I know a few years back we caught the Stanley Cup finals game in here and it was a great experience. My buddies and I will visit to catch some of the Sunday football games. Can definitely get a nice big and cold pour. Menu is pretty straightforward and simple good bar food. Had the burgers here and haven't disappointed. Typically we're going for like a nacho plate or something simple with some salt to pair up with the beers. I will say the service is been pretty solid every time we've been. They're pretty attentive at the tables and there's plenty of tables to be seated at. My husband and I went to Kelly's Korner Tavern on Yorba Linda Blvd to watch the Stanley Cup finals--possibly the last game. We watched the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup and we were watching the celebration afterwards when an employee came and changed the channel. We told him we were watching it and he said the game was over. We told him we were watching the team celebrate and he just walked away and did not change it back. The thing was he changed it to a fight that was on the TV right next to the one we were watching! He was so rude, that we will not go back to Kelly's. Just may be of the best bars around! Kelly's Korner offers over 30 beers, some seltzers, and a few wine options. That's it! No hard liquor here. But their beer selections isn't just hoppy IPAs. They offer a wide variety of ciders and sours too. I'm a cider drinker, and I never see more than one cider on tap at any given bar. Kelly's had at least 4! We went on a Friday night and it was just the right amount of busy. Everyone was having a good time watching their sport of choice and the bartenders were super nice and informative. A recent trip up north (on a Sunday) for work took me to a part of Southern California that I had never been to before - Placentia. Honestly, if you handed me a map I wouldn't be able to point it out, but that's not the point. The point is that it was Sunday and I had some time to kill before they could check me into my hotel and you know what that means... football Sunday! A handy Yelp search did not steer me wrong and I pulled up to Kelly's for a seat at the bar and some football. This is one of those places that when you sit down you say to yourself (as a sports fan), "I wish I had a place like this close to my house." Kelly's is perfectly dim, the crowd is at a constant 7-8 noise level, there are TVs everywhere allowing for a great view of all the games, the staff is very attentive, they have an appealing brunch menu, and the prices are very good. I could have sat in this joint all day if I didn't have some work to do.
