I'm shocked this place has such a good yelp rating. Pho was good, 7.5/10. Meats were soft and cooked right. Broth is on the lighter side but still good. Noodles were thin and cooked properly. The bone rib was a hard miss. It was very chewy and almost hard, as if it was old. Cooked a while ago and sitting for someone to order it. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I've eaten in many hole in the wall spots and have pretty normal standards for cleanliness as I understand how things get. But this place made me feel dirty. I'm a dude who can just stand and piss over any drain, but the restroom was disgusting. If my family was with me I would feel horrible allowing my wife or kids to have to use it. Washing your hands would make you feel dirtier, that's how bad it was. Bottom line. 6/10 If you must remain in this area, go for it. The pho is good enough. If you have options and time 4/10, steer clear from here until they put in the effort. If the bathroom didn't gross me out so much, I woulda took a photo. read more

I come here for three reasons: 1) Good prices 2) Options for low carb diet: chicken wings, different soup dishes with meat and no noodles 3) Special tendon dish (Xi Quach) This place is also less than 5 minutes from work and has ample parking. My only complaint is I've been here over five times and they've only had the Xi Quach twice. It's less than $5 and a little smaller than a normal bowl of pho. I don't even have the opportunity to take a picture of it because it's always out. Service is super fast which is great when I want to grab a quick bite for work. No worries on parking. The place is in the corner of the plaza. The interior is ok, the place was warmer than outside. There were a couple flies by the windows where we were sitting; absolutely buggers. The waiters seemed to be too busy. Cutting their own fruits for lunch snacks. The egg rolls ordered took a very long time. The broth of pho wasn't bad. Very thick. Definitely not watered down. The basil leaves were 30% withered but still edible. Came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't very busy. Our party of 8, including a baby, were seated right away. They have high chairs available. It gave the vibes of a no frills pho place trying to be hip. I got the Pho Tai Gau which had fillet mignon slices along with tendon. I'm a huge fan of tendon so I also ordered the To Xi Quach, a side dish. To my surprise, the I got two huge bones with plenty of tendon! That in itself could make another meal. Dined in for dinner on 12/15/24. It was pretty empty around 6:00 pm when we arrived. Service was quick to get our orders in and the food came out fast. I ordered the Pho Tai Fillet (Filet Mignon Rare Steak) and the Bone with Tendon. The flat noodles were good, but you can order skinny noodles if you want. The meat was tender and the soup was tasty. We stayed for a pretty long time with friends and we weren't rushed out or anything. Food: The pho broth was delicious and I did not wake up needing water post meal like I usually do. I nearly finished it, which I also never really do. The broth tastes authentic and home-made. The meat was really tender to my surprise and I really enjoyed it. Prices here are extremely reasonable and the portion was filling and just right. The large bone + Marrow wasn't as worth it as I hoped (a lot less meat on there than I thought) but plenty of Marrow so if you're into that, definitely get it. Additionally, the pho here is unique and different from a lot of other pho places and I think the reason might be the unique sweetness associated with its broth. Visiting the place for many times, food are great the meat the noodle never fail me especially the soup. They're so delicious and great but somehow throughout times I see the server need to be trained while there is a customers inside the restaurant please don't make a loud noise, joking around and banging bowl and plates and utensils until it sounds like he too tired to do his work. Those kind of thing may impact the business. Seems like you don't need any customers and you hate a customers that were there enjoying your delicious food. I don't mind the joke around, but look at the situations sometimes people need peace and quietness while they want to enjoy their food And at that time, I was being served with a broken bowl, where the bowl had chip on the side that is sharp and could create hazard while I was eating, don't the owner know that in Asian culture you're not supposed to present those kind of tableware? Please don't hurt your reputations that you have built so far, because many people have a praise your places as one of the pho place worth to visit. Keep up the good work. Really wanted to like this place but I don't think I'll be coming back. Restaurant was just really dirty, dishes were cracked and dirty, there were black particles in the water jug, bathroom smelled putrid and there was a live cockroach crawling around. We tried to be optimistic and thought the food must be really good but the broth was oily and tasted "murky" and idk if I just lost appetite from the dirtiness but it was mediocre at best. Haven't ate here in a while but when they first opened it was the only pho place I went to. I loved that they opened at 9 and the staff was friendly...but today I went in & felt like I was a burden. I was the only customer at 9:20am and one of the workers was mopping the floor (hazard for customers coming in) no wet floor sign to be seen & wasn't greeted at all. I ordered the filet mignon and tendon pho. The meat was good, no complaints about that, but the noodles tasted old. I'm not sure how I'm the first customer in the morning and the noodles could taste old? When I closed out another employee helped me but also made me feel unwelcomed & bothersome. There are no appetizers, no chicken, and no seafood, but they do sell a few other things at the counter. For the pho, you can choose between flat noodles or skinny noodles. My hubby got P1 which was a combination of everything. you get to choose thin or thicker noodle. I suggest that their thicker noodle is better. I got the thin noodle and it was clumpy, saugy, and noodles were short. The soup is too sweet for us and not comforting to me. The sweetness makes me feel thirsty and didn't enjoy it as much. Searching for a decent pho place around the neighborhood, we remember seeing their sign a while ago, so we decided to come here to try them. Around noon during midweek, there weee several tables occupied, and they all appear to speak Vietnamese, which was a good sign for me. The menu was very simple: nearly all items were pho. Prices were reasonable, food came out very quickly and service was prompt. I had the P3., which was pho with filet mignon and beef meatballs. There's only 1 size and it's a decent amount for my big appetite. The broth was pretty good. Not the best I've had but good. We asked for the filet to be served on the side so it won't overcook in the hot broth. It was lean and tender. Wish I had a bit more meatballs though. Inside, it's clean and bright with large windows facing the street. All tables are brought a plate of basil, sprouts and peppers to be used with the pho. One thing I wasn't sure about is paying the check. It seems I had to go to the counter and pay at their POS system, so have your tip figured out ahead of time. Pho 99 is a great place to get a quick pho fix. They're quick, it's a good sized bowl and at a reasonable price.
