Boyle Heights best bar hands down. Family owned and operated. Super friendly staff and vibrant decor. Dj and live music on most weekends. Came in to watch sports. Shared nachos and mini burgers. The mini burgers are absolutely delicious! Well cooked and seasoned patty to go along with a Hawaiian roll. We shared 6 of them. Highly recommended. Also shared nachos and pretzels. Not complaints. Washed our food down with some solid hand crafted drinks. We really enjoyed our night and can't wait to go back.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with amazing hospitality, this place has a great staff, great beer selection, and ever better food! The kitchen here does not play! I recommend the nachos, and Ceviche. The chicken tenders on a Sunday watching football is just the best combo, especially with their fries garnished in rosemary. Yum!

I was so hungry this is the only picture I got haha

We came here by chance because this used to be a dive bar years ago. The mural attracted us and so we gave it a chance , my mom & I had the cóctel de Camarón , my aunt had the tacos de papa , my cousin had the flautas and we tried a taco de chicharrón. Everything was delicious , the place is very cool inside very appropriate to its community which is what I loved most . The service was 10/10. We will definitely be back.

One of my favorite bars to come relax and have a couple of drinks. Lovely atmosphere. I feel safe here and the staff are amazing. Karaoke time.

Didn't have anything to eat. Had a couple of micheladas and sat at the bar. Bartender was awesome. As if I was taking to a friend. Dodger decor throughout the place which made the atmosphere warm. Definitely pregaming next Dodger visit.

Great food, great service, and good vibes! Lots of ice cold beers on tap. Definitely worth stopping by to catch a game or dance the night away to some karaoke.

Don't Judge book by its cover Great food. Drinks special. Great time for music bands. Awesome local spot. They have plethora of beers. Bartenders are always welcoming on top of things. I recommend to come and have drink or food or just to hear music, watch ur local Teams Lakers Dodgers cowboys except raiders or 49ers... joking I love this spot.

    This is one good michelada

Little pricey considering the area. $14.00 for a kettle one and soda is little steep. Vegas prices in a not so Vegas location.

Never coming here again…read more I went last night to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in years and stepped outside for a moment to get some air because it was getting stuffy inside. The girl security was chill, the heftier guy must've not liked me or something because he was not trying to join the small talk I was making with the other security. I tell her I need to go inside and get my friend because we were leaving and the male security tells me there's "No Ins and Outs". I was literally going to go inside and get my friend and go. He doesn't let me. So then I spam my friend to let her know they're not letting me back inside. When she comes out I tell her my shoes are hurting and I take my heels off because we had to walk. He then accuses me of being messy drunk for being taking my heels off. Learn to read the room sir. We step away from the front and literally walk a few businesses over AWAY from the bar. This is how I know the security was looking for a problem. I tell my friend we don't have to worry about anyone messing with us on our walk because I have a tazer. I show it to her and press the button to let her know it works. The security guard leaves his post and walks towards us and tells me "now you have to leave because you're doing that" I was already leaving and he had no reason to walk towards me on the side walk he should have stayed at the front door. I wasn't even talking to him anymore. We were literally 2-3 businesses away. So I turned the tazer on and told him to leave, he approached us. There was no reason for him to walk up to us we already left. This man was looking for trouble. He needs to be fired. I was scared I was gonna have to use it if he got physical. Management should really look into that security guard because it makes me wonder how many patrons he actually messes with when he's on a machismo power trip. I am never coming back to this establishment again. You guys don't even deserve a star. How dare you allow your security to harass someone trying to leave. This man does not know how to diffuse situations properly. He needs to be fired. And then witnessing him trying to rewrite reality was truly disgusting. I'm so genuinely curious if he has history of getting physical with patrons. If he does, I'm certain he's not as innocent as he performs.

But once you find it, it's large, gated, and has a couple attendants watching the cars. You go upstairs and it opens up into a decent sized space. Large enough to hold people and dance, and small enough that you can see the band from every point in the bar. It has a long bar when you enter and looks like they'll take care of you for the night. At the far end of the venue is a little space. I'm not sure if they use that as their green room cuz it wasn't inviting you to come in. Overall, I think it's a decent venue. Not sure if the sound was an issue w the bands' equipment or The Paramount. I'd go back if a fave band of mine is playing.

I don't recall seeing an elevator so call before hand if you're in a wheel chair or are on crutches, because you have to go up a flight of stairs to get into the venue. Inside, it's cute and definitely looks like an old dance hall from the 1900's. I'd say this was a medium sized venue. The stage wasn't terribly high off the ground. There's a big, beautiful, bar and a disco ball and it has a lot of charm since it's an older venue. Seeing a show here feels less stressful than seeing one in downtown or Hollywood. It's not my favorite venue but it's definitely a good time and more intimate than the downtown venues and free parking is always a plus.

Felt as though I were in México, not in Distrito Federal but in a less cosmopolitan city where in the old days Straights and Gays kind of mixed together although in some bigger venues there were areas where Gays had their own corner. Redz Bar is too small for separation, and it makes it hard to determine who is who. I was there on a busy Saturday around 9pm. All the tables were taken by party goers. I stole one of the few bar stools still left. Beer & wine bar: Ordered a Michelada that is bloody mary mix from a bottle, lemon juice, worchester sauce?, Modelo Mexican beer. The lip of the huge mug is lined with a salty, not very piquant chile powder like El Tajín. It's a refreshing, savory, Umami bomb just perfect on a hot day or night. My first Michelada ever. So I look around and it seems like a regular neighborhood Latino bar. If there are any Gays they were sprinkled around and not particularly & obviously visible. The friendly bartendress offered a free plate of antojitos / snacks which consisted of a small Tamal de Puerco con Salsa de Chile Colorado, and a bowl of Bírria soup in consommé w/ a small piece of goat. To me this Bírria tasted closer to a Pozole. Very hospitable gesture by Redz to give out such a tasty mini-meal. Redz caters to an East Los Angeles clientele. It's a liitle piece of México. Music is loud with Norteño & Son Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz tonight. I felt comfortable, and a nice Latina lady sitting next to me talked in her limited English and I in limited Spanish. Nice way to experience the East Los scene. 4 stars.
