Decided to venture out and try other types of Korean soups: Dogani Tang and Yukgae Jang with ban chan and side of rice each. They came with noodles hidden inside and were both delicious and filling!

Decided to try out this spot for cold noodles. My hubby liked it, I was not a fan. The place is a hole in the wall, quiet, unassuming. Place could fit maybe like 30 ppl? If packed out So on the smaller side. Very chill atmosphere. Seems like the same lady helping guests by herself. She's very nice, accommodating and on the shy/quiet side. The katsu was perfectly fried and on the thin side like a schnitzel almost but delicious ! We actually come here for the suyuk. The first two times the tongue, cheek and cartilage/tendon? Was amazing. Just came back not too long ago and the cartilage was more cartilage then tendon like. I prefer when everything is super soft. The tongue and cheek are wonderfully tender. My dad really enjoys their gukbap. He says it's old style like in Korea. Maybe a little more rustic. My mum has had the dolsat bibimpap and it was standard good. Try out this spot and see if you like it! Oh yea, I like their Fishcake side dish.

Stumbled upon Tang on a Sunday afternoon when every other Korean restaurant had a long wait. We would definitely go back for the steamed pork belly, katsu and pork bone soup. I got the OxBone, knee bone cartilage soup. Knocked off 1 star bc of it. For $20, for a small bowl of soup, I would say High Pass. There were hardly any noodles in this bowl, hardly any meat, hardly any flavor - which honestly, was shocking. This soup was a ripoff. 3/5 Recommend all the other food mentioned. For Ox bone soup - 10/10 recommend HAN YANG

Trying this place for the 1st time and I definitely recommend it. They have lunch special and it was delicious. Place is clean, airy and the service is excellent. Definitely will come back.

    순대국 Soondae - Guk

It was delicious and a good place to come when you're craving Korean food. You can choose only soondae, which is what I did.

The best food and friendliest service! Amazing selection of items and the quality and taste are like home cooked food. 10 stars!

It was my first time dining here and it was great. Service was good and it was not too loud inside. I ordered the Bulgogi Hot Pot which had a generous amount of meat, glass noodles, and mushrooms. The soup was good but on the sweeter side. I would definitely come here again! ^~^

I was craving for Gamjatang and found this place and was very well pleased with the results.

I recently tried Tang and I was so shocked with how much I liked it, and on how filling the soup was! We got the spicy soondaeguk which was a Korean blood sausage soup, as well as their modeum suyuk which was filled with boiled ox tongue, shank, and knee cartilage. These meats were so tender and high in collagen, so super good for your skin! They provided a sauce to dip your meat in as well, and that and the banchan they had just made it a great meal. Korean soups pair so well with rice, so make sure to grab a bowl for a full and hearty meal. They have a bunch of other appetizers and Korean dishes to pair with any of the soups you can get, so we got their seafood pancake. It was a bit eggy for me compared to what I'm used to, but still had great flavor. They also have bossam and jokbal, as well as other soups like galbi tang and seolleong tang, so something is sure to catch your eye. Highly recommend coming to Tang the next time you're craving Korean comfort food, especially as the weather's getting colder!

The interior is clean, newly built, and has a modern Korean hanok-style look. The servers were also friendly both times, so I didn't have any issues with the service or atmosphere. Unfortunately, the main problem for me was the food. I've eaten at the LA location before and never really thought the food tasted bad there, but at this Buena Park location, both visits gave me the impression that the food didn't taste as fresh as it should. On my most recent visit, I ordered the soondae gukbap, and the soondae had an unpleasant off smell and didn't taste very fresh. It almost tasted like it had been sitting for a while. On my first visit, I tried the regular pork gukbap, and the pork flavor was also stronger than I personally prefer. I do tend to like cleaner-tasting gukbap, but this stood out to me because I don't remember having the same issue at the LA location. After the first visit, I thought maybe it was just an off day since the restaurant was still new. But after having a similar impression on my second visit, I'm not sure if this location is consistent yet. The space is nice and the service was good, but for a gukbap restaurant, the food has to be the main reason to come back. Based on my two visits, this location was disappointing for me.

The kimchi, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and gat kimchi are absolutely delicious. I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? The cabbage salad dressing that comes on the side is seriously addictive. The portion size is huge, there's no way I could finish it by myself. It has the crispy texture of Japanese katsu, while still having a great pork flavor of its own. I honestly think this could be considered one of their signature dishes. Nobody paid attention to us to bring us some iced water, forks, and extra noodles. Normally the servers asked us to refill the noodles, or served fast but today was disaster for us. Other people came later than us but the server served them iced water and took their orders not ours. What happened to us today? We sat at the tiny table in the corner and we barely moved to eat our foods, we ordered 3 items which were 2 beef belly phos and fried rice w shrimps. There was not any rooms available for all the foods including pho toppings, sauces, and other entree. We were not comfortable at all. And also, my wife and I couldn't eat the fried rice w shrimps. How can we eat w chopsticks or deep scoop shaped soup spoon? How hard is everything today? We tried to call the server for 2 forks but no one paid attention. Wow...wow.... I felt bad feeling about this restaurant for the first time. The service, attention, everything was not normal. Waiting time was 15 to 20 mins but we had to wait for 40 mins. Barely sat soooo tiny table. My wife got really upset at the service. She got an email about the lunch special, beef belly pho Mon to Fri 2 days ago. That is why we decided to go to eat today. They also gave us sesame oil + salt and dried seaweed which I think is for the tuna. Then there was tokoyaki, fried rice cakes, tempura, spicy fish stew, grilled fish, fried salmon skin, fried chicken, and spicy marinated crab. All while getting refills on the banchan. It was exactly what I was wanting, as I have not found anything like it in Seattle! The staff was super friendly, and they had a lot of other items on the menu that I would love to try at some point in the future! Highly recommend!

The toro special was buttery and so good especially wrapped in seaweed and dipped in the salt/sesame oil. We had the steamed egg again and it was fluffy and nice. The sashimi bowl was the best we've had. Definitely

The best late night comfort food! Soup Shop has good food, and they're open late. It's no wonder…read morethere's always people waiting for a table outside. We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

June 2026 Updated review:…read more Bowls have been dumbed down by 40%. Less meat, more noodles, less broth and less veggie amenities. Truly disappointing since they upped the prices as well. So you're paying more for less good food. I would hope they read my reviews and go back to how they served big bowls of yummy pho with great ingredients. I know food is expensive but they've already increased their prices to offshoot current inflation. SO GO BACK TO HOW YOU USED TO SERVE PHO.
