We met for a late breakfast/early lunch on Sunday. It was so nice to see our friends at the Grill. I ordered my signature breaky 2 eggs, hash browns and hot cakes. We alsi ordered the French toast breaky and a grilled chicken sandwich. Service was 10/10 as it always is. Parking is a pain because it's a busy space. The vibe is always it because they are so awesome.

Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99) - "One of the best!!"
    Ian A.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99). It's heavenly. It's one of the best in the SGV (or possibly all of Southern California). It's thick, yet it's juicy. The crust is thin but crackly. The ingredients screamed fresh! I LOVE Alamansor Grill (Alhambra)!!! I arrived at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) on Friday (around 9:17AM). Parking is spacious. Its parking is shared with the golf course. Customers can order at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) even if they're not playing golf. When I entered, Staff quickly welcomed me. Staff let me choose my own seat (inside or outside patio overlooking the golf range). I sat outside underneath an umbrella, and a friendly waitress eventually greeted me. Staff (receipt says Denise) is professional and friendly. Staff quickly answered my questions, and Staff worked hard. My food arrived in seven minutes and 36 seconds. As mentioned, I adored my Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.99). I selected my eggs to be scrambled. And I chose hash browns for the potatoes. It all had immaculate textures and flavors. The hash browns had an uncommon crisp crackle; the eggs tasted fresh & soft; the gravy is well-seasoned and light; and the chicken fried steak is hearty and huge! I felt taken aback by this Chicken Fried Steak's magnificence. This is my most requested breakfast dish at any breakfast diner... and out of many, many different breakfast spots, I'm humbled that the best one came from a restaurant at a f***ing golf course! I left Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) with a full stomach and a dumb smile. Regarding ambiance, Alamansor Grill (Alhambra) is clean and welcoming. There's an outside patio with a fresh airy breeze; the golfers are nearby, and customers can observe them playing. However, the only music is radio with commercials. The interior also has clean tables; there's also two large flat screen TVs showing the news or sports. Overall, I had a magical, delicious experience at Alamansor Grill (Alhambra). The food is affordable, filling, and cooked passionately. The chefs are very talented! If you love Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, this is a must-try! I am so happy!! 5 out of 5!! GO!!

Came for breakfast and decided to sit outside because the view is so nice! Lovely place for outside seating as you get to see people golf and lots of birds. We got the menudo, huevos ranchuro, and waffles and they were all good! I like how they dont skimp out on meat in the menudo. Our server was also really nice and attentive and checked up on us often. Would definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants. I love their food, service and ambiance, everyone is really nice here and prices are average. We come at least twice a month, at least

We tried this place on a whim and it was pretty good! The service was very attentive and fast. Nice ambience with a view of the golf course and the prices were decent too. Our food was hot and fresh and I appreciate that my omelette was nice and stuffed! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. :)

I met some friends for breakfast here the other day. It's a nice little restaurant located at a golf course. I ordered the Chilaquiles Plate with red sauce, as the server mentioned that the red sauce was spicier than the green sauce. OMG!! It was super spicy! A friend of mine ordered the Chilaquiles Plate with green sauce, and she was literally sweating. Poor thing! So, if you like it super spicy, go for the red sauce! Another friend ordered the BLT, and she said it was really good. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was great. I will definitely go back again!

First time visiting, located next to the almansor golf course. Friendly service, affordable food with indoor & outdoor seating. The food came out quickly. My friend enjoyed the Chilaquiles Plate & I enjoyed the Build Your Own Burger with salad. Great place to eat, especially if you're playing golf & need a break!

Came for their Sunday Brunch buffet! It's good to make a reservation, but I found that the day I went there were still a good amount of empty tables, so probably also fine to walk in. As advertised, there's unlimited crab legs, prime ribs, and many more like cod, chicken, etc. There were 3 made to order stations - omelette, waffle, and pasta. One side was also very Mexican style focused, with menudo, chilaquiles, and beef fajitas. The interior is also very nice and well lit, with a great view of their golf course. I would recommend coming to Almansor's Sunday brunch for large family get togethers!

My first time trying Almansor Grill food. The clam chowder was so good and the Asian Salad was delicious. I need to try the other plates The service was wonderful very welcoming and friendly. I got to talk to Dolores and she was so sweet and explained some of the plates from the menu. The ambiance is peaceful you can have a nice lunch and chat or have a drink while seeing the nature outdoors. You can also sit outside. I would come back to tru the breakfast. Recommended it.

I haven't eaten here in ages, but had the pleasure of dining in on Easter Sunday morning and feasted on an omelette, hash browns, and some delicious French toasts! IMHO, this is one of the most affordable places to have brunch, and I miss being able to come here on weekends to enjoy a nice breakfast overlooking the golf course and Almansor Park.

Comfort food at a reasonable price. We came in on a Sunday after church with a party of 7. Service was quick and efficient. Food was good-no nonsense. We ordered hamburger with onion rings, chicken sandwich with fries, Rueben sandwich with fruit, nachos, 2 omelettes (one with bacon and sausage, the other one with mushrooms and onions) and a breakfast burrito. Prices for all entrees were around $10-$11. No complaints except that the Rueben was a bit salty.

This country fried steak craving has been bugging me for weeks now. Sister suggested this place. So I ordered the country fried steak with two over hard eggs which came with hash browns. Mom chose 3 items from the build your own breakfast- two eggs, country potatoes and pancakes. Sister ordered from the sides section- french toast, 3 bacon, and onion rings. Son got the tuna melt that came with a choice of side, he opted for onion rings. Then we also ordered biscuits and gravy. Our server Denise was nice and attentive. Inside was a little warm but it had a nice view of the golf course. Restrooms are outside but clean. Parking is somewhat difficult as it is shared for the golf course and other businesses close-by.

I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

There is usually a wait, you'll need to put your name on the guest list upon arrival, however, be sure you guys look at the menu, because you'll be ordering as soon as you enter. Food comes out pretty fast so fasten your seat belt and get ready for a ride of flavor town! Cinnamon French toast - crunch like it sounds, delicious and really resembles the cereal as well as a churro texture Cowboy burger - what can I say, a burger from the west, big juicy patty, bacon and egg topped with their delicious sauce, perfectly paired. Boiled pork omelette - you'll need a big appetite for this one. Don't be fooled by its size, it's more food than one can probably eat alone. Big flavor, pork was seasoned well and bbq sauce was a nice touch in the eggs. Potatoes were also on point! House French toast - almost as good as the cinnamon French toast, it has the crunch, flavor and doesn't require any syrup, already sweet as it is! Chicken sandwich - juicy, tangy, not spicy for me (got a level 2 of 4, I think) but if you like flavor, it has it all. The mini spice kick and the mixture of the egg yolk that just fills your mouth with fun! Will surely come back. Their seating is limited so be sure to have that reservation guest list ready as soon as you arrive. The inside is big, yet with the amount of people who visits this place , no wonder it's hard to get a chair! Kudos !

The set up: you order up front, pay, take a number & find yourself a table & food will be delivered to you. Easy peasy! Hubby ordered the Classic Benedict & of course I ordered the star of the show- Ube French Toast (Ube condensed milk & coconut flakes on the side). Additionally, I ordered a side of grilled chicken. Alexis, the order taker brought our dishes separately & Hubby cannot wait so he dug right in before mine arrived. I know it's not intentional, but I noticed that bigger table (6 patrons) had arrived after we did and they received their food very shortly and all at the same time. Not digging that. In any case, my food finally came & the anticipation was tingly. It's the best part, the toasts were crispy crunchy on the outside & moist on the inside-- so good! Well balanced sweetness, I had control over how much ube condensed milk was poured- that's a plus. Hubby didn't like the muffin of his eggs Benedict because he said it was "tough & stale" but the potatoes & eggs were good. We finished off the French toast in a heartbeat. Background music was too loud for our taste (and ears) to enjoy brunch, the aesthetics were on point. Parking is very tricky, so glad we found one a block away (free city parking structure). It's worth returning for the one French toast.

My wife, mother-in-law, and I went to Moffett's for the "Family Meal" deal; we sat down, I quickly ordered a coke, and we place our order for the "Family Meal" deal. I was then told by our waitress that the "family meal" is for take-out orders only and not for indoor dining... Not good - the sign does not mention anything about take-out only, or take-out period, just "Family Meal." So, seriously disappointed, I paid for my coke, $6.57... yes, $6.57 for a single Coke and that was it... we proceeded to leave, but not until I mentioned the inconvenience the sign caused for a lack of clear and or detailed (explicit) information. BTW - the same sign that is posted inside is the same as posted outside on the window -- both do not indicate that the "Family Meal" is for take-out only. After pointing out the inconvenience to the supervisor about our travelling to Moffett's for the "Family Meal" and not being able to dine in, he called the owner. Apparently, the owner said we could eat-in, but we'd have to eat out of takeout boxes... not happy with that either and not happy for the lack of real courtesy and understanding, we decided simply to leave and go eat somewhere else. Unfortunately for Moffett's, that turned out to be a lost sale for their business and a loss of a tip to the waitress. OK, I used to like Moffett's a lot, going back some 20 years; however, over the last few years, since Covid, I've only been back just a few times. I think with pricings, Moffett's best days are now part of the past., as with many once great places in the SGV that are now long gone. Lack of customers and high prices, not a good sign and hard to recover from... it's not going to help bring in customers. I honestly like Moffett's and would hope they find a way to make it; make it more affordable, including offering dine-in 'Family Meal' deals, and do a better job at offering genuine hospitality and being thankful when customers arrive; being more accommodating, considerate, grateful, and excited to have diners who want to dine in... it is not too late change the policy. And BTW -- $6.57 for a small Coke at Moffett's is outrageous - the same Coke we ended up getting later were $3.50 each... however, I paid the $6.57 for the Coke, and at the very least, that was all Moffett's got from this disappointed customer... also, it is prices like this that are driving customers away. Anyway, I truly wanted to enjoy my time with my family at Moffett's but because of a missed opportunity to enjoy a family meal together at Moffett's, it didn't happen. Maybe I'll be back again some other day; hopefully then the experience will be far better... let's hope so.
