The calamari was just okay, nothing special. The shrimp was the only thing that was actually good. The crab soup was around $30, which is extremely overpriced for what it was -- definitely not worth it. Service was lacking as well. We ordered several dishes and specifically asked for a non-spicy sauce, but it never came. They didn't follow up or fix it. The restaurant is in a shopping center and feels more like a casual lunch spot, so the pricing was surprising and didn't match the quality or experience. Grubbing with Greg is what led us to this restaurant. We started with the shrimp and fish ceviche which came with a side of chips. The salsa was excellent. The ceviche was flavorful but did not include any avocado. Our entree was the shrimp fajitas. It did not include tortillas, thst was an extra charge. It also didn't come out sizzling. The shrimp were a bit overcooked. The rice needed more flavor. The micheladas were good. The fish tacos were excellent, the highlight of the entire meal. The house made crema was very good. The woman who took our order was very nice, gave recommendations and I assume was the owner. Everyone was nice, but I think they are a little understaffed. The food is over priced, the male old server is rude and lies when asked about the food prep. The shrimp was dirty, my wife was very upset but he ignored her and turned his back to her. I asked him for a clean fork, he acted like he didn't hear me. Nice atmosphere when you enter but the service is rude and the pricing is outrageous for the quality and size of plates. Nothing like their videos. I was disappointed especially with the attitude and lack of service. The garlic butter fish was buttery delicious and the garlic was not over powering. Rosie had the Oscar Special, which is grilled fish, shrimp and octopus in a tomatillo sauce. Our first time here, was curious as they offered seafood boil with a Latin fusion flavor. Was not disappointed! Our waitress Alondra was extremely helpful and explaining the menu and making suggestions, we ordered 1 pound of shrimp, and 1 pound of crab, Cajun flavor, was served in the silver serving dish, which I loved - no plastic bag to deal with! Alondra was very attentive, checking in on us! Love the Cajun flavor! The shrimp and the crab was cooked perfectly! Was told it gets very busy on weekends and that they serve breakfast but they open at 11 AM, that's brunch! Looking forward to coming back and trying their fajitas platter. OMG!!! Let's start with how clean and welcoming this place is. Walked in and was greeted by a very sweet waitress. Sat down immediately. This was my first time here so was excited to try a new spot. I came in specifically for the shrimp boil. Been craving it for a while and saw they had good reviews. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. The restaurant alone is super CLEAN and love how it's decorated. I started off with some empanadas (shrimp) that we're not on the menu our server recommended, so why not. They were good. Let me tell you about the boil. I did not care about gloves started eating it with my bare hands. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! And I can't wait to bring my family here. Not only was the food great but the customer service was INCREDIBLE. Not sure if the man who brought out our boil was the owner/chef but he made our experience amazing. LOVED LOVED LOVED!!! I wish i knew about this place sooner. My coworker arranged to have an after work birthday celebration for me at this wonderful, extremely delightful restaurant. The food was beyond delicious. The servings were very hearty, mouth watering, some of the best seafood platters i have ever tasted in my life and I'm over 60. The staff, including the cook/waiter/owner, as he described himself was very attentive, we never had to wait for anything. The food tasted very fresh, everything cooked to perfection by an amazing man (sorry i forgot your name), who as i stated is also the owner. As i stated it was a birthday celebration and the owner even came out with a cake that my coworker purchased (many places won't allow you to bring in outside food), he even lit the candles AND SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY, quite well i might say. Absolutely wonderful random find. Whoever did their most recent IG ad, showcasing their platter and overall business, bravo! It worked AND delivered. When you find it, and see it's location, and you step through the doors, you forget you're in a commercial shopping center. The decor and internal set up is quaint, lovely, and welcoming. We saw one single waitress handling the tables, about 7 tables and she handled it phenomenally well! Excellent service. My husband and I ordered dishes to share. We ordered the Lupe Platter and their house mussels, with brioche. Omg, I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the dishes. We are avid seafood foodies ourselves and wanted "mariscos". This place more than delivered. Think, upscale Mariscos without the overpriced, underserved scale of the fancier bougie places popping up just to try and cater to "upper class" folk. We are definitely fans and shooting to come back for more. We ordered Rico's Mussels and they were served in a small skillet, in a not-so tomatoey broth base that was ---- omg, I'm still salivating over the memory --- it was light, full of flavor, and over the top delicious with the brioche they give you to dip and enjoy even more. Absolutely superb dish. Now, the platter, we knew we wanted a platter. We were deciding between the combination, Oly's platter, and Lupe's platter. We wanted SEAFOOD so these were our options. The Combination, focused a lot on crab. We weren't quite in the mood for that and wanted something more filling (sounding). We decided on the Lupe's Platter over Oly's mostly because Lupe's comes with a fried 'mojarra' and shrimp three-ways: Costa Azul (bacon wrapped), Garlic Shrimp, and, I'm assuming, their version of "Camarones a la diabla" which is spicy shrimp in a house sauce, spicy house sauce. EVERYTHING in this platter was absolutely delicious, well made and --- worth a try. Towards the end of our meal, the owner walked in, and like with every other small business, well-managed business, he did his rounds and walked around - helping staff and greeting the tables. Idk about you, but I love and appreciate that small gesture. Says a lot about the overall success of the place. Almost like they're inviting us to their home, to eat their food. The host (ALONDRA)slash waitress was also super attentive. I had the garlic with chill rellano was good . My sister had the shrimp tacos. So I just thought the rice was bland needs a bit more sason my sister thought the tacos should be served in yellow corn tortillas to give the taco that kick along with serving it with repollo not lechuga. The grilled fish filet is delicious. This is the second time I have been here in a week. The first time, my dad and I both ordered the garlic shrimp with the chile relleno, and it was phenomenal. We received literally Gold Star service and some really fantastic food. My clam chowder was bomb! That was really what I went there for even though it's over 90 degrees outside lol, but that wasn't all we had. Fish ceviche tasted very fresh, my husband's shrimp taco was great and shrimp were seasoned well and had great texture. I really liked my fish taco, it had a light fry on a nice size filled. My kids really liked their shrimp quesadillas. I had a miche and it was solid. Then tried to blame my wife but everyone clearly saw she did it. Once we called her out she wanted to cover our tab and this that. Didn't want to replace my items she damaged and to top it off she tried to lie in the beginning. As a business you should want to run a honest business and not lie.
