It's been a few years since I last visited so I was expecting it to be as amazing as it was when I last went but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. It's open daily 10am-9pm Parking is ok since they have a parking structure and street parking Service was ok and could have been better if they were more attentive. Inside was pretty small but they offer inside and outside seating. Menu had a good variety of dishes and prices were reasonably priced. Got the Special Beef Combo Noodle ($14.50) and it consisted of eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball. The broth tasted very light and not too greasy or salty so that was enjoyable. The quality of the meat was very dry and wasn't tender so that was very disappointing. The portion of meat and noodles given wasn't plentiful so that was a bummer. The basil, bean sprouts, and lemon were decent and so were the complimentary sauces. My go to spot in Alhambra for pho is Pho Saigon Pasteur. They have a clean and healthy tasting broth and there is usually no wait whenever I go. Service is fast and I am in and out within 30 minutes. My go to ordered it the pho dac biet which has an assortment of meats. Pho dac biet has flank, brisket, beef ball, tendon and tripe. The soup is clear and not very oily. It has full of beef flavor and other aromatics. The noodles are cooked perfectly and the meat is tender while the tendon and tripe is soft and crunchy. The bowl is full of flavor that you don't need any hoisin or siracha to add any flavor. The vermicelli with grilled pork sausage and egg roll is my other go to order. The nem nuong is sweet and flavorful. It has a nice char and the meat is flattened. The egg rolls are filled with meat and super crispy. The fish sauce is not too sweet and full of umami flavors. They were a bit busy. The pho took longer than expected to come. So I munched on the fresh mung bean and ate a bunch of it even before the pho arrived. They probably were too busy and forgot I ordered the extra onion. I ordered a diet biet pho and they noticed that they forgot the meatball and gave it to me in a separate bowl with soup. The pho was good. I would like additional noodles tho so ordered more on the side. The extra noodles also came with soup. I saw that they would charge extra for getting additional soup. You CANNOT run a business with just 2 waiters on a SATURDAY LUNCH RUSH in a restaurant where you have more than 12 tables and 8 different parties waiting outside. U cant. Something is going to fail, if it hasnt already. We waited 35 minutes for a table, which, I was expecting, bit after we were seated, we waited another 25 minutes to even get our orders taken. On this part I give them 2/10. The food was good. I have to admit that what we ordered was pretty good (some noodles and a beef pho). But I also ordeed a pho to go, and instead of separating the RAW MEAT into a smaller container, they just DUMPED the RAW MEAT into the noodles, which obviously got coated with blood and when I opened the container almost threw up. Im not being dramatic. It looked HORRIBLE and so disgusting I had to toss this. I wasted $18+ on a soup I didnt even try. That specific part, I wont even rate it was that bad, but the food we consumed at the restaurant was 8/10. Ohhh and before I forget, we spent 20 minutes WAITING just to get a check and another 15 to pay. Decided to check out another Vietnamese restaurant in the area, and there are quite a few so the competition is tough. So I would have to say the main selling point of this place is interior. It's very nice and modern and has a very nice wood home feel. It used to be a coffee shop here so it just has the same coffee shop vibe. The food here is pretty disappointing. They do have this interesting item that I saw people have which is like a hot pot kind of thing with a live fire. I ordered a vermicelli with grilled pork and for the price, the portion is way too small. After eating it, I was still hungry and I could probably eat two. The grilled pork was way too sweet. It was like sweeter than some candy. I didn't like it at all. For the price they charge, most places would give you like 3 items like 2 egg roll, shrimp paste, and grilled pork but here it's just two items and the egg roll is just one. My co-worker ordered a pho and for the price, it's considered like a large pho for most places but the size is really really small. The bowl is really tall but narrow so there really isn't much food in it. Parking for this place isn't too bad because there is a parking structure attached. There is a weird rule of head in only parking though, but I don't know how hard it's enforced. Overall, food portion is too small and the meat is too sweet. Price is too high for what it is. They also charge a fee for using a credit card regardless of how much you spend. It's not waived. The only thing that this place has going for it is just the interior design. read more

Everything here is really good. It's not the best I've had but all still yummy. I've tried the Pho Ga (Chicken) and they let you choose dark or white meat. I chose dark meat and it was still pretty tender. It comes with the flat wider style rice noodle and is served with the beef pho broth.
