A must try! Very good fresh food. Great selection on rolls. Awesome customer service from the whole staff. Efficient and attentive. Clean, organized, and spacious dining area.

I've been back several times since my last review, so I wanted to provide a little update. The fish is still delicious, but the service has once again improved! Or at least whenever I visit, it feels as it did. It's noticeably faster since my last review, and I could see the gradual improvement during my visits in between, so big kudos to the team! (Definitely a lot faster than my first visit when it first opened a few years ago.) I usually like to visit on weekends around 4-5 PM, but this visit was on a Friday night around 7, and it was quite busy. All the tables were filled up. There was a slight wait when I arrived, maybe about 10 minutes, but that was mostly due to them cleaning and setting up a new table. Once you place your order, the food actually comes quite quickly, and I was surprised, considering it was a busy day. I'd say we received everything from each round in less than 20 minutes, which was surprising, as we ordered quite a bit. One thing I noticed was that they started doing better, which was that the food arrived in a staggered order rather than all at once. Which I remember they kind of did it before, but it wasn't as efficient. Overall, the experience was great, and I'll definitely be back again.

Second time here and while I was amazed the first time, it was somehow even better! Food was delicious and super filling. Service is great - friendly staff that's always walking around cleaning up and taking plates back. Ambiance has vibrant music and plenty of parking spots.

Kairi Sushi is a great addition to Cerritos! Sake2Me used to be my go to spot, but they stopped doing à la carte, but Kairi does and has since been my new go to. I've only done à la carte here and it's always been solid! They've also had a special where all rolls are $10, which I thought was a steal for the quality of food. I've tried a few fresh rolls and baked rolls and have been impressed with everything. I'll definitely have to come back and try the ayce option one day. Service here is friendly and there's never been a wait when I've gone for weekday dinners. It's located in a fairly large plaza, so parking has never been an issue.

The service was amazing and was able to try so many amazing and different types of sushi. The variety and amount of sushi they had was amazing! Felt like I was at home and the environment felt super comfortable.

I had wanted to check out the weekday lunch AYCE special at Kairi Sushi ($26.99 + tax as of November 2025), which is a great deal. We found parking easily in the large lot and walked in for lunch on a Friday with no wait. Service was attentive and friendly and they regularly cleared our empty plates. The all-you-can-eat menu is extensive and I appreciate how most of the rolls are four pieces. The fish to rice ratio is also very favorable for the nigiri. I enjoyed the appetizers and hot food as well. The hand rolls were great. It was fun having spam musubi on the menu, and they even had a promotion with a free salmon collar for lunch. All of the dishes came out beautifully plated. I left stuffed and the quality was great for this price point. No major complaints!

Come hungry -- seriously. For an all-you-can-eat spot, I was very impressed. Service was excellent, with the staff checking in on us regularly and keeping everything moving smoothly. The food was really solid, and we got to try a bunch of different sushi options, which made the experience fun. Came with a group of friends and we all walked out absolutely stuffed. The price is a bit steep at around $37 + tax per person, but if you can get your money's worth, it's definitely worth coming here. Overall, great service, good variety, and a solid spot to hit with friends. I'd come back again.

Came in for dinner and it was sooo bomb. It was busy but there was plenty of seating. Got the AYCE sushi for dinner. Parking is plenty. The parking lot is huge, However the shopping center is busy so be prepared. Plenty of seating inside Kairi. Clean establishment. Restrooms available. 1 for women, 1 for men. Appetizer selection is plenty. This is by far one of the best sushi places I have been to recently. The selection and options you have are a nice variety. We were full by the 2nd round. The portions are decent also. We got full so fast lol. Please be advised that they do enforce the pay for the pieces you don't eat. The service was good. They left us alone besides asking us for refills and next round. We will be back for sure.

First time going to Kairi Sushi! Went during happy hour going into dinner. The place was half-full, no wait. We got the premium AYCE. There's a separate order slip of the limited ayce options, we ordered all of those first. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the Carpaccio and oysters from that section. Regarding the rest of the menu, I'm partial towards both the baked and crunchy Langostino rolls and Las Vegas Rolls. All of the other options were fine, got full after two big orders and had to focus on my favorites! I definitely recommend if you like AYCE and sushi, try this place out and compare it. The business was clean, the waiters were quick and friendly, all of the food was served on fancy plates or planks. Good stuff!

Nigiri

Solid ayce sushi spot with quality ingredients and great service! The portions are really good and the rice is minimal. Ingredients are fresh and well thought out. I love their garlic chili crisp that they top off on some nigiri and rolls. The sashimi nachos are delicious and I wish it wasn't limited to just 1 piece per person.

New premium rolls to try.

The servers here are consistently attentive and quick, which is a big plus for AYCE. The selection is generous. They've recently added 10 premium rolls to the menu, and it shows they're keeping things fresh and competitive. Pricing is about the same--or even a little less--than other nearby AYCE sushi spots, which makes it feel like solid value. Quality is good overall. The fish was fresh, rolls came out well-presented, and I appreciate that their sauces aren't overly sweet or salty. If anything, I'd personally prefer them a touch less sweet, but that's more of a preference than a deal-breaker. Typical AYCE ambience--good for any occasion. You can come here alone, on a date, with kids, or even co-workers. Pro tip: Best time to go is lunch--you'll get the same quality food at a slightly lower price, and it's usually not as crowded as dinner. Between the service, variety, and fair pricing, this is one of the stronger AYCE sushi options in the area. I'll definitely be back when the sushi cravings hit again.

A couple of family members came out from South Carolina with their newborn daughter so we decided to get together for dinner. None of us had been to Kairi before but the reviews looked promising. Tuesday night was rather slow so it was fairly easy to find parking in the busy lot and we were able to be seated right away until the rest of the party arrived. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A+ for service here. All 9 of us ordered AYCE and prepared to have a feast. I'm happy to report the fish is very fresh and everything we ordered lived up to our expectations. The order form only has 3 columns for a round of food orders but our server was kind enough to let us know we weren't limited to 3 rounds. They would provide a new sheet if necessary. The only limitation are the premium items which are 1 piece per person unless you want to pay for additional servings. They also provide separate sheets so you can divide orders by smaller groups rather trying to figure out who ordered what when the orders start coming out fast and furious. Much easier to keep track of 4 or 5 people than sorting out orders for all 9. Kairi is definitely one of the best AYCE sushi restaurants I have been to and highly recommend it. The prices are extremely reasonable and I love the way the sushi is prepared in a more traditional way with smaller balls of rice and the fish sliced to an appropriate thickness. I know a lot of people in America think bigger is better but that's not always the case when you're talking about certain types of food. Thank you Kairi for taking such good care of us. I will definitely be returning.

My wife checked all the reviews on Yelp early before we went there for lunch today. Little early at 11....nobody there, the chef was cleaning the floor. We know what to order at sushi restaurants, my wife and I chose 2 special rolls, Washington and Eel. For drinks, not many choices....no Sake. Very dissapointed. We got Sapporo beer that is why. The complementary salad was served first, and our rolls w hot miso soups. The roll size is smaller, but fresh, great rice, and the flavors for miso soup abd salad were great. I really liked eel rolls. And we ordered more yellowtail roll, 2 sushi, one yellowtail and another is eel. My fave is always Eel. My wife likes Washington, she likes salmon. She really liked Washington. Melted in your mouth! Overall the vibes are casual, any typical sushi bar concept. The chef as well as an owner is using the bar for making the sushi, rolls. The space is so tiny like take out vibe. The chef was answering the phone order, making rolls, sushi, serving our foods. Wow!!! One person does multi tasks. Water is self service, the coffee is free. The menu is simple, bento, bowl for lunch, specialty rolls, sashimi, sushi. This restaurant is good for take out, Uber delivery. Lots of catering menus. I will definitely come soon for the different rolls and sushi.

The first time, I was the only customer waiting. I asked why I would fill out a list when (1) I'd been to this restaurant dozens of times and was never asked to do so; (2) no one was waiting; and (3) the place was nearly empty. The waiter was confrontational and insisted I must fill out the list. He said if I wouldn't, I could leave, so I left. I felt bad for the owners and decided not to leave a negative review, thinking it was a one-off error. After intervening good experiences with other waitstaff, I returned today. Unfortunately, I encountered the same rude waiter. There were lots of empty tables but rather than seat me, he approached and told me to sign in. I pointed out the absurdity, and again he said I could leave! I felt bad the business would lose customers due to one obnoxious waiter, so I asked to speak with the manager. When the waiter said the manager wasn't available, I found her myself. To my surprise, the manager seemed nonplussed -- as though she dealt with the waiter before and felt defeated. It didn't end there. While I discussed this with the manager, the waiter hovered around, attempting to intervene and argue. When he was asked to go away, he stood in different parts of the restaurant to give us "hard looks." It was ridiculous and there is zero chance I will return. No one needs this kind of bullying and negativity with lunch.
