I stopped in for the spicy tuna kimbap, and the cashier was l welcoming and even added japchae for me to try. The japchae was perfectly balanced. Not too oily, overly peppery, or too salty like I've had at other places. The spicy tuna kimbap was good too and had a great balance of ingredients. I was looking for a Korean catering place and came across Uhmamama. The name of the restaurant translated in English means "Mother" in royal terms. That being said, the dishes that I ordered did indeed taste like a mother's homemade cooking. I ordered three types of Korean pancakes (fish, Korean meatballs, and pumpkin), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), beef bulgogi, small order of kimchi, and cold crabmeat salad. What I really appreciated about this catering place was that I informed the ajuma (owner) how many people the food was for, and she was able to help create a reasonable budget for me. When I went to pick up the order, the ajuma helped load the trays of food into the car, which was very sweet and kind of her. I see that they sell lunch bento boxes, kimbap, and spicy rice cake (ddukbokki), fried chicken, and different types of tempura/deep-fried items so I'm looking forward to coming back to try those! read more

Such a great place to get banchan. They also sell bento boxes, ddeokbokki, kimbap, soup, glazed fried chicken, etc. They change the menu for the bento boxes everyday, so it's always a nice surprise and you don't get bored even visiting multiple times a week. Stopped in for a quick lunch and grabbed a Pork Bulgogi Bowl, a Beef Bulgogi Bowl, and a Beef Bulgogi Kimbap. There was a wide selection of bowls and Kimbap that you could pick up ready to eat. There's no space for eating inside so we took our food to go. The staff was friendly and offered to answer any questions we may have had. Would recommend dropping by for a quick lunch or dinner bowl. An unassuming, strip mall korean joint serving hand held, picnic classics like kimbap, tteokbokki of various varieties + protein options. It's in a competitive location, as there are some excellent, comparable joints in the greater BP area. However, even with this in mind, the $ to quality ratio here is superb, like a satisfying sleeve of delicious kimbap for around 7 bucks good. My sister & I saw the $1 deal (goes until end of March) for the Mama's TBK in a cup on TikTok. It was very good and had a lot inside especially for the size of the cup! It had rice cakes, corn, fish cakes, sausages, green onion, and kimchi cabbage. We both really liked the sauce because of the strong kimchi flavor & it wasn't too sweet like most tteokbokki sauces. The ugly sticks/mozzarella sticks (4 pieces for $7) were decent, but also a bit small for the price. They taste good dipped into the tteokbokki sauce! Saw that there was a soft opening for this spot and decided to give it a try! They have $1 tteokbokki until the end of March, so we ordered two Mama's TBK and bulgogi fries. I got my tteokbokki with normal spice and it did not overwhelm the flavors of the add ins. The portion is generous for ONE DOLLAR! It comes with rice cake, fish cake, sausage, cabbage, cheese and corn on top. Normally I do not order tteokbokki at restaurants because it is a simple dish to make at home, but this place makes theirs so yummy! The bulgogi fries were $17.50 and were just okay. They are generous with the toppings but I found it to be a bit underwhelming for the price. The shop is small and it is more of a take-out spot than dine-in. The cashier was very sweet and offered drinks on the house. Overall I definitely recommend giving this spot a try if you love Korean street food! read more

Their food tastes fresh, good and is priced correctly relative to quality and portion size. One issue, however, is they run out of things quickly and too early in the day. If you can get here before early afternoon or especially in the morning you'll probably get the best selection. I've tried prepared meals like the bentos and also a few flavors of the kimbap and the quality is there. I also like how they use clean, simple ingredients and there are plenty of vegetables in the prepared foods and meals. 5 stars for the exceptional hospitality and delicious food! I came in a little past 2pm on a Saturday not knowing they close earlier than usual.. The nice lady already had the door locked but saw me walking up and still opened the door for me. They only had a few things left over but she happily explained what each item was. She even threw in a free pack of gobo for me. I had no idea what it was but she gave me a sample and it was delicious! I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes! They were able to take our order one week out and their service and food (and price) were top tier!! They were super accommodating, kind, and generous with their portions. i went to grab just a banchan but i ended up getting beef kimbap and a banchan too (stir fried fish cake). while i grabbed the kimbap these two ladies im assuming the owners, greeted me and wanted me to try a sample. i tried picking it up with a fork but struggled but one of the ladies helped me. i'm not sure what it was but it tasted kinda crunchy but good too. i placed all my things down and as they ringed me up they were asking me questions just small talk. it was nice. as i finished paying one of the ladies ask me if i wanted to try this drink they made. i said sure (why not another free sample lols). they told me it was this all natural healthy pumpkin drink. it was good, caught me off guard when tasting pumpkin but it was good. they were so cute and nice i love it. they also gave me small container of kimchi and macaroni salad. which were both so yummy. especially the kimchi. i am so coming back here again when i get the chance!! beef kimbap $6 10pcs: so good so crunchy 10000/10. theres more carrots than the other ingredients but i dont mind it stir fried fish cakes $3: once again so good i love fish cakes in general so its so good read more
