    Steamed veggie dumplings
    Selene S.

Returned with the family for dinner on a Friday night. The plaza was still pretty busy but parking was okay. We joined the waitlist using the tablet outside. It was about 15min wait time. Inside, they had the AC pretty high so it was kind of cold. You order yourself using their tablet already on the tablet. Servers are quick, providing good service. We ordered several dishes: -wagyu beef burger ($15.98): only 2 halves but very juicy and tender beef (5/5) -beef wrap ($12.98): comes with 4 pieces and filled with lots of beef, not greasy with crispy outside (5/5) -soup dumplings ($15.98-$17.98): price ranges depend on the filling with lots of soup inside (5/5) -XO sauce stir fried green beans ($14.98): decent portion but nothing spectacular (3/5) -steamed vegetable dumplings ($0.99): was part of their Mother's Day special. Decent dumplings with black fungus and glass noodles inside (3/5) -braised beef noodles ($16.98): decent portion with chewy thin noodles and a few pieces of beef (3/5) Overall, this place is still pricey for the portions but pretty yummy for those special occasions.

THIS PLACE WAS SOOOOO BUSSSIN. The beef noodle soup was actually out of the world. The soup dumplings were also filling and the broth was comforting. The spicy wontons were just the right amount of spice and very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I loved how intimate the interior was; casual and open.

Heard about how popular this place is so came with parents for mother's day weekend for dinner. There was already a line outside at 6:30pm and they have a tablet outside to add yourself to the waitlist, which is very convenient. And they have some chairs for people waiting. The wait wasn't too bad, around 25 minutes or so and they text you when the table is ready. They have a very nice interior design and not that many tables inside, but they do a good job of serving food fast so the wait times aren't bad despite the small space. There is a ipad at your table once seated so you can directly send your order to the kitchen instead waiting for the waiter. We got the Wagyu Beef Chinese Burger, Kurobuta Pork and Crab Meat Soup Dumplings, Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings, Stir Fried Noodles w Angus Beef, Dry Pot Cauliflower, and Sweet and Sour Kurobuta Pork Ribs. The waiters here were friendly and attentive, giving extra napkins and refilling our water cups often. The food was served in like ten minutes which is fast. I liked the Wagyu Chinese burger the most since the beef is stir fried very well and seasoned very flavorfully. It is just pricey for the size. The soup dumplings were all pretty good with good meat quality and dumpling skin. Each soup dumpling order only comes with 8 which isn't too bad for the price. The cauliflower and stir fried noodles were both pretty good too, very flavorful. The porb ribs were just average though and pricey for only 8 pieces that are not very big. The flakey beef rolls are also very good. Comes with four per order and the meat quality and skin was just perfect. Overall, this is a pretty good spot for soup dumplings and noodles, and I highly recommend the Wagyu Chinese burger. The portions are a bit small for the price but the food quality is good. I can see why there is always a line outside. Their service is also great and fast. I liked how they help pack your leftovers to-go for you. Will come back again!

When I pass by this restaurant, it's always packed and I didn't want to wait. Today I was able to stop by right when they open at 10:30am. We were seated right away for a party of 2. We ordered: Kurobuta pork soup dumplings (8) XO sauce stir-fried green beans Sichuan dan dan noodles We finished almost everything and took the rest to go. Attentive service. Staffs are friendly. I was able to place the order with the tablet and it was easy to use. One thing I noticed was that another party sat behind my booth and every time that customer moves around, I felt the seat moving too. I guess the seats are connected or something. I was just eating and suddenly I'm bouncing a few times. What an interesting experience. Parking at this plaza is hard to find especially if you come during rush hours.

Stopped by here to have a family dinner. Wait was relatively long due to the long Memorial Day weekend, but well worth the wait. Restaurant did feel slightly cold, but nothing unable. Food was just as good the first time I tried it. They have since upgraded ordering process to iPads rather than a paper form. Food all came out less than 15 minutes. We opted for their Spicy Pork Wontons, Pork/Shrimp/Egg/Chive Dumplings, Pork Soup Dumpling, Clear Broth Beef Noodle Soup, Beef Stir Fried Noodles, and Flaky Beef Flap. Everything was good, but the true stars of the meal were certainly the beef noodles and soup dumplings. The soup dumplings, especially, was literally bursting with flavor. Overall, this experience has been certainly redeemable for the restaurant. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the SGV!

Make sure to get on the waitlist early. There's always a line! I love the Wagyu burger here -- it is a standout and a must have! Everything else ranges from good to great. I recommend the Wagyu burgers, dandan noodles, green beans, and xlb. Burger is large so I split it in order to be able to share other dishes, but it's so delicious I always think about eating a whole one... Overall I'd say it's better than DTF, but idk if that statement weighs much since I'm not a fan of DTF to begin with.

Been seeing so much hype around this restaurant so had to give it a try. Went on a weekday evening and it wasn't as busy. There was plenty of parking as it shares the same plaza with Golden Delight and 888 Seafood. Good Alley serves a fusion of North-East Chinese/Shanghai dishes, primarily focusing on common favorites: XLB, noodles, simple stir fry dishes, cold dishes. Overall, this place is good but nothing special compared to all the restaurants with this theme. The taste profile outside of their signature dishes is basic and their prices for common ordered items are quite high. For example the $12 pork burger, which is insane for what it is worth. Food Pork XLB - the XLB was pretty good overall, pork soup had good flavor, but the top pinch of the soup dumpling was too thick . Hot & Sour Soup - on the light side, wasn't hot (pepper) or that sour. Beef Noodle in Clear Soup - the soup was the star, clean and beefy. Beef was tender and had good portion size. Noodles well overcooked and lost its bounce. Angus Beef Stir Fry Noodles - overall flavor profile is good, noodles doneness cooked perfectly. Pork Burger - crispy Muo bread, good amount of pork stuffing with some crunchiness from the peppers. Beef Rib - this was the dish that brought it up to 4 stars. Beef rib was perfectly cooked, seasoned perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Service was very efficiently and professional, everyone seemed friendly. Host greeted and seated promptly, waters/beverages followed almost immediately. Empty dishes were taken immediately after completion and they packed our leftovers for us. The overall interior is modern and has a little bit of an upscale vibe, seems to be the trend with these new stores serving similar restaurant concepts.

My real rating is 4.5 stars, but I am feeling generous since I really do like Good Alley in Rosemead, CA. It's located in a strip mall right between Chatramue and Golden Delight, so there's plenty of free parking. They are known for Northern Chinese cuisine, specifically the Kaifeng-style food. Some of their most popular items include the following: -The Guan Tang Bao, which is like the larger, heartier versions of a Xiao Long Bao. -A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Burger, this was so good with premium wagyu. -Sichuan Dan Dan Mein, which is so good and nutty, just the way I like lolol. It's from the same team as Ji Rong Peking Duck, literally right next door. Also, they have boba and other good drinks that you can order at the front. So overall, I definitely recommend this place if you're in the SGV. Plus, it's also aesthetic and clean, which always helps.

Good Alley never disappoints! I went in one night hoping to get some skewers but found out it's no longer on the menu (they were so good, i will miss them). However, they added new specialty dishes, one of them being black pepper lobster with e fu noodles which looked fantastic so we tried it. So delicious, seasoned perfectly and the noodles were also flavorful with perfect texture. Very generous serving size as well, enough to feed four. Pictures really don't do it justice! We also got the mango cheese vanilla ice, which was also amazing (i got it twice) It's mango puree with vanilla ice cream and topped with cheese foam. Service was impeccable as usual, very prompt and so kind!

Everyone I've talked to has recommended that I come and try Good Alley, so I came here two days in a row. Here's a tip: come around 3-4pm and there isn't a wait, otherwise there is a long line. Everything I ate was between 2 days. The service was good here since they brought out our waters right away and after ordering our dishes on the tablet, our food came out within minutes. These are the dishes I've tried: -braised beef noodle soup ( soup had tons of flavor, meat was tender) -dumplings with chili oil (had a numbing spicy flavor) -stir fried pea shoots ( tender and flavorful) -pork soup dumplings (excellent) -pork and shrimp soup dumplings ( excellent) -beef Chinese burger ( crispy on the outside ) -flaky beef wrap ( crunchy with tons if meat) -zhajiang noodles with beef ( numbing spicy) -beef fried rice ( fluffy rice) -stir fried noodles with beef Overall, I feel Good Alley is the best Taiwanese restaurant I've been to in the SGV. It is definitely comparable to DTF. I recommend you give it a try if you haven't yet. The soup dumplings are a flavor bomb in your mouth!

Good Alley has been in my food rotation recently (: There's so much to love about this place. The staff is always friendly and attentive. You hardly have to fight for their attention because the workers are always walking around making sure everyone has enough water and napkins which I appreciate so much. You order on a IPad which has really nice pictures of the items they offer. Today while waiting in line one of the staff came out and offered a sample of one of their drinks. I thought that was a nice touch since there was quite a lot of people waiting outside and i wanted to try that specific drink before. It was their golden choco sticky rice mochi slushi. It was interesting and delicious. A little sweet treat (: The items we keep coming back for are ~ 1. Xi'an cold noodles 2. Kurobata pork, shrimp, and cucumber dumplings (soup filled dumplings) - pretty interesting + refreshing with cucumbers but it works well! 3. Flaky beef wrap - lots of beef in the beef roll - Wrap is not too thin, not too thick 4. Spicy wontons - right amount of citrusy flavor 5. Sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce AND our most FAVORITE is !! Cauliflower and pork belly drypot - lots of cauliflower and the pork belly has a barbecue burnt taste in a good way This is a great place to come with a group, order a bunch of things and eat until your hearts content. See you next time good alley ‍

I've heard good things about this Chinese cafe for a while now and specifically their wagyu beef rou jia mo or 'Chinese Burger', which I really been wanting to try. When I saw it was on their menu as part Dine LA week in early 2026, I felt like it was a no-brainer visit for me personally. So I don't sound reductive, I want to point out that this restaurant has a pretty good menu of other classics along with dumplings and noodles as well as family style dishes. When dining there, I noticed there were some groups and families enjoying and sharing said dishes. For the early 2026 Dine LA menu, I chose the: - Black truffle kale with sautéed mushroom - Xi'an cold noodles - A5 Miyazaki Wagyu beef Chinese burger - And a hand muddled lemon tea to wash it all down I really enjoyed how the menu was constructed and it gave me a taste of a lot of different things from the restaurant. Especially since I really wanted to try that burger. All the food was delicious with great flavors and textures. Everything lived up to what I was hoping for. Such a wonderful meal. I really hope to come back and try a lot of different things on the menu with friends.

01/30/26 Friday Came around 6:45 PM and we were able to be seated with a party of 8. Every other table was filled so it was quite busy but no line, luckily. My partner and I l ordered the DineLA menu + 2 additional dishes. It was a lot for the two of us. We brought a lot of leftovers home. 9/10 Chinese Beef Burger - crispy and delicious beef but kind of small portion. 6/10 Beef slice + Ox tongue: spicy mala. Didn't realize it was a cold dish. Beef slices were tender but a bit dry. Tongue was kind of tough. Pretty decent portion size, especially for a meat dish. 7/10 Beef Roll: kind of sweet, not crunchy, tender meat. 7/10 Xi A Noodles: It is basically PB Sesame with chili oil sauce over wide rice or starch noodles . Very spicy though. It kind of overpowers the dish. I like how the noodles were very refreshing and springy. The cucumbers and beansprouts were refreshing too. Tofu bits were a good addition as well. 6/10 Scallion noodles - sauce too sweet but beef good. Too saucy so it was overwhelming. Noodles bouncy. Confusing because it fell under the "Soup and Cold Noodles" category so we assumed it was soup. We should've asked. Beef bits were the same ones as the ones in the burger so it was delicious. But again, the sauce really wasn't for us. 10/10 Silly tea is milk tea. We got golden oolong less sweet. Tasty. Wish we got hot but I forgot to inform the server. 10/10 Service - Helpful and prompt servers. Modern ambiance. Overall, the dishes we ordered just weren't our cup of tea. I think if we ever came back, we'd want to order more of their signature dishes to give this place a more fair chance. Bathrooms are co-Ed and there are 2.

My crew and I went on a Friday night, and even though it was very busy, we were seated fairly quickly. There were four of us, and here's what we ordered: chicken fried rice, Shanghai-style chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, and juicy pork dumplings. Chicken Fried Rice: It was soft and pillowy with great flavor, though I felt it could have used a bit more color. It looked a little pale, but it was still delicious. Shanghai-Style Chow Mein: This was perfect. The flavor was spot on, the sauce was well-balanced, and the noodles had the ideal texture. The ratio of noodles, vegetables, and meat was just right. Sweet and Sour Chicken: This was the highlight for me. My only regret is not ordering more to take home. The chicken was crispy without being overdone, and it was coated in that delicious sweet and sour sauce. Juicy Pork Dumplings: We were at a dumpling house, so we had to order dumplings. These did not disappoint. They were very flavorful, and the broth inside was rich and satisfying. We originally planned to order more dishes, but the portions were generous, and we ended up with just the right amount to leave satisfied. Overall, this place lives up to the hype. I can't wait to come back and try more.

my friend and i stopped by here for lunch…read more - the inside was nice and we got seated right away - we got the chive & pork dumplings and the spicy wontons (w/ pork & shrimp). the dumplings (4.3/5) was yummy and flavorful, our favorite out of the two dishes. the spicy wontons (4.1/5) weren't that spicy but it was also flavorful with the shrimp and pork combo. we did use the spicy sauce from the wontons as a dip for our dumplings and it made it taste yummier. - although the food was yummy, the service was slow. it took a while for them to not only ask for our orders but it took a long time (~30 minutes) for our food to come out. the table that ordered after us got their food before us and they had a bigger party...the servers that were cleaning the tables even looked over at our table and saw that we didn't get our food yet. we got our wontons first and then ~10 minutes got our wontons which made the overall service very slow. overall, this was a decent place to try out during lunchtime.

Three Toppings Spicy Noodles: The bowl is so massive with so much going on inside. The wide, belt-like, biang biang noodles are expertly hand-pulled and they glisten in a spicy chili oil sauce. There are so many textures and flavors from its tender pork belly cubes, potato cubes, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, and tomato and eggs. The Zhajiangmian is good although you can get better bowls in the SGV. The noodles are thick and tender like their other hand-pulled noodles. The minced pork, cubed potatoes, and julienned cucumbers coat the noodles in a dark savory, and sweet sauce. Dining Area: The dining room is large with over a dozen tables. Parking: The long strip mall has a lot with many spots.

I tend to eat on the slow side but this sizeable bowl was slurped down quickstyles. They are know for their Bún Bò Huế. So had to give them a try. Honestly I haven't had the delicious red soup in a while but its probably the best I ever had. Service is great foods delicious and the ambiance typical mom and pop spot, feels like an asian household which is also warming inside. Clean also I always like to add. Parking on street and the backside. This yummy soup so tasty but overwhelming with salt. has levels of flavor and obviously cooked for hours on end. Alot of meat also. My wife got the pho and also bomb diggity, there was spots of yellow floating on the soup which meant.... flavor. Springrolls also delicious, pretty big 2 for $7.00 wish there was another but killed everything anyways. The Bún Bò Huế is sometimes slept on and this place makes it the best in the area!!
