It was not busy at all on a saturday evening so there were a lot of tables open. I tried their wife special noodle and it was so comforting and delicious! It reminded me of beef tomato noodles but without the soup. The noodles were perfectly bouncy and chewy. Everything is affordable and fairly priced and generous portions. They have a parking lot in the back. Definitely one of my go to spots in sgv when im craving Chinese noodles.

I got their green onion pancake, house special fried noodle, and wife noodles to try. The pancake was not oily, thin, and had good green oniony flaves. The fried noodles had some velveted pork slices, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and onions with some knife cut wide soy savory Noods. It was a bit on the oily end tho. My fave was definitely their iconic wife noodles that had perfect qq round noodles topped with some thin cucumbers, savory zha Jiang sauce, melt in your mouth beef, and yummy tomato eggs. MNM. Overall this place was lowkey pretty good. Green onion pancake $8.99 Fried noodles $17.50 Wife noodles $18

Thick+chewy noodles with a savory+spicy sauce, I'm in! Menya Hanabi's noodles just bounced itself…read moreinto the top of noodle list for the best dry noodle/brothless noodle dish I've ever had. I met a friend here for dinner and had a great dine-in experience. We both ordered their "Original Nagoya Mazesoba" $15.29 and got their Karaage $8.99 to share. It was my first time here and I figured the famous original dish is always good. The noodles are thick, and all of the strands had their own little bounce to them, just the way I like it! It arrives unmixed so I also enjoyed vigorously mixing it myself and seeing it all come together. I especially enjoyed popping the poached egg on top and seeing the egg oooozing, paired with the minced pork, green onions, chives, dish powder, seaweed, and garlic. They have really perfected the recipe here to make the perfect dry noodle dish! If you dine in, the servers will also bring you a scoop of rice. I didn't really understand it at first as to why, but I later finished my noodles and thought "oooohhhhhh!" FYI the rice is used to pick up the rest of the delicious sauce left on the bottom of your bowl and it makes for an extra carb-filled surprise. The perfect way to end a noodle dish by the way, with rice for more carbs, duh! My only feedback, and I was indeed warned by my friend, is that the noodles make you a little thirsty. My friend told me she thinks its their fish powder seasoning that somehow makes you just feel like you need to chug a glass of water, so just make sure to bring a little extra water with you, haha! Also, fair warning here since you made it this far to reading this long review. The seats were very loud to move around in the dining area, and we can just about hear every squeak the metal chair made when anyone moved their seat, too! Other than those things, the noodles are a life I've already been raving about Menya Hanabi to my friends and will definitely come back!

Ambiance is nice with shades drawn over the windows and strong AC. There's bar and table seating. I got the deluxe mazesoba ($18) which comes with charsiu, minced pork, poached egg, and green onions. There's a good amount of chewy thick noodles underneath. Very flavorful- so much so that I recommend adding vinegar to lessen the greasy taste. Upon request, you can get a free scoop of rice to mix into the leftover sauce. I remember they used to give a full bowl but now it's just a scoop.

Saw the red bold letters driving by on Duarte Rd and immediately made plans to come here for Xi'an…read morefood! We don't usually see specific Xi'an food around all the time, so my fiancé and I were excited to come back. Now we know, Xi'an Foodie has delicious, authentic Xi'an food here at affordable prices as well. We go all out when we are trying somewhere new for the first time usually, so we got 5 dishes for less than $75 including tax and tip. We ordered the 1) Smashed Cucumber Salad 黄瓜, 2) Sesame Sauce Cold Spicy Noodle 凉拌辣面, 3) Li Lao San's Lamb Stew with Flatbread / 李老三牛肉泡馍, 4) Li Lao San's Cumin Lamb Hamburger / 李老三孜然羊汉堡, and 5) Youpo Noodles with Braised Beef Brisket, Beef Paste & Fried Eggs with Tomato / 油泼+三合一. First, they have the best Cold Noodle (Liang Pi) in SoCal that I've had - they are amazingly chewy and wide, and their tangy savory sauce is the best. When I think about liangpi, I'm definitely going to Xi'an food for another slurp of these noodles mmmm! I also haven't had Li Lao San's Lamb Stew with Flatbread / 李老三牛肉泡馍 in a while, so that was a must-get. This is my favorite thing of all Xi-an cuisine and a traditional dish as well. It is slow-cooked lamb broth and torn pieces of handmade flatbread dough to make it into a warm soup; it's rich and seasoned with herbs and spices for that perfect sip and I just love chewing on the dough inside the soup. I didn't know this was missing from my life until I had another sip and now I crave it every day! The service is fast and our waitress was friendly and helpful. They brought all of our dishes out in less than 10 minutes and our whole table was filled. We ordered way too much food, and we know it, so we got to take it all home to enjoy for another meal. We will definitely be coming back for their lamb stew, liang pi, and wide noodles!

Recently, I noticed the lines disappeared so we came for an early dinner. The interior is pretty cool. It's kit just tables and chairs but the design element is unique. Some seating are inside a honeycomb shaped booth, some are just in the middle of the dining area. We were seated at a table that resembles a birdcage. There's a lot of wood and warm colors, which makes the ambiance stand out over other ramen places. We ordered a ramen, omurice with katsu, some skewers and popcorn chicken. The spicy ramen was delicious, but there was no soft boiled egg as shown on the menu photo. All I saw was a broken egg white at the bottom of the bowl. 4/5. The omurice was nicely done. The egg was perfectly soft and silky with a nice curry sauce in the side. The katsu that came with it was crispy, hot and tasty. 4.5/5. The popcorn chicken was great. Perfect seasoning and crispy. 5/5. The skewers however, were the low point of our dinner. They did not appear they were cooked fresh. The meats were dry and tough. The scallops were OK but tiny. Chicken was average. The whole order did not satisfy. We also got an Amazing Lemonade and Thai iced tea. The lemonade was a very refreshing drink, and the Thai tea is just like all other places. Our server, unfortunately forgot his name, was excellent. Very personable and great at describing flavors. The friendliness extends to the rest of the staff too. It's a nice place to check out. Note their parking lot is fairly small, and shared with Paris Baguette next door. It's a 4.5, rounded up.
