I stopped by Golden Delight #2 for lunch on a weekday around noon, and there was no wait. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a modern, updated interior that feels much nicer than a typical pho restaurant. I ordered the Golden Delight Pho and really enjoyed the flavorful, clean-tasting broth. One thing I especially appreciated was that the beef and noodles were served separately from the hot broth, so I could cook the beef to my preferred doneness while keeping the noodles from getting soggy. I also tried the 10-Item Golden Delight Broken Rice. It's a great choice if you're visiting for the first time or can't decide what to order. The platter comes with a nice variety of meats and traditional Vietnamese sides, making it a fun sampler to experience different flavors in one meal. Service was quick during my visit, and the overall dining experience was pleasant. The only downside is that parking in this plaza can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, so you may need to be a little patient finding a spot.
Picked up a order of vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. Pretty good flavor but the skin on the egg rolls are pretty chewy. On the pricey side but what isn't these days. Wish there was more pork.
There was a bit of a wait during lunch but it wasn't too bad. The restaurant is pretty spacious and has decent amount of seating. The portions were also a good size and sharable. The service was alright, they forgot some things for our orders like the rice paper and the veggies for the Bun Bo Hue. Overall a pretty solid Viet spot was good variety on the menu!

We had the broken rice with all the trimmings, the pho, and also their spring rolls. Our server was pleasant and delightful. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious! The downside is that they're always busy and parking can be an issue as well. They didn't take any reservations unless you have a large party.

Every time I've passed by Golden Delight #2, it's always so busy and there's a reason why, the food is so bomb. We went to celebrate Mother's Day and there was a bit of a wait, but there's always a line. You can join the Yelp Waitlist and then enter your phone number to check your queue in line. After about 30 minutes, we ordered a delicious meal that included the Golden Delight Pho (aka the Pho Dac Biet) for $16.50 and Bun Nem Nuong + Cha Gio (Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli. I usually order the Charbroiled Pork & Egg Rolls with Vermicelli, swapping out the proteins at various Vietnamese restaurants, so I've had my fair share of Bun Thit Nuongs and dear lord, this is probably of of the best I've had lololol. The eggrolls were soo good. I usually judge the dish by the quality of the eggrolls and man, these eggrolls were bomb. And the nam nuong was really good too! Pho was great and I was so full. Overall, the place is beautiful, service is good, parking can be busy, but I definitely recommend this place!
Dare I say, best pho in the 626? I finally found the opportunity to eat at Golden Delight after passing by hundreds of times to see a long line in front of the store. I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

My daughter-in-law ordered a variety of dishes for us to share. We had a number of rolls that we wrapped with a variety of grilled pork, egg rolls, sausage, and veggies. We also had some fried shrimp paste with sugarcane. The watermelon juice was freshly made and enjoyable. The restaurant was bright and spacious with a number of tables quickly filling up as we dined. Food was fresh and service attentive.
We had a to-go order from here, and it was good. We ordered a nem combo that feeds 2-3 people, and the two of us were quite full afterward. I'm not sure if it was forgotten, but it didn't come with spring roll wrappers, so I used my own at home. The nem nuong was a bit different from what I'm used to at other places, but it was still pretty good. I do wish the combo came with a bit more sauce, though it did include both the orange sauce and fish sauce. Overall, it's a pretty good portion and tastes good for the $26 price!

Walked in here and it's pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. But this broken rice dish combination. $24 Also got a very unique soup bold dish that cost$16. It's full of seafood and the salty shrimp paste that's super nostalgic for me, but was quite strong. I'd pass on this next time. Service was excellent and the space is bright and airy. Food is good enough to come back!
Food was really good and definitely satisfied my cravings. We got the Vietnamese steamed rice cake with dried shrimp, charbroiled pork and egg rolls with vermicelli, bun bo hue, dried noodles with thin and egg noodles, chicken salad, and spring rolls. Everything was really good and flavorful. I especially loved the thin noodles with the sauce, and the chicken salad honestly exceeded my expectations. The spring rolls were decent. All the bowls were really flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous and match well with the price. There's plenty of seating. There were a couple parties ahead of us when we got there, but it moved pretty fast and we only waited about 5 minutes. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, this is definitely my go to Vietnamese spot in the area! They also have another location on Garvey as well

Great Food, Great Company, Great Portions! Lunch date with my Bff. We stopped by Golden Delight Restaurant on Valley and Rosemead and shared their Mixed Combo Cơm Tấm and rice sheets. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. The portions are huge too--two dishes were more than enough for the two of us. My only complaint is the customer service, but I do understand under staffing. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food with generous portions, definitely give them a try. New Location, Same Curiosity! Decided to give this newer location a try since our first visit to Golden Delight was years ago. I wanted to try their rice noodle soup with a mix of egg noodles and rice noodles, and let me just say... the picture speaks a thousand words. What arrived looked quite different from what was advertised on the menu. Although most of the ingredients were there, it definitely wasn't as pretty or as generously presented as the photos. Rice Noodle Soup (Egg Noodles + Rice Noodles Mixed) Rating: 6.8/10 The soup itself actually wasn't bad! The broth was light, clean, and nicely seasoned without being too heavy. While I enjoyed trying something different, it isn't a dish I'd order again on my next visit. Now let me warn you about their sauté sauce... It is PACKED with flavor but also seriously spicy! I made the mistake of adding a little too much to my noodle soup, and let's just say my taste buds definitely woke up. A little goes a long way, so add it slowly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very modern, clean, and has a trendy fusion vibe that makes for a nice dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As much as I appreciate the updated atmosphere, I always find myself gravitating back toward the more traditional, authentic-style Vietnamese restaurants when I'm craving comfort food. Service Unfortunately, the service on our Sunday visit was probably the biggest downside. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't seem interested in explaining the menu when we had a few questions. Instead, she came across as if she was in a rush the entire time, and her overall attitude felt a bit off-putting. It honestly made us feel like we were inconveniencing her just by asking questions. Great service can really elevate a meal, and unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. Between that and the food, it's another reason I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return to this location. Golden Delight's second location is the kind of destination you willingly sit through Valley Blvd. traffic for and battle for parking in an overwhelmed lot. A few things worth noting: - Currently my favorite thing to eat: the fermented fish vermicelli soup (weekends only). It has that signature tangy, slightly funky depth that makes each bite so satisfying. - The house special tomato soup with thick vermicelli is equally satisfying, available every day. Pork blood cubes, yum! - Jasmine iced tea is incredibly floral and fragrant. It's a refreshing balance paired with the noodle soups. The food and service is always consistent, and the golden touches give the ambiance a slightly elevated experience. If you're a noodle soup fiend, you definitely want to give this place a try! read more

Incredibly comforting, savory, and best enjoyed when ordered with a crusty, warm baguette to soak up every last drop of the gravy. If you want deep, beefy complexity, go for the Oxtail Pho. Couple weeks ago we went to Golden Delight #1 and really enjoyed the food there. So here we are at Golden Delight #2 for lunch on a Saturday. You either have to come early or later than 1pm to avoid wait. Service is friendly, they don't have assigned table. You get attention quickly. Vibe is more high end restaurant, clean and modern - decor looks like #1. We order Banh Beo Dried shrimp (rice cake in tiny plates with dried shrimp) - it's really tasty! Spicy beef noodles which is Bun Bo hue - it's flavorful, spicy. Last, golden delight pho with flat noodles. It's good. They use fresh ingredients, and I am happy to report actually #2 offer dishes not available at #1 and vice versa. I actually love that! read more
My official go-to Pho place in SGV. I've had a few places, but this. This place has the best pho broth, tender meats, and fresh thick noodles (not all place offers it). Service is always good and consistent. I like their gold accents everywhere from the utensils to the decor and cups. It's a nice touch. read more
A second Golden Delight opened on Valley Blvd in SGV area... the restaurant is pretty clean n neat included dining n restroom!! The menu is shown all pictures for easier reading to customers... Hot Stone Pho is still included to menu and it was served pretty hot soup base...!! I ordered Beef rib pho n the meat was tenderness enough, but could be braised a little long time.. so I could separate meat n bones easily... and the ice coffee Vietnamese could be strong favor a bit... Overall, everything is fine to get a four stars!! read more
There's always a line so we only went for the first time on this Sunday. We got there at 6:45pm party of 2 and got seated around 7:05pm with 12 parties ahead of us. The service was efficient and friendly. We ordered the bun rieu and pho dac bite and thought both were on point. Their broth is on the lighter side compared to nha Trang or golden deli but still very flavorful. Will come back to try out the pho ga and rice dishes! read more

The second time in my life trying nem and it's so good I forget how much I'm missing out on. This one was pretty pricey but the menu said it can feed 1-2 people, which was true. It lasted me two meals. I chose the Vietnamese grilled pork sausage and charbroiled sliced pork of which both were pretty tender. The sausage was juicy and tender, which was surprising. Unfortunately, my dish took the longest to come out in my group of 5. I think they forgot to put in my order because it took an additional 10+ minutes for it arrive after everyone else's did. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though. We came on a Saturday at 2pm and it was still pretty busy. We had to put our name down on the waitlist and it took an additional 20 min to get seated. The interior decoration is very out-of-the-ordinary for a Vietnamese restaurant with white marble and gold accents. read more

Plenty of parking on a late Tuesday afternoon. Clean open and well lit restaurant. But definitely warn ya try to find seating closer to the windows instead of the door. It's super windy and was a bit drafty. Luckily I have a jacket on while eating. I ordered the pick your three item pho and imperial egg rolls. I had meatball, filet mignon, and tripe. I think they forgot the tripe on my order but it's fine. I didn't ask for a replacement. Food was clean and I was able to get the egg rolls packed to go. Good meal. Will be back again read more

Overall, this place is decent. I came in on Easter, and there was a bit of a wait, we were the fifth party in line. Once seated, our server was quick to ask if we were ready to order, so we went ahead and made our choices. I really liked how my drinks were served--my cold water and jasmine iced tea came in a nice metal cup, which kept everything super cold, just how I like it. As for the food, it was okay. I had the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. The pork was a bit on the dry side, but the egg rolls were crispy and tasty. I also tried the "pick 3" combo with rice, which was alright. The baked egg, however, was dry and all I tasted was yolk. The additional $3 charge for extras felt a bit steep. I'd say something closer to $1.50 would be more reasonable. The interior was bright, clean, and had the AC blasting, which was a nice. All in all, I prefer Com Tam in San Gabriel for this kind of meal. read more
I used to be a fan of their original location #1 that served more Viet and Chinese dishes, but this second location leans fully Vietnamese. This spot has become one of my go to places for noodles, and their com tam is also really good. I usually rotate between the bun rieu, bun bo hue, pho dac biet, and canh bun. The broths here are legit and full of flavor. For com tam, I normally get the three item plate and the grilled nem is solid too. It does get pretty packed and the plaza parking is horrible, but lately I've been calling in my order for pickup. At this point, I'm basically a weekly customer. They package everything nicely and it heats up well at home, which I appreciate. This is definitely one of my current go to Vietnamese spots in the SGV. I fear Golden Delight might be overhyped. I came on a Friday night and waiting 35 - 40 minutes and I think because of the wait I expected the pho to blow my mind but honestly it was just mediocre. I will say for 17 dollars a bowl that they do give a good amount of meat but I wouldn't say the portion sizes are out of the norm. Most pho places I go to have big portions. I also think the broth was lacking in a depth of flavor and aromatics compared to other pho places I've been to in the OC. It could have been more flavorful filling and crispy. The vermicelli($15) with grilled pork and egg rolls had a very one dimensional flavor. The egg rolls could have been crispier as well. I really did enjoy the spring rolls ($11) thought. The shredded pork was really flavors which balanced extremely well with the herbs and vegetables in the roll. Overall I highly recommend the spring rolls but nothing can beat Brodard spring rolls. read more

My parents had not had Vietnamese food in a long time, so we decided to go to the Golden Delight in Rosemead. It's a very bright restaurant. There are abundant seats and the servers are nice. We got seated fairly quickly at 11 AM, but saw there were long lines by 12 PM. I wanted something different so I got chicken curry. We also shared a 3 item pho with tripe, tendon, and brisket, as well as a shrimp, egg, and tomato soup vermicelli. The food came out fairly quickly. The curry had a slight layer of grease at the top but otherwise was really good. It went well with rice and then I also took it home and dipped it in bread. The pho was quite tasty and adding some lime made it amazing. The vermicelli had strong tomato flavors and I loved the various meats and tofu inside the dish. I have heard a lot of good things about Golden Delights, especially from a few influencers in Southern California's food scene. Overall, the food here is decent, with some food items really standing out and a few that don't. Stone bowl beef pho - 3.5/5. The stone bowl feels more like a novelty than a way to enhance the dish's taste. The soup is okay with a distinctive, stronger-than-usual anise flavor - it's subjective, some people love this, not so much for me. The soup lacks a rich, meaty flavor. The rice noodles are okay; they didn't quite have the best texture. The meat ingredients, like the fillet, brisket, and tendons, are good. Bun Bo Hue - 4.5/5. Soup has a multitude of different flavors that blend well together. Love that there is a special, more savory, shrimp-paste-based chili sauce available to spice up the soup and dip the meats. Speaking of meats, the pork knuckle in the dish is well braised, especially the soft meat layer and skin. The beef brisket is okay. Noodles are okay. Fresh rolls - 4/5. They use high-quality ingredients for the fillings, which are well wrapped in rice wrappers. I especially love their dipping sauce, a deep, smoky hoisin sauce with peanuts. Golden Delight has an extensive menu selection with many interesting dishes. I would still like to try their Broken Rice, Oxtail Pho, Pho Ribs and Meat Noodles, Grilled Pork, and Nem Vermicelli, etc. Definitely coming back for those. read more
Went with a party of 4 to Golden Delight #2 on a Saturday night after finidng this place through Yelp. The place was full and my group waited about 20 minutes. The way that the restaurant is laid out, the dining area is shaped like a L with a tail that has 2 rows of tables when its no longer in the main dining area. We were put in the very far end which wasn't a big deal. The whole restaurant is lit really well. Because the interior is mostly white, its really noticable when driving on Valley. I and someone in my party ordered the broken rice with items, another person ordered the beef rib pho and the last person got the vermicelli noodles. We also shared eggrolls. The eggrolls were overkill but so tasty. My meal was great and probably one of the best broken rice dishes that I've had. It was also on the pricier end for broken rice dishes. Service was kind of weird. The person who ordered the beef rib pho had their food come to the table 5 minutes after ordering and the last dish came out 20-25 minutes after. We also had a back and forth after the meal. We asked for to go containers when they brought the bill. They then forgot to come back and we had to walk up to the front to ask for the to go container and to pass the bill back. Even though there was spotty service, I still daydream of that broken rice. This is going to be a half-a** review and I just wanted to let the dine in experience sink in a little, by a week or two before I leave a honest opinion. I loved the Pho Broth here. Its different than most places. Their pho broth is uniquely distinguishable from every other pho restaurant and that's saying something. I really liked that they combine the use of a a hot clay pot like Yuanan Rice Noodle Soups, and you just throw everything in. It's creative and keeps the broth hot at all times. Why 4 stars. Kinda pricey for Pho. Food quality, service and decor are all top tier. Just cannot justify the upmarket spend when Pho is supposed to traditionally be a working class family meal. read more
We ordered takeout from Golden Delight #2. It was the first time trying this place so we didn't know what to expect. We got the egg rolls (6 pieces in 1 order) and the grilled pork and nem vermicelli combo, and everything was amazing. First off, everything was packaged so well. It was really neat, secure, and still fresh by the time we opened it. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy, not greasy, and full of flavor. The grilled pork and nem vermicelli had such a great balance. It was savory, sweet, and fresh all at once. It was a little on the pricey side through Uber Eats, but honestly, didn't mind it because we really liked the food. read more

I came to Golden Delight with my partner for some dinner! I've been to the other Golden Delight on Garvey and wanted to see if the quality is on par with the other! They were pretty packed but I got seated within 15 minutes on a Saturday! The service was great! The ambiance was loud since this restaurant was packed! I got the bun thit nuong cha gio (vermicelli with grilled beef and egg roll) and it was delicious!!! The fish sauce wasn't too fishy or salty, which some people aren't used to. In addition, the crunchy peanuts add a nice texture into my meal! Meat was well grilled and tender and the eggroll was great and fried well! I would recommend coming by if you're craving Vietnamese food! TIP: The parking is ample but be wary since this parking lot can be PACKED! I recommend driving near the end since the plaza has two sides for parking! There's two gender neutral restrooms that you can use on the left side of the restaurant! read more
