Old school Korean-style Chinese food. No frills, no fancy decor - just good Chinese food at decent prices. It was pretty full on a Thursday evening, but there were still a table or two open. I went and ordered the seafood jjangppong (spicy noodle soup) and the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The broth in the noodle soup was nice and spicy, definitely hit the spot. The pork in the tangsuyuk is sliced thinner than other places, but it made for nice bite sized morsels. The sweet and sour sauce was thick and heavy, definitely old school style. The dishes must've been freshly washed, as they had a strong bleach odor to them. That did take away from the aroma of the food, so I wish the bleach smell wasn't so strong. Overall, I'd definitely come back here if I were craving OG Korean-style Chinese food. I'll have to try the jjajjangmyun (black bean noodles) next time.

3 gems dish was ok

I think this place does mostly take out for regulars because the food is pretty good but it's not a big or fancy place. Parking is also an issue because there's a AYCE Korean bbq in the same strip mall so you might have to park on the street or around the corner. Still, came for the black bean noodles which were good. Also tried the 3 gems dish which was ok but a bit pricey. Service was basic as the ladies were busy getting takeout orders ready.

Restaurant is small but clean. Service was not very friendly but they got it done. Strip mall parking. The food was delicious. Not too salty and served hot and fresh. My beef was tender and the veggies were still crisp. We'll be back.

The atmosphere leaves much to be desired but the place is clean and they serve classic Korean-Chinese food. The fried shrimp with spicy garlic sauce is perfection but ask for sauce on the side because it gets soggy quick.

Might be my new favorite jjajangmyeon spot. The sauce was perfectly flavorful. I wish the noodles were hotter because it was lukewarm, I'm guessing they premade some for the lunch rush. The tangsuyook was crunchy and delicious. I prefer the sauce on the side, but no complaints as it was so yummy. Will definitely bring everyone I know.

OK food, friendly staff in a no frills setting, very NYC Chinatown vibe. Not sure I need to go back. Not sure what Eater Ordered, but was not thrilled with the black bean noodles. We must have ordered the wrong items if Eater claims it's an essential OC must try for Korean food.

Great please for spicy Korean style soup! Delicious seafood broth and amazing Szechuan chicken! They also provide free hot tea, kimchi, and pickled radishes (I think). The service was excellent as well. Ambience leaves more to be desired but I wasn't expecting much just by looking at the pictures. The food definitely makes up for it though!

Black bean noodle and spicy noodle are staple. Very yummy! But the spicy tomato shrimp was very good! Make sure to order a bowl of rice as well. Highly recommend that yall try different menu besides black bean noodle and jjamppong

Jajangmyeon

Im just a white boy with some korean friends and I heard of Jajangmyeon one day and thought it sounded so good. One of them recommended I come to this place. They did not lead me astray. I absolutely loved the dish. Additionally the complementary kimchi and tea was excellent. All for a reasonable price in my opinion aswell. Highly recommend.

Before we walked in, we knew this spot would be great. We were on a quest to find delicious jjangmyeon and stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall, authentic Korean spot. There was a lot of seating and the interior decoration made it feel homey. We ordered the jjangmyeon, sweet and sour pork, and spicy noodle soup. As we waited, we were served kimchi and radish as an appetizer. The kimchi tasted fresh and it was one of my favorite kimchis made because it wasn't too fermented. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were pretty large. The jjangmyeon tasted fantastic and the sweet and sour pork was the perfect pair. The spicy noodle soup was so flavorful and the noodles were a great texture. It was such a great meal, I will be back for more. The people here are so friendly and very attentive. The food was fantastic and I really enjoyed my experience. Parking can be tight since there's only a few spots for a couple of businesses. We went at night, so it wasn't too much of a problem. Highly recommend!

From the friendly service that made us feel like home, to the delicious food, everything hit the spot. We ordered the cold noodle, seafood pancake, bibambap, and short rib combo. All the dishes were so good! And all the banchan that came with it was the cherry on top. The only negative was the table was kind of small for all the dishes...though that could have been user error with us ordering way too much. Portions were surprisingly big, especially the seafood pancake. The whole time, our littlest one was making a mess and the ladies that worked there did not seem perturbed at all, and kept commenting about how cute he was and interacting with him. This type of service and response made us feel more at ease and able to "enjoy" our meal, and that makes a world of difference. I would recommend! Note the parking lot is a little small.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

I highly recommend the seafood pork bone soup noodle because it was super tasty, but be aware that mild is still kind of spicy. The lady in the front was strict but reasonable, just like any real place should be. Customers were mostly family they knew the place and chatted with the boss. The atmosphere is very simple with tables that you can sit anywhere.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I've had at a BCD Tofu location. Right away, one of our rice bowls never came out. We mentioned it to our server and she said she'd bring it over, but she never did. We kept waiting while everyone else was already eating. Then came the part that honestly grossed all of us out. We had stacked all of our dirty side dish plates together to help clear space on the table. When we asked for refills on the banchan, instead of bringing fresh plates, the server literally unstacked the dirty used plates from the pile and started refilling those same dirty plates. That felt extremely unsanitary and honestly like something a health inspector or corporate would not be okay with at all. To make things worse, when we asked for a water refill, the server spilled water all over my Crocs and socks. Accidents happen, but there was barely any apology or urgency after it happened. The floor was also super dirty and the entire restaurant just felt poorly maintained. Between the careless service, lack of cleanliness, and unsanitary handling of dishes, this location seriously needs improvement. We came in excited to finally have a comforting meal after a long weekend and left completely disappointed.
