Really good food. Almost like home cooking. The XLB has the thin skin and flavorful soup inside. The green beans is always a hit when its cooked correctly. Good amount of seasoning and not over powering. The sticky ribs and the prime rib was my friends favorite. The prime rib has a rub seasoning on it and the meat was tender and good. Everything you order is on the ipad, therefore you can take your time and also just discuss what you want to eat. Once you are done deciding, press send and your food will be brought to the table for you as soon as it is done. Honestly, not super impressed with the food / flavors. I definitely expected more but I was hungry so this was sufficient enough. My favorite was the Pork Burger which surprised me because I thought lamb would be better, but I think I'm not too big of a fan of the cumin rub. Our food hit the table quickly after ordering. The sleeper hit was the Scallion Oil Noodles. The rich sesame oil accented the springy noodles, and I never felt myself wanting for meat. I am so late to the party. FINALLY got the opportunity to check out Good Alley even though it's practically around the corner from me. My partner and I arrived a little before 6pm on a Sunday and we were already 10th in line. Luckily for us, we didn't wait more than 20 minutes until our table was ready. Immediately, the ambiance was stunning and modern. There was a projector playing a DJ video with r&b hits so the vibes were there. We ordered everything on a tablet which was easy to navigate. The Dress by Dijon was playing in the background which I thought was meant to be (slight pivot: saw him sing this live at Coachella, amazing!). Anyway, back to food. We ordered the bestsellers: pork XLB, wagyu burger, dan dan noodles, and wagyu fried rice. My partner got the Uji matcha mochi drink which was so delicious with perfect sweetness. Food came out not too long after, portions bigger than I expected. It's no surprise why the XLB and wagyu burger are the bestsellers. DTF, move over lol the dan dan noodles were the best I've had. I went right when they opened and there was still a line. I met my cousin for brunch and we luckily got a seat after they opened. Everything was really good! Apparently Good Alley was recently added to the California Michelin Guide in 2026 (no Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient but just listed in the guide & now the restaurant appears when you search for it in the Michelin app). It is interesting that the sister restaurant, Jirong Roast Duck Restaurant, is not listed in the Michelin Guide. A few key notes: * It looks like the restaurant is getting more customers now as our party waited 15+ minutes even on a regular weekday evening. * No free samples were offered during our weekday dinner visit. * Now each table has a tablet and customers can place orders directly via the tablet. Please note that the tablet only allows customers to place orders and customers will still need to flag down a staff member to request the check. * Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings (aka XLB) continue to be an S-tier item to order here. In fact I think they are some of the best XLBs I have had in Los Angeles and Orange County. Perfect dough texture and on-point flavorful broth. * For Chinese Burger, stick with the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Beef instead of the Kurobuta Pork as the beef provides a better texture & the pork tastes slightly greasy. * Stir-Fried Noodles with Angus Beef Brisket had a similar flavor profile to stir-fried chow fun but with a different type of noodle. Good Alley has been a hit since it opened. Each time I go back, I rediscover how consistently delicious it is. There is intention in the preparation process and it translates to the food you're served. My all time favorite has been their cold noodles. Ambiance is clean modern and comfy. The user experience of ordering food is extremely streamline with the ipad and very well done user interface. I haven't seen a menu this well designed with pictures for almost all their dishes. Noodles and Soup dumplings are amazing here. I would skip on the green string beans. they have a defrosted flavor that frozen vegetables have. I think a bit more seasoning and fresher string beans would make the dish better. read more

We were in the mood for noodles and dumplings so choosing this place made sense. They were pretty packed but the wait time goes quickly. Once you're seated they have a kiosk you can order from. Plenty of variety from noodles to dumplings, to entree dishes. They did have some vegan and vegetarian options as well. Service is fast and they had some really good iced teas. Their peach is the popular one. Such yummy soup dumplings! It's filled with a bunch of broth so be careful when you bite! The green beans had a nice crunch and were cooked perfectly with tons of garlic. The beef ribs were seasoned with cumin which I found a bit overwhelming but it was good. The wait was about 30 minutes but the service is quick and food comes out fast. Parking can be a bit difficult so I would recommend trying to find street parking rather than going into the lot. read more

Everything I got was really good. I ordered: -crab and pork soup dumplings -beef noodle soup -a5 sandwich -a5 fried rice -choco dumpling -jasmine tea I liked every single thing. Flavor was good and solid portions. Service was excellent. Gave us fresh plates for dessert and packaged up our leftovers. Overall I would come back for sure and highly recommend to anyone read more
