We found this gem close to our office in Rosemead. It is located in the strip mall, a bit run down outside. But the service and food are so good! The owner (I think) is super nice and explained to us their signature dish and kept us informed on the progress of the food. Everything is freshly made including hummus. Greek salad is also awesome! Food: - Lule chicken and beef plate: Comes with a skewer of ground chicken and beef each served on a bed of rice, along with a roasted tomato and pepper, hummus, and Mediterranean salad, with a round of pita bread. I prefer my roasted tomato to be cooked for longer, but this one was on the firmer side. The portion and variety is decent for what you're paying for, but I did think the hummus, Mediterranean salad, and pita bread tasted store-bought as opposed to homemade. - Filet mignon plate: the filet mignon was really good, and can be cooked to your liking. It is more expensive, but it was very tender. Comes with all the sides mentioned. - Cheese bread: this was the special of the day, and was listed as homemade but didn't really taste like it either. It was served cold, in the filling was crumbled cheese. I guess I was expecting some kind of melted cheese on top of a sliced bread, but this was more of a cheese pastry to me. Overall, this is a good place for a quick lunch to go, but not the best spot for dining in, larger parties, or family settings.
