5/5 - Perfect Spot for Beef Noodle Soup This place absolutely nails it! The beef noodle soup is hands down one of the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful without being too salty or oily. Noodles were cooked to that perfect balance of soft and bouncy--exactly how they should be. And the beef? Melt-in-your-mouth tender. I've had my fair share of noodle soups, and this one truly stands out. You can tell there's care in the preparation, and everything comes together in a way that just hits the spot. 10/10, would come back again and again.

Always delicious here! Great service, friendly staff, and consistently tasty food. A go-to spot every time--highly recommend!

A hole-in-the-wall, esoteric shop in the midst of an unassuming Arcadia plaza (the infamous "Yogurtland plaza"). Although not the first place you would think to go to for a fancy sit-down meal, the quality of the food and friendliness of the service more than makes up for the modest ambience. My favorite dish of the night was the fried porkchop rice, which had the flavor, texture (still very crispy!) and depth of umami comparable to anything I had in Taiwan. Overall, would recommend a visit to this place when nearby in Arcadia for some real Asian comfort food.

I recommend... everything They accept credit card (minimum $20?) Frozen dumpling was cash only (for my order).

Tomato noodles

I wish I found this place sooner, it's so yummy! We ordered tomato noodles and beef noodle soup and both were amazing! Both dishes are full of flavor and had the most perfectly cooked noodles. The portions are generous and the meat is so juicy and tender. My husband and I will definitely be back :)

I really like their beef shank/slices. My children who are vegetarians really like their vegetarian bentos. I don't really know where else to get lu wei so this spot is it for me!

Call ahead to order but don't be discouraged if they don't pick up. There's usually only one person running the front and she's extremely busy! Even ordering at the store, the wait for your food usually takes about 15 minutes. I recommend calling before the 11:30 lunch rush!! I really like their special lunch boxes! The smoked chicken comes in a generous portion, I usually can split it for two meals. Their beef shank is also very tasty and comes with a yummy savory sauce. I also really like their sesame chicken thin noodles - so good on cold winter days!! They also have cold side dishes available in a fridge right by the door and frozen dumplings which are really good if you're too lazy to go out and get food. Just boil in hot water and enjoy!!!

I feel so lucky to live around the 626 area, there are so many delicious Taiwanese restaurants and Cozy Cafe is definitely one of them. It been 10 years since I visited Cozy Cafe. Restaurant is now under new owner but the dishes are still very Taiwanese and the flavors are much better now! During COVID, many restaurant needs to raise the price to survive, but Cozy Cafe kept the same affordable pricing while the portion is still the same! Once you enter the store, you will see the refrigerator with over 30 side dishes, its hard to try them all at once... Its hard to find a Taiwanese Restaurant that sells so many kind of the side dishes. They are all made fresh everyday in a very limited amount, if you wan to get them, make sure you call to reserve before they sold out at noon! I ordered Unagi Bento Box, Pork Chop Bento Box, Smoked Duck, Simmered Pork Shank, Fried Roll. Don't need to mention how delicious the unagi & pork chop is! The side dishes that comes with the bento, minced pork & vegetable is so good to go with the rice! DO NOT MISS the Smoked Duck & Simmered Pork Shank, its super popular & YUMYUM!!! - Fried Roll - Smoked Duck - Unagi Bento Box - Pork Chop Bento Box - Simmered Pork Shank

This is my go-to place if I ever crave actual authentic Taiwanese comfort food. Although the restaurant closed its secondary location in Rowland Heights and had a rumored change of ownership right before COVID, this flagship location is still here to stay. The original founder Linda used to work at Wan Chun Taiwanese Food before opening Sinbala. [Parking]: The parking lot can be packed during busy hours, but I had no issue finding an available spot on Sunday at 5:30 PM. [Atmosphere]: Casual dine-in setup and you are not exactly coming here to vibe but rather to enjoy good Taiwanese comfort food. [Menu]: The signature dish to order here for 1st timer is definition #1 Sausage Rice as their Taiwanese sausage is their claim to fame item. While Yelp's top highlighted items include #36 Popcorn Chicken and #2 Fried Pork Chop (all solid picks), I am a sucker on their noodle bowls such as #24 Beef Noodle Soup and #18 Pork Stew Noodle Soup. The general rule of thumb is any dishes with pictures on the menu = featured items. *** #25 Steamed mini pork bun (aka XLB prep takes 15 minutes - 10 pieces for $16.29): The XLB here had thick skin and was not super juicy, but it had an excellent flavor profile. #1 Sinbala Sausage Rice ($15.38): This remains the classic dish to order and is still one of the best Taiwanese sausages in LA and Orange County. #18 Pork Stew Noodle Soup ($15.38): If a restaurant sells any stew noodle soups, then you know that's a legit Taiwanese restaurant. The flavor profile really hit the spot and reminded me of the same stew noodle soup I had from Taiwan street vendors. *** This still remains one of my top Taiwanese restaurants in Southern California as there are fewer and fewer legit Taiwanese restaurants in Los Angeles / Orange County now.

SinBala - Arcadia…read more SinBala is one of the rare Taiwanese restaurants that has stood the test of time. I grew up eating here. There used to be several locations across Southern California, and I'm glad the Arcadia location is still here. Every visit brings back memories. I come for the Taiwanese classics that are becoming harder to find. The popcorn chicken is still one of my favorites--crispy, fragrant, and seasoned the way Taiwanese street vendors do it. The Taiwanese meatball soup is comforting, and the Taiwanese sausage always reminds me of night markets back home. What I appreciate most is that SinBala doesn't just serve street food. It brings those familiar flavors into a warm, home-style setting. It's nostalgic without trying too hard. Before you leave, save room for dessert. Their shaved ice is a must. I always recommend the brown sugar shaved ice topped with five mochi or boba. It's refreshing, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to a meal. Taiwanese food is often overshadowed by other regional Chinese cuisines, but places like SinBala remind me how unique it really is. Simple, comforting, and full of character. I'm grateful this little piece of Taiwan is still here.

It is seriously so good! We ordered one medium spicy and one extra spicy, and both were amazing. I personally think this place has some of the best beef noodle soup. The broth is packed with flavor, the aroma is amazing, and it's just one of those meals that always hits the spot! We also got the beef fried rice, and honestly, I'm not usually a big fried rice person, but something about the way they make it here always makes me want to order it! It's cooked really well, has so much flavor, and smells amazing. I don't know what they do differently, but their fried rice is definitely one of my favorites! We also decided to get the beef roll, which was just okay. Personally, I think it's a little on the dry side, and it's never really been my favorite dish here. I've definitely had better beef rolls at other places, so this is something I would probably skip next time. I just don't think it's one of their stronger dishes, especially compared to how good everything else is. Overall, Ding's Garden is always a great place to come back to when we're craving some good comfort food. Their braised beef noodle soup and beef fried rice are definitely top-tier in my opinion! Those two dishes are what keep bringing us back. If you're coming here for the first time, I would definitely recommend trying both!
