This place seemed tucked away. I only found them because I was in Monterey Park and I was craving banh mi so this popped up as the closest spot. Interior was nice/bigger than I expected from the outside. I only ordered a banh mi to-go, but just looking at the other tables I could tell some of the other dishes looked solid, looked like their was depth of flavor. I'll just speak on the banh mi though. They had a beef brisket banh mi which really intrigued me. I don't think I've been to a place with beef brisket banh mi. I think it is a dope offering to have as a menu item. They also pair it with a small sauce sized container of pho broth. I think the pho broth paired well for sure. Where it fell short was that it was slightly over seasoned and maybe sliiightly dry. I think it can be a delicate balance to give a little char to the brisket while not over cooking it or drying it out. I'm not sure if there's any pate or any other sauce/spread in the baguette itself at least I didn't taste it. I would've liked slightly more vegetable inside for balance and crunch. The pho broth was also slightly salty but still had depth of flavor and was a welcomed pairing because it gave the banh mi more moisture. I may have said all that, but I think it was all subtle things. It still tasted good. It's priced on the higher side so there's an expectation to really nail it or come down a little on pricing. Will be back to try some of the other dishes.

Cucumber Mint Lemonade was refreshing but too sweet so I had to add water to make it less sweet

Ordered UberEats since they have a BOGO offer for pho & drink for only $24.95! What a deal! My order came pretty fast - less than an hour There are 3 options of Pho and drink - well done brisket, rare steak & well done brisket, and beef meatballs. The 3 drinks options are - cucumber Mint lemonade, lemonade, and. Thai Milk Tea (+$1.75) I chose the rare steak & well done brisket Pho. I was impressed by how nicely packaged it was and how big the portion was! The bean sprouts and basils were so fresh and there was so much meat! The broth was so flavorful and not too salty. This was definitely one of the best pho I've had! The meat quality was pretty good too and not fatty! The Cucumber Mint Lemonade was way too sweet but it was very refreshing. I enjoyed the bits of mint and cucumber inside but wished it wasn't so sweet. I had to add water into it otherwise it wasn't enjoyable at all. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and definitely recommend their deal currently!

Delivery order - one Oxtail pho and added brisket for 5$ - 4/2026

This review is for food delivery only not for dine in * Ordered the oxtail pho for delivery - and was honestly surprised to have just one large oxtail. Typically when I order from other places, there is one large one, and at least a little one small smaller one. The food wasn't bad however ,it wasn't amazing. I did add beef brisket for five dollars and glad I did. There was no lime included only lemon, which is fine on my end, but typically would have loved lime like most pho places do. Not sure if I would order again when there are so many other fun places that give more quantity and quality. xx APRIL 2026 review

Strawberry Dream - delicious!

I came back to try the banh mi and pho. The banh mi was so friggen good. I had it with the beef brisket. The beef was rich, flavorful, tender and had nice little fatty bits that made it all the more succulent. The bread was soft and lightly crunchy. Love the fresh, pickled veggies in there! It came with an au jus, which was new. I've never had a banh mi with au jus. Well, it was wonderful. The au jus was delicious and made the sandwich even better. I ordered the combo pho with a little of everything. Meats were generous and the broth was good. I noticed the noodles were different than most other places. They were tender with a nice chew and little more fragrant - like they were fresher and higher quality than usual. Perhaps they're made in house or they get them fresh. I noticed a difference. Welp!! Can't wait to return lol. Oh!! And I ordered the banana affogato slushi. Holy crap! It was amazing. It tasted like banana nut bread! It was so weird, in a good way. If you like bananas you gotta try.

Delicious food, great service. The pho is delicious, best places in Alhambra. We tried several different dishes, they are all good. The service is also great just be patient with time. They get a lot of orders to go and everything is fresh. The parking is a little bit crazy. The inside is not that big, I don't remember waiting more than five minutes for a table.

I ordered the brisket pho through Uber Eats and was so impressed with how everything arrived. Sometimes delivery pho can be a mess, but this was packed perfectly-the broth was still piping hot and the noodles were fresh, not soggy at all. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the portions were great. Definitely my new go-to for a cozy night in. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot that actually knows how to handle takeout orders!

We visited on a rainy Tuesday evening around 7 PM and unfortunately left very disappointed. Parking is extremely limited, which became even more frustrating given the weather. We were told the restaurant was at full capacity and had to wait outside in the rain with very little coverage. For such a small space, the waitlist process also felt unnecessary and disorganized. Absolutely no need for pagers imo. Once seated, the experience didn't improve much. The broth was not hot enough to properly cook the beef, which remained essentially raw throughout the meal and was inedible for me. For a pho restaurant, broth temperature is critical. The noodles were good, but overall the food quality was just average. The interior felt cramped, and the decor didn't feel cohesive with the permanent wall design. Service was also lacking because there appeared to be minimal staff, and no one checked on us during the meal. We saw the surrounding tables complain as well on the service out loud and wanted to leave. I had previously attended a Yelp event here and enjoyed it, which made this visit especially disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not return.

Ordered via Uber Eats and they had the beef brisket banh mi as a BOGO. What a great deal! It was delish too! Flavor on the brisket was so good and it came with broth for dipping. Generous portion of beef too! We order the fried oyster mushrooms and loved them! My friend enjoyed her butterfly sticky rice dish too! Order came quickly too! Though we ordered this time, we do like the ambiance of the restaurant. Very quaint.

Nem Nướng w/ Bánh Hỏi

We came here per a recommendation from Peter and Lisa. One of the few places that still offer good quality for quality low prices. LA getting ridiculous with 10.5% tax and nothing to show for it...... Negatives: -parking and ambiance is a little tight. If you miss the restaurant in the corner you'll never know it's there. Positives: -value of food for your money is great. Their weekday lunch special is 13.95 for pho and an eggroll. Most of their dishes are 15 and under too. -we got pho, sticky rice, banh hoi nem nuong, and braised beef brisket banh mi. The pho broth was on the sweeter side and it was just okay for me. Our favorite dish is the braised beef banh mi. It's a perfect fusion of pho and banh mi. We'll be coming back just for that dish alone. The coffee flight was interesting and looked very instagramable. Overall, the presentation of their food was very eye catching and appetizing. Something that not many Vietnamese restaurants do. -service was good and friendly Overall 5/5 Thank you for Peter and Lisa's recommendation. This spot is almost 30mins from where we live thanks to LA traffic....but it's worth the drive out to try and for repeat returns for us.

Veggie Egg Rolls Pho + Drink
Megan H.

I've been here quite a few times. Food: The pho is solid. It's not the best in town, in my opinion, but it does get the job done. The soup was warm, not too hot. The lunch special is great because you get free egg rolls with your pho! The eggrolls taste decent. They provide a free plate of lime and veggies. Drinks: They look amazing! It's so aesthetically pleasing. My drink was a combination of strawberry and Yakut, which definitely hit the spot. My friend also really liked her drink too! Parking: There is a free parking lot right next to the liquor store next door. Overall: 4/5; I came here to catch up with a friend and it's a nice place to do so. It was relatively quiet and not too packed. It's right next to a high school, so students can enjoy pho after school. Side note: the Thai tea here is pretty good!

Cool place. Tons of choices, and I appreciated they had flights of different coffees and teas, along with vegetarian choices. I got the tempura oyster mushroom appetizer. Tasted very good, but I ate a-lot and felt queasy- make sure to share with someone. Will come again though. Place has plenty of seating and parking was easy.

Adorable place to grab pho and bah mi! It's well decorated inside and located in a little plaza with a small parking lot. The service was good, not very quick for lunch rush. I think it was just one person taking orders at lunch on a Wednesday which is probably why. You order at your table and pay at the counter on your way out. We both ordered the oxtail pho. The flavor of the broth was incredible, the oxtail was a little tough and hard to get off the bone. The flavor of the meat was great otherwise. I'd definitely come back again.

Christina K.

Super good food. Great portions, well made, authentic. The parking lot is dingy looking but definitely opposite of the food. Ambiance is nice. Service is great. It's like a 20 something year old kid always checking in with you. Good worker

Not yet. They are still in the process of working on their patio. I didn't see heat lamps so it may only be a thing when the weather is warm.

The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. Not much mung bean either after stirring it literally for about 4 seconds the mung bean basically disintegrated into the liquid. The liquid.. watered down skim milk, not a trace of coconut flavor anywhere. I didn't know you can mess up Che Ba Mau until I had it from here.

Inside was pretty small but they offer inside and outside seating. Menu had a good variety of dishes and prices were reasonably priced. Got the Special Beef Combo Noodle ($14.50) and it consisted of eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball. The broth tasted very light and not too greasy or salty so that was enjoyable. The quality of the meat was very dry and wasn't tender so that was very disappointing. The portion of meat and noodles given wasn't plentiful so that was a bummer. The basil, bean sprouts, and lemon were decent and so were the complimentary sauces. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the pho and even though it was reasonably priced, it didn't seem to be worth the price since the pho tasted very underwhelming.

We started with the rice cakes and pork spring rolls. The rice cakes were soft and delicate, while the spring rolls were packed with fresh vegetables and had a nice balance of textures. The Vietnamese crepe was one of my favorite dishes. The crepe itself was crispy and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork, creating a flavorful bite with plenty of crunch and freshness. The broken rice plate was another standout. The sweet and savory fish sauce soaked into the rice perfectly, and the assortment of meats was well-seasoned and flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and satisfying, featuring aromatic lemongrass pork that was beautifully charred. The pho was the highlight of the meal. The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of beef flavor. The noodles maintained a great texture, and the meats were tender. The fall-off-the-bone beef rib was especially impressive and made the bowl feel extra hearty. To finish the meal, they even provided complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. When we visited this weekend, there was a table with 3 ladies speaking quite loudly and proudly that they were influencers. They had ordered a huge spread across two tables for 3. Needless to say, there were a lot of take out boxes. I don't care for the social media hype. I care about the food and service. Service today was fine. There were several staff members around and it was easy to flag them down whenever we needed something. They also did come around the table occasionally to check on us. Food is where it fell flat. Overall, the food ate heavy and greasy. This is rare since Vietnamese food is often known for it's freshness and healthiness with all the veggies etc. We ordered a pork chop over broken rice with shrimp paste in soy paper. The rice was perfect broken rice, the pork was perfectly seasoned and fried nicely, has some nice lean bites and fatty bites. The problem was with the shrimp paste. It tasted stale and old and hard. It was off putting and really needed the nouc cham to help masks it. Second dish was what I usually order at all Vietnamese restaurants. Grilled pork with vermicelli. The one we got included 2 fried spring rolls (or ja yo). The spring rolls were good, I enjoyed them! The pork was a bit dry. Vermicelli was fine. Veggie mix only had romaine, cucumber, and bean sprouts. No basil or mints. The nouc cham was too bland to fix this dish. We needed more acid. There were too many raw garlic in the sauce that it gave us heartburn. The best thing we had was my ice tea. Simple jasmine tea was nice and thick, not watered down. Very refreshing and comes with refills. They have been here for a long time, and I want them to do well but I can understand why business has been slow of there are way better options out there right now.

No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!
