    The Blvd is a pretty awesome spot. I know it used to be real ghetto and thuggish but since its re-opened and been under management for the past few month I've had some epic times here. First off the beer is a decent price. $4 bottles, $9 pitchers on tap. Pretty wide variety or beers. From domestic to imports and a couple of craft beers. No Liquor as of now but from what I hear thats another thing soon to come. Theres a pool table where you can play for free. There is a sound system and small stage for performing artist. The reason I love the Blvd is they helped me host a beer pong tournament. 16 teams. All the teams got shirts and the winners took home a custom made beer pong table. The Blvd and their staff helped all along the way. Gave me a great price on the beer for the tournament and attended to all our crazy needs. Like 32 pitchers of beer floating around their bar. It was bad ass. The blvd is definitely an up and coming spot in Boyle Heights. Locals who know the area know its not as bad as it once was. And the entire community is having a resurgence. Ill be hosting another Tournament in September and I look forward to working with the Blvd in making it another memorable experience.

    I been a here a couple times and everytime ive had a good experience. Since new ownership has taken over this place has taken a turn for the better. free pool table hip hop shows featuring some of the dopest artist east of the river and a welcoming atmospbere with occasional beer pomg tournaments that kick ass! Good times brimg a friend or two or 3 I would mos def recommend this place Cheers!

    It's a typical dive bar, hole in the wall, girls bathroom mirror is crack, pool tables, dive bar, it's a place to grab a BEER and I mean beers only, they serve no cocktails or fancy drinks nor wines, which I like, we came here to watch a band play it was a good show, chill crowd how ever I will say don't bring a F#%king sweater in there cause it gets hot as f*#% in there. Parking sucks too, good luck with that, If your just looking to chill, hear some bands, grab a brew this place maybe the place for you. My overall experience was good then again I'm a happy drunk (;

    Urinal art. This persons prediction is either very accurate or complete rubbish. John McCain has a daughter I think ??

    Cool spot. Cheap booze. 100oz Modelo beer for $22, good for you and your buddies...or if you are just a beast and don't give a shit, you can drink it yourself. Only downside is that they just have beer, but a decent selection with some craft beer. Got a pool table and some seats. They have good happy hour prices. If you live in Boyle heights and don't want to go out far, this is a good spot to grab a beer.

    I love this bar. It's so relaxed and they have a lot of games for friends (cornhole, billiards, beer pong).

We went with pizza, wings, and the potato wedges -- and everything was on point. The pizza had that perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and crust. The wings were flavorful and cooked just right, and the potato wedges were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside -- exactly how they should be. I'll be honest, parking can be a bit tough, especially during busy hours. But once you take that first bite, you forget all about the hassle. The food is absolutely worth it. Our drinks kept coming and our food came out fresh and fast. Now, I highly recommend trying the Hot Cheetos wings with the drizzle of nacho cheese. I know, weird right?! But THEE best wings I have ever had. They are soo flavorful. The pizza is on a whole other level...the sausage has a distinctly great flavor. The sauce is amazing. It's wood-fired pizza. The beer pitchers are incredibly affordable and it's just a great place to bring family or friends. Cute place for a date night, too. Plus, they have a vegan pizza option that looked delicious.

Barbara's at the Brewery is definitely the highlight of the street because the sign is so large and parking is centered all around it but I still got confused on where the entrance was. I thought the entrance is where the large sign you see from the street is, but actually you have to walk past that sign and past the gate and all the way straight to the yellow building up ahead and that's when you run straight into Barbara's. There are two entrances but I didn't realize I was closer to the main one and somehow I walked all the way to the left and around up some stairs to go in from what I guess must be the back door. Next time once you are at the yellow building go around the right and the door is almost immediately to your left. Once inside I liked the vibe. There are two rooms, one is the bar area room and one is the room where people can just take their food or drinks and just hang out and eat. I went to the bar and the bartender was super friendly and he let me taste test the beer before ordering. I got the Poppiness beer which was very delicious and refreshing, ice cold. I sipped it slowly and it stayed cold throughout my whole meal. To eat I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries. I don't often eat fried food because my belly will hurt, but it was one of the few chicken items on the menu and I went for it. Good thing I did! The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The outside is perfectly crunchy that every time you bite in there is this satisfying crunch noise, and the inside chicken is a good thick portion of chicken and it is so moist and flavorful. I gobbled that sandwich down and wished I could get a second to go haha! The best thing though is that my belly did not hurt after eating this sandwich, I'm thinking the ingredients must be really clean. I definitely loved the food, the drinks, and the vibe of the place, and would 100% stop by again if I'm in the area!

A bicycling group stopped by for a quick breather in the lot before heading back out. Event organizers were shuffling unsuspecting casual onlookers into playing regulars. In and around the brewery, focused chess matches were set up in dimly lit cosmic lighting, a stark contrast to the commotions from the music and the Lakers game on TV. Upstairs inside the brewery the attendees traded the cool, evening air for a noticeably stuffier experience. The space contained mostly beginner mahjong games as well as chess matches. I had the chance to engage in both activities and had a blast even though I got my butt kicked. Would love to come back and play a few more rounds with a drink in hand.
