I'm so happy I found this place! I went with two friends this past Sunday, and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, and the service was above and beyond. We ordered the spicy stir-fried chicken with vegetables and the pork cutlet--both were incredibly flavorful without being too salty or sweet. The portions were huge, but we kept eating anyway because it was just so delicious. Plus, the side dishes were amazing! The prices are very reasonable, too. I'll definitely be back soon.

Definitely one of the best sit down korean spots you can eat. Theres a simple menu but all cooked fresh with a lot of love. Theres 4 sets of tables (not for big parties) and a bathroom. Plenty of parking as its in a shopping plaza but i recommend calling in your order whether you are sitting or togo. It's a small mom and pop so you will need to be patient to be rewarded with great taste. There are definitely other korean places to consider but considering the price, location, and authenticity you can't beat it. I highly recommend taking a cupbap to Don Knabe for scenic lunch.

Stopped by K Food Express for takeout and tried their bibimbap along with an order of mandu. The mandu was decent --pretty average in terms of flavor and the filling-to-shell ratio. Still enjoyable, but I've had better from other restaurants. The staff member who helped me was friendly, and the interior looked clean with plenty of seating if you decide to dine in. The restaurant is in a small plaza, and parking wasn't an issue when I went at night. Overall, a solid spot for a quick Korean meal, especially for takeout. I'd come back again if I am in the area.

The return of a good experience. K-Food shifted back to its original restaurant, Tang 88. Same owners, revamped menu with some shift in the menu. Single items that were in the K-Food style are in the single portions while other home style recipes are added. The price range of the singles are slightly increased, which makes sense because the prices previously stayed the same for a while. With the restaurant style, banchan (sides) have been added. I am ready to explore the entire menu.

Food was delicious! We were very impressed with the quality of food & the owner was so kind! This is definitely a hidden gem in Cerritos! We got the Rib Bone Soup, Katsu & The Beef hot stone. We loved how big their portions were & how flavorful each dish was. Will definitely be coming again!

After getting some coffee, I needed some food. This small restaurant is located in a large plaza. There's lots of parking. I was walking around the plaza, and popped in this shop just to see what they're selling. It seems like it's a mom and pop shop. Yay to supporting small businesses! When I first entered the shop with friends, I noticed how intimate it seemed. The dining area was clean, with catchy kpop music in the background. Also, the woman was pretty patient, while we took awhile to look over the menu. The food does take awhile, since it's only the couple working. She bought out a large water bottle for the 4 of us. When the food came out, I was a bit taken back by how much food there was. I ended up taking home half of my food. I ordered the bulgogi cup-pop. I took one bite, and I could taste how fresh and authentic the food was. The food was also delicious. The lady was nice enough to bring us an extra soup, even though we only ordered 3 meals. I definitely recommend this place. Even though it's in a dead plaza, don't let that deter you from going. The service was friendly and excellent. The food is authentic and tasty, with reasonable prices.

OMG can't compliment and support this place enough. Such authentic and delicious korean food. Got the small individual Army Stew, Seafood Pancake, and garlic shrimp. All good all bangers. You need to try Tang88 immediately! Not only is the food amazing and tastes like a home cooked meal, but the owners are the sweetest people who really care about the meals they serve their customers. The interior is newly renovated and very clean and spacious. The menu is also the perfect size with lots of variety. We got the army stew and porkbelly to try. I can't recommend Tang88 enough!

Breaking news yall! For anyone who remembers the original Tang 88...they transitioned to KFoods a few years ago and they have transitioned back to Tang 88 and brought back my much loved Galbitang! The owners have remained the same during each transitions. When we saw this pop up back on yelp, we had to come try. The food tastes just as I remembered. They probably have the best tasting Galbitang in the area. The portion is very generous too. I love their kimchi and sukju-namul. So happy to be adding this to my rotation again. read more

This place needs to be more popular!! It's located in a shopping center all the way in the back corner of a parking lot; a hidden gem. You get a lot of food for a great price and the best part? It's delicious! We always pick up a cup bop whenever we go! I love the donkatsu but the spicy pork and bulgogi are both great picks as well. We ordered the fish cake soup and the portion was HUGE. Second time coming here with the hope that I can order Kim-bap! Unfortunately, it seems that it has been taken off the menu so I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to try it. They do have the cup-bop options and their bibimbop (which I ordered to-go) which are tasty. Portions are fairly large as well, I couldn't finish my bulgogi bibimbop in one sitting, and it's nice how the dish comes with everything separated (sauce, bulgogi, rice, veggies, with a fish cake soup on the side). First time coming and I would def return! The restaurant was clean, had a bathroom, lots of parking and customer service was great! I was in the area and wanted Korean food and this place popped up on Yelp. There was plenty of parking in the lot on a weekend. Inside, the ambiance was nice and clean. I ordered the bulgogi cup bop and it came with japchae, kimchi, soup and rice. The bulgogi was really good and the toppings were fresh. I'm especially impressed by the big portion size, I was only able to finish half of my meal so you really get a bang for your buck. a super clean, tasty, fresh, local, mom and pop shop. this is everything i ever wanted AND they close late at 11pm! the man who took our order was exceptionally kind and generous, he gave us two small bowls of delicious soup with our order and water to share. the fish cake soup was light and the bulgogi cup bop was one of our all time favorites. the meat was so tender and flavorful, and we loved hearing the kitchen sound so lively as they laid down our food. it was so hot and fresh. kimchi was tangy and broccoli was just boiled, but slightly cold. japchae didnt have a lot of toppings but it was sweet and chewy! i actually loved the texture of these since normally they can get soggy. the dumplings were just standard chicken dumplings, nothing too crazy. i would definitely come here again and support this small business!! thank you for making our food with love read more

I went last night with my wife for dinner. We tried the new food in menu such as the Army soup and garlic pork belly. All I can say as always everything is delicious! Mr Kim and his family are super nice and really good cook! We've been help by Mr Kim's sister and wife while Mr Kim was cooking. Their service was good as always! We're so glad they reopened as my family and I used to come to this location all the time. The ambiance is very homey and the food came out quick. Sun was an amazing waitress with so much hospitality. We ordered the seafood pancake and Sun even cut it open for us while inspecting the inside that it's cooked to perfection. We also found out the chef (her brother) is a famous chef from Korea. It makes so much sense. The banchan was super fresh and according to them, it rotates everyday depending on what items they have. I LOVE THIS PLACE. this is my favorite spot to get takeout in the area and i am always reccomending it. k food express is a true gem and the owners are just great people. they are always so friendly and go above and beyond to take care of me. they serve delicious korean food at a fair price and the quality has hit every time. my favorites are the pork belly cup bap and the donkatsu. the kimchi tastes bomb af too. the portions are great too, way bigger than a cup and the best thing about this place is that it straight up tastes like a home cooked meal because it really is just that. this place is down to earth and humble and all about making great korean food. a perfect weeknight option for dine in or takeout. the atmosphere is great too and it feels very cozy and easygoing. all you foodies on the hunt for a local gem, believe me you found one at k food express. read more

Staff was incredibly nice and made some good suggestions on what to try since it was my first time there. The highlight was their home made kimchi. I have not had kimchi like theirs before! My sis got the black tonkotsu ramen, and she said it tasted bad. I asked to try it because I didn't believe her, but I took a sip and it tasted like water. The noodles were fine, and the toppings were ok as well. The pork in our ramen was not great either, super chewy. Service was alright, but the food was just not good. Won't be returning.

We stumbled upon Tang 88 about 13 years ago, and ever since, it has been a treasured part of our lives. The culinary experience there is simply amazing. Their galbi tang and a variety of bibimbap selections never fail to impress. But what truly makes it special for my son are the handmade seaweed rolls, his absolute favorite. It's remarkable to think that when we first started coming, my son was just three years old, and now, ten years later, he still finds delight in their food. What sets Tang 88 apart is not only the exceptional quality of their dishes but also the reasonable pricing, making it accessible without compromising taste. However, what truly stands out for us is the excellent service provided by the husband-and-wife team that runs the place. Their passion for authentic, homemade Korean cuisine shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. Today, we had the pleasure of dining in again following their recent renovation and reopening. The updated ambiance complements the warm and welcoming atmosphere we've always appreciated. In my opinion, Tang 88 ranks among the very best Korean homemade restaurants in the Los Angeles area. K Food Express is an absolute gem! The owners are incredibly nice and friendly, making every visit such a welcoming experience. The food here is flavorful, fresh, and very reasonably priced. It's wonderful to have a local mom-and-pop shop like this in the area! The Pork Belly Cupbop, Donkatsu Cupbop with Cheese, and Galbi Tang Soup are standout dishes--so delicious and satisfying. The sides are also fantastic--fresh, full of flavor, and a perfect complement to the main dishes. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic and comforting Korean food. "While I initially planned to visit this establishment for their well-liked kimbap rolls, I discovered they are no longer available. However, I decided to explore other menu options and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was neat and clean, and the lady who served us--presumably the owner--was friendly and welcoming. The portion sizes were generous for the price, and the food tasted fresh and delicious, although the glass noodles were a bit plain. Absolutely loved this place! The service was amazing from start to finish - everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The gamjatang was incredibly flavorful, rich, and comforting with perfectly tender meat, and the donkatsu was crispy, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were also so fresh and delicious that we kept asking for refills. You can really tell they put care into every dish. I always love coming to this restaurant! It's a fantastic mom-and-pop shop with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. The foods that I tried is so good! I had donkatsu & kimbap which was soooo good that I can't imagine. Those days it is hard to find good place with donkatsu but this place is so good that I will be coming back for sure with my familes. So happy to see TANG 88 expand! The new location is way more spacious and comfortable than before. The moment you walk in, you can tell how clean and well-maintained the space is. The food at this place was really good, but the service was a bit slow. Surprisingly, even when there were no other customers during lunchtime, it took a while for our meal to be ready.
