I enjoyed the food here. The restaurant itself seems new and clean. The menu has beautiful photos with detail descriptions that make me wanna get everything. Service was efficient but not very friendly. Food was great and good portion size too. Definitely will come back to try other dishes.
We recently moved into the area. The pho restaurants here are thousands of times better than the pho restaurants near our prior residence. We visited Golden Delight upon recommendation from a nail tech. We were blown away by the taste and quality. This place has is now part of our rotation. Enjoy!
Best pho and egg spring rolls in SGV! Parking is available in the lot behind it, and they sometimes have a long line. Come in odd hours to avoid lines. They have a rock/stone bowl that keeps the pho broth warm longer and makes it taste better.
The restaurant has a sign in sheet, so make sure to put your name down when you get there. There's a parking lot on both sides of the building. The parking lot gets busy during the weekends. The food was good but the ac was not that high. It was really hot. I enjoyed the banh beo and the rice. The staff were efficient and fast. Lots of dishes on the menu to try. Nice decor and tables.
Taste is Spot on ! So much choices.. vietnamese menu and Chinese good menu. Service is awesome we had like 5 different waiters coming to our table asking us if we needed anything and checking on us. It was mildly busy when we went and service was very attentive and quick . Pricing is reasonable and portion are generous which is hard combo go find these days . One of nicer vietnamese places we have been to. Parking is limited I mean barley any spaces in parking lot and underground and they are tiny spaces. Street parking at your own risk if you get what I mean. I can only imagine when it super busy how bad the parking is. But let me tell you it is worth the visit ! You will find something for everyone here. And again pricing is reasonable in an unreasonable pricing climate we are in today.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. There is parking on the street as well as an underground parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant is very nice, bright, and clean. The decors were cool. We signed in to the waiting list. Waited outside and before long, we were called in and got our table. The staffs were courteous and friendly. This is a Vietnamese restaurant that also serve Chinese Foods. They have two sets of menus. One for Vietnamese dishes and the other one for Chinese dishes. Both menus offer a variety of selections. They even have Set Dinner Menu that comes with pre-set items. Have to give that a try one day. We ended up ordering the Bún Bò Huế and the Vietnamese Braised Fish. The Braised Fish did not come with steam rice, so we had to order the steam rice. For the drinks, we had the Peach Oolong Iced Tea and the 3-Colored Dessert. The Bún Bò Huế was very good. The Braised Fish was a little salty but still tasted good. The Peach Oolong Iced Tea was refreshing. The 3-Colored Dessert was very yummy. I enjoyed the sweet taste of it. They gave us orange slices for dessert on the house. The orange slices were so sweet and delicious. Will be back to try their other dishes I saw on their menus.
There are very few Vietnamese restaurants that I've come across growing up in the SGV that offer the fermented fish vermicelli soup (aka bun mam) but Golden Delight does! This soup is so pungent that the only time I get to savor it is at home and the stink doesn't leave your home for a few days. So, it is to my delight that they offer it here during the weekdays. It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.
Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant with 2 different respective menus. Got a mix of both. Pretty empty on a weekday afternoon. Haven't been here in a while and seems like quality has gone down. Started with the fried shrimp with salted egg. Shrimp wasn't crispy and the Salty egg flavor wasn't the best. Wasn't crispy and seemed like it didn't get to rest properly with the oil still on. Braised pork belly with egg tasted just like something you can make at home but still tasty. Came with 3 eggs and thick cuts of pork belly. Could be more tender as some pieces were tough. The pho was ok. Broth more on salty side. Hot stone kept it hot but the beef ribs were not tender. The hot and sour soup was decent. Not too sour and good amount of catfish inside. The ice mojito mocktail was refreshing. Felt more upscale before eating in here.
This place is always busy. Came on a Saturday around 1:30 pm with a party of 3 and still had about a 15 minute wait. Service started a bit slow. It took a while to get water and place our order, and staff doesn't really check in much after that. The menu here is different from Golden Delight #2. This location has both a Vietnamese and separate Chinese menu. The Chinese side is more family-style, while the Vietnamese menu is noticeably smaller. They don't offer things like com tam or goi here, which was a bit disappointing. I wish they were more transparent on the viet menu and then just offer additional chinese food at this location if anything. The food is just as good and portions are just as big as the other location. The space is similar in size to #2, and not quite as clean or new, but still nicer than many other Vietnamese spots. It has that same gold-themed decor that gives it a slightly more upscale feel. Parking is convenient with street spots in front or a free 2-hour lot in the back, though it does fill up. Overall, still a good spot, but I personally prefer the #2 location for the more complete vietnamese menu and cleaner/brighter space.
Ordered dinner here for the family. First time at Golden Delight, offering a teo chow chinese menu and vietnamese menu. Vietnamese kitchen closed at 7. Ordered dinner for the family to go on the vietnamese menu. Got pho dac biet, pho ga and pho bo vien along with spring rolls (that has shrimp and pork). Total was just under $80 which not out of the norm these days. Waited about 20 minutes for the food. While waiting, there's not a whole lot of room to stand by unless you hang around the register area, but the staff was kind to offer me a seat at the booth that was vacant to wait. The staff was very nice and easy to talk to and checked in with you made you feel very comfortable. The restaurant has a lot of seating and based on the menu has a lot of food offering especially for a place that serves both Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. I had the pho bo vien and the soup base is on par, but the meatball was meh. It lacked flavor and was not complimenting the soup or noodles at all. This is the reason for the two star deduction. It was an alright dish and likely would not try it again. My mother in law had the pho dac biet and she told me she was not a fan of it and prefers other restaurants pho dac biet. My wife had pho ga and she reports its a decent dish as well. So all in all it received an "okay" rating. The packaging of the to go order was a bit on the fancy side which i think is a nice touch but does not make up for the food being "okay". Would i come back to this restaurant? Probably if i am in the area but will likely try their Chinese menu and see how that fairs to their Vietnamese menu. Would it be a first choice if i was trying to decide a place to eat, for me not likely. Hopefully their chinese menu will change my mind. Until then it was a decent choice.
Party of 3 stumbled upon this restaurant based on Yelp! The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern. They have a small garage parking. Service is really busy, I think they shared all the tables. It's friendly and efficient. We ordered beef crispy noodles which is authentic, a small braised pork with egg is very flavorful. Highly recommended dish. Squid with basil sauce is kind of half crispy and half sauce - it's good and tasty. Rice is $1 per bowl. Overall, we will comeback here to try their pho, and other Chinese / Vietnamese dishes.
Golden Delight #1 located on Garvey Ave. in El Monte serves Vietnamese cuisine along with some Chinese dishes. Our party of 9 were seated at their large after a short wait. They do not take reservations and you check in at the kiosk next to the host podium. Because we of large group we were able to try lots of different dishes. Sautéed shrimp and asparagus Beef stew Bo Kha Sautéed bock choy Golden Delight Pho beef rib Fried chicken wings Mapo tofu Bun Suon Moc vermicelli House Special Prawn E-Fu Noodle Ong Choy w/ fermented bean curd Egg rolls French style beef cube All of the items were good and everything came out fast. The best item was the house special prawn noodle. The interior decor is like a nice dim sum place rather than your normal pho restaurant. Service was good but very ridged toward the vegetation restrictions of one in our group. Street parking only.
Great flavors, big menu and a great manager. After reading the reviews, I decided to give this place a try on my only night in the Rosemead area. They had a Chinese menu and a Vietnamese menu. Honestly, it was a tough choice. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls , and the bun Bo nuong cha gio. The dishes were prepared with quality and patience. Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town. read more

Our fav chain location, and pho/chinese lunch special place! $16ish Pho, and $12/$13.99 Chinese Lunch Special Monday-Thursday 11am-3pm, includes soup and rice. Allows lunch special takeout!!! Soup not included for takeout orders. Newer restaurant with modern, clean look and maintenance with nice booth seating (but fitbbest for lean customers). Takes credit card. Friends who are regulars here suggested this place awhile back and now its or regular stop. This is probably the only pho/Vietnamese shop that I know that also serve Chinese food, and Chinese lunch special. $5.50 Pennywort Juice with their regular sweetness was perfect!! Not overly sweet, not overly watery here too. $16.50 Golden Delight Pho is typical beef pho, tasty. No Stone Bowl vs stone is the same price. $12.50 L5. String Beans with Chicken. It comes with 1 bowl of rice and soup. This dish isn't large but looks like better quality. The soup is like msg fish flavor soup, still tasty. Funny, how we haven't had the chance to try their spring rolls yet or maybe I've just given up on it diento so many bad/nonfresh ones; next time! Note in past visit: Bun Bo Hue is pretty spicy. If it says 2 spicy out of 3. Its probably good for someone who does like medium spicy. It's more of a mild to light medium person and I barely was able to enjoy it. I was craving for the food at Golden Delight, and I was in the area yesterday. I ordered French-style beef over red rice ($16.50), Bún riêu ($15.50), and Hainanese Chicken Thigh Rice ($15.99) for to-go. We all liked their food. My favorite was their Bún riêu (Vietnamese Crab, Pork & Tomato Noodle Soup), it was very delicious, and the flavor was rich, and it had a tangy & savory flavor from the tomato and shrimp paste. The hot broth was nicely separated into another bowl, with the cooked riêu and tofu, and then we garnished it with their fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lime before eating. The French-style beef over red rice was addictive, and it was very flavorful. The Hainan chicken rice was not bad, and I liked the oily rice more than the chicken. They packaged the to-go boxes nicely, and the staff was friendly and efficient as well. read more

Authentic Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. Free street parking available and small parking lot in rear. Fried egg rolls were crispy and had a generous filling with meat and vegetables. Savory and delectable! Banh Canh Cua had chewy udon noodles in a thick crab soup. Came with may toppings (shrimp, Vietnamese ham, mushrooms, green onions, fried onions, quail egg, pork slices, pork blood, and pork foot). Extremely filling and I love the thickness of the broth. Pho was just okay. The "fatty brisket" they gave us didn't have fat at all. It was more like plain brisket. The broth is good though. Service is wonderful! The workers here really hustle and are so quick with fulfilling requests. I would say a minor con of this place is that it's not suitable for large groups. There is only one table available for parties over 6 people. Thus, super long wait times for my family and me when we come together. They have the convenience of joining the waitlist via Yelp, but doesn't matter for large parties if that big table is taken. read more
Second time here, I had everything the same as my last visit except for the House Special Prawn E-fu Noodles. This was recommended by our server, the prawns were large and the sauce of this dish was average (savory with a slight spiciness from the black pepper). However, I didn't really like the noodle, it was thick but not chewy (felt like you were just chewing on flour but with no distinctive texture). I don't recommend it. The service was great but staff started cleaning early before their closing time and trying to get the customer out the door (which I do understand but kind of kill the overall experience a bit). There was barely a wait on a Sunday night which really surprised me. The parking lot is quite small and can be hard to navigate. read more

Been here twice now. The most recent time I came was cause a friend was craving their fermented fish soup. Sounds less appetizing than it really is. It didn't have as fermented of a smell as I thought it would like with stinky tofu. It was ok, kinda salty. I got the hot and sour shrimp soup. The standard is catfish but I prefer shrimp. The small size is great for sharing so even after drinking three bowls, there was still plenty to share and take home. They were not skimpy on the shrimp either. It is just a soup so if you're eating that on its own, like I did, I would recommend ordering a side of noodles or rice to go with it. I got noodles cause I prefer that combo. We also got the egg rolls appetizer to share cause our other friend was taking forever to get there. I was hesitant cause it's made with taro and I dislike taro, plus it's like a cheap filler some places use instead of putting more meat. It was made the way I like with the clear spring roll wrapper and then deep fried instead of the usually egg wash egg roll wrappers. It didn't end up tasting super taro like so I would actually get it again. I didn't get it this time but the stewed catfish is always good. I wish I could make it at home. I keep saying I'll be back to try the stone pot pho but I always end up getting something else. Maybe I'll bring my kids and get multiple things. Downsides are parking sucks so we always end up doing street parking which I dislike. The booth they stuck us in was right by the bathroom but the worst part was it was tight and lopsided. Like I dunno what was going on with the seat but it was definitely askew. 1-2 stars for just those things but I still give them a 4 cause it's really about the food and service was good enough. read more
Food 4/5: Started with a peach tea, nicely sweet and refreshing. The bun bo hué was good, lacked a little flavor but portion wonderfully. The second noodle fish was the crab udon which was deliciously flavored! Definitely try the crab udon, a must! Service 5/5: Staff is great, very quick and nice! Ambiance 5/5: Beautiful decorations and really comfortable seating. Plenty of space for large parties as well. read more

Visiting LA and was recommended this place! The inside was definitely a little fancier than other pho restaurants I've been too but still casual! They had a mix of viet and Chinese food. They were super organized and efficient with the wait! They were also pretty attentive since they had quite the wait outside but we didn't feel rushed at all. Now for the food, I got the Pho Dac Biet in the stone bowl and they do give you a pretty good portion of meat, but I felt that the bowl was a little small and crowded especially when I added the raw meat and noodles in (I didn't have room for my veggies) but overall it was good and clean! I would probably just get the "pick 3" in a ceramic bowl next time tho. My friend got the Bun Bo Hue and said it was really good! And the egg rolls were great as well! Highly recommend! read more
Golden Delight is a local restaurant that offers both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. I've been here a few times and every time, I order from the Vietnamese menu because it's that good. Their Vietnamese food is delicious and I would recommend trying it. Hot Stone Pho: Excellent dish, with the star being the rich and flavorful broth. Serving the pho broth in this hot stone bowl keeps it piping hot for much longer than a standard bowl. The portion size is quite generous, as the pho is served with a variety of meats: rare filet steak, brisket, tendons, beef balls, and tripe. Golden Delight Noodles (Hu Tieu): Comforting bowl of noodle soup. I believe you can choose between egg noodle or rice noodle, either one is great. It contains a lot of various meats, including shrimp, ground pork, chashu, squid, and fish balls. This is a good option if you want something lighter, as the broth tastes nice and light. Ground Shrimp & Minced Crab Meat in Tomato Soup (Bun Rieu): A hearty noodle soup with shrimp paste, crab cake, and pork blood. The tomato-crab broth tastes sweet and tangy. The rice vermicelli noodles are smooth and slippery, a wonderful complement to all the ingredients. Adding bean sprouts to this is a must. Egg Rolls (Cha Gio Chien): Best appetizer ever. The outside of each egg roll is super crispy, while the filling inside is savory. I suggest wrapping the egg rolls in the lettuce provided, which adds a nice refreshing taste. A side of fish sauce for dipping was served alongside the egg rolls, but completely optional to use. Grilled Pork Rolls (Thit Nuong Cuon): Not as yummy as the egg rolls, but still a decent appetizer. These rolls are filled with grilled pork, vermicelli, pickled vegetables, and lettuce. This is a good choice if you prefer something soft and chewy instead of crispy. My husband and I will keep coming back here for sure. Food and service are always on point. I'm also a fan of the clean and modern ambiance. There is a small underground parking lot, which can fill up quickly. Not an issue though because there is also plenty of street parking. read more
Great service and even great food, no wonder this one is always more packed than the 2nd location. It has more choices and variety type of food. Love this one more than the 2nd one since it has more Chinese food. 2nd location is more traditional Vietnamese dishes and more pho types. Will be back to ty more of the Chinese variety more next time. read more

As you're waiting for your food, you can hear instrumental pop songs. It gives you a classy Chinese food decor. The customer service is pretty good. This restaurant has both Vietnamese food and Chinese food. A good mix! You're able to pick 3 meats. I got tendon, brisket and fatty steak. I can't help it! They give you a choice of either a regular bowl or a stone bowl. I got the stone bowl which was $2 extra. I didn't mind. I also got the spring rolls and they don't skimp at all! Always busy, I try to come before the lunch rush usually. One of the best pho in the area! Clean, balanced broth, generous portion and even chicken pho is deliciously savory and one of my favorites. Nice comfortable seating, if It wasn't packed like sardines, it would be better but then, it wouldn't be the best pho place. read more
After all the positive reviews , I decided to give a try . Walked in to the restaurant , it's very clean and bright , table settings are unique , I like the idea they provide you the paper mats , offering both Chinese and Vietnamese menus . I would recommend their specialty Vietnamese items . The food portions were decent, veggies were fresh and refrigerated ! I am very allergic to MSG and normally consumed lots of water from the reaction after the meal , but this restaurant I haven't experienced anything . Best Vietnamese spot in Rosemead! I forgot to take pictures of the entire spread, but my new favorite is the (deep fried) Salt & Pepper Eggplants! I didn't even know it existed before this, but I'm going to order it everywhere now! There's underground parking, make sure to get there early! The restaurant is super nice and modern inside. Straight out of the gate, the ambiance of piano covers of popular radio songs gently playing in the background & well, brightly lit spaces was incredibly soothing and welcoming for us first timers. The tabletop condiment station, silverware, and presentation of the dishes supported continuity in upholding a pleasant dining experience, enhanced even more by the deep and rich flavors of the food. The pho was incredible and kept at the perfect temp to cook the add ons provided. The egg rolls, despite feeling light, packed some flavor and paired well with the mint leaves. As much as I enjoyed the fish sauce wings which had such great flavors, the bones themselves had melted into the meat to the point that some bites had mini bone shard fragments which was not very enjoyable. read more

Took my work group there for lunch and everyone was satisfied. I got something out of the ordinary, a fermented fish noodle soup only sold on weekdays. I also got a fried fish fillet lunch special with soup and rice for $13.50 and a spring roll for take out. All very tasty in a nice restaurant. Others got a bun, fried rice, and chicken in soup noodles. Someone found hair in their meal so the waiter replaced it and took it off the bill. Second time coming back to Golden Delight & this time was just as good as the previous time, if not even better. Parking here is free but the underground lot is not very spacious and is often filled to the brim. If not the underground lot, I recommend street parking as it's also free in this area. This time around, I took my lovely wife here for dinner & since we we're quite literally craving some delicious food. We waited around 10 minutes as the restaurant was pretty busy, pretty quick for a party of two. Service was pretty decent as we were seated, accommodated to, and ordered within around 5 minutes. We ordered 4 menu items and that didn't take long to come out as well, very fast service. 1. Imperial Rolls (Egg Rolls) - (6pcs) This is by far the most amazing egg rolls I've ever eaten. Super crispy, crunchy, and it's great that it comes with cucumbers, lettuce to wrap the egg rolls for a "healthier" taste. Super delicious and very well cooked. Fish sauce is also provided for some extra kick of flavor. In my books, this is a must try dish when coming to Golden Delight. 2. Hanoi Style Egg Noodle Soup I asked for thin cut styled noodles for this dish and when it came out, there's a lot of toppings, very soupy, and the noodles are very high quality. Not sure what disclosed the scent but the broth had that comfort, rich feeling. In my opinion, it's the perfect comfort food for any type of day. 3. Ground Shrimp & Minced Crab Meat in Tomato Soup (Bun Rieu) - My wife ordered this dish and it was also filled with toppings. Most notably, the pig blood curd which was a surprise in the dish. The tomato broth really brought out the hot pot style in the dish. Love the presentation for this dish, definitely on my try list the next time I visit. 4. Grilled Pork Rolls - (3pcs split into halves) - Similar to the egg rolls, this was also super delicious. Of course, a bit more dry than the egg rolls since there's no lettuce to wrap it, not needed of course. Filled with pork and a various style of ingredients, the pork rolls is very savory and chewy. Highly recommend as a substitute to the egg rolls if you prefer something that's more on the chewy and soft side. Overall, this is one of the best quality food places of all time, clean interior, a lot of classic decorations, fast service, it's literally a golden delight, will be back plenty in the future. read more
My favorite Vietnamese food spot, it also have a chinese selection of entrees too which makes it unique. I greatly enjoyed the hainan chicken, it was super fresh and juicy and great fresh condiments to go with it. Eggrolls were amazing, and crispy. If you come here for Pho, Bun mam, com tam, bun rieu, bun bo hue yes go for it but don't do the Combo Homemade food. It's not as good and the fish they served still cold inside ( they cooked it more after we request) but the wait time for these are long. The taste and texture are definitely not worth the time you wait. I rated it 4 stars because I like their Bun mam and how generous they are with protein in the bowl. read more
