Lomo saltado 40. Rib-Eye Beef Saltato
    Vera L.

As soon as I walked in, I was hit with the amazing smell of pho. But I actually came here just for the lomo saltado. They couldn't put the fries on the side, but thankfully they stayed crispy and didn't get soggy. The dish was packed with flavor, especially paired with their green sauce that's perfect with their flavored rice. Service was quick, meal was so delicious, I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Vietnam Kitchen in Arcadia is so delicious! It was my first time here during lunchtime, and the place was a bit busy. The tables were filled with people, and I could see the ladies packing take-away orders as well. I ordered a chicken pho with the thicker rice noodles. You can add the vegetables inside the broth and even jalapeños to add a little kick. I like putting all the basil and bean sprouts in my broth and having each bite filled with texture and a hearty taste. So if you're ever in need of some chicken pho or regular pho I think this place does a pretty good job!

Yummy pho and spring rolls at this locally owned Vietnamese restaurant. The Shrimp Spring Rolls my friend and I shared were plump and fresh tasting, just wish they weren't out of pork because we initially wanted to order the spring rolls with pork in it, too. The peanut dipping sauce that came with the rolls was a less thick consistency but still so good! I ordered their Pho Tai that has thin slices of beef. Super delish broth, savory without being too salty. The included side of veggies to add into the pho were fresh - jalapeño slices, mint, and bean sprouts. The server also asked me if I wanted cilantro and onion in it. I opted only for cilantro as sometimes I don't like pho with onions. My friend and I ordered two of their fruit drinks to try. I got Mango Juice and she got Passion Fruit Juice. My drink was quite sweet but not a bad sweet; I tried a sip of my friend's drink, it was sweet too but a little less than the mango. We both liked our drinks, just my friend wished there were no seeds at the bottom of the juice. I had these mango jellies at the bottom of the Mango Juice and it was ok, but too overwhelming as part of the drink after a bit, so I wished that the server had given us that option for having no seeds or mango jellies in our juice drinks lol. But maybe it's pre-made mixed juices? After we arrived past 7pm and were seated immediately, the service to get our orders in took like 15 minutes or maybe a little more, but the server apologized for the wait when she came to our table to take our order, which is appreciated since they were busy but also are aware of tending to other customers waiting as soon as they can. Would definitely wanna go come back for their fresh, delicious pho and spring rolls with reasonable portions and pricing whenever I'm in Arcadia craving Vietnamese food!

OMG! So delicious! The portion was not too small and not too big. The service was quick and friendly. Only thing I didn't care for was the passion fruit juice as it tasted of pure artificial flavoring but the staff was able to switch it for a soda since I didn't care for it. For lunch I order the chicken pho and it tasted fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying this spot. The chicken was perfect. I added lemon, sriracha, and hoisin sauce. Probably one of my favorite pho spots I have tried to date. The restaurant is quite small but it didn't matter as there were only two other tables eating when I was there.

Really refreshing pho broth. The soup doesn't feel too greasy or heavy. Good serving of meat and greens in the soup as well. The portion size is good (they only have 1 size here) and I'm content with the price. Can only give 4 stars since I haven't tried more of the menu but I'll definitely be back. The ladies are funny since they make suggestions for your next visit with them! (I ended up drink all the soup but couldn't finish the noodles).

This place is so underrated. I've tried many Pho places in SGV and OC (All the authentic Vietnamese Restaurant are in OC). This place has one of the best beef broth that i have ever tasted. The taste reminded of the bowls of Pho that i used to eat back in Viet Nam. Must try if you are looking for a good bowl of pho.

I've walked by this a few times and it's always smelled pretty good so I decided to walk in and try it. It's a very small restaurant that is definitely a mom and pop shop. There aren't many tables inside and I don't recommend a larvae party. They don't have a good habit of cleaning tables and they let it sit there until a customer needs that table. I ordered their combo beef pho and I would have to say that there are some good parts to it compared to other Vietnamese restaurants pho. So even though it's a combination pho, there is not much meat variety. There's only three beef items in there and that's the rare sliced beef, beef balls, and beef flank. If you want tripe or tendon, it's a 3 dollar charge per extra item. The bowl of pho starts at 15 dollars and that's like more expensive than most pho restaurants to begin with. There is only one size of pho as well. The soup of the pho is pretty flavorful and you can definitely tell there is MSG in it. The soup comes HOT which is good and it helps cooks the bean sprouts. The portion sizing is okay, for 15 dollars, this is like a large size in other places but the portion sizing here is like a regular at other places. For the service, there is no service and the people that work here are pretty rude. They have a very rude tone of voice and one of the ladies were like "They don't need a menu, they know what to order" even though she never spoke to them at all. The amount of time for them to take your order is also quite some time, they acknowledge you but they don't take your order. They also started to tell people to not order the spring rolls because there's too many orders. The inside of this place is modernize with fake plants and modern furniture. It's pretty nice inside but I guess you pay for it. Overall, it's not my favorite pho place and there's definitely work that needs to be done. Especially the staff, very rude tone of voice, and they are pretty slow. If I wanted a normal combo pho with like everything, it would be like 21 dollars before tax and tip! I wouldn't put this on my must try list or would I really recommend it to people. It's just... okay. Decent food but wouldn't come here just for food.

    banh mi
    Joanna L.

The tiny-ness of the banh mi at Vietnamese Kitchen should be a crime. After tax, the little sandwich will set you back just under $8 and it's so small compared to banh mi at other locations. I ordered takeout on a Monday evening around 7:30pm and they didn't have any dine in patrons but there were plenty of takeout and door-dash orders. Since I ordered upon arriving, it took them 15 minutes to finally get to my order. The baguette was a little hard and they package the radish/carrots separately which is nice. The sandwich itself is tasty flavor wise and it's a no frills, bare bones type of banh mi (literally bread, meat, veggies). Free ample parking in the parking lot. I don't think I'll get the banh mi again but I might be back to try other stuff

Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

We came around 1pm on a Saturday and was surprised that we got a table right away. Dining room was busy the entire time we were there and people shuffled in and out. Everything we ate was delicious!! The nem nuong rolls were so good -- each roll had a generous piece of nem nuong with that perfect smoky-sweet flavor. You can tell they don't skimp on the good stuff here. Every bite had a great balance of herbs, noodles, and that delicious grilled pork. The bun bo hue was a huge bowl of comfort. The broth was deeply flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it came loaded with big, meaty pork feet and pork blood that made it feel extra hearty and authentic. Definitely one of those dishes that warms your soul. We also tried the banh beo. The flour mixture was a little on the thicker side, but it was still really tasty--especially with those crispy little pieces of pork fat on top that add such a great savory crunch. On top of the food, the service was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience even better. All in all, a great meal and I can't wait to come back and start working my way through the rest of the menu.

We ordered the nem with Vietnamese grilled pork sausage (3 pcs), charbroiled sliced pork, and egg rolls after noticing almost every table ordering it. New Location, Same Curiosity!…read more Decided to give this newer location a try since our first visit to Golden Delight was years ago. I wanted to try their rice noodle soup with a mix of egg noodles and rice noodles, and let me just say... the picture speaks a thousand words. What arrived looked quite different from what was advertised on the menu. Although most of the ingredients were there, it definitely wasn't as pretty or as generously presented as the photos. Rice Noodle Soup (Egg Noodles + Rice Noodles Mixed) Rating: 6.8/10 The soup itself actually wasn't bad! The broth was light, clean, and nicely seasoned without being too heavy. While I enjoyed trying something different, it isn't a dish I'd order again on my next visit. Now let me warn you about their sauté sauce... It is PACKED with flavor but also seriously spicy! I made the mistake of adding a little too much to my noodle soup, and let's just say my taste buds definitely woke up. A little goes a long way, so add it slowly! The restaurant itself is very modern, clean, and has a trendy fusion vibe that makes for a nice dining experience. As much as I appreciate the updated atmosphere, I always find myself gravitating back toward the more traditional, authentic-style Vietnamese restaurants when I'm craving comfort food. Service Unfortunately, the service on our Sunday visit was probably the biggest downside. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't seem interested in explaining the menu when we had a few questions. Instead, she came across as if she was in a rush the entire time, and her overall attitude felt a bit off-putting. It honestly made us feel like we were inconveniencing her just by asking questions. Great service can really elevate a meal, and unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. Between that and the food, it's another reason I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return to this location. Overall, it was a nice spot to try once, but next time I'll probably explore a different dish--and maybe a different location. Happy eats!

The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I've eaten in many hole in the wall spots and have pretty normal standards for cleanliness as I understand how things get. But this place made me feel dirty.
