I arrived during their lunch happy hour between 3-4:30 during the week. So I was able to get an appetizer, entree, and a drink from a fixed menu set for $20. I chose mapo tofu with 5-spice peanuts and a drink. The rice dish was flavorful, plentiful, and delicious! I was originally wanting to get my lunch fix from Jomaru but glad I got to try out Mian instead. The seating arrangements inside is why I chose a 4-star instead of 5-star rating. The seats are tightly put together with hardly any spaces in between. You can hear every bite people take and chew / swallow. The sound volume of children screaming and behaving inappropriately would make this place not adult diner friendly. Nobody likes a utensil thrown toward them -- well, at least I didn't. The server's attitude was also curt and not friendly. I get it she was trying to sit down and eat her meal with her daughter during the not so busy hours. Still rather unprofessional and makes no sense to take it out on paying customers like me. Good thing their food tasted great. But I doubt I would dine-in here again in the future.

Chinese noodle eatery with Sichuan chili spices. Returning customer here today with my teenage daughter. We came at lunch hour and were able to find a table right away and they have bar-table with tall bar stools by the window as well. We ordered the following dishes: The spicy beef noodle with medium spiciness-loved it! The steamed egg with minced pork-softly steamed egg with nicely flavored pork on top that came in a mug, loved it! The mung bean noodle cold dish- this is a new item, too spicy and won't order it again. The sweet brown sugar rice sticks-had better ones at other places. Prompt service. Will visit again for the beef noodles!

I came across this GEM a few weekends ago and I have been back every weekend since, the food is delicious. From my very first visit the waitress was so kind and it's now become that she recognizes my partner and I when we come in. It can get busy which is a sign of the good food. The wait time has never been bad and my experience has always been great. The restaurant itself is always clean especially the restrooms which says a lot about the restaurant as a whole, I'm so glad I found this amazing, delicious restaurant and I'm glad I'm now a regular. P.s. please bring back the cherry blossom dessert it was super cute and delicious! Dan Dan noodles are a must try.

This place is fire! My friend & I came on a whim (I saw it pop up on Yelp and my friend said he had heard good things. It was a Saturday night and while the place was pretty full, we were able to score a seat pretty quickly. Shortly after we were sat, there ended up being a wait. Their entire ordering-to-table process is all done via your phone. There is a QR code at the table that you scan and it brings you to the menu. That is where you order. It knows your table number and as soon as you order, it is sent straight to the kitchen. We ordered a chili oil chicken plate as a starter plate and we both LOVED it. It had a perfect amount of spice (we ordered it as medium spicy). We also ordered two separate noodle bowls (one of them being their typical beef noodle bowl and a beef rib noodle bowl). We both agreed the typical beef noodle bowl was the best one and the broth had more flavor in general. I also ordered some take-out items in same menu to take back to my mom for dinner. It made this order towards the end our meal. My mom really liked what I ordered for her as well (shrimp rice and chicken noodles). I'd definitely come back! Very much a fan!

We love spicy mala food and this was our first time trying Mian. There was no wait when we went on a Friday night ~8pm. You scan a QR code at your table to order and the food comes quickly, with minutes. For appetizers, we got the Rou Jia Mo (pork hamburger) and the pepper ribs. The Rou Jia Mo was fine, not really authentic with almost a puff pastry-like shell and no veggies. We enjoyed the ribs, which had a nice dry rub and came with delicious Sichuan dried chilies - would order this again. For noodles, we got the Dan Dan and Spicy Beef Noodles. The beef noodles were classic, while the dan dan noodles were lacking a bit in saltiness/flavor (was mostly just numbing). For all dishes, we got the highest spice level, and everything was an enjoyable level of spiciness. Here is a menu for reference (the menu in-person is larger and has many more new items): https://miantaste.com/mian-cerritos-menu/

Came back here after having for the first time a couple months ago, one of my favorite Chinese places! I'm a big lover of Walnut Shrimp and dumplings. Didn't order the noodles this time but they're delicious, especially the very spicy ones. The servers were kind and friendly, got seated immediately even though it was almost full. Shaggy was playing in the background, everyone was moderately quiet since most people had tables for more full then what we had. Very pleasant lunch or dinner experience. I highly recommend!

Came here for lunch after the mall, was very impressed :) everything was so so so yummy we got the beef noodle soup, orange peel chicken, cucumbers, and pork dumplings. Great prices and had lots of leftovers for 2 people.

Since they've opened in Cerritos, Mian has been in our rotation of places to dine at. The man usual would suggest it because he's craving beef noodle soup. Once you get seated, there's a QR code for you to look over the menu and order. To go boxes and napkins are available for you to grab in nearby stations. You'll pay with one of the servers. We've tried a lot of the items. The beef noodle soup is always a good idea if you don't know what to order. I'm not a huge fan of Szechuan chili - I really hate the numbing feeling you get when eating it because now I can't taste the flavor. Which makes ordering food appropriate for your kids a little difficult. Last visit, I ordered their new peanut sauce noodle bowl (not sure on the name of the dish), read the ingredients, it didn't say there were any spice to it. It turned out to be spicy. So just be aware and when in doubt, ask. We still enjoy coming in. Service is friendly. Food comes out fast too.

Everything at Mian was awesome! The staff team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole dining experience enjoyable. The food was outstanding--every dish was full of flavor and tasted amazing. You can really tell that care goes into every meal. I highly recommend Mian to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service. We'lldefinitely be back!

面 (MIAN) brings the bold, tongue-tingling flavors of Sichuan right to your table -- and with James Beard Award-nominated Chef Tony Xu at the helm, it's no surprise this spot packs serious flavor and heat. Food: 3/5 - A solid lineup with a few hits and some misses, but the freshness and noodle quality shine through. -Steamed Veggie 菜青菜 - Pretty bland, could use seasoning. -Crispy Cucumber 爽口黄瓜 - 4/5, crunchy with refreshing balance. -Sichuan Five-Spice Fried Peanuts 酒鬼花生 - 4.5/5, simple yet addictive. -Chili Oil Chaoshou 红油抄手 (Small - 小份) - 3/5, flavorful but I've had better versions elsewhere. -Tomato & Beef Rice Noodles 番茄牛肉米线 - 4/5, the noodles carry the dish--springy, chewy perfection. -Roujiamo (Freshly Baked 20 min) 肉夹馍 (现烤约20分钟) (cut into quarters 切成四份) - 3/5, decent but nothing standout. Service: 4/5 - Friendly energy across all three staff members. Quick to greet, helpful with menu picks. Parking: 4/5 - Easy to find with plenty of plaza spots. Plus, Bopomofo Café next door makes it a double-win foodie stop. Ambience: 4/5 - Clean dining space with spotless tables. The team's attention to tidiness really stands out.

Level 3 Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

The first time I had Mian was years ago at their Chinatown location in Las Vegas, and I remember thinking it was absolutely amazing. That location unfortunately closed shortly after, so you can imagine how excited I was when I recently discovered them again in Artesia, California. It was so good to finally have it again. My go to dish is their spicy beef noodle soup, along with the steamed egg with minced pork and crispy cucumbers as appetizers. I love spicy food, so I always order the level 3 spicy beef noodle soup, which is Asian level spicy and definitely not for the faint of heart. The broth is rich, deeply flavorful, and packed with heat. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the beef is tender and satisfying. The appetizers are an absolute must. The crispy cucumbers are refreshing and full of crunch, making them the perfect contrast to the spicy soup. The steamed egg with minced pork is soft, savory, and comforting. Recently, they started serving the steamed egg in a small plastic container instead of the traditional cup, which I personally prefer, but the flavor is still spot on. My nephew loves their Sichuan style popcorn chicken, and my husband always orders their orange passion fruit iced tea, which is refreshing and well balanced. The prices here are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The only items I thought were just good, not great, were the desserts. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for solid beef noodle soups with excellent appetizers that really stand out. The decor is simple, you order through a QR code at the table, and the service is great. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to.

So, for a Michelin restaurant I guess I expected way more. It's definitely good but nothing wowed me. Nothing stood out from other restaurants that serve similar dishes. It was also very hot inside there not sure if they were saving electricity. The difference with outside and inside the restaurant was huge when we stepped out. They have happy hour which is great for $20 with appetizer/fried rice or noodle dish and a drink. I thought that was great! Service was good too. Pretty fast. We were also the only ones inside haha so not sure if that's super accurate but I remember when I went with my friends 2021, it was the same too. Good service friendly staff. Food is good.

Was originally going to Jollibee next to the restaurant but passed by and had to try this place out instead! You arrive and check in via their iPad & scan the QR code once seated super easy. Came here on a Friday night and probably waited 15 mins max. It had a great ambiance and staff were super friendly. The beef noodle soup was 10/10 we got medium spice but next time definitely going all in to the next spice level! The broth was flavorful. This is my new favorite place for a cozy comfy meal. The shrimp balls & pan fried dumplings were also delicious as well and the beef roll was okay I think it could use a good sauce to take a dip in. Honestly found myself dipping the rolls in my spicy soup broth 10/10. I can't wait to come back here and try more!

And prefer it over many other Asian cuisines.* The reason I chose M's Kitchen over two other Taiwanese restaurants in the area? So many more vegetable dishes! And wow, am I completely grateful I did! We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the server and chef were both in the kitchen. The server came over and gave us menus before getting our drink orders. She was prompt in a very caring manner without ever seeming rushed. She had lots of suggestions as we asked questions about the menu. At some point, the chef was sitting with us, and she asked him clarifying questions for us. She even went back into the kitchen to find out which vegetables were the freshest (which I appreciated)! We ordered a cup of ginseng and goji berry chicken soup, chicken cream corn soup (with egg), ong choy with garlic, walnut shrimp, crispy tofu, and green scallion pancake. As each dish came out, it felt like different instruments in an orchestra being highlighted as they wove into the tapestry of the music. The ong choy built onto the soup, the crispy tofu onto the ong choy and soup, and so on! Until there was this grand harmony of pulsating flavors and textures! I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could eat more and faster! The server helped us to pack the leftovers. We spoke about how traditional Chinese and Taiwanese food get lost in the mix of more modern and fusion recipes and restaurants. I am also a loving fan of mom and pop dining because it reminds me of the many meals I have been gifted by the parents of friends and friends who have opened their homes and hearths to feed and nourish me in my life. I love feeling like I am visiting someone's family and sharing a meal together. This is how M's Kitchen felt for me! I am planning how many meals I can have here and who I can invite to experience the deliciousness soon! Please consider visiting! Even if you haven't tried Taiwanese food yet, this is a wonderful spot to start with!

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.
