I ordered takeout and got the spring rolls, vermicelli bowl with charbroiled chicken and a side of grilled beef rolls. Everything tasted good and portions were generous. The restaurant was also very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

Card has a 3.55% transaction fee. Decent pho, interior is pretty modern and great spot to catch up with friends over dinner. Beware floors are extremely slippery, they seemed to be covered in some sort of grease. We visited on a Tuesday night, restaurant was semi full but not too busy. Don't expect service unless you flag down a server for something. Pho Dac Biet -broth is solid, no complaints. Loved that flank steak slices came out slightly raw as it should be, this helps it from being overdone. Pho Filet Mignon -beef was quite tender. Nem Nuong Cuon (grilled pork spring roll)- pork was well seasoned and it was juicy. Flavorful yet refreshing. Nha Trang Sauce was good as well.

I was craving pho and it did not disappoint! The pho broth is very clean, balanced, and tasted great. It was served super hot and every meat was cooked perfectly - I did the custom with brisket, tendon, and flank. Meat quality was really good and they don't skimp. Service was quick and efficient and I enjoyed talking to the guys at the register. Clean restaurant. We parked on the street and it was very easy. Will definitely be back to fulfill my pho craving!

My go to spot in Alhambra for pho is Pho Saigon Pasteur. They have a clean and healthy tasting broth and there is usually no wait whenever I go. Service is fast and I am in and out within 30 minutes. My go to ordered it the pho dac biet which has an assortment of meats. Pho dac biet has flank, brisket, beef ball, tendon and tripe. The soup is clear and not very oily. It has full of beef flavor and other aromatics. The noodles are cooked perfectly and the meat is tender while the tendon and tripe is soft and crunchy. The bowl is full of flavor that you don't need any hoisin or siracha to add any flavor. The vermicelli with grilled pork sausage and egg roll is my other go to order. The nem nuong is sweet and flavorful. It has a nice char and the meat is flattened. The egg rolls are filled with meat and super crispy. The fish sauce is not too sweet and full of umami flavors. Each noodle dish is about $15 so it is very affordable as it comes in a big bowl. Parking is residential or they have a lot in the back.

UPDATING REVIEW TO GIVE STAFF FLOWERS! Not only is the pho delicious here but the entire staff are so nice and welcoming! The server guys were attentive (even when they forget your drink order lol) and the lady and man who's behind the counter is sweet treating us like old friends. They even gave my kids gummy bears after our meal! Definitely give them a try if you got kiddos.

Heard that they are pretty good so stopped by to try. I was walking around downtown Alhambra so parked a bit far. They are pretty nice with some outdoor seating. I had lunch during the weekend. They were a bit busy. The pho took longer than expected to come. So I munched on the fresh mung bean and ate a bunch of it even before the pho arrived. They probably were too busy and forgot I ordered the extra onion. I ordered a diet biet pho and they noticed that they forgot the meatball and gave it to me in a separate bowl with soup. The pho was good. I would like additional noodles tho so ordered more on the side. The extra noodles also came with soup. I saw that they would charge extra for getting additional soup. It is a good option around north Alhambra for Pho.

Came here for dinner. We got Pho Dac Biet and the create your own pho option where we chose 3 types of meat. The soup was hot and flavorful. Good portion of pho noodles. The meats were tender, juicy, and fresh. We also ordered the eggrolls which normally only come with 1 leaf of lettuce but we asked for a few more so that we could each wrap our eggrolls. The eggrolls were crispy and the meat filling was good. But only comes with 4 pieces. Iced water tasted great, like good quality filtered water. Great service. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Still has complimentary ground floor parking garage in the back.

Mostly get pho as hangover cure, but heard good things about this place. The broth is close to the ideal and they are generous with the meat/tripe portions. They have a little outdoor area which is nice to people watch as it's the most lively in Alhambra lol. Service is fast as well. A bit annoying that this place is one of those cash-discount restaurants, but I guess some might like having that option. Most importantly they have chili paste and not just Sriracha which is too sweet for me when it comes to pho. Will be back.

We ordered take out from here. We ordered the special combination beef pho. It came with the typical beef, bean sprouts, basil and lime. The broth was flavorful. They were very busy that day. It took longer than usual to get our food. But the staff were friendly and helpful. The interior is not very big. Seating is limited. There is a small outdoor seating area with five tables. There is parking in the back of the restaurant, which is convenient. My reservation about this restaurant is that they have a health score of "C". I hope they can boost that score up.

This is one of my favorite pho spots! Food: Whenever I come, I order the pho & ribeye. It comes out "Shabu" style and I love it! It's pretty fun to cook your beef slices on a mini pot. The soup tastes so flavorful afterwards. The broth is hot and delicious. The noodles are cooked perfectly. If I'm not eating pho in Orange County, I am here! Service: Reliable and quick service typically! No complaints here. Parking: There's street parking but there's also a free parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Overall: 5/5; This is a staple for me! I tend to come back here every so often whenever I have a craving for pho. It's not super big or decorated per say, but it gets the job done in providing you with a nicely cooked bowl of pho.

The pho filet mignon was super tender and flavorful, and the booth has the rich filet mignon favor. The special beef combination pho had a rich, comforting broth with generous portions. We also tried the special combination rice, which was just as satisfying. It was packed with variety. It had shrimps, sausage, chicken, and beef. Good price and good food.

Currently my favorite pho in LA! Put my name down and waited about 15min to get a table. If willing to sit outside you can get seated immediately. I ordered the pho with beef ribs. They give you three large beef ribs all for about $14. The broth is pure and filled with flavor. Beef ribs were tender and juicy. Got to put sriracha in your broth to add that kick. Nice, clean restaurant with good service. Great pho in Alhambra!

Pho Saigon Pasteur in Alhambra is such a gem. The pho broth was deeply flavorful and aromatic with that rich, slow simmered depth you look for in a truly good bowl. The noodles had the perfect texture, the meats were tender, and the fresh herbs brought everything together beautifully. The portions were generous and everything came out hot and quickly. The atmosphere felt casual and authentic, making it the kind of spot you can return to again and again. If you are looking for quality pho in Alhambra, this place absolutely delivers. Will definitely be back.

Do they show on menu if anything can be served gluten free? I'm celiac and soy sauce is often hard to avoid in marinating meat, etc.

I'm Gluten intolerant and look for Gluten Free options, however, I didn't see anything on the menu that reflected GF unfortunately

Are there vegetarian options on the menu (e.g. vegetable broth, etc.)?

    Do they have outdoor dining?

Yes, they have outdoor seating now.

The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. We started with the rice cakes and pork spring rolls. The rice cakes were soft and delicate, while the spring rolls were packed with fresh vegetables and had a nice balance of textures. The Vietnamese crepe was one of my favorite dishes. The crepe itself was crispy and filled with bean sprouts, shrimp, and pork, creating a flavorful bite with plenty of crunch and freshness. The broken rice plate was another standout. The sweet and savory fish sauce soaked into the rice perfectly, and the assortment of meats was well-seasoned and flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was fresh and satisfying, featuring aromatic lemongrass pork that was beautifully charred. The pho was the highlight of the meal. The broth was rich, fragrant, and full of beef flavor. The noodles maintained a great texture, and the meats were tender. The fall-off-the-bone beef rib was especially impressive and made the bowl feel extra hearty. To finish the meal, they even provided complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. When we visited this weekend, there was a table with 3 ladies speaking quite loudly and proudly that they were influencers. They had ordered a huge spread across two tables for 3. Needless to say, there were a lot of take out boxes. I don't care for the social media hype. I care about the food and service. Service today was fine. There were several staff members around and it was easy to flag them down whenever we needed something. They also did come around the table occasionally to check on us. Food is where it fell flat. Overall, the food ate heavy and greasy. This is rare since Vietnamese food is often known for it's freshness and healthiness with all the veggies etc. We ordered a pork chop over broken rice with shrimp paste in soy paper. The rice was perfect broken rice, the pork was perfectly seasoned and fried nicely, has some nice lean bites and fatty bites. The problem was with the shrimp paste. It tasted stale and old and hard. It was off putting and really needed the nouc cham to help masks it. Second dish was what I usually order at all Vietnamese restaurants. Grilled pork with vermicelli. The one we got included 2 fried spring rolls (or ja yo). The spring rolls were good, I enjoyed them! The pork was a bit dry. Vermicelli was fine. Veggie mix only had romaine, cucumber, and bean sprouts. No basil or mints. The nouc cham was too bland to fix this dish. We needed more acid. There were too many raw garlic in the sauce that it gave us heartburn. The best thing we had was my ice tea. Simple jasmine tea was nice and thick, not watered down. Very refreshing and comes with refills. They have been here for a long time, and I want them to do well but I can understand why business has been slow of there are way better options out there right now.

This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

Worth the Parking Struggle!…read more The only downside to trying this new spot? The parking! We thought Summer Rolls in Temple City had a rough parking situation... this one somehow topped it! Around 7 PM, the plaza was absolutely packed with so many cute restaurants, so we ended up parking on the street. Thankfully, dinner made the extra walk completely worth it. We're huge Summer Rolls fans, so I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, and tonight was finally the night! #36 Charbroiled Pork Shoulder with Shrimp Cake & Shredded Pork $16.50 Rating: 9/10 Let me tell you... the char on this pork was phenomenal! It had that beautiful smoky flavor that only comes from perfectly grilled meat. Huge kudos to the chef because this was honestly one of the best charbroiled pork dishes I've had. Not too much fat in it, so it was perfect. But can we also take a moment to appreciate the broken rice? I'm usually not the biggest rice dish person because most places simply serve regular steamed rice... but this broken rice? It could honestly un-break a broken heart. It was light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. It paired so perfectly with that smoky pork that I found myself finishing every last grain without even realizing it. And one more thing... BEWARE of the spicy sauté sauce! I repeat... do NOT scoop a giant spoonful onto your rice or your Bún Bò Huế like I confidently did with my 2 spoonfuls of rice since we were sharing! That thing has some serious kick! But once my taste buds recovered... wow, it hit HARD in the best way possible. It added so much depth and flavor that I kept going back for more. I've honestly never had a Vietnamese spot with a spicy sauté sauce quite like this, and it definitely hit the spot! Although it isn't your traditional cơm tấm loaded with all the usual sides, this restaurant puts a more modern spin on the dish. There may be fewer components on the plate, but every bite was packed with flavor. I'd honestly rank their charbroiled pork even above Summer Rolls, and that's saying a lot! #5 Nem Spring Rolls $14.00 Rating: 9.5/10 If you're coming here and skipping these... you're doing yourself a disservice! The spring rolls and their crack sauce are still every bit as amazing as I remember. I've been eating at the original Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa across from Rosemead High School since 2009, and it honestly makes me so happy that this family-owned business has kept the same incredible recipe all these years. Over 20 years later, they've truly mastered it, carrying the recipe into Summer Rolls & now Nem. Love this family dynamic secret. I even met the owner, Mai, during our visit. We both looked at each other and laughed because we thought the other looked familiar. Maybe it's because I've been coming to the original location since my high school days! She was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. As much as Summer Rolls has been our go-to these past few years... I think they're going to have to share the spotlight now. We'll definitely be coming back because my mission is officially to work my way through this entire menu! The service was warm and friendly, the restaurant is modern, beautiful, and spotless, and overall this was such a wonderful experience. Happy eats!
