Pretty cool spot to have a drink or two, the ambience is more like a bar type pretty loud music it's not private to go on a date or so. The flavor is good the aguachiles are spicy and taste good with a michelada. There's not much attentiveness since there's only two waitresses and they seem to have their hands full. I am always weary of restaurants in my hood with mirrors on the wall. You know which ones I am talking about. However, this place exceeded my expectations despite the mirrors aligned across the wall. We ordered an order of aguachiles, 2 gobernador tacos, and a kid's cheeseburger order with a Modelo Michelada and a draft craft beer. The michelada was so good. The tamarindo-chamoy stick brought it to another level. The draft beer was from a local brewing company and I didn't like it but hey, you can't like them all. Now, the tacos. They were exceptionally good. I added some of the table salsa with roasted chiles each bite of the taco was an explosion of flavor. As for the aguachiles, the serving size was bigger than I am used to at other establishments. Music was good. Service was excellent. Place is clean including the restrooms. We'll be back. Mexican Mariscos!!!! OK guys this is a hidden GEM in Boyle Heights almost ELA..... Its on Whittier Blvd. close to Indiana... Great location but for some kind of reason you just kind of miss it... I drive by here at least 4times per week and I knew of it but didn't remember exactly where.... Hmmm? AND THE BEST PART!!!! IT HAS ITS OWN PARKING!!!!!! For those of you who are familiar with the area know that many establishments around there don't have PARKING!!!!!! This place is neat and clean... It features an "A" from the health dept. As we all know the current economy has taken its toll on most small businesses and many of us can not afford to go out to eat quite often. Most restaurant I have been to recently have changed their menu's. They have not added and new things just raised the prices. ALLOT!!!! WTF!!!!! Well, my friends. I assure you that this place has prices you cant beat. They are very reasonable.... Really! The owner, tino has promised that, "he will not raise the prices"!!! Damn it! In one sitting lilo and i could only eat so much... but we ordered lots and took dogie bags to go. Take Note: most Mexican seafood places fill the plate with salad, fries, rice and so on. This place actually serves more of the dish you ordered and the sides are actually small. SO! you get a plate of what you ordered and not an appetizer with rice n salad..... For you white folks... the fish fillet (red snapper) in garlic sauce is super delicioso. I was expecting a Little ass paper thin fish stick. But noooo! this was a fat, juicy, thick fillet that took up half the big plate. If you ate the fish alone you would be full. But were pigs so we ate everything... (pic) We also ordered the Pulpo (octopussy) in garlic sauce.... Well since i don't look too Mexican or Korean the garlic was light for me but for most, it would be perfect. This dish featured a WHOLE,COMPLETE octopus in garlic sauce. The plate was served with a beautiful complete octopus curling his tentacles with pride looking at me expecting approval. As he noticed my smile, he gave his last breath and said "be gentle"... (pic) We also ordered another plate, don't remember exactly the name but it features a variety of seafood and the presentation was good with crab legs around the plate. (pic) As if the plate wanted to run from my salivating chompers.... For DESSERT!!! Get this! since we were expected, they made a whole FLAN (see pic) cake.... I hate sweets and usually never have dessert! really! but one taste of this FLAN made me order another....... and another to go!! Wasn't sweet at all..... just sweet enough! PERFECT!!! NO SHIT!!! This place features; whole fried fish shrimp, anyway you can think of lobster and lobster combo's they tell me they have a karaoke night/s *** NOTE: anyone of you that visits this place will get free Corona Beer if you tell them you heard of this place from ME!!!!! just tell your server tino and George, said so!!...... A big group of 10 hungry guys went down to have some lunch Sunday. I noticed this new place while driving through Boyle Heights and I love to try new Mexican food restaurants. My friends had mariscos and shrimp, we all shared quesadillas and I had tacos de papa and fish tacos. Everything was great! The habanero salsa and chips they serve when you arrive are sooo tasty and I'm not a salsa guy! The sauce on the quesadillas and fish tacos were great, especially the spicy pink sauce - it was awesome. 5 stars because service was great, fast and friendly. I'll be back! read more

Come for the food, not the service. The food has a home cooked taste to it. It is not greasy or have an industrial taste to it. The salsa they provide for their dishes is also well made. Something like your Mexican buddy's Grandmother would make. Order the whole fried fish or diced carne asada dish. Can't go wrong with these two dishes. read more

We pulled off the freeway to find a bite and pulled in here on our way down Whittier Blvd. Place is known for seafood, and we had pastor and pollo tacos, and a pastor burrito. I can only assume the seafood is excellent, because these were some of the best pastor and pollo tacos I've ever eaten! The loud music was okay, just know it's not a quiet place. I'd give it five stars for the food, three to four for service, four for the price, and three-plus for the restaurant and experience; so four stars. We did get 10% off for checking in on Yelp, and the manager and waitress didn't know about it but they gave the discount anyway. read more

I came to visit and my dear friends Lando and Denise took me to get a feel for the East LA vibe. This place was just perfect for that! Cold beer and great music. Out of the way? Not if you're on I-5 headed south in East LA...clean, roomy venue with great food! It's definitely worth a stop-over for a hearty lunch...I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and Mahi-mahi. Keeping my stomach from making its usual hunger noises, the chips and in-house-made fresh salsa were above par. The restaurant's large booths and cozy atmosphere would easily satisfy a large crowd or a two-some out on a date. Don't forget on your return trip north to hang a right and feast on the Ceviche! I've been here a handful of times and have always enjoyed it. Portions are 5/5. Staff is 4/5, Not the most friendly but not rude either. Cost is 3.5/5, a little pricy but the freshness and size seem to compensate for that slightly. Cleanliness has never been an issue, but today I looked down to find a roach scurrying down a wall directly underneath me (I was at the bar). It then moseyed on the ground, at a leisurely pace midday because it obviously was comfortable there. Made me lose my appetite because I had to kill it since it wasn't really leaving my vicinity. Went there on a Monday night with the family and we had the fish plate, carne asada plate, quesadilla al pastor plate, a couple of carne asada tacos, and a chicken torta with 5 non-alcoholic drinks. saw this place on yelp so I thought I would try it out. Was surprised on how good it was. The campanchana was delicious full of shrimp, oysters, everything was good. The chorizo and cheese was good. my girlfriends plate was good that she ate everything looked at me and said I'm Stuffed :) . The only problem was when I checked in with yelp I got a 10% off but the waitress didn't know anything about yelp and would not let me use it. That is the only bad side other than that all good.
