Some people find it annoying but those people probably have personal issues and find anything to complain about. I've had their Chile Relleno, huevos rancheros, enchiladas, and it's all good. Tbh I've never had a bad plate from here and always leave feeling like a total gordo. Tortillas de maize hecho en casa. Modelo Miches, cold Ceviche tostadas are served in a huge glass good enough for 3 tostadas. Street parking in front, tiny parking spot in the back alley. My cousin recommended this place. We've been here a few times and the waitress and staff are friendly. The food portions are large my fav so far is the fish ceviche and the tacos made from handmade corn tortillas. The ambience is loud as the have karaoke after 7:30. Somewhat hidden gem. Came here for lunch with a friend, she had the enchiladas and I had the meat molcajete. Now I'm very particular with my Mexican food. This morning I was really hungry and decided to stop by this restaurant on Atlantic/Whittier ave. I ordered the machaca con huevos rice and beans and as you can see in the picture this doesn't look like machaca con huevos at all the machaca has to be dry and must have bell pepper and this one was not dry and didn't have any bell pepper. The rice tasted like a 6, the beans were ok and the homemade tortillas were like a 7. Their agua de jamaica was good but I didn't like the fact that when she brought the glass of Jamaica she was holding the glass from where you put your lips and I don't like that ( I know there's straws but what if I wasn't going to use one). The server was like a normal server nothing special ( could have been nicer with a nice smile but she was just acting like she was just getting paid by the hour). The only problem was while we were enjoying a quiet dinner we were interrupted by a noisy trio that walked in off the street and banged away on this irritating snare drum, the guy singing sounded like he just had his tonsils removed, geesh, really ruined the ambiance and also got interrupted by street vendors soliciting food inside, hard to believe not once did staff ask them to leave. Fake reviews!!! The food is meh and I don't understand how there can be so many flies in a restaurant. We are trying to eat our food and there are flies flying all around our food. Visited Atlantic Mexican and Seafood today and had ordered the Camarones (Shrimp) Ranchero, the shrimp were large and well cooked! sauce was very good!, came a side of beans and salad, and both were fresh and good tasting. Also ordered the Fajitas de Pollo (chicken) and the chicken and vegetables were nicely steamed and had a sizzling taste! Both orders came with a tortilla soup which was well made and ordering next time is a good meal if you order a separate order. Handmade fresh tortillas were very warm and made great little burritos! I love this place. Staff is friendly and food is good--- It can sometimes be a hit or missss depending on what you get, but overall I rate it pretty good in comparison to nearby restraurants. At least its very clean and has new furniture. They've changed management a few times, which is why I think the name of the restaurant keeps changing. Here are a few of my favorite dishes the taquito plate, the barbacoa plate, costa azul plate, azada plate or for breakfast the chilaquiles!!!! Restaurant is always pretty lonely... clearly they've struggled to get the foot traffic in, but I live so close by its a place I occasionally come in for a nice meal when I dont want to cook and dirty my kitchen. Come here to avoid long waits at restaurants and to get good food, don't come here for the environment because you'll find yourself having to create an environment (cricketssssss) lol They also have a nice selection of Mexican bottled beer and dont forget your singles to play music on the jukebox! read more

My mother and I decided to try this spot after reading the Yelp reviews, we both order the shrimp soup, it was delicious the tortillas were handmade. I also order a chicken soup and six asada tacos for my sister and her family. They loved the food as well. The restaurant is next to a car dealership in between the two car dealers there's a drive thru to an Alley for parking in the rear of the restaurant. Parking can become a mission since there's an elementary school near by. Definitely will be going back soon. Hope you like it. read more

Found this place on Yelp, seemed like it would be authentic Mexican food and they delivered. I call to place an order and I give the address of my hotel, which is 1.2 miles from them. I was placed on hold for 6 minutes and the lady comes back and says I'm too far away and hangs up. Terrible customer service!!!! She could've at least offered for me to do carryout instead of just ending the call. I could've went to pick it up but I was too frustrated to call back and make that attempt when she should've offered it before hanging up. read more

Extremely great customer service! The food was delicious and they have a range of spices. I recommend the green salsa with chips, nachos with chicken for appetizer, and a shrimp burrito mojado. It's a hole in the wall place with a clean and comfortable environment. A very homelike setting with nice seating arrangement. Family friendly as well. Parking is in the back and you have to go through the alley and there is street parking by the church. Our server was a woman named Monse and she was absolutely helpful and extremely friendly. It was a wonderful first time experience. I will definitely be coming back here to try even more food. read more

This is a great little traditional Mexican Seafood restaurant with original booth seating and plenty of space for larger group gatherings. I had driven by it many times but could never find parking..thanks to a fellow Yelper who commented that there is parking behind the restaurant..we tried it today and really enjoyed everything we ordered off the lunch special menu (crunchy tacos with shrimp). The food was "OK" had some Pozole and that gets 2 STARS and some Chilaquiles 3 STARS. The pozole seemed that the meat was cooked separately and then added, no flavor and it looked different chopped up. Although the red salsa was great, it seems that for the chilaquiles they add a different one. They didn't have flavor and they chips needed to be deep fried a bit longer, they were way too soft. The Michelada is good, but not the best and the shrimps on it were definitely fresh. There's a lot of potential here and the service was amazing, but the food could use some help. read more
