    Chicken Shawarma plate

Friendly service Clean and contemporary environment. The food was delicious and great presentation. Lovely place for quick lunch.

    Half cheese/half zatar

Levant Mediterranean Oven and Grill in Pasadena across from Huntington hospital -- so, so good! Wow! The chicken kebab was excellent--tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The half cheese, half za'atar bread, fresh out of the oven, was delicious, and the hummus was creamy and flavorful. I'm from the Levant region, so I know what the real thing tastes like, and this came surprisingly close. Even the cabbage salad was fresh and crisp, with the dressing served on the side--a small touch that keeps the salad from getting wilted. Everything was fresh, authentic, and delicious. I'll definitely be going back many times to try more of the menu. Highly recommended!

Amazing pizza from their cool Oven

This place is truly a gem !! The food quality and the customer service is amazing. The Levant pizza and the Levant sandwich is a must must try .... And of course the rice plates are so delicious as well . I've been coming here 3 x a week for lunch . It's a drive for me as I'm coming from Glendora , but well worth it .

    Beef sandwich. Gynormous.

Man. This place rocks. Fresh, easy and delicious. I ordered the beef sandwich and my jaw dropped. Look at how big the sucker is.

we had a very good experience here. their vegetarian dishes are marked on the menu but my boyfriend is vegan. there was a little bit a language barrier, but they were very understanding and mindful of what was safe for him to eat. he got the falafel plate with garlic fries and hummus and a side of tabbouleh. i got a side of baba ganoush and it came with pita to dip. i was surprised that they made this with yogurt when i think it typically is non dairy. the food came out quickly and i thought everything tasted really good although the tabbouleh was really heavy on the tomato and onion and tasted more like a pico de gallo. we were wearing hospital visitor stickers so i think maybe staff was a little kinder to us because of it. they also gifted everyone dining in (which was like 3 tables at the time) a plate of baklava which was so gorgeous. we ultimately regifted it to hospital staff who was grateful for it (and my boyfriend couldn't eat it anyway because honey) so it was a win win for everyone.

    Beef "shawarma"

I ordered a beef shawarma. They used a flour tortilla to wrap the "sandwich" It was mostly beef with little filling of tomato and red onion. Flavor was decent but overall not worth $15

I'd like to add that two young doctors in their scrubs walked from Huntington Hospital to Levant to pick up their take-out order.

What we ordered: Appetizers -Grilled octopus: this was tender and flavorful, grilled to perfection (Must try!!!) -Calamari salad: light and refreshing, tossed in a zesty lemon herb dressing Entrees -Beef Kebab: served with a pillowy, puffed pita which was hollow in the center & hummus. The beef kebab was flavorful and well seasoned. It was served with basmati rice -Branzino: served on a bed of fingerling potatoes. The branzino had beautifully crispy, golden-brown skin. Yet the fish was moist and perfectly prepared. The dill and the capers gave the branzino a nice contrast. Desserts -Tiramisu: had a noticeable hint of alcohol which complemented its creamy texture -Mango Sorbet: light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end a delicious meal! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was friendly and attentive despite being very busy on a Saturday night. This is definitely a must-visit Dine LA experience.

Fast forward to last weekend, we had to be in Pasadena for an errand and finally decided it was time to try it for dinner. I'm so glad we did because this place was SO good! The menu is a little more diverse than a traditional Greek menu, which honestly made it even harder to choose because there were so many amazing options. We ended up ordering the grilled octopus, mussels, chicken kebab, and sea bass, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors and textures were just wonderful, and I would genuinely recommend every one of these dishes. The mussels were actually a last-minute decision and ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the night, if not my favorite. The broth was seriously incredible, and the bread that comes with it was the perfect pairing. I usually don't love dense bread, but because this bread sits in the broth and soaks it all up without completely falling apart, every bite was perfection. It could sit in that broth for 30 minutes and still hold together, and honestly, I could have eaten that entire bowl just for the broth and bread! The ambiance is also wonderful. We sat outside on the rooftop on a beautiful summer evening, which made the whole experience even better. Service was excellent too. We didn't have a reservation, it was a Saturday night, and they were able to get us seated within about 30 minutes. I genuinely cannot wait to come back. The only problem is that I want to try everything else on the menu, but I also want to order all the same things again because they were that good! I was already thinking about how much my family would love this place when they come visit. If you haven't tried Café Santorini yet, you're missing out!

They can get busy at times. A little wait is worth it. service is overall sufficient. A local burger joint vibe. I may lack the background to appreciate their mediterranean dishes but I have tried them. I still prefer the chicken, it is a safer choice if you are that not into Mediterranean foods. Hot sauce, garlic sauce, and the pita bread are a must. The nutty dessert baklava is good as well, sweet & sticky. Overall. This is a good place that offers amazing rotisserie chicken, way better than the ones from the supermarkets or the wholesales place. Just my two cents. Make your choice wisely ;)

Their kebobs are cooked over actual coals, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The chicken is always incredibly tender and flavorful, the beef is tender and perfectly cooked, and I have a friend who could probably live on their tzatziki. Everything is fresh and thoughtfully prepared every day. But as wonderful as the food is, the people are what make Sahara so special. Ana owns the restaurant with her husband and runs the kitchen, and she and the entire staff are simply amazing. This is a true family-owned restaurant where you can feel the care that goes into both the food and the way they treat people. After we lost our home in the Eaton Fire, in Altadena, we were living in a hotel and would come to Sahara for dinner. Every time we came in, they insisted on sending us home with extra food so we would have something to eat later. At a time when our lives had been completely turned upside down, that kindness and generosity meant more to us than I can possibly express. Extraordinary food made by genuinely wonderful people. We love Sahara, and I feel very lucky to be able to support a local family-owned business that puts so much heart into what they do. If you haven't been, go. And get the kebobs.
