A true hole in the wall. This is a tiny seafood restaurant in Boyle Heights with delicious entrees that have a very homemade style of cooking. The lady who took our order was very nice. They're open for take out only but since it was only the two of us, she said we can pull the table from outside and rearrange the chairs to eat inside. I have a high tolerance for spice and their chili is so spicy, it cleared up my sinuses. I added salt to reduce the heat and it really helped combat the spice level. If you love avocado, they do not skimp on it. The empanadas were freshly fried, didn't taste greasy and were soft in the middle. While we were there, they had several customers pick up orders and I could tell they were regular locals because the lady knew them very well.

The food is amazing here! My favorite go to order is their mojarra it's always so good and always comes out hot and fresh. The service is amazing too from the cook/owner to the waiters they're all very kind people . This is definitely a place I would recommend to go to for seafood!

Food was amazing! Lady was very nice to us and accommodated to everything we wanted! Fish was amazing and the shrimp tacos/ceviche was even better! Almost didnt stop but glad we did!

Best ceviche in East Los Angeles! Strongly recommend the fish ceviche and the tacos dorados. This small business is family owned and been in the neighborhood for years, if you're craving fresh seafood eat local and support this establishment. They have new hours: Monday to Sunday : 11am-7pm (closed Wednesdays only) Someone keeps reporting this business as closed on google and it's hurting their sales. Please help them out, the neighborhood needs this ceviche fix! Cash only!

This is a hidden gem in Boyle heights. You can tell it's a good mom and pop mariscos spot as there were families that knew the owners also enjoying lunch when I visited. I had the campechana cocktail which had a bonus oyster in top. The cocktail was too watery for my liking I wish it had more of a lime or Clamato flavor as a base as it was missing flavor. The shrimp taco order automatically comes with 4 tacos which is super cheap for $8. Unfortunately the fried tacos get soggy in the tomato sauce they top it with and they were also missing flavor. Another downside is that they don't sell liquor. I would have been happy to pair my seafood with a corona and salt to add flavor to rh. This place is still a decent option to get your mariscos fix.

The mariscos was really good. I try the camarones a la diabla, agua chiles and shrimp empanadas. Everything was very delicious. Prices are reasonable and customer service excellent. The lady infront was really nice.

I was expecting more from this location. Some of the other reviews are right, they do take long to get your drinks out. The food was not bad but not the best I've had either. The fish and was a little too salty for our taste. Overall had a good experience but won't be returning.

This place is Amazing!!! 3rd time going & it never fails !!! Highly recommend this place if you love seafood! Try their molcajetes con todo !! Rated 4 stars due to no parking availability & it does get very crowded minimal seating.

We yelped seafood in East LA, several spots came up, we decided to come here. Wow, great choice!! We drove down from West LA, it took about 20 minutes to get there. We arrived, there was parking in the street and in the back of the restaurant. We parked in the street, we walked through the front door, the seating area was in the back, the patio. It was perfect, there were plenty of fans and covers to block the sun. Its definitely a hole in the wall, but definitely worth it!! They bring you a botana de ceviche de camaron with salsa verde and tostadas, delicious. We ordered the ceviche de camaron crudo(bigger shrimp), very spicy but amazing! Then we went w an order ceviche de camaron cooked al mojo de ajo (cooked in garlic), finger licking good! We then finished it off w a pescado sarandeado (fish cooked in the grill both sides at the same time), meat was just falling right off the bone, added some tortillas, that was everything!! They serve water, mexican bottled drinks, and soda cans. They do not serve beer, but bring your 12 or 24 pack, they dont mind. What can i say, great little spot to come and enjoy w friends!!

Didn't expect that the space at the back is big. A very small store from outside and yet spacious at the back. I like the rugged ambience with the tables, lights, and all. I am not so impressed with the food though- We did a to go, so maybe the bomb food they were saying here is the one I should try to convince me. oh well, love the place (mexican theme), but not the food- I will come back to try other choices MAYBE.

I ordered the empanadas de camaron which were a good size and tasted great. I also ordered the ceviche de camaron and that was also a large portion that can feed up to two people. I personally like my shrimp deveined but ceviche was still good. Aguachile sauce is great and real spicy.

Hidden gem goodness! If you're looking for some authentic Mexican seafood spots, this is def one of them. If you're driving too fast, you might pass this location but if you're cruising in your hooptey, you might get lucky. Menu is in Spanish, so it helps if you know the language or traveling w a local. So many variations of ceviche and the portions are very generous. There are a lot of other seafood plates, cocktails, and soups, that I didn't get to try. I honestly was full after just one of the ceviche dishes. The tostada portions are super huge too, so plan accordingly. Will be back fo shooo ;)

Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. Social media brought me here and I'm unsure if I would come back again due to personal experience. If a friend wants to come by I wouldn't object to it but I wouldn't make my way out here on my own. Food was good but no wow factor, skip to the bottom for food description. My fluently Spanish speaking friend called in the order to avoid us waiting too long. I went to pick it up with different friend ( we both don't speak Spanish..). We told the staff that we called in the order she went in and grabbed the receipt $74.25 total. I handed her $84.25 she went inside with our money while we waited. She came back out with the box of food neatly packed, receipt taped to box didn't have any dollar amount only the list of what was ordered. I asked her "my change? my money" she looked at me stunned.. and she said "oh your change..." She came back out with five $1 bills and a single $5 bill. She had in one hand my receipt and $1 plus a $5 bill on top of the receipt covering, totaling $6 while she was handing me that she said "seis dinero." I kept telling her "no I need $10.. I gave you $84.25.." She still said "yes $6." One hand had $6 with my receipt, other hand the $4. I pulled my calculator out and typed in 84.25 to show her. She said "yes $10" and handed me all the bills.. I'm not sure what was miscommunicated or what was misunderstood.. but there was no reason for her to hold the other $4 in her other hand if she wanted to give me back a total of $10 in change. I later see on the printed receipt that whoever manned the registered entered only $80.25 Tostada Aguachile Verde -good, flavorful and fresh. Al Gobernador (tacos)- Sinaloa type of shrimp tacos. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and not overly cooked. Shrimp was super flavorful paired with chopped onions and bell peppers. My favorite out of the things we tried. This might be a better option if you personally don't really like tortilla that's just heated up and not fried. Ensenada Camaron (tacos)- shrimp was a bit overcooked under the batter. Batter was light and fluffy. Didn't personally like the tortilla it's served on. Dorados (tacos)- seems to be their signature dish, deep fried shrimp tacos. Shell was crispy and shrimp inside is well seasoned and doesn't come out overcooked. Good but not wow. Ensenada Pescado (tacos)- fish was buttery and flakey, batter was light and fluffy. Also didn't like the tortillas it's served on.

We arrived at about 10am (opening time) and we were able to find a good spot in the private parking lot. There were at least 10 other people that must've had the same idea and show up early to beat the traffic. We opted for the grilled halibut and seabass dishes with garlic bread, rice, salad, and ceviche. Even though it was a little cool from the rainy weather, it was still nice enough to eat outside in an enclosed patio with electric heaters. They also have two restroom facilities for any bathroom needs. The main area where we ordered was also where we picked up our orders. We also had the option to call ahead and place orders for pick up/to go. Those were processed in the Seafood Market section (where they had different fresh fish and seafood options). The food was pretty good--opted for garlic butter sauce for the fish and it was the perfect complement to the halibut, but the sea bass was honestly so tender that it needed no sauce. The salad and dressing were as expected. Same with the rice. All of these portions were pretty big. The garlic bread was also pretty tasty and a juge portion, but the ceviche, although good, was a smaller portion than expected. It was fresh and quite flavorful and came with a side of chips. The food was delicious, environment was nice, and we came across others that made the trek out early to enjoy the food at this spot. Will definitely visit again in the future.
