Delicious shrimp tacos (tacos de camarones) here! Among some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had thus far. The shell was nice and crispy with a meaty shrimp filling. The shrimp was plump and flavorful. What amped up the flavor was the salsa on top which was super flavorful and fresh and not too salty for me. I also liked the creamy avocado on top. Everything held together well and it wasn't too messy to eat. I would keep coming back here for these alone. This is a food truck, but they actually have a designated indoor seating with ample tables and chairs and even bathrooms! Parking is street parking. Always a great place to grab quality shrimp tacos if you are in the area! The crispy taco shells are NEXT level. The shrimp are also always so juicy and flavorful. The salsa is also quite refreshing too. I think the indoor seating area is new since the last time I came here, which was great and has AC (clutch for the summer time!). Mariscos Jaliscos has been on my list for a while now. This lint season i have been on a Mariscos journey trying out new spots in the ELA/BH area, especially on Friday's. Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. We ordered the tacos dorados de camarón ($3 each) and they were honestly the highlight--super good, piping hot and packed with a lot of shrimp. They come topped with salsa and avocado which adds a nice balance to the crispy taco. We also asked which aguachile was spicier, the red or the green, and they recommended the red, so we went with that. The 16 oz aguachile rojo ($20) was definitely spicy and comes with avocado and tostadas on the side, which made it great for sharing. Service was quick on a Monday afternoon, which was nice. The only downside is parking--street parking is pretty limited. They do have a small lot but it's $10 valet, so just keep that in mind. read more

There's street parking to get here and even that could be tricky. Expect to parallel park. The line moves quickly and the staff are nice and friendly. The food is ready fairly quick. They have an indoor seating area with some simple tables and chairs. There's restrooms available. I got the shrimp tacos. They were hot and fresh. It's a nice crispy crunch with each bite. It's flavorful and the avocado is a nice touch. The sauce used keeps the plate wet which might make the tacos soggy. Music is festive noise level and just barely below too loud, where it feels like a party while dining here. Expect some sticky menu and tables to match your experience. Staff is really nice! $6.35 Poseidos (octopus shrimp) tacos. Spicy level can't be changed, and it's definitely spicy (medium spicy). Those who are mild will not tolerate it. $19.25 La Perrona (octopus shrimp) tostadas. The spicy is medium and can't be changed. It was our server's favorite. So good!!! Huge. I'm sure it's meant to be split with another person. $4.60 Aguas Frescas Naturales. They were out of Jamaica today mid afternoon Thursday. But they had cucumber lime though. It's was good. I finally set out to Boyle Heights to see what this hype was all about. Did it live up to the hype? Yes, it did! For the price of $6, you get two tacos. You really can't beat that deal! 2 Tacos won't fill you up, but it's a satisfying meal. I liked the display of the Tacos de Camarón here as it's not as smothered with salsa as 4 Vientos. It also comes with a slice of lime with is a nice touch. The portion size was much smaller than Mariscos 4 Vientos and had less shrimp as well. However, the quality of the shrimp tasted better here. It was also less starchy tasting than 4 Vientos. I would definitely come back here again for a Tacos de Camarón. I also want to try the Tostadas here. read more

I haven't been in ages. I use to love the taco Cameron. Crunchy tacos with large shrimp tops succulent ripe slices of avocado. I was so excited to devour them again. Ordered and ate outside on 07/06/25 and 07/12/25 again - significantly more potato in the taco than last time. Tried the Poseidon, ceviche the camaron, and tacos de camaron. Poseidon had a spicy kick for sure and felt like the ceviche could use more acidity and texture as the shrimp is cut into super small pieces. Favorite part was definitely the octopus pieces, which were tasty and not chewy! Service was super accommodating and quick; I forgot cash and the staff was kind enough let me Zelle / Venmo. Make sure you bring cash to support! Great prices as per usual, after two tacos, one Poseidon, and one ceviche it came out to be $27 before tip. Between two people, we had leftovers to bring home. We ordered 4 tacos de camaron which are crispy shrimp tacos along with a ceviche tostada and an aguachile tostada. This place will be a must visit from now every time I visit LA. We arrived on a slow Tuesday afternoon and there were a few people waiting for their orders. Had to wait about 10 minutes for our order to be made. What I didn't know is that they also have seating in the building they're parked next to. With bathrooms and all. That was very convenient because I didn't want to eat all of this in my rental. Service was also great. Very friendly people in that truck. My son and I both got two shrimp tacos each. You get a perfect crunchy taco with a mixture of shrimp and potatoes, then topped with a tomato salsa and avocado. A truly amazing experience. My son wasn't looking forward to this place was just as amazed in the delicious these tacos were. He's definitely down to come back again as well. I also ordered an aguachile tostada. That's another thing Chicago is lacking. Some damn good aguachiles. These weren't as spicy as I have preferred but that's probably a good thing since I was traveling. Stopped by for just a quick taste today on my way through. Absolute wow, no wonder this place has so many awards. The freshness of the seafood in the Tacos de Camaron just blew us away. Sometimes the most delicious foods are simple and affordable. Mariscos Jalisco shrimp tacos and ceviche are the best in LA. Every one of their food trucks serve the same amazing quality seafood, although I think this one on Olympic is slightly better. What I don't understand is why the truck parked up the street with a "4" in the name has a longer line. The food here is much better and they also have better service. This place is a staple of LA Mexican food especially for seafood. The taco de camaron is their mainstay with their very crunchy shell and sauce and tender shrimp and fillings. Their ceviche is also excellent especially when I order tostada mixto which comes with octopus fish and shrimp together which goes together very well and it is very tender. I would love to come back to try their Poseidon and peinados. The staff is very chill and orderly and the seating is basically just the establishment across from it. The parking is somewhat hard to find when it's a popular time but you'll eventually find parking if you look jaes enough. read more
