First time going to any Sake 2 Me. My wife and I loved our experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, and our favorite item was the grilled beef with asparagus roll. The service was fantastic! They were patient, attentive, answered all our questions, and stayed on top of refills. The chefs were very nice too. My only note is that the ventilation could use some improvements. We walked out smelling like had been sitting next to the fryer. But that is a very small price to pay for such delicious food and great overall experience. We will definitely be returning! read more

The food was good, but the way we were treated by Kaily, the host, was unacceptable. We were a party of 6 -- five adults and a newborn baby in a car seat. She tried to put all of us in a small booth that obviously could not comfortably fit five adults plus a baby. We politely asked for a larger table. Instead of simply moving us, Kaily made us get out of the booth we were already sitting in and wait outside in the heat for more than 10 minutes with a newborn, even though there were open tables and the table we requested appeared ready. We even explained that the baby was very young and asked if we could wait inside. She still refused. Then, after we finished eating and were already leaving, Kaily confronted my sister and said the baby's stroller had been a "safety hazard." If it was truly a safety issue, why were we allowed to sit there for the entire meal without anyone asking us to move it? We would have moved it immediately. Instead, she waited until we were leaving and continued arguing with us about it. We were polite from the beginning and were simply asking for a table that could safely fit our party and newborn. I've been going here for years and today I left feeling annoyed and disappointed. I think charging a 4 year old $19.99 AYCE fee is ridiculous AND charging $3.00 for a to go box to pack the barely eaten small bowl of rice and chicken karaage by said 4 years old. I have never been charged for a to go box at any AYCE restaurant. I could have left after being told the fee for my 4 year old but we were hungry. So, unless your 4 year old can eat rounds of sushi plates - this is not the place to bring them. Sushi is always good. Sake 2 Me Sushi in Cerritos is one of the very few AYCE sushi restaurants that I'll entertain. The wait time is atrocious and they're even more strict about having your entire party present to be seated, but the food is delicious. They have a touch screen tablet available for you to place your orders at your table and there's a timed dining limit. I usually don't have that issue when I go with just my sister or a small group, but I can see it being a challenge for larger parties, so I recommend thinking about your game plan accordingly. Their riceless are yummy and their butter pepper salmon + shrimp nigiri are my favorite. I can easily put away a few plates of those on my own, especially because they use minimal rice for nigiri here. I also love their tuna crunchy rice, but I don't know if they serve that dish anymore, unfortunately. I was recommended this place by my friend whose favorite AYCE sushi spot is Sake 2 Me. Came here for a Sunday lunch around 12. We had joined the waitlist prior to arriving, which I highly recommend since the wait was about 30 - 45 minutes at that time. You can join the waitlist directly from the Yelp app (but you have to be within 2 miles of the restaurant). Parking is plenty in this plaza, but it could get busy during peak hours as it shares the space with other popular restaurants in the area. Upon being seated the server, let us know to use the tablet located on the table to order our sushi. The one caveat is that there's a 10 minute time-out in between each round of ordering and there's also a fee for any leftover food you don't eat. So, I would recommend ordering strategically! Once we ordered our first round, it wasn't long until the food came out. I would say that the food came out pretty quickly, even though it was a pretty busy lunch rush, which I appreciated. They have some limited specials on the menu, which I would recommend ordering. The quality of the limited specials is better than what you can get on the unlimited menu. This would include fatty tuna, giant, raw scallops, and amaebi to name a few. Their carpaccios are also really good. Overall, this is a very solid all you can eat sushi spot and I would definitely come back. However, I wouldn't say this is the best value for your money. I think the quality of the fish (the tuna for example) and portion sizes could be improved. read more

Came here for AYCE sushi on a Saturday afternoon and luckily didn't have to wait too long. If there is a long wait though, you can join the waitlist online ahead of time. I like that this place has an ipad to order bc I feel like it's quicker and easier to order multiple smaller rounds instead of feeling pressured to order 3 large rounds. Most of the items were unlimited but the carpaccio and a couple other items were a max of 2 orders per person if I remember correctly Overall I thought the quality was pretty good. There are a good amount of ayce sushi spots in the area, but my husband and I keep going back to Sake 2 Me. The quality of their sushi is amazing. They have a good fish/rice ratio, unlike other spots where they would either have too much rice with the size of their fish. All the rolls are great. We especially love their albacore! The food comes out fairly quickly and ordering from the screens on the tables makes it so much easier. Great service and great food! Wait times can be crazy during rush hour though! They have such a great music selection here if you are a fan of 90's and early 2000's music. I really wanted to give this place a 5 stars but it just fell a little short. Presentation was amazing though. It was just the fish quality that we thought could've been better. We really appreciated how little rice came with the nigiri, but the rolls were heavy and they give you big portions of those. I would definitely recommend not ordering that many rolls to optimize on sushi intake. Now for the appetizers, we got the fried calamari first and it had no flavor and no sauce to pair it with. Definitely a miss for us. We saw other people ordering another type of squid which was the BBQ one and that one was a lot better! The service was good overall. If there were questions that needed to be answered, the employees are knowledgeable. The ordering system is on the tablet, so you don't need to wave someone down to order. We paid $40 per person on a weekend. I would come back again on the weekday lunch because it's a lot cheaper. Compared to other AYCE sushi options, I would give this place a 4/5. This is a really good ayce sushi place. The assortment of sushi is very good and the quality of the sushi is also very good, particularly for an ayce place. They have an ordering system at each table that makes ordering easy and you don't have to wait for a server. But a few things you need to know: 1) there's a "cool off" period after you put in an order so don't prematurely hit the "order" button because you won't be able to put in another one for a while. 2) each order is 1 piece of sushi, not 2 as most places are. So count each piece you want. 3) most of the pieces of sushi are smaller than most places so order a little more. I actually like the smaller size -- it's much easier to pop the whole thing in your mouth and the proportion of fish to rice is very good. Also, the udon is quite good for a sushi place. The rolls were huge, but many of them tasted similar rather than having their own distinct flavors. I still enjoyed the food. That may have been user error though but I feel all rolls should have distinction. I opted out of the AYCE sashimi because it costs extra. Great hospitality from Tyus and Ember (or Amber)! They were proactive and I never had to ask for anything. They thoroughly explained the ordering process, regularly refilled our waters, and brought us extra napkins after noticing we were running low before we had a chance to ask. We arrived at 4PM on a Monday and were seated immediately. Dinner was $39 per person and AYCE sashimi is available for an additional charge. The tablet ordering system was efficient (and saves paper) and our food came out quickly. The dining time limit is 90 minutes. After placing an order, there's a 10 minute wait before you can order from that same section again. The place is cozy with comfortable booth seats, several table options, and dimly lit lights. The business is located in a plaza with other popular dining restaurants and plenty of parking. Tip: They charge for leftover rolls. If you're struggling to finish, remove some of the rice and eat the fish and fillings instead. That can help reduce food waste and avoid an extra charge. read more

We ate SOOO MUCH LOL. This is one of the few AYCE sushi spots where we happily ordered more and more and more like the good ole days where being a bottomless pit with no weight gain was a thing. The quality of their food here is above decent. We had tons of salmon, tuna, and baked green mussels. I went to Sake 2 Me with a friend for all you can eat sushi. They have a 90 minute sitting time that starts before you order anything. They have a large selection of sushi rolls, appetizers and items included in the all you can eat price of $49 per person and then some options you can add on for an added price. Once you order they put a 7 minute freeze on ordering more so make sure you order more than 1 thing at a time. I was a little disappointed because I felt like all of the rolls had the same ingredients. There wasn't a big variety between rolls. The tempura in our rolls was soggy, not freshly fried and crispy. The edamame was overly steamed, falling apart as we ate it. There was also no ice cream or dessert options included in all you can eat. This was an average experience, tastes good but not excellent. To start off, I was stationed in Japan for 3 years. Japanese food is my 1B cuisine next to Italian food. Sake2Me Sushi is my favorite California style AYCE sushi I've been to so far. I've eaten here for years, forgot to review it! With tip for a couple, it's usually 100 bucks, totally worth it if you add up howuch you eat to single plate sushi establishments. The quality isn't cheap either, tastes premium. My favorite specific is a Vegas Roll. I enjoy almost everything on the menu, that's a part of my initial order. We usually get all the 2pc limited plate orders of the sushi appetizers and carpaccio. For other baked side samples, I think the stuffed mushrooms, Jalapenos, and shishito peppers hit the spot without being too filling. The peppers look like a lot but go down easy. Pro tip, AYCE eaters recommend eating a spicy food first to open up your tummy for the 90 minutes you have to order! Over the last couple months, they expanded their offerings of the standard menu and premium, haven't done that one yet but all the dishes I've tried are genuinely good. The servers here are always professional and courteous to me. There's usually a long wait line for how popular it is, but if you get on the wait list, there's a lot of places to go around in the area to fill up your time. My favorite part, besides the food, this place compares to other AYCE in the area, is the feeling. There's different clocks on the walls. The lighting, vibe with the tables and sushi bar is comfortable to be in not stuffed like some alternatives can be. Never has a bad experience here. Looking forward to going back shortly, try it out! Back in town came here with my daughter for dinner, this place has I came more then 3 X. It's always been good with the food. Sushi size became smaller then the last time I been here but overall the sushi, the rolls, to the ramen noodle, etc was good. Service, the host can work on her attitude, she talks to you like she's yelling. Ambience here they got a lot of table and booth and they play loud music, in some ways it's hard to speak to one another because the music is so loud. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots for all-you-can-eat sushi. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a fun date-night option, and the overall quality keeps me coming back. The scallops are hands down one of the highlights for me. They're incredibly flavorful and easily some of the best I've had locally. The AYCE menu also offers a really nice assortment of rolls, so there's plenty to choose from without feeling like you're limited to the usual options. If you're a fan of sashimi, the Bluefin is an absolute must. The only downside is the wait and parking situation. The restaurant can get extremely busy, and the lines tend to get long, especially during peak hours. I highly recommend joining the waitlist as early as possible. Parking can also be a bit of a nightmare since there are six or seven other restaurants in the same shopping center, so arriving early will definitely save you some frustration. Overall, though, the food and selection make it well worth the visit. If you enjoy AYCE sushi and don't mind navigating a busy shopping center, this is definitely a spot I'd recommend. read more

We went on a Sunday and were actually surprised that there was no wait. The staff was all very friendly and nice, which I really appreciated. But the quality of the sushi just didn't seem like it used to. Even the way the sushi was cut looked a little off, and the rice was still warm when we ate it instead of being properly cooled. This has been our go to AYCE sushi place for the past year or so. My husband and I done there a minimum of once a week. Not only is the sushi top notch, but the customer service is as well. From the hosts, servers, chefs and bus staff everyone always makes the experience great. You will more than likely encounter a wait, however, you can always use yelp to check in once you're within the radius. Our favorite is the seared peppered salmon and tuna , the carpaccio is great! The seared scallops are also a must. From the rolls, we like the garlic tempura and the fresh Maki. You won't regret dining here, the ambiance is also great and comfortable. Visited here to celebrate early LNY with my family. Parking: This spot is located in a high foot traffic plaza. Finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They're always busy, despite it being a weekday or weekend. You can join the waitlist at the podium or on Yelp, but if you have a party of 7+ then you have to partner with a host. My family and I visited right at opening at 11:30 on a Sunday, and it was extremely packed already. There's plenty of indoor seating and no outdoor seating. Service: Shout out to our server Justin for being quick & efficient! He checked on us a couple times and refilled our waters. It's an hour and a half dining experience. They charge extra if there's an excessive amount of leftovers. You'd order from the tablet each round, and once you place your order, you'll have to wait a bit before you place another order. Sushi: They gave us a generous amount of wasabi and ginger. When I say generous, I mean like ice cream scoops of wasabi lol. Their fish was fresh, smooth, and dressed well. My favorites were the No Rice Rolls. If you like fish and no rice, then these are perfect for you. They have plenty of appetizers and non-sushi options like ramen, cooked fish, and chicken. They also offer a lot of rolls. The pictures can be deceiving bc the rolls came out smaller than expected. I guess small portion sizes allows more room for other food .. Presentation was okay. Quite disappointed in this place. We wanted to try this place because we've always seen the line out the door. First, we waited over an hour on the waitlist, which was fine if the food was good. There's limited options here for nigiri beyond the basics (no yuzu yellowtail, no jalepeno-topped fish, no garlic tuna, none of the classic nigiri). Their premium options don't even compare to an average AYCE sushi in Vegas. Unfortunately there aren't any AYCE sushi competitors in the area - which is why I think the place can get away with this. Extremely Disappointing Service Experience Sake2Me has been our go-to sushi restaurant when my brother visits from out of town, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, the way our family was treated today was unacceptable. We had our grandmother in her 80s with us on a hot day when temperatures were around 90 degrees. While waiting for our table, we simply asked if she could sit inside rather than stand or wait outside in the heat. The host, Christina, was not considerate or accommodating to our grandmother's age and disability. When we asked to speak with the manager, the manager was also unwilling to accommodate us and expected our elderly grandmother with a walking aid to wait outside in the heat. Because this has been our family's go-to sushi spot, we decided to stay rather than leave and find another restaurant. That was a big mistake. The experience became even worse when we were leaving. As our family of four walked out, Christina yelled at us, "Hey, you didn't pay!" Wow. Not only was this incredibly rude, but it was also an accusatory and embarrassing thing to say to a family walking out with a grandmother. We had, in fact, paid our bill in cash. I responded, "We paid with cash. Do you want us to wait while you check?" There are respectful ways to verify whether a bill has been paid. Publicly accusing customers of walking out without paying is not one of them. What bothered us most was the complete lack of consideration shown toward our grandmother who has never experienced this kind of treatment in her life. To have her first experience of being treated this way happen during a family lunch (where we came to celebrate her birthday, nonetheless) was deeply upsetting and embarrassing for all of us. We have supported this restaurant for years, and have invited friends to join us in the past, but this experience was a terrible bookend to what should have simply been a nice family birthday lunch celebration. Due to the way our family was treated--from the lack of consideration for our elderly grandmother to the public accusation that we had not paid--we will not be coming back. Customer service matters, but basic courtesy, respect, and compassion (especially for an elder with a disability) matter even more. read more

This used to be my go-to AYCE sushi spot for the price and quality. I haven't been back in 2 years and unfortunately the quality has gone down significantly. The fish is average to slightly above average but what really ruined the whole experience was the rice. Maybe it was a bad day but it was SO MUSHY and DENSE. Each nigiri had 2 tablespoons worth of rice?? What happened. I used to come here because the rice portion for the nigiri was very small compared to other AYCE places. Very sad to see one of my old favorite places decline so much in quality/taste. This place is always packed (especially on weekends) so I recommend hopping on the Yelp waitlist as soon as you are in the vicinity. The parking lot is big but it fills up fast so I recommend going a little earlier so you can get good parking and less of a wait. This is my all time favorite ayce sushi spot. I've been going here for years driving 30-45min away to get to this spot. I've even tried other places and this one is still the best. Theyve raised their prices a bit so it's $39.99 a person for dinner and weekends so I don't come as often since it's gotten pretty pricey but it's still the best one. This time they added a new menu ordering system where you order on a touch screen that is essentially part of the table. Once seated and you start you have an hour and a half and the timer starts once you touch the menu. You can order as much as you would like but once you submit your order there's 7 min where you can't start the next order. You have to scroll down the menu to put what you want and when you click on the sushi rolls, it goes to a screen where it tells you what's inside. You don't have a 3 order limit anymore just the timer. Not sure if I was a fan of the new ordering system. I felt rushed and felt that I was looking at the timer frequently as opposed to just enjoying my meal. It was just my wife and I but I can't imagine having a huge party and using this.. we finished our meal with about 12min to spare. It's still a good spot but I'd recommend taking off the timer or letting them order with maybe 3-5min between orders? We ordered about 3 times and that already takes away 21min plus add on the scrolling and looking at stuff. The timer just continues to roll. read more

It's just so good here. Sushi doesn't have a lot of rice compared to the fish. The garlic edamame is so addicting. I love the hand rolls too. Literally the only bad thing is a wait for a table. Some days are better than others, but there always seems to be a queue for a table. read more

Came here after a game of pickleball & I tried an assortment of food and I can honestly say it really wasn't all that. I was excited for it but it missed the mark. I had the edamame and it didn't taste fresh, the mussels were okay and the sushi wasn't all that. Also we came pretty early at about 2 and were charged dinner price? I'm not familiar with any establishment serving dinner at 2 but that seemed odd. Service wasn't great either. Not a great overall experience and I probably won't be back. read more
