Outdoor seating with portable butane burners

Broth has been our family-favorite restaurant for a year and a half now. We started coming to Broth early 2025 after trying Shabuya in La Mirada, and I am not speaking in hyperbole when I say we have averaged coming to this establishment about 2 times a week since then--bringing extended family, friends, and coworkers. The food is amazing, the service is the best, and the ambiance is perfect for a casual night out with family and/or friends. *I 100% suggest adding yourself to their wait-list as wait times can be crazy in the evenings - as I would expect. The wait-list is true-to-time and entire party must be present to be seated. Also, I suggest the outdoor patio unless you don't mind smelling like you just took a bath in broth haha* The husband and I generally order the spicy miso-tonkatsu mixture, one child gets spicy miso, and the other gets regular miso. You can order 12 portions of meat at a time (which is an amazing amount - looking at you, Gen KBBQ ), and all veggies, noodles, seafood, and dipping sauces are available at all times via buffet display. Servers are very attentive and friendly (shout-out Fabian and Edy), quick to refill meats, broth, and drinks. You have 90mins to eat as much as you want which is plenty. The ONLY criticism I have is the state of the restroom (to be fair, I have only seen the women's), which is always a bit messy, only an air-dryer, and space is limited. With that in mind, this is still a 5-star experience! We will continue coming here for the foreseeable future

A good Shabu Shabu for a budget friendly! Honestly driving for bout 30-50 mins just go eat here is always a worth of drive. Meat options are delicious and their broth is tasty! The only downside is the buffet area has not a lot of options but it still gets through it. The Sesame/Peanut/Goma Sauce delicious! Compare to other shabu shabu places. My to go meats are beef toro, pork belly, prime cross rib can eat about 2x plate each lol!

Decided to take one of my girl friend out for a late birthday celebration last night since she was craving hot pot. We ended up getting seated about 30 minutes or so after making a reservation. You get 90 minutes to chow down. You start off by ordering a soup base you like followed by appetizers and of course the meats. They have a self serve bar with vegetables, a variety of noodles, and seafood items as well as a sauce bar. To start off we ordered two appetizers: one regular chicken karaage and soy glazed chicken karaage although only one came out. We followed up with our server before she had to take her "break" but it never came out. Once she came back from her break, she apologized and ended up making it herself since the kitchen was backed up!? In addition, it took some time to order our meats and get them to the table. ** I would probably suggest placing 2 orders in a row so they come out in a timely manner. In addition, when I went over to the sauce bar some of their sauces and condiments were missing since they had to refill the empty containers. I was told it would only take a few minutes so I decided to patiently wait. After 5-7 minutes, the sauce/condiment refills weren't done yet so I just decided to sit back down and eat until I saw the workers place them back. Overall, the place is decent. AYCE shabu is $29.99 for dinner. Although, I wish they would train their staff a bit more so they can efficiently work well and tag team whenever it is busy or just be proactive checking on their tables more!

I'm super impressed with how smoothly they run when it gets so busy, they have lots of workers on the weekends. I've been to other AYCE shaba spots, by this one is my favorite for its consistency, service, and quality. I like that the servers are very attentive and you can join the waitlist on Yelp. My fave appetizer js the Chicken Karrage and for soup I always get half Tonkotsu and Spicy Miso. They have indoor and outdoor seating, parking can be tricky when it's busy. ig: @cravingswithcat

Was craving some Shabu so decided to go here for dinner and this place definitely satisfied my cravings. I usually order the spicy miso soup broth. Once you place your soup base and meat order in with your server you go grab your seafood, veggies, noodles, and sauces from the self serve section. You can also order appetizers that are included. The veggies and seafood are fresh. Meats are tender and unlimited. Our server was friendly, attentive, efficient. He came to check on us periodically to replenish meat orders or add more broth to our pot. Ambiance is nice. Lots of seating. You get a 90 minute time limit for the AYCE session,

I always come to this place and the broth never fails me. I usually go for the spicy miso, and for meats, the pork belly and beef toro are my absolute favorites. If you've never been, it's basically like an all-you-can-eat, build-your-own ramen situation -- which is already a win. There's a buffet-style area where you pick your noodles and extras, plus a whole section of veggies like bok choy (my personal fave), spinach, cilantro, onions... you name it. There's also a smaller bar with sauces and add-ons like chili oil, jalapeños, and this mystery tan sauce that's sweet and sooo good (I don't know what it is, but I trust it with my life at this point). And don't even get me started on the all-you-can-eat appetizers -- my go-to is the chicken karaage. So good every time. The vibes are super chill, the music is good, and they even have a little bar with drinks like soju, draft beer, and my personal favorite... the party cocktail lol. Overall, 10/10. I love this place and will absolutely keep coming back. + the service is always great. Very attentive.

    Lunch special

This review has been looooooong overdue! Broth has seen me way too many times for me not to have written a review by now. 100/10! I love this place! I even have friends/family wanting to eat here whenever they come to visit. Yes, on occasion, you might have to wait, but I love how they have a live queue on yelp. You can definitely join the waitlist in advance if needed but I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 minutes. As of April 2026, lunch is $20.99 and dinner/weekends is $29.99 Honestly, you cannot beat their lunch special! However, they are missing some good things that the dinner option has. In addition to the cost, some things I noticed is that dinner includes more cuts of meats, quail eggs, crab pieces, and breech mushroom. It doesn't matter the time or day, this place is normally busy but they are very organized and efficient. Servers are constantly checking up on you to put in more orders, refill your pot, and etc. Even the self-serve bar is constantly being restocked, so you're never waiting too long for an item. Love this place! Service and atmosphere is great! Food is amazing! They definitely need a reward program for loyal customers like me hahaha!

Both are spicy miso. Super bland, not spicy. Tastes like regular miso. Gyozas were cold.

Not only was the experience not good, I had food poisoning after leaving. :( I have always heard about this place and finally decided to try it. I expected it to be really good considering how long wait times were. I am not new to Shabu, and have tried it at other places. However, Broth it doesn't even make my top five. The wait time wasn't too bad. We were able to join the waitlist on Yelp. We had a large party of six and the wait was about 40 minutes. Again, my expectation was that it was going to be worth the wait. Our table is ready, I check in, and the host, which was a male seemed annoyed. He told me that he would text me when the table was ready. I said OK fine. Tables finally ready I walk in and they take us to the outside patio, which I did not realize it was an option. The place was packed when I was walking through it. Which kind of makes you wonder how do they keep up with the amount of people that are in there plus the outside? The outside seemed cute at first but I just feel it's not the same experience as sitting inside because you're using portable burners on a regular table and there's barely any space to fit anything. They sat us on the side next to a corner of all the dirty dishes and pitchers of broth on a table. Again, wanted to give this place a chance, but this just seemed so odd and who wants to sit next to dirty dishes? And who puts good broth near the dirty dishes? Idk. Our waitress finally comes. She was nice. We order our broth. I noticed that my spoon looked really dirty and asked for another one from a bus boy or someone else that worked there and he seemed annoyed too. Lol I scraped the spoon with my nail because there was brown residue on the spoon. None of the other spoons were like that. That already gave me a weird feeling. He brought me a spoon but slammed it on the table "here!" The broth comes and I take a taste of the spicy miso and it's very BLAND and WATERED down. That's the only way I can describe it. Most places I've been to I do not have to add much to make the broth taste better but here I felt like I needed to do that. We head over to the Shabu station to pick our veggies and sauces. A lot of the selection was empty due to the amount of people that were there so I think it was just very hard for staff to keep up with filling the selections so we would have to keep getting up and going back to check to see if they had more of something that we wanted. Also, you are only allotted an hour and a half to eat, which is fine. I didn't see this as an issue. I knew this prior to coming to broth. However, our last 30 minutes the waitress would come and tell us we had 30 minutes left, 20 minutes Left, 15 minutes Left, 10 minutes. Left five minutes left. I just don't think that this is necessary. I think providing these 30 minute notice that we have 30 minutes left and this is last call would have been fine. We ordered meat number one and meat number six. After the first round, we stopped ordering meet number one. It was too fatty so we only ordered meat number six. I believe that is the flat iron steak, which was good. The gyozas we're always lukewarm when they got to the table. Other locations that offer this as an appetizer, bring them fresh out of the fryer to the point that they're hot to the touch. Safe to say, I probably will not be back as the experience was not quite what I expected. I just feel that for the price that you're paying is equivalent to other Shabu locations that are 10 times better and I am willing to drive further out from Cerritos to have a better experience.

Very large and busy restaurant. We went on a Thursday evening for dinner and signed up for the waiting list on Yelp, before we started from home. We signed in at the IPad at the entry and still had to wait another 30 minutes. But all the wait was worth it. My suggestion to the restaurant is to place some benches outside for people who are waiting to sit. We were seated outside. The table for 4 was small. The service was friendly and fast. I opted for the Sukiyaki broth, others had the Miso broth, and we all loved the broth. It's $29.99 pp for dinner and includes unlimited broth, meats, seafood and appetizers. We tried the Gyoza and Spicy karrage chicken. They were just okay. You can get unlimted veggies, noodles, seafood and sauces from the buffet, but the servers bring the meat to the table. All the meats were thinly sliced and very tasty. They cooked quickly. I am not a big eater, but its a bargain for the quality and quantity of food.

AYCE shabu-shabu-- count me in! I have been going to this place since it opened, and it never fails. Their lunch special, on Mon-Fri until 3pm, is $20.99 per person, which is a good deal for AYCE these days. I always opt for the sukiyaki base because it has a great balance of sweet and savory. I have also tried the original house and the spicy miso, but I always fall back to the sukiyaki. For appetizers, I try not to focus on them as much, but I like their gyoza as it has a nice and crisp crunch to it. As for the meats, I prefer the beef options (#1 prime blade meat and #2 beef toro). Between the two, I like the prime blade meat cause it's not as fatty as the other beef option. I like how their self service bar has so many options of seafood, noodles, and vegetables. Also, their sauce options for the self service bar are great too. Most especially their spicy ponzu, asian chili, and goma sauces. Service was great the last time I came, but can be variable dependent on who the server is and how busy it is. Although, I don't recall having a bad experience yet. So that's a plus. I continue to recommend this place to so many of my friends and can't wait to come back soon!

Sunday dinner with the cousins! We decided on shabu because it was perfect for the cold weather. Parking: This spot is located in a high foot traffic plaza. Finding a parking spot is going to be difficult. Good luck! Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. It was extremely busy on Sunday night. The amount of people felt overwhelming and crowded. Wait times can be longer, especially for a large group like our's. They have a buffet for sides and a station for sauces. Everything was kept clean and filled despite how busy it was. Love the music; if you're a millennial baby, then you'll appreciate the throwbacks. Service: I joined the waitlist on Yelp and was quoted a 41-62 minute wait. I was able to see my place in line through Yelp, and they also texted me updates. When my cousins and I arrived, we waited about 5 minutes then our table was ready. The host escorted us to a table outside. Thankfully there are heaters outside. Each server was quick & efficient. We were checked on a few times, but it can be difficult to wave a server down since it was so busy. Food: I chose Sukiyaki broth. It was really good and not too salty. You'd order meats through your server. I really like the lean cuts! The fattier cuts were also mouthwatering. The vegetables and other toppings were fresh. Pricing: There is a 1.5 hour dining limit. Any excessive leftovers will be charged. We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back! My only critique is to keep the training off the floor and away from customers, especially while they're trying to enjoy a meal. We prefer not to hear restaurant talk right behind us.

Came around 4:15 on a Sunday and had to wait 35min for a table for 2, but it was well worth the wait. There was both inside and outside seating. My friend and I both got the original house soup which is a delicious clear broth soup. We got the prime blade meat, lamb, flat iron steak, pork shoulder, beef toro, and prime cross rib. All the meat came out fresh! Each plate had 2-4 pieces. Our favorite was definitely the prime blade meat. It was super tender and juicy. The self serve bar had a vegetable side and a seafood side. On the seafood side there was fresh shrimp, crab, clams, shrimp balls, fish cakes, and different types of noodles (ramen, udon, rice noodles, etc.). The vegetable selection wasn't huge, but they had the staples like Napa cabbage, bok choy, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, and corn. Their sauce selection was good. I suggest mixing the goma and ponzu together for a tangy sauce! Would definitely come again if I was in the area!

Easily one of my favorite restaurants for shabu! The veggies, seafood, meat etc are always fresh and delicious. The sauces are amazingly flavorful. Service here is great. They are attentive and quick. The ambiance is nice and spacious. I like that there are a good amount of booths available.

    How much the dinner?

$29.99...it's market, but considering the quality of the meat, it's well worth it.

    Are the broths gluten free?

Every when is lunch price ? Is it everyday or only weekdays?

Monday to Friday until 3pm excluding holidays. Children lunch special pricing also available

Is it 20-30 dollars for everything? Like meat included and soups and everything? Obviously drinks would be apart from that but I was just wondering how the pricing worked and what the charges were.

The pricing is inclusive of all-you-can-eat meat for the soup, soup, veggies, sauce, and appetizers. You order the meats with the server and they have a veggie bar and a sauce bar. Drinks are additional but the price includes everything else.

How much is it per person for lunch time?

$20 per person plus any drinks tax tip etc

How spicy is the spicy miso, say for example compared to Sriracha is it spicier or less?

It has a nice spiciness but I always add some hot drops to kick it up a notch.

How can reservations for more 4 pp?

    Make your reservation on Yelp!

I'm allergic to peanuts - is there anything with peanuts?

Yeah just avoid the Goma Sauce. It's literally made out of peanuts

Recommend calling for a reservation for a large party.

Do they do single pots or only one for everyone?

Each person gets their own pot... thank goodness!

    What time you open?

I believe it opens at 11:30 AM

    Does broth take reservation?

    via Yelp yes!

When are you going to serve octopus again? 😭😭?

Haven't seen octopus recently... But they did add pineapple squid 🤷‍♀️

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 8, 2023

I was literally just there and yes, they have outdoor seating. It's covered with a canopy but I don't know how many people can fit there. It looked like a decent size

    Do you serve salmon?

No did you not have salmon but they have a variety of other fish like shrimp, mussels, crab, and I want to say maybe tilapia?

    Open on Super Bowl Sunday?

    Yes, they'll be open.

Are they open today New Year's Eve?

    Probably, always opened lol

    Are pets allowed?

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

It is self served, in which you go up to order, they'll give you a plate for self served banchan, and you grab your own utensils. Once you're done, you have to return the trays and plates back. The food is made to order and very tasty. We ordered all their "must try" and it was really good. The side dishes were definitely home made. I highly recommend the seafood pork bone soup noodle because it was super tasty, but be aware that mild is still kind of spicy. The lady in the front was strict but reasonable, just like any real place should be. Customers were mostly family they knew the place and chatted with the boss. The atmosphere is very simple with tables that you can sit anywhere.

They changed their set up to stations with unlimited veggies, toppings, noodles, sauces, and a hot bar that has Korean dishes like spicy rice cake and dumplings, which I think is smart and efficient! The service is here is very quick! Every time I came, the wait was not too long, and we were taken care of right away. Staff is friendly and quick to take your order of broth and protein. They regularly check up on you to make sure that you have everything you need. My go-to protein is the Chuck Eye--it has great texture and not too fatty. I've also tried their Beef Belly, Angus Brisket, and Top Blade. All the proteins are great quality! The place is very spacious, where they can host large parties. Always coming back here all-season round!

The sukiyaki & bone broth was fire, the bone broth was so comfy and nostalgic for being Korean. The meat quality was also not bad, I don't really remember which ones we ordered but they were pretty tender. The 1.5 stars off probably come from the salad and hot bar. The veggie options and sauce bar was fine, but the hot bar was a little sad and most of the food was cold. I wish there was more variety in general, and dessert, but not a huge deal. The service was great! Fast and friendly. Would come back earlier in the day perhaps!
