This place was excellent! Friendly staff and generous portions. We got the papaya salad which was good. Pad Thai was not super sweet like in other places, wasn't too dry or juicy, it was just right. We also got chicken with mixed vegetables, pad see won, and drunken noodle which tasted great too. Would come back again to try their other dishes.

Thai Paradise offers extensive choices and variety of authentic Thai food. I love the green curry, shrimp woon sen clay pot, Tom Ka Chicken and BBQ Moo Ping (pork skewer). Everything was so tasty and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is comfortable, bright and full of beautiful decorations. They have lots of parking in the back. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes next time. Highly recommended!

There's plenty of tables from two seats to like eight seats. There's indoor women's restroom and men's restroom is outside of the restaurant. We ordered the papaya salad and thought it was tasty. Also had the seafood pad seew which was well seasoned. Had some scallop and shrimp dish as well which tasted very much like pad seew without the noodles. They had some red bean dessert at the end which reminded me of a red bean porridge. Overall, we were pleased with our meal and plan on returning.

We came here close to closing time, but they accommodated us, we apologized, we just had to order quickly. So nice of them! We are visiting from Dallas, and found plenty of parking! We walk in and the restaurant is a bit dated, but it's fine. The staff is really nice. I ordered the pad see ew, and it was a huge plate! It was delicious and I had enough for leftovers the next day! If I come back to California I will come back here

Wonderful service, tasty food, and overall lovely vibes. It was my friends bday turning 45 and he requested Thai food because he's never had it, can you believe that!! This place delivered 110%, they bought us a candle to sing to him and gave us a free dessert. This is definitely a special occasion place. They're appetizers are so good!

Absolutely delicious! The ingredients here are super fresh, and every dish tastes authentic -- just like what you'd get in Thailand. Our server, Serigius, was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Here's a little insider tip (not sure if I'm supposed to say this ): if you order the fried rice, ask for crispy pork. It's not on the menu, but it's a secret item -- and it's amazing! Thai Paradise has definitely become one of my favorite Thai spots on Atlantic Blvd. Highly recommend!

Great place for low cost but high quality Thai food! Had the lunch special for only $11. Decent amount of foods too. Hard to find this combo of low cost high quality food options these days. Highly recommend anyone to try!

So glad I came back to Thai Paradise! I hadn't been in forever, but the food is just as good as I remember. The decor is classic and the restaurant was very clean. The service was also great. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share, including Beef Satay, Spicy Noodles, Sweet and Sour Pompano, and Papaya Salad. Honestly, every dish was amazing, but the Pompano was the real star. For dessert, they brought us a free little cup of purple rice. It was so delicious that we ended up buying a whole container to take home. Such a great meal!

What We Ordered: -Chicken Satay -Pad See Ew -Tom Yum Soup -Fried Ice Cream We watched a movie together at AMC down the street and were looking for an early dinning. We were craving Thai - it was match made in Heaven. We decided on the Chicken Satay, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum Soup and Fried Ice Cream. The Chicken Satay was our favorite dish. It was well-liked by everyone at our table. The Pad See Ew is one of our favorite Thai dishes, but it wasn't very good and had a strange odor. It smelled like smelly socks or something like that. I saw the Tom Yum Soup on other tables and it looked so cool with the fire. I had to get it, but it proved to be a mistake as none of us liked it either. They served us this complimentary purple rice dish for dessert and it was quite good. My son had never tried Fried Ice Cream and when I saw it on the menu. I had to order it for him despite my wife not wanting him to eat it. Whoops! He loved it as did I! The original server wasn't so good, but they must have switched because the female server who took over was much more attentive and helpful. I wouldn't come back here as the food wasn't anything to write home about. We are still on the look out for better Thai food in the SGV.

First time here, we tried some classics. Ordered the coconut chicken soup, chicken pad thai, ong choy and chicken satay skewers. Everything was yummy and authentic. Pricing is reasonable & service was great. The restaurant is big & they have a big parking lot in the back too. The coconut chicken soup was my fav, so creamy and umami. Would be back!

To start off, portions were huge! Got a lot of their classic and what Thai food is known for. From their tom yum soup, to the papaya salad, pineapple fried rice and their omelette, everything else tasted amazing. Service was excellent! They keep checking up on us to make sure that we got what we needed. The inside and outside made you feel as if you're actually in Thailand. Only thing was price is a little steep.

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was almost full. We were seated right away and led to the left side of the restaurant. Service was quick. Our server was really kind and friendly. He checked in on us quite a few times to make sure our glasses were filled and our orders were correct. He did it all with a smile. Our food was good. I had the papaya salad which had the right balance of acidity, savory, and tangy flavors. I really enjoyed it. We also ordered the chicken pad Thai and chicken satay. Again, both were delicious. We ordered mango sticky rice for dessert which was the perfect end to our meal. The rice was creamy and the mango was really sweet. The only downside to our meal, and why this isn't a 5-star, was the amount of gnats. There were so many in the area we were sitting in. One of them landed in our mango sticky rice which was a huge bummer. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience.

I moved to the SGV a little over a year ago and I have been sorely disappointed by offerings this nook of LA county has to offer *ahem banana bay*. I found myself driving to the SFV or Thai Town whenever I was too lazy to cook Thai food on my own. I decided to take a gamble with this restaurant and I am so very glad that I did. It's so good and authentic that I have come out of yelp retirement (Yelp Elite 2016-2020) to leave this review. I ordered four things as take out: Issan Sausage, Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken, Spicy Fried Crispy Cat Fish, and Drunken Noodles. I was told that they were out of the Kra Pow Century Egg and stewed pork leg over rice. Hopefully, I'll get to try it next time! Issan Sausage: Good portions. Flavor is very good, a little sour, a little salty, and a hint of sweetness. I think the flavors could be a bit more bold with the sour but overall the flavors profile is as it should be. Frying it also added a nice crispiness to it. Spicy Fried crispy Catfish: Flavors were really good. Sweet foods is typically not usually in my flavor profile, but this is one of the few sweet entrees I actually like. Catfish can be a bit more fried but that is moreso a preference on my part. Drunken Noodle Beef: Good char on the noodles. Flavor was really good as well. Not that much beef but the star of the show are the noodles. I was a tad confused on the egg in my drunken noodle but to each their own. I would probably order it without the egg next time because it does change the texture a bit. Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken: Now here's where it gets interesting! Tantawan actually uses holy basil (Kra Pow). It's harder to find but it has a very distinct flavor that Thai-American cuisine has for the most part substituted due to scarcity with Thai Basil (Horapha). I don't think you can get more authentic than actually using the right herb. Funnily enough, I think it can throw off people that have never had authentic Kra Pow as my partner said it tasted herbally. Thai food can be very hit and miss even among the Thai community as we all have different preferences when it comes to the holy trinity of sweet, salty, and sour. I am personally on the spectrum of sweet should be hinted at and never the forward flavor. Tantawan with the dishes I ordered definitely held to my flavor profile. Very well cooked and good flavor profile. I didn't have to add any seasoning as everything was cooked just right. I called my take out in and they said it would be ready in 20 and it was when I arrived. Even as the food sat in my passenger seat as I drove home I could tell from the smell emanating from the take-out bag that the food was going to be good. Quick and courteous service!

We joined their waitlist on their tablet near their counter and we were seated within 5 minutes. Just like the other location in Rowland Heights, it's very busy on a Friday night! The restaurant overall is very clean except near the entrance due to high foot traffic. It's decorated with Chinese lanterns, cherry blossom, and bamboo trees placed in the middle of the restaurant. It almost felt like I was dining at a high end restaurant. It's significantly smaller than the other location, but the high ceilings give it a spacious atmosphere. There are plenty tables and booths. Be aware the booths do move easily when you get out of your seat. We were sat in the booth closest to their entrance which I didn't mind at first, but after a while the high foot traffic was distracting (maybe they could place a divider between the waiting area and the booth). Onto the food, pricing, and service: portion is generous and they are more affordable than the Rowland Height's location. I ordered the Bbq Chicken Fried Rice. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. It was easy to take off the bone. The fried rice was light, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I couldn't finish my plate (even though I wanted to) so I boxed the rest to take home. My husband got the Continental Fried Rice. A dish Banana Bay is well-known for. The chicken skin was crispy, the fried egg was yolky in the center, the sausages were soft, and the fried rice was consistent with my plate's. Service was great and the staff was attentive even during their peak hours. I gained a sense of relief when more than one waitress checked in on us periodically. Overall, my husband and I had a great first impression. We're already talking about coming back in the near future. If you're looking for a Thai spot where you can order a plateful of food at an affordable price, this one is it!

I can't not complain about the food, the food is amazing and cooked perfect. The one huge thing…read morethat made this whole experience extremely horrible and unforgettable was the service, or lack of service for better explanation. And I have strongly feeling, we were discriminated because we were not of Asian ethnicity and because we were Latino. When we sat down it took them about 20 minutes to receive the menus, and another 20 to get water while at the same time every other table was being tended to multiple times. When I would raise my hand for service the "employees" who worked there would just look at me with my raised hand and continue to ignore me. When we ordered our food after almost 30 minutes of just sitting there, this Asian woman who refused to give me her name , came to our table and just took the chili sauce tray from our table and said "I'm going to use this for the other table since you guys don't have food, and I'll bring you one later." I said that was fine since we were still waiting on our food. 20 minutes later passed, and our food comes out. I asked the nice Asian gentleman who brought our food if I can get forks and spoons, since he didn't bring any to us. And he completely ignored me and walked away. So we had to sit there with our food with no utensils and no chili tray. I tried to get the attention of the Asian woman who took our chili tray so we can get one since our food arrived and the same Asian women server completely ignored me the whole time and only attended to her side of the restaurant. I don't understand the whole lack of customer service to people who clearly are not Asian, the ambiance felt off and you could totally feel the discrimination and different kind of treatment received. So after 10 minutes of just waiting for our utensils or for someone to come approach me after I've been flagging them down with my hands, I had to get up and go to the front desk and asked if someone could help us cause everyone is ignoring us. When I said that to the young lady at the front desk, she had someone come out immediately to finally give us utensils and our chili that was removed from our table. Not even 10 minutes after we started eating. A different asian woman waiter, who was not our waiter from earlier approached us and asked us "if you guys need to order more food do it it now cause we are about to close and needs to be ordered to go." I find it ironic that she only came to us to let us know that they were closing soon, but the other patrons who obviously were of Asian orientation were left alone. They brought us our check while we were still eating. It was obvious that they were rushing us out after the dreadful, abysmal, subpar service we received. Never have I been treated differently from the rest of the patrons in a restaurant, and I find it sad because I've been going to Banana Bay in Rowland Heights since 2010 and have NEVER received this kind of service. This will be my last time I support this restaurant and anyone who is Latino or any other different race for that matter, be warned.
