Although this is not like the other Noodle St locations when it comes to seating/restaurant vibes, it services quite the same. With a open area where you can see all the passersby while you're dining in. My go to here is always their signature beef noodle soup. What I love is their consistency. Always not too salty but just the perfect amount of flavoring. Portions are generous as well which is always a plus. You get to customize your noodle style to your preference. My go to is always knife cut or standard, can't go wrong with either depending on what you like. Service is great, staff is quick, smooth, and very friendly. I passed by this Noodle place and saw a fridge outside with giant macaron ice cream, it was staring at me, so I gave in and bought one, The taste was so good full if coffee flavor and the crust was still crispy! I used to stop by this place whenever I went shopping. I always ordered the beef roll, pancake, and watermelon juice. They are not the best, but they are convenient, easy to carry around the mall, and enough to fill you up when you forget to eat. Unfortunately, my experience with one particular server has really changed my impression of this place. He is an Asian man who is tall and slim and wears glasses. This was not the first time I had dealt with him. On previous visits, he also had an attitude and never really made any basic effort to communicate with customers. He rarely says thank you or even gives a simple acknowledgment when taking or handing out an order. I usually just ignored it, but last Sunday was the point where I had enough. I came in to order to go, and there was a mom next to me who only wanted to order a juice for her daughter. I was trying to let her go first, but this server suddenly yelled, "What do you want?" It was such an awkward and unnecessary way to speak to a customer. The mom even said it was okay and told me she could wait. He took my order and handed me the receipt without saying anything. About 15 minutes later, I came back to pick up my food. He basically slammed the order on the counter and walked away. I still left a tip because I know the tips are shared among the staff, not just him. I was with my mom that day, so I chose not to argue and just let it go. But honestly, this experience really stayed with me. Everyone can have a bad day, but when the same attitude happens repeatedly, it becomes a customer service issue. The food may be convenient, but basic courtesy and communication should not be too much to expect. I won't be coming back, but I hope the management takes this seriously. read more

My go to dish is the spicy beef with knife cut noodles. The flavor is bold with a nice kick. Pretty good overall for mall food! I know they have other locations but this was my first time trying Noodle St in general. We got the signature beef noodle soup with standard round noodles, and the chicken noodle soup with triangle noodles. The broths were light, clean, and not overly salty, and both came out piping hot. There was a lot more broth than meat and noodles though and just looked very different from the menu photos so I was a bit disappointed with that. The beef noodle soup broth comes with a clean broth like langzhou style whereas the chicken noodle soup broth comes with a richer milk broth. When I used to live closer to Arcadia, I loved going to Noodle St anytime I was at the Santa Anita Mall. Now, even years later, Noodle St has maintained the same consistency and quality that I remember from a long ago. I really only get their signature beef noodle soup. The broth is very flavorful but adds a lot of room for you to add in other things you like, such as chili oil. The noodles always have a great texture and chewiness to them, with 4 options that you can choose from. I particularly like the combo of daikon and beef slices they have. The wait time was about 20 min on a Saturday at 2pm, which speaks to their popularity when competing against all the other options at the mall! Workers were friendly and polite. Luckily they do provide chili sauce at the table to adjust the spice level. The flavor was a little cilantro/mint forward and it was a little on the salty side. The braised chicken wasn't that spicy either. It was tender and the flavor was good. The scallion pancakes were a little dense and didn't have much flavor to it. Our favorite of our dishes was the chicken dumplings. I think I could have eaten 2 orders of this dish. Overall the speed of service was good. They provide bibs to wear which I would highly recommend wearing since you do end up with splatters from eating noodles. It's been awhile since ive had this place and id really shocked how great everything was. The beef rolls were really flavorful, but slightly too much cilantro for me but still really yummy. My friend and I ate here today on a Saturday afternoon. I felt like three stars was the highest I could rate our experience because of several things that didn't meet our expectations and some that did. To start off the positives, we were greeted by the staff with no line/waitlist ahead of us. We were immediately seated and there were nice seats. Our waiter in the beginning as our order was taken was friendly especially answered our questions with a nice smile always. Some things that weren't great: the waiters didn't care to check up on us - I observed that the waiters never checked on their tables they were serving after their food was served. Second, our noodle soup also didn't have much beef serving. It was mostly noodles and less beef it honestly wasn't really worth the $15. There was lack of communication about how to pay - we didn't know if we had to get up to pay or wait for the bill at our table. When we finally got up to pay at the front, our waiter thanked us and wished us a nice day but eventually, the manager (who I'm assuming is) told him to give our bill to us next time? The staff in front was also confused if we were waiting to be seated when we went up to pay. My friend and I were pretty disappointed about our experience overall. This is the second time that I have eaten here, coming on a Saturday with a beautiful sunny day, and meeting up with a couple of girlfriends, one of whom I hadn't seen in eight years! We cheerfully ordered several dishes to share, it was plenty enough food for us. There was enough parking spaces at the Arcadia Westfield Mall, especially if you drive to the first or second level down below street level. The Noodle Street menu has a good selection of noodle dishes and delicious side dishes, the wait staff are nice and friendly, and there was no waiting time for our party of three when we arrived separately. The noodles are cooked freshly upping your order, and you can see one of the chefs shaving the block of dough for the knife cut noodles, he was slicing the noodles pieces into long strips 3" to 4" by 3/8" long. The noodles are nice, thick, and chewy, and I ordered the beef noodle with some tendons, asking for less spiciness for the soup that we shared, each person with our own bowl. The steamed wontons in chili sauce were also nice and chewy with a nice chili oil, yummy. We had the traditional beef rolls, I adored for extra housin sauce, plus we ordered a glass noodle dish that was lightly spicy, and quite delicious. This is a good place to walk around the mall after your meal while you're digesting the food, then we headed to the outside part of the mall to a boba shop called 3Cat, which I heard is famous. Check out the restaurant, you won't be disappointed with the variety of tasty dishes, then you can go walking to the various shops, hang out with your friends while catching up on your lives after that good meal, and then you can sit at the 3Cat place for a milk tea with panne cotta. I've been to the Santa Anita Mall twice in the last few years, and both times have struck out trying to get a table at Din Tai Fung. This time, at least, I had a back-up plan, which was honestly better suited to our party of seven, three parents and four boys aged six and under. When we missed our call time at DTF, instead of waiting in the long line to see the host, we diverted to Noodle St. right next door. It was also busy, but we were able to get a table within ten (very long, action-packed) minutes. Noodle St. is small and casual, part of a Southern California mini-chain serving hand-pulled noodles and other Chinese staples in various mall-like settings. I actually thought at first that it was a self-seating situation, as it looks like a chunk of food court, but it's a full-on restaurant with table service, just no walls to separate it from the bustle and ambient noise of the mall. This was a plus for our crew, who may have engaged in some chopstick percussion before the arrival of our much-needed food. Service was polite and super fast. Worth noting, though, that tip is included with the check, at least for large, rambunctious parties. Not a problem, except that I didn't notice and tipped on top, and our server indicated that the charge would be difficult to reverse. The food was reasonably priced and quite tasty. My favorite thing was actually the beef roll pancake, a great shareable appetizer with four pieces of flaky Chinese pancake rolled up with beef, green onion, cilantro, and hoisin sauce. The chicken spicy wontons were good too, slippery little wontons in a house-made spicy sauce. I got the Qinghai clear cold noodle for my main and these were solid, flour-based noodles mixed with Chinese chives and garlic. Chewy with a bit of numbing spice. I also tried some of the spicy beef noodle soup, with beef shank, kale, pickled veggies, cilantro, and green onions. Nice and flavorful, though the standard round noodles got a touch softer than I like in the hot broth. I wonder if the thicker options fare better. There was no kids' menu, but the boys did pretty well with the chicken noodle soup. My three-year-old, in fact, had one of his best meals all week, chowing down on the noodles and chicken and broth. There were also seasoned fries on the menu, and we were able to order them without the chili seasoning. If you're looking for Chinese food around Arcadia, you can probably do better than Noodle St. But if you're at the mall and want a quick, easy, satisfying meal, this spot should check all the boxes. read more

Is there anything better than a cold noodle on a hot day? Specially, with a side of pancakes, scallion and some ice cold green tea to chase it down. I don't think so. However, if you wanna go for a watermelon ice instead of green tea over ice, you won't be disappointed because it's just as refreshing and delicious. I'm really a fan of cold noodle on a hot summer and this one is delicious and refreshing. What I like the most is the chili sauce, that has a ton of garlic, crunchy flavor and the same time it doesn't take away from any of the noodle taste because it's not too spicy And these noodles are really delicious. If you like a little bit of chew, the pulled noodle really has a great texture and tie the dish together with all the fresh ingredients. There's nothing good or bad I can say about the scallion pancake. It's a pretty standard, scallion, pancake, but really it goes up a few points when I'm able to dip it in a delicious chili sauce from the noodles. Service was really prompt and great, everyone was very attentive and it was nice and pleasant. I wonder if they call it noodle Street because it feels like sitting on a street café patio even though it's indoors and has some cool air blowing through. Solid Chinese noodles place with customizable noodles. They have the classic round noodles, flat noodles, triangle, and knife cut. This is from chewy to chewiest. We got the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Very flavorful and you can get it extra spicy. I ate one the pieces of beef right when it came out but it was very chewy. I would say leave the beef in the soup for a bit and eat it later. The size of the spicy beef noodle soup is a bit deceiving: the bowl looks huge, but when my mom and I split it, there was only enough noodles to fill two small rice bowls. There were also only four pieces of beef shank. The rest was broth. Other beef noodle places that I've been to appear to have much larger portion sizes. We ordered standard noodle, which I thought was really good. The beef roll was not as creamy or crispy as other beef rolls I've had, but I still enjoyed it. In short, would definitely return here! Noodle st has always been one of our go to quick and easy choices for Chinese dining. My fiancé and I were seated extremely fast and received amazing service from the time we sat. The food also came out so quick and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite. The star of the show was the beef roll pancake, and I suggest you order two because it is just delicious! The Korean bbq was also great, but I wish there was just a little more meat on the dish itself. The location in the mall is also very quaint and chill, but it can get especially busy on the weekends so be prepared.
