Authentic Korean gems found here--just come early! If you're hunting for truly authentic Korean cuisine, stop scrolling. This is the spot. * The Main Event: We ordered their specialty wraps, and they did not disappoint. The portions are generous come hungry! You can tell they take pride in the quality here. * The Vibe: It's an intimate, cozy space decorated with mouth-watering photos of their menu items (which helps if you're indecisive!). * The Service: 10/10. Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly attentive and nice. Once we were seated, the food came out impressively fast. A few things to know before you go: * Space is limited: It's a small venue, so there's almost always a wait. If you have a group, I'd highly recommend arriving well before you're actually starving. * Parking: It can be a bit of a puzzle. Plan to spend a few extra minutes scouting a spot

Soybean stew and banchan
Levis K.

Delicious food, but small spot and a small mishap. Ordered the bossam (steamed pork) with doenjang jiggae (soybean stew) and veggie wrap combo. The food was actually very good and flavorful. The banchan also had plenty of flavor and uniqueness that stands out from other Korean restaurants. The service is good and friendly. Keep in mind this is a small spot so they are pretty attentive. With that said, this is not a good place for groups unless you're willing to wait a bit to have the combine tables. The mishap: The steamed pork had plastic on the sides of almost each piece. I brought this up to the waitress who spoke to the kitchen crew and told me that before they steamed it they wrapped it in plastic to make it easier to roll and they must have forgotten to take it off after steaming. At the very least, they owned up to it and apologized. Another thing to note. The parking lot is small (shared lot) and the parking spaces are small too so expect to see people parked on the lines. The driveway is also not very low car friendly, FYI. Overall, if it weren't for the plastic pieces, this would have been perfect. The combo it came out to about $56 before tip which was on the somewhat fair, somewhat pricey side. For two people it was still plenty. (Visit 2/28/26)

Marinated Beef Hot-Stone Bibimbap

Came in for lunch with my aunt. We were craving authentic Korean dishes. Parking: There's a small parking lot with plenty of open spots. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small indoor space with a decent amount of seating. It's very clean inside. The tables, chairs, booths, and utensils are clean. It's a very casual and welcoming. It wasn't busy at all for a weekday. Service: We were greeted immediately when we entered. Our server was nice, attentive, and efficient. She checked on us a few times. I found a piece of hair in the vegetable wrap, and she was very apologetic and immediately came back with a new vegetable wrap. Our dishes also came out under 15 min after ordering. Food & drinks: You get complimentary tea or hot tea for the table. So delicious! The banchan was marinated to perfection and paired deliciously with the main courses! 1) #22 Spicy Chicken + soybean paste stew + vegetable wrap - The chicken was cooked thoroughly and not spicy at all. It was seasoned well and had a lil kick to it. I made use of the new vegetable wrap by taking a lettuce and placing chicken, carrot, and cucumber and rolling it up. The soybean paste stew was a bit salty for my taste, but perfect for the cold weather. 2) Marinated Beef Hot-Stone Bibimbap - The sizing of the hot-stone plate was large! The rice was crispy on the bottom and topped with a generous amount of vegetables. The beef tasted as expected. Make sure to drench it in sauce to give it more flavor. Pricing: Prices in general have gone up over the years. Looking at the menu, these are average prices now. We'd definitely come back for the kind service and authentic Korean dishes.

Hanmi strikes again! Old update: Came here with my work coworkers couple months ago and got gamjatang which was absolutely delicious. Today's update: Came here today with another coworker and I got the kimchi stew to soothe my soul. Hanmi makes really good kimchi stew. It is authentic and thick and full of flavor! I love how fast our food comes out and the consistency in our food taste. If there is a restaurant that's authentic, it's Hanmi. I will be back.

Gamjatang

Stumbled upon this place when the original Korean restaurant I was going to go to up the street from this turned out to be closed. And wow, so glad I decided to drive down for this place! The banchan spread here was beautiful. I was in awe of how the different types plus all the veggies! There was cucumber radish, beansprouts, spinach, eggplant, shishito peppers, a tomato vinegrette salad, jap chae, fish cake, and if I'm missing anything - you can see the pic for yourself. They were all soo delicious! Was feeling under the weather and needed some korean soups/tangs I ordered the gamjatang and to my surprise, they used pork ribs instead of pork neck bones which works too. The potato was cooked to perfection, and broth was flavorful. It was definitely heavier. You get a choice between white or purple rice as well. My partner got the samgyetang and the broth was thicker and creamier than other places! It was definitely different to us because all the other samgyetangs we've had are thinner and lighter broths. Got served cold corn tea and shared a table with another couple. It was an experience! I would totally come back here if I was ever in the area again. Come support the sweet ladies here!

Tofu soup (seafood)

My friend took me here after raving about their tofu soup and she was right! Their seafood tofu soup (I believe #5?) was delicious & flavor packed. We also got the bossam which comes with soybean soup - it was perfect amount of food for us two. Would recommend for Korean soup cravings :) Service is friendly & quick - the ambiance is very homey. Plenty of parking in the lot as well.

Cold noodle set with marinated beef

This was my second time coming here. You'll notice that it's not the fanciest place but it's warm, cozy, home cooked meal place. Everything tastes so fresh and healthy. Some might complain that it's not salty enough?? But this place is so perfect for people who loves eating Korean home cooked meals. Side dishes changes by season. This was my first time getting cold noodles and second time giving a shot to cold noodles and I love it! My first time was another restaurant I didn't really like it that much bc it was too acidic. But here, it's perfect! So perfect with chives pancakes and beef. Ajumas are also really nice. If you want a refill of side dishes, they will refill it for you. I love that I got to hit my fiber goals with fresh veggies. Everything is on "lighter" side. It tastes so good and so healthy.

Awesome bossam

The servers were really nice and the food was really good!! I wish there were more parilla leaves and butter lettuce was served instead of romaine.

Love finding solid Korean restaurants and this is in a very inconspicuous plaza. Tucked away in the corner, this place serves amazing food and you know it's a good Korean restaurant when their side dishes are good too. I got the perilla chicken soup and my parents shared the dumpling jongol which is a big pot filled with dumplings, rice cake, veggies and even udon noodles. Both were delicious! I was so focused on trying to get all the meat off my chicken that I didn't get to drink too much of my soup, BUT great thing to take back home and add things to eat for a future meal. The chicken meat was so tender and fell right off the bone. Definitely will be coming back to try more

Abalone porridge exactly as it was packed and given to me by the restaurant.
Jul C.

I ordered an abalone porridge at Hanmi Restaurant, and the portion was shockingly small, just enough for one person -- yet it cost about $28 including tax. I couldn't believe how tiny the serving was. When I called ahead, this dish wasn't even on the menu. If they had explained that it was an off-menu item *and* that the portion was this small, I honestly wouldn't have ordered it. It felt like a complete waste of money.

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

I highly recommend the seafood pork bone soup noodle because it was super tasty, but be aware that mild is still kind of spicy. The lady in the front was strict but reasonable, just like any real place should be. Customers were mostly family they knew the place and chatted with the boss. The atmosphere is very simple with tables that you can sit anywhere.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I've had at a BCD Tofu location. Right away, one of our rice bowls never came out. We mentioned it to our server and she said she'd bring it over, but she never did. We kept waiting while everyone else was already eating. Then came the part that honestly grossed all of us out. We had stacked all of our dirty side dish plates together to help clear space on the table. When we asked for refills on the banchan, instead of bringing fresh plates, the server literally unstacked the dirty used plates from the pile and started refilling those same dirty plates. That felt extremely unsanitary and honestly like something a health inspector or corporate would not be okay with at all. To make things worse, when we asked for a water refill, the server spilled water all over my Crocs and socks. Accidents happen, but there was barely any apology or urgency after it happened. The floor was also super dirty and the entire restaurant just felt poorly maintained. Between the careless service, lack of cleanliness, and unsanitary handling of dishes, this location seriously needs improvement. We came in excited to finally have a comforting meal after a long weekend and left completely disappointed.
