Not the best pic, I know. But this is the tasty broccoli, cheese, and ham (I substituted ham for bacon) omelette.

Let's get started... if you love a classic diner, then Bun N Burger is going to be perfect for you. The food is tasty (the salsa is killer), the service is friendly, and the ambiance is old school diner vibes. They also have the best prices you'll find most anywhere in All of SoCal--ribeye steak and eggs only $10.99?? You cannot beat that. My omelet was $9.99. They have a parking lot, and it's cash only. Check this place out, and I think you'll be glad you did.

This spot has an antique shop vibe, and it's actually interesting to browse around the restaurant. We'd read some reviews about unfriendly service, but we didn't have that issue with our server. In fact, we thought the staff were pretty friendly overall

The chorizo and eggs are good, and the service is great. When I'm here I really feel taken care of. I just have to remember to bring cash...

When you want a diner vibe, this is the place to go. Great service, good food, an ambiance that is hard to find nowadays. It is a Cash Only place so keep that in mind. So far we've had the chilaquiles with steak and eggs, thr club sandwich, pancake combo and a French toast combo. All great! Coffee is just right, doesn't disappoint. Definitely be returning for those weekend mornings!

CASH ONLY. We stopped in for our first time as a party of two this past weekend and even though it wasn't that crowded and we just ordered an omelette and pancakes & eggs we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive! Literally OVER an hour! Also, the menu is very small and as mentioned it is cash only. Our server was very polite and very nice just everything took forever. Not the sort of place you would want to go to if you are in a rush based on comments from other diners around us. I do like the inside interior, it has a bunch of Americana strewn over the walls and makes it feel like a local country diner. They also have a parking lot in back so is fairly easy to find a space or you can also just do free street parking. Even though the service was extremely slow and it is cash only it is very fairly priced and the food quality is very good. Everything that we ordered came out great it just took forever to come out. For my first visit I chose the Special Omelette and really enjoyed the marinated steak and the guacamole on top. It was a great sized portion and I honestly really liked the everything about it. If it weren't for the service delays, I would've definitely given a four or possibly even five out of five. I may try again in the future if I'm in the area, but certainly not if I'm in a rush.

My first time to this corner diner! Ordered the Burger Fries Soda Combo we enjoyed it! burger was tasty lived cold lettuce tomatoe onions pickles. The fries were perfect. Also ordered chile verde plate with rice and beans we chose flour tortillas. I want to go back and try more or take to go! The walls have old photos and antique memorabilia.

Came back for Chile Verde, very good. Rice and beans good too. Server gave us the bait n switch. My sister ordered burger special posted in the window, says "No refills on soda" so we knew that already. I asked if refills on regular soda, she said yes, just not on special. When I asked for soda refill, she grabbed check, said has to add another $2.95. I reminded her she said refills on regular soda, just not on special, my sister said she heard same thing. Old lady server says, no refills on any sodas. Cancel that refill then, crazy old lady.

One of my favorite small businesses in Alhambra! Service: Amazing! Sometimes they get really busy and they're scattered, but that's great for them to keep the business going. They're always super nice and helpful. Price: Super affordable prices that don't break the bank. They could charge much more if they wanted to since some of the portions are pretty big. Food: Always hits for me. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered. Especially the chilaquiles with steak and eggs, and I sub the potatoes for their amaaaaazing crunchy waffle fries! Their burgers are also big for a reasonable price. Sometimes it may take a lil while for the food to come out but it's worth the wait! Support your local small businesses! It matters!

Another great visit here! Vanessa the waitress is always smiling, friendly and very attentive. Decided to have the pork chop breakfast this time and it was great. Price and service here is top notch! Ask for Vanessa, you will not be disappointed!

There's not many classic American diner left that are family owned like this one. They have an old school style with antiques laid out on the wall. The staff is lovely and sweet. The menu prices are unbeatable, given everywhere else. Highly recommend if you want some classic American brunch. It's not fancy here but you'll definitely get the best bang for your buck and appreciate some history. It's not like wow super good but it really hits the spot if you want some brunch, chili cheese fries, or milkshake. This place is cash only with no ATM and parking in the rear or street.

We decided to stop and have breakfast before heading to appointments and we landed at this old fashion traditional cafe. We were sat on the booth and as I was glancing around, I saw this picture of "1910 Citrus and Badillo St. Covina" The menu picture was so familiar to us but no relation to one of the restaurant in Covina. Our server Alicia was so nice and attentive. The food was cooked to our liking and because of the high prices of eggs, she did say $1.00 extra charge for our breakfast since it does have eggs on our order... no problem. The price was so reasonable and yes, we are coming back.

    JUNK!!

Junk all over the place inside. Server, older lady, not friendly. They need to throw out all that junky memorabilia and or leave it in the garage. Food is delicious though...Idk... your choice. I have included a few pics- decide for yourself.

CASH ONLY…read more Definitely one of those hole in wall spots you need to support. Not sure why I was expecting to speak Chinese to order but surprisingly staff taking our order spoke perfect English with no accent. They were quite welcoming and patient while we looked through the entire menu before ordering to-go. Hot Sweet Soybean Milk - good warm temperature and comforting but not the best I've had. Tasted quite watered down. Convenient to grab if you're already here for food. Hot Sweet Soybean Tofu -really good and easy to eat. I personally like the peanuts in it, peanuts soaked up the sweet ginger syrup. Tofu is silky. They do ask if peanuts are ok when you order, you can definitely opt out if you don't like texture in your sweet tofu. Bake Sesame Bread with Beef (added pickles)- really good, sesame bread is more of a flaky pastry rather than a fluffy bun. Expect tons of crumbs but really good. Beef is tender and not dry at all. Pickles added a ton of texture another depth; sweet, salty, bit of tang. Fan Tuan always good, I usually opt to add both eggs and pickles. But if I'm not feeling too hungry I could go without egg. Green Onion Pastry -pastry is flaky and buttery. Filling was a bit saltier than I expected but good. Ham& Radish Pastry - pastry was also flaky and buttery. Filling wasn't my favorite, radish was quite tough and fibrous. Sweet Baked Sesame Pastry -perfect for kids, filling is just sugar and some sort of flour they mix with it. Surprisingly not too sweet.

*** Still cash only ***…read more It is crazy that Huge Tree Pastry continues to be one of the very few options for Taiwanese breakfast in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area other than Yi Mei and Yung Ho Cafe. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking on a Sunday morning. [Ordering]: Most customers come here for takeout despite this restaurant having dine-in tables. Our party ordered takeout in person and waited approximately 15 minutes. The lady cashier (owner?) was a bit intense but efficient. She spoke both fluent English and Mandarin. [Menu]: Stick with Yelp's top highlighted items - Salty Fan Tuan (Stuffed Sticky Rice Roll), Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake, Sweet Soybean Milk, and Radish Cake. For Salty Fan Tuan, I highly recommend maxing out all add-ons including paying extra for purple rice, egg, and pickles (Taiwanese pickled mustard greens). The same goes for pan-fried green onion pancake and adding egg. For an authentic Taiwanese breakfast experience, order Taiwanese donut (you tiao) and baked sesame bread, but expect a somewhat boring flavor profile if you decide to order either Taiwanese donut (you tiao) or baked sesame bread. *** Hot Sweet Soybean Milk (16 oz small - $2.95): Somehow the drink tasted more like unsweetened soybean milk. It was piping hot so our party had to wait 30+ minutes before drinking it. Salty Fan Tuan ($5.50 + Purple Rice $0.45 + Add Eggs & Pickles aka Taiwanese pickled mustard greens $2.00): Excellent salty fan tuan and very satisfying. Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake ($5.50 + Add Eggs $2): A savory pancake and I enjoyed this order. Ham & radish pastry ($2.25): It was cold and tasted alright - not an item I would recommend. *** Still a solid 3.5-star on food after more than a decade since my last review. It is no famous Fuhang Soy Milk from Taipei, but this is the next best experience you will get for Taiwanese breakfast given the limited Taiwanese breakfast options in Southern California.

Both looked so cute and tasted good but I preferred their cafe latte. My aunt ordered their American Breakfast and I ordered their Good Morning Omelette (basically build your own omelette). Their dishes were really good, especially their home fries. My aunts eggs and bacon came out perfect. My omelette tasted really fresh with lots of fresh veggies, like spinach, mushrooms, and ham. The only hiccup that we had was that the food took almost an hour to come out. I think they had an issue with the ticket, and didn't get put in so it came out way later. I been here 3x this month alone & I've sat at the bar on all three occasions. 1st. We were recommended french fries with our espresso martinis which hello why say no but I kid you not our food was sitting on the counter (where the food comes out) for more than 15 minutes before our server at the bar gave it to us. I had to ask them (they were talking to 3 different servers the entire time) to grab them for us lol thankfully, it was just french fries. And mind you, the fries were the only thing out so obviously they were ours. It was not busy. 2nd time I went it took extremely long for someone to come and take our order mind you there was like two people at the bar, including myself and a friend and about 3 to 4 servers behind the bar, talking to a customer and their dog, touching the dog petting the dog (gross) and overall distracted we called them over like 3 times and I swear we were being ignored! Took them over 10mins just to get us water not even counting the drinks we asked for! 3rd time I went, I know you're probably thinking why do you keep going back if their service is so bad but I'm not kidding when I said I used to love this spot. Any who I ordered food and saw with my own two eyes the food runner, wipe her sweat fix her hair and touch the food not wash her hands and not run a single thing...It was as though she was just hired to stare at the food... lol we sent it back and asked them to remove it from our bill which they did. Each and every time I go these days the service staff look like they can't be bothered and are always talking amongst themselves, which is fine but at least take my order and not make me wait 20+ minutes for some water and drinks while you're getting your chat on with people you see every day... I feel so bad saying this, but they should definitely reevaluate their protocols because the ambience this whole thing gave off was not good. I was embarrassed to say the least when my friend said he hated the recommendation. Ugh .
