I was hesitant to order UberEats since my last dine-in experience was just mediocre. However, I couldn't pass up the BOGO pho deals! The Pho Dac Biet ($16.50) for 2 was such an amazing deal! It came with 2 bowls of pho with generous portions of flank, Wagyu, tendon and tripe on top. It also came with 2 tall containers of sizzling hot broth and plenty of fresh veggies (bean sprouts, basil, lemon). The meat was so tender and not too fatty. The pho was soft and plentiful. The broth was so delicious and not too salty. I was surprised my takeout experience for the food was much better than my dine experience. Overall, I definitely taking advantage of this incredible deal and I would definitely reorder the amazing pho!

We were craving Vietnamese food again on Sunday and decided to give Pho N Mor Annex another chance. So glad we did because everything tasted great this time around! I tried the #64 Bun Cha Gio with the BBQ Soy Beef. I really like gluten-based meat alternatives, and even though soy beef is not for everyone, I thought it was awesome. The soy BBQ sauce was super flavorful, totally different from standard nước mắm, and went perfectly with the dish. Plus, the egg rolls were incredibly crispy. My mom got the #50 Bun with BBQ Pork and loved it. The texture and flavor were spot on non chewy and not overly salty. My husband ordered the #44 Com Bi Cha with BBQ Pork Chop rice plate, and the portion was absolutely massive. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I really hope they can keep up this level of quality every time we come back!

The place is right across my BFF's house so I decided to walk across the street and try the place out. I liked it, great service as soon as walking on til the last bite. I had another round of pho and the spring rolls. Lots of options for lunch and dinner. Lots of parking out front.

Our go to for Pho and Vietnamese food for several months running. They have everything I like in Vietnamese food from pho, chicken pho and hainam chicken, bbq meats, shaken beef, dry noodles, broken rice plates, spring rolls, various wraps, egg rolls, and actually much more. Also try the garlic noodles add on for chewy goodness. They offer lots of add-on options and also a fresh noodle option (which already comes with the pho ga). Food quality and portions are top notch. Flavors are well balanced and I never feel like I'm eating unhealthy here. We always get lots of fresh vegetables. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They never nickel and dime you for things like more bean sprouts and sauce. Also check out the lunch specials they introduced not long ago. Biggest bonus is practically getting a free drink and the drinks are really good. Highly recommend the Vietnamese coffee and lychee lemonade.

Picked up an order of pho tai nam to go (#4 on menu). Very generous portions of meat and noodles. Soup wasn't overly salty. Will definitely order from again. Also saw they have a weekday special menu. Will come back to try for sure

Huge lot, parking is easy to find on the week day. $16 appetizer, main AND drink? What a steal! Especially in this economy. Food was delicious. The best part was customer service. They brought a kids bowl, plastic utensils and scissors without me asking. Then when i was leaving, they bought out a new sealed fish sauce and other sauces for my chicken pho for the chicken. Impressed Make this a regular rotation. Price, food quality, and service is on point. Left super full.

My last meal before heading out to the airport. My dad wanted to come here while I was in town so we decided to grab a family dinner here. Food was delicious and hearty we all ordered the Com Ga Hai Nam since my dad recommended it. Overall the chicken was really good and came with the perfect blend of sauce. The rice was well seasoned and you get a side of salad with it which made the meal very balanced. You also get a soup with the rice meal. Service was quick and attentive so no problems there. Restaurant is very big and has a lot of space. There's ample amount of parking in the plaza as well.

[ Food ] I ordered the Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and it was good. I liked how their chicken was not shredded chicken breast, but chopped chicken with the bones. I also liked the sauce it came with, it nicely complemented the chicken with the ginger and fish sauce. [ Service ] I ordered to-go; the customer service at pick up was nice. [ Parking ] They are next to a dim sum restaurant, so parking can get a bit hectic.

On a Saturday at 10:30am in early May, my sister and I came here for early lunch. We were raving for their crispy egg rolls. We got a table and I ordered pho with ribeye and egg rolls. The waitress was solo doing everything. We got a pitcher of water and cups. There was some people eating early like is. The crispy egg rolls was nicely fried and it taste so good. Then my pho arrived in a big bowl. The broth was yummy with lots of thinly slice of ribeye pieces. Overall goo

Pho N Mor Annex has always been a bit hit or miss for me. Some visits are better than others, but one thing I've learned is that you can almost never go wrong with their pho. This time around, of all the visits that could've gone either way, it was actually a hit. The pho broth was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're craving something warm and satisfying. It reminded me why I keep coming back despite the inconsistency. We also ordered rice noodles, and while the meats were tender and well-prepared, the sauce leaned a little too sweet for my taste. It wasn't bad, just slightly overpowering, but the quality of the meats definitely helped balance things out. Overall, this place can be unpredictable, but when it hits, it really hits. And if you're unsure, sticking with the pho is always a safe (and solid) choice.

What an underrated pho spot. I truly hope this place continues living on because i feel like this area is tough to attract customers, as the turnover rate in shops within the plaza is quite high. This place deserves more recognition. I've been here a few times now with my family, each time we all agree that the place is incredibly underrated. The pho here is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, the service is spectacular, and the decor/cleanliness is fantastic. Food is served fresh and hot, I really have no complaints. I usually get the pho tai ($13.50) here and the bowl of pho is HUGE. Great portions (you'll stuff your face). I've also tried the pho ga (chicken pho) that is also very delicious. The cha gio (egg rolls) and banh khot (little seafood crepe pancakes) are delicious, both served with a platter of vegetables to wrap them in. Great shareables for the table! I hope one day they bring chicken wings to the menu, as I'm sure they'll be delicious. The one thing I have not tried is their com tam (rice dishes), but based on trying everything else, I am sure it is delicious. I keep thinking I will try it but end up with the pho. Parking is plentiful, shared with the other shops in the huge plaza lot. Would I come back? Yes--100%. Perhaps they should add a late night menu, I would certainly consider coming for some late night drunchies!

Been coming here weekly for two months now must say this place has become my favorite place for some Vietnamese cuisine. Been going to Golden Deli, Saigon Eden, Saigon noodles in Pasadena, Golden Delight, and Pho Ever and this is the one location to end them all. Pho noodles here are my wife and I's favorite. Perfectly cook always more than enough in every dish you order and some of them they keep offering to refill noodles. My favorite has been the a little bit of everything #1 + an order of oxtail on the side. I'm always beyond full. They have raw and cooked bean sprouts + basil, lime, and peppers. Crispy Pork Egg Rolls - Crispy full of flavor and I never have to ask for more vegetable for my little veggie wraps I enjoy making and dipping. Pho Ga - absolutely the best and their yellow chicken is so incredibly tender and tasty. I never have to worry about sweet ginger sauce as they don't play games and nickel and dime you for extra sauce0. Shaken Beef - sweet, feels like fancy Vietnamese Korean bbq lol. When I don't order Pho this is my goto dish. The item that isn't on the menu yet is being nickname "Dino Rib" was what I ordered today after seeing it on the table next to me. It's a Tomahawk styles Beef Rib where the bone weights near 2 pounds. The best part they offered more noodles and soup. This beef rib had no gamely flavor, tender fall off the bone, nicely marbles with some of the trimmings still present is now my favorite dish here. The colossal amount of meat is just so impressive it will feed me twice. At the current intro price of $28 this is super worth it for the ultra hungry and more than enough to split with another. This is NOT in the menu yet so just request it. I can't rave about this place more. The portions here all all big, their broth isn't ultra salty, they are so generous with all the condiments and side items, heck they even give you a bottle with cold water. Service here is soooooo good everyone here is so friendly. Alan, Elijah, Tuan, Tom, Wang, and the two smiley ladies make ans break the place. Service above the benchmark! What more can you ask for? TLDR: Excellent portions Not cheap with condiments Best Pho noodles Best yellow chicken Excellent drinks Warm and fast service Dino Rib Definitely a highly recommended restaurant in my books and now part of my weekly rotation.

Pho N Mor is a great lunch spot with great prices and convenient parking. We came in on a Saturday and quickly got seated. Inside is very clean and modern. The pho bowl is huge, they do not skimp on the meat. We ordered some appetizers like the eggrolls and banh khot which were really good, I could barely finish the huge pho bowl.

It's simple what they do well here, they make darn good food that tastes like homemade food (healthy and delicious), they price everything on the menu very reasonably (especially in these crazy times), and they treat all their customers like family/neighbors. Now that I've given you the why, let's move on to the good food. We usually order the beef noodle soup because of how tender the meat is and the soup & noodles are just perfect comfort food. And we always pair it with veggies (garlic cucumbers or water spinach) and pork dumplings are also amazing. Almost any of their braised meat rice/noodles are just really good (popular ones are braised pork rice or braised chicken leg rice). Interior space is also very roomy and comfortable for big groups or cozy meals Parking is pretty easy since they have a lot in their back entrance and they used to let you park underground as well but the building's new management started closing the gates at 6pm because they're just sad and unfriendly human beings lol but luckily the surrounding area has many places to park.

I'm able to speak with the owner, who informs me that this restaurant does not use MSG or other ingredients. Everything is fresh and healthy. After tasting the food and the Braised Beef Noodles, I can tell it's really tasty and light, with no harsh components that make you thirsty and want to drink more water. So far, my family and I have really enjoyed the food here. Definitely will return and try other delicious foods next time.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share. But again because I had not eaten much for the last few days, I ended up eating most of it (lol, had not realized how hungry I was until I was eating this). My husband did enjoy this congee too. Beef Stew Noodle Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and thought the soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chew. I also liked this dish and thought it was delicious. My husband finished most of this dish. ------------------------------ (Total= $28.10 after tax, prior to tip) Service was friendly. And because the restaurant is on the small side, it was very easy to get a server's attention if you needed something. The restroom itself had all the basic essentials (running water, toilet paper, paper towels and soap) but wasn't the cleanest. It was decent at best.

I chose to order the Spicy Salt Wings appetizer based on the positive reviews I had seen on Yelp…read more However, I must admit that I did not find the wings to my liking. They lacked both the expected spiciness and the salty flavor. I believe I had anticipated a taste similar to crispy spicy salted pork chops. After just one bite, I decided to take the remainder home with the intention of making them crispier myself. The Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Soup certainly deserve a five-star rating. The dish featured four generously sized shrimp wontons, all amply filled with shrimp. I did sample the noodles, but unfortunately, I was too satiated to fully appreciate them. I am looking forward to returning for the Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Soup.

I came to 101 Noodle Express in Alhambra for a late dinner on a Thursday night. It's located in the…read moresame building as Alhambra Valley Bowl. From the outside, you can't tell the inside has really good space with booths plus tables and chairs, but it does. They weren't super busy at the time... about 5 tables occupied. I was greeted right away by the one server who was working the entire floor. Interior was clean and well lit. Atmosphere was comfortable. Menu has a variety of options... boiled dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, steamed mini buns, stir-fried noodles, regular noodles, rolls & pancakes, side dishes, rice, soup, and beverages. They also have frozen food to-go (just two items... dumplings and dezhou chicken). I got one Steamed Mini Buns (aka Xiao Long Bao), one Stir-Fried Noodles with pork, one Lamb Noodles Soup (with hand torn noodles), and one Jasmine Green Tea with honey. Yes, this seems like a lot of food for one person. I'm not a stranger to bringing food home for another meal. *Steamed Mini Buns - juicy with flavorful pork filling, adequate skin thickness, good size buns *Stir-Fried Noodles with pork - best dish out of the 3, good balance between pork, veggies, and noodles, mild spice level was perfect, portions were reasonable for the price *Lamb Noodles Soup - great amount of lamb and noodles, lamb was tender, noodles were a tad mushy on the edge... they need to be firmer, soup was savory *Jasmine Green Tea with honey - good size cup, tea was a bit bitter, probably needs more honey Food came out steaming hot and timely. Staff and service were wonderful. Yan, the server, was patient and helpful. He did an amazing job working the entire floor by himself. Thank you Yan! Highly recommend this place for their pan-dried and soup noodles. I would come back for more pan-fried noodles and try their pan-fried dumplings. Btw, cash, Zelle, or Venmo payment ONLY for bill total under $50. Bring cash if you don't plan to eat lots.

I have had ones in previous visits that the beef was chewy, not tender. You have a choice of regular noodles or hand torn noodles. Hand torn noodles are more filling since the noodles are much thicker than the regular noodles. They are both good. It is a matter of preference. The minced pork with noodles (aka Jia Jiang mien) is also good. For this visit, I did not order dumplings. But their dumplings are usually good. The service is adequate but don't expect good service.
