Ane the bar owner / bartender is a whole vibe! First time here and first thing he does is offer me a shot once I hit the bar! He also served housemade chapulines. First time trying crickets.. a little nervous.. but it was tasty! This is an agave / tequila bar. I had two delicious margs on the rocks and it was phenomenal. Ane makes his own home made fruit puree/juice and does not use syrups. My man had his micheladas and it was also yummy. The atmosphere is awesome! It's a hole in the wall speakeasy and everyone is super friendly! We went on a karaoke night on a Sunday and it was super fun. They do comedy nights, cover band, local DJ, and as mentioned KARAOKE NIGHT! Definitely recommend!

Bufadora Bar, off Indiana stop for Eastside / Santa Monica E Metro Line, is clean, and tidy, deceptively large adult drinking establishment. Dogs, outside food is welcomed. The bar snacks of Chex Mix and Grasshoppers are free. Karaoke on Sunday afternoons. TK

From the moment my friends and I walked in, we were impressed by the stylish Mexican decor, warm lighting, and upbeat yet relaxed atmosphere. Immediately, we were greeted by the friendly bartenders. The cocktail menu is creative and well-balanced, featuring one of a kind delicious house specials and refreshing Mexican craft beers. I tried one of the house specialties and it was delicious, smooth and flavorful with a beautiful presentation. The service was top-notch, with no wait time on the drinks. If you're looking for a new go-to bar, this is it. Can't wait to come back!

Great service. Friendly people. Many craft beers, The specialty drinks are really good. It's a great place to have a good time and unwind. This is my second time and the bartender and owner are so sweet. And let's not forget the great music of all types. It is very clean. The bathroom is very well kept. Highly recommend you visit.

I have been coming to this bar since before COVID and the transformation to now is unbelievable. The actual bar itself is stunning and has a lot of televisions to watch sporting events. My friend and I came on a Saturday night and we enjoyed the great music selection and drinks. If I had a drink to recommend a delicious drink it would be the Pina Culiada. This is definitely the best bar in East LA/Boyle Heights!

the bar manager is super cool and designed the art inside the bar. it's a small bar but it's really cozy and has a great music playing. the drinks are great and they're made with homemade juices rather than syrups. the manager was super generous and made us feel right at home. definitely one of the best bars in east la!

Absolutely hands down the best time ever!!! Came here on a last min invite to hang out with an old high school acquaintance and it turned into an impromptu reunion. We ended up with a group of about 15 and the bartender was very attentive. The Morrissey karaoke is the absolute best and very fitting for my high school chums and I. I highly recommend you stop in and pay them a visit. Make sure to have a shot of their super smooth house tequila.

Never coming here again…read more I went last night to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in years and stepped outside for a moment to get some air because it was getting stuffy inside. The girl security was chill, the heftier guy must've not liked me or something because he was not trying to join the small talk I was making with the other security. I tell her I need to go inside and get my friend because we were leaving and the male security tells me there's "No Ins and Outs". I was literally going to go inside and get my friend and go. He doesn't let me. So then I spam my friend to let her know they're not letting me back inside. When she comes out I tell her my shoes are hurting and I take my heels off because we had to walk. He then accuses me of being messy drunk for being taking my heels off. Learn to read the room sir. We step away from the front and literally walk a few businesses over AWAY from the bar. This is how I know the security was looking for a problem. I tell my friend we don't have to worry about anyone messing with us on our walk because I have a tazer. I show it to her and press the button to let her know it works. The security guard leaves his post and walks towards us and tells me "now you have to leave because you're doing that" I was already leaving and he had no reason to walk towards me on the side walk he should have stayed at the front door. I wasn't even talking to him anymore. We were literally 2-3 businesses away. So I turned the tazer on and told him to leave, he approached us. There was no reason for him to walk up to us we already left. This man was looking for trouble. He needs to be fired. I was scared I was gonna have to use it if he got physical. Management should really look into that security guard because it makes me wonder how many patrons he actually messes with when he's on a machismo power trip. I am never coming back to this establishment again. You guys don't even deserve a star. How dare you allow your security to harass someone trying to leave. This man does not know how to diffuse situations properly. He needs to be fired. And then witnessing him trying to rewrite reality was truly disgusting. I'm so genuinely curious if he has history of getting physical with patrons. If he does, I'm certain he's not as innocent as he performs.

But once you find it, it's large, gated, and has a couple attendants watching the cars. You go upstairs and it opens up into a decent sized space. Large enough to hold people and dance, and small enough that you can see the band from every point in the bar. It has a long bar when you enter and looks like they'll take care of you for the night. At the far end of the venue is a little space. I'm not sure if they use that as their green room cuz it wasn't inviting you to come in. Overall, I think it's a decent venue. Not sure if the sound was an issue w the bands' equipment or The Paramount. I'd go back if a fave band of mine is playing.

I don't recall seeing an elevator so call before hand if you're in a wheel chair or are on crutches, because you have to go up a flight of stairs to get into the venue. Inside, it's cute and definitely looks like an old dance hall from the 1900's. I'd say this was a medium sized venue. The stage wasn't terribly high off the ground. There's a big, beautiful, bar and a disco ball and it has a lot of charm since it's an older venue. Seeing a show here feels less stressful than seeing one in downtown or Hollywood. It's not my favorite venue but it's definitely a good time and more intimate than the downtown venues and free parking is always a plus.

Felt as though I were in México, not in Distrito Federal but in a less cosmopolitan city where in the old days Straights and Gays kind of mixed together although in some bigger venues there were areas where Gays had their own corner. Redz Bar is too small for separation, and it makes it hard to determine who is who. I was there on a busy Saturday around 9pm. All the tables were taken by party goers. I stole one of the few bar stools still left. Beer & wine bar: Ordered a Michelada that is bloody mary mix from a bottle, lemon juice, worchester sauce?, Modelo Mexican beer. The lip of the huge mug is lined with a salty, not very piquant chile powder like El Tajín. It's a refreshing, savory, Umami bomb just perfect on a hot day or night. My first Michelada ever. So I look around and it seems like a regular neighborhood Latino bar. If there are any Gays they were sprinkled around and not particularly & obviously visible. The friendly bartendress offered a free plate of antojitos / snacks which consisted of a small Tamal de Puerco con Salsa de Chile Colorado, and a bowl of Bírria soup in consommé w/ a small piece of goat. To me this Bírria tasted closer to a Pozole. Very hospitable gesture by Redz to give out such a tasty mini-meal. Redz caters to an East Los Angeles clientele. It's a liitle piece of México. Music is loud with Norteño & Son Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz tonight. I felt comfortable, and a nice Latina lady sitting next to me talked in her limited English and I in limited Spanish.
