Been to many Pho places over the decade out here in the 626 so I think I know a good bowl when I taste one. The broth was perfectly seasoned, hearty, but still refreshing. Sipped it with no add-ons and Imo, You could go without adding any of the extra sauces cause it was that good. They even had their own house chili sauce if you don't wanna use sriracha. The cuts of beef were insanely good. The thin rare steak was pretty tender and the house special had some fatty pieces that were even more tender and very delicious. The meatball pieces were seasoned so well and just added more texture and deliciousness. Paired with the noodles that were served how we felt like was al-dente and at a perfect texture. The serving size, quality, and pricing were congruent. Definitely felt like I got my moneys worth dining here. As far as service. Menus & chopsticks were preset on the table ready to go for incoming guests. The server was quick to take the order and within a few short minutes we were served with what reminded me of some of the best bowls I've enjoyed from various now defunct pho restaurants that I would frequent around in the 626 in the mid 2010s. I had a horrible experience at Pho and More. I ordered the pho with ribs, and the ribs were unbelievably tough and hard. I could barely chew the meat. For something that should be tender and falling off the bone, this was nowhere close. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. I told the guy working there that the ribs were extremely tough, and his only response was basically, "Oh, I'll tell my chef in the back." That was it. No apology, no offer to replace the dish, no offer to bring me something else, and no attempt whatsoever to make it right. You can clearly see from the photo what I was served. When a customer tells you their food is practically inedible, you should at least try to fix the situation. read more

I was craving a hot soup after studying all day and I found this lil gem near USC HSC. It's in Alhambra so there's ample parking. I ordered the pho with rare steak and added meatballs. The soup was piping hot (which I love). It was very flavorful yet clean and packeddd with protein. The rare steak was tender AF! The summer roll was a spring roll with a pork patty and a crispy egg roll wrapper inside. It was sooo yummy and refreshing. They have the fish sauce concoction that is so well known in Vietnamese cuisine on the table and it was the perfect dip for the roll. You can tell they use high quality, fresh ingredients. My daughter yelp this spot and picked our lunch date on a rainy day. Which was the perfect time to get pho. Her go to is the rare steak and my son and I got tofu with mushrooms. My son suggested we order some popcorn shrimp and my daughter suggested the shrimp fried rice. Both were delicious. Parking was tight and we went around 1pm and had to wait outside for a bit after we put our names down. It was fast service after being seated. Their Thai tea was also a good pick. But my spouse and I found the broth to be somewhat lacking in flavor. The noodles in both of our bowls were in one big clump at the bottom of the soup and we had to work to separate them. We got the pha with brisket and wagyu and the cuts of meat were simply not good. They were fatty, gristly, and cut into odd chunks. I ended up fishing the meat out of mine, eating just the noodles and some of the broth. All in all, we were glad we tried a new place. The plate comes with fish sauce and it has four huge lettuce and little vermicelli and pickled carrots/radishes to make a wrap. Pho dac Biet contains typical: steak, well done brisket, tendo and tripe. Tea pot is surprisingly good and it's perfect for the cold weather. They accept both cash and card. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and always recommended it to friends because it used to be my favorite pho spot...after my visit today, I don't think I'll be coming back. While eating, I found something in my broth that looked like a larva or worm, which was extremely concerning and hard to ignore. The waiter who first helped us was very kind and welcoming gentleman who was all by himself on the floor, but when we showed another staff member (the cashier) what was in the bowl, she dismissed it completely, saying she "didn't see anything" with an attitude, and offered no apology -- just 10% off the bill. The lack of accountability and professionalism made the situation even worse. I left feeling disgusted not only by what I found in my food, but also by the way it was handled. I noticed another "Pho N Mor" on Commonwealth in Alhambra besides the new one on Valley Blvd., so I decided to try this location with Mom. This is a good spot located right across from Costco. We waited for about 10 minutes on Sunday at 1 p.m. It was crowded and smaller compared to their other location. My mom ordered #41 eggroll with BBQ bun noodles (rice vermicelli noodles) and I ordered #51 egg loaf with BBQ pork rice plate. Their BBQ pork was marinated well and they were flavorful and tender. However, the egg roll was chewy and not crunchy this time. The egg loaf was mushy and it could be more flavorful. The rice was good. Service was okay and the price was fair. I recently visited Pho n Mor in Alhambra right next to Panera Bread and Mc. Donald's and it was the perfect place to eat some nice hot Pho during a pretty chilly weather. The area is actually quite nice with other places retailers next door and eateries. But I chose this place because of the Hot Soup with noodles. I ordered the #28 Pho w/ BBQ on the side and it was just so out of this world when the noodles and bbq touched my palette. The service was quite efficient and quick and the staffs were very friendly and welcoming to their customers entering and leaving the restaurant. We used to come here all the time when we stopped by Costco as our weekly ritual for pho. The last time we came on a Monday. It didn't seem that busy as there were at least 5 open tables. It took a while for us to get seated. Two servers were in the front. We waited at least 10 minutes for a server to take our order to take our order nobody came. The party before ours already got their food. A server kept checking in with a party that dining in finishing up their meal. And then an third server started attending to a new customer who had a takeout order who had just walked in. By this point, we knew we weren't going to be attended to so we left.
