT WE DID! I debated addressing it in person versus sharing here on Yelp. Unfortunately, it felt like the team wasn't equipped to properly handle feedback. Instead of acknowledging the issue, we felt dismissed and gaslighted. I still gave a 18% tip (our total was $60+) , slight lower than our usual 20%... but I know everyone works hard in there. Overall, it had the potential to be a great experience, but the mishap left a sour note and pretty much ruined our afternoon. Not sure we'll be back.
