I was playing pool at the far-right table when the male bartender went to clean the small restroom in the corner. He left the door wide open afterward, to air it out but the chemical fumes were overwhelming. I couldn't stand the smell, so I closed the door. Next thing I know, the bartender comes around and presses me for doing so. Seriously? I paid for the beer and the table, and now I'm supposed to just sit there breathing in whatever chemical cocktail he left brewing in the bathroom smh. On Sunday night, I went out with a group to hang out and play pool at this place. The issue began when I attempted to close my tab and return my card; I had previously asked a bartender to close my tab but never received my card back. I asked the staff member in blue whether I had been charged for anything and explained that I did not authorize any charges beyond the first order, and that if my group used my name, I should not be billed. I requested that someone else in my group settle the tab if needed and asked for confirmation that I would not be charged after the first order. The staff member became defensive and confrontational, accused me of being disrespectful, and told me to get my "drunk friend home." The situation escalated as I reiterated my request for no further charges and sought verbal confirmation. Security was then called; a short Hispanic guard approached and placed his hands on me without any warning or a clear request to exit. I began recording for my safety and to request verbal confirmation that my card had not been charged. I asked him not to touch me and I backed away, unsure of the nearest exit and feeling cornered. The root cause, in my view, was a combination of the staff member's dismissive attitude and the failure to return my card or confirm charges after the first order, which caused an unnecessary confrontation and safety concern. read more

Overall this place has a great ambience with a great brew selection. I believe they have five pool tables, but one is reserved for private parties. I went during late afternoon, and it wasn't too packed. But I have experienced it on a Friday or Saturday night, and this place tents get pretty packed. Security there found my lost item "turned it in to the lost and found" but couldn't find it told me to come back the next day, I come back the next day to speak w/ manager and of course they couldn't find the lost item.. manager tells me another story that the beanie isn't there someone took it. So in my head you mean to tell me you lost my lost item and All of a sudden it was stolen? I was this close to calling DOWNEY P.D to file a report against this bar because their employees in this establishment find anything that was left behind and KEEP IT. This item was of sentimental value. I literally live around the corner and been coming here for years but obviously not anymore. Decent spot for the local community or if you're in the area. Wouldn't drive out of my way for this place. Limited parking available. Medium sized location, wasn't too crowded in the early evening but seen a crowd after 9:00 pm. Limited pool tables available so it takes some patience getting one. No full bar. Most of the beer sold is craft beer, which I prefer. Several different options. I would recommend sticking with a beer you're familiar with because the bartenders/waitress don't know anything about craft beer and you're not able to sample. Also, no flights available (I'm guessing since it's not a brewery). I ordered two beers that I was familiar with and wanted to try something new for the third. The third beer was horrible, tasted like it was expired or a bad batch, attempted to return it but waitress/manager said I couldn't. Bad customer experience and service. This place is definitely more of a sports bar than a place to explore new craft beer. So, if you're in the area and want to play pool or watch sports then this might be your place. However, to try new craft beers I would recommend the brewery in the city or surrounding cities. read more
