I dropped in for lunch and waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The waitress was very nice and this place was packed except seating facing the kitchen. I ordered the Creamy Crab meat Gratin, Uni Pasta, and coffee. The Gratin was decadent, but I specifically came for the Uni Pasta. It was flawless and had a beautiful presentation. The pasta also came with a side salad and bread, which were delightful. Even the coffee was tasty!
Went here for a weekend dinner and it was super busy. The place was packed! There was plenty of parking outside, though the restaurant itself is quite small. Thankfully we were seated right away so we didn't have to check in via the iPad at the front. Our server was nice, though we did feel like we were forgotten at times. But again, I'll give them grace since it was so busy! After we ordered, we were given a little salad and some bread and butter to start. I went with the mentai creme pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. Though I will say, the amount of oil that was left over could have easily fried something LOL. Great casual dinner spot!
Pasta e Pasta is one of my favorite restaurants in Cerritos! It's a Japanese fusion pasta spot and every time I've come, I'm mind blown by how delicious all the food is. They have a variety of different pastas on the menu, but me and my husband's go to's are the uni pasta and the mentai cream pasta. If you're a spicy food lover like me, do yourself a favor and drizzle on some of the chili oil that they have on the table. Each pasta also comes with bread and a side salad, which is a nice touch as well. I've always come here for weekend dinners and the wait hasn't been more than 10 minutes. Service is friendly and attentive. It is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking.
Finally got to try this place and I loved every bite of my pasta! I was torn between one of the allegro favorites (uni pasta and bolognese) and the Mentai. My friend recommended the Mentai and if you're a first timer, I would too. It was rich with umami flavor from the mushroom, a little salty with texture from the roe, and just creamy enough where you didn't need something to cut through. Comes with bread and side salad. My toddler also enjoyed it, which says a lot! The service was quick. There's a wait list to check in your party on the iPad. They seat you once full party arrives. High chairs available. It's a cozy place and seems like they can accommodate all sorts of parties from 2 people to large families. Shared free parking lot with other businesses, was not difficult to find. Would definitely come back again!
I have fond memories of eating Italian food in Japan, which often features a distinctly sweeter flavor profile, and Japan-based Allegro has brought its signature Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine to the Los Angeles area with Pasta e Pasta. Their special uni pasta is infused with flavors of the sea, but you cannot go wrong with their non-seafood options as well. Their tomato sauce uses imported tomatoes in a recipe tried and true since the opening of their first location in Little Tokyo.
Pasta e Pasta is such a lovely gem. It's a small restaurant that definitely has a homey vibe to it. Their Japanese Italian fusion pasta is what drew me in. I tried both their uni pasta and their mentai creme pasta; while both are delicious, I'd say I favored the uni pasta more! The Japanese flavors are so unique and bring a whole new umami sensation to the pasta. They also have a hot sauce/ spicy oil (?) at the table that I'd recommend splashing a little bit onto your dish for a nice kick of flavor! Besides the yummy main dishes, the staff really seals the deal in how amazing this place is. They are so so kind and extremely attentive. You can really tell that they love what they do and are so excited for you to try their unique dishes. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pasta place!
A small Japanese/Italian fusion establishment with little seating, but big flavor. We ordered 4 pasta dishes for the night, and while I didn't get to sample everything, what I did try was delicious. Each table has a chili oil that I strongly recommend you add, especially to the uni pasta as I found it heavily under-seasoned. All the noodles were al dente, and the dishes were served with bread and a small house salad. Our waiter did the best he could, but for some reason, the weekday we chose was a pretty busy day with a crowd outside the door. My biggest qualm with my experience was the portion size and the seasoning. Our party was still a bit hungry (or, at least I was) after the meal, and we found each dish to be a bit flat,, though the chili oil helped with that. Looking forward to my next visit, and will definitely order something different.
Very good Italian Japanese fusion pastas. I had the one in Little Tokyo. This one is just as good but close to OC . Service was fast and polite . Glad it's here in food land, Cerritos .
Servers were super friendly immediately upon walking in. Luckily, there was no wait when we came since this spot is quite small. Servers were able to quickly take our order and food came out in less than 10-15 minutes. It's nice that they provide salad and bread as sides with each pasta order. I actually really liked their bread cause it had a nice toasted crisp on the outside and the butter melted perfectly on the inside. We got the uni pasta and the tomato cream sauce with shrimp and spinach, which were both good. They each had their own characteristics-- the uni was creamy while the tomato sauce definitely carried the other pasta. I'd definitely come back and hope to try the mentai cream pasta next!
SO. GOOD. I would 100% return just for the Mentai Cream Japanese Style pasta alone. No notes--I genuinely think it was perfect as is. The staff was also so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a must-try!

I had the Beef Ragu, we also had the Seafood Pasta and the Carbonara. You could tell from the quality of the food that a lot of time and effort had gone into each dish. Service was really great. Tried both red and Japanese style white sauce, personally really liked the white Japanese style sauce. The red sauce lacks flavor and blandly tomato, also the spinach inside didn't seem to mix well with the sauce. The price is reasonable and overall 4 stars. Recommended for friends and family , also family with carb / pasta cravings.
Finally got to try Pasta e Pasta after hearing so many good things about it, and I'm really happy I did! The restaurant is small but has such a cozy atmosphere, with just enough tables to feel intimate without being cramped. My husband and I ordered the uni cream pasta and the bolognese - the uni pasta was delicious, rich and briny with that unmistakable uni flavor coming through, however it was a bit too heavy by the end but still worth trying though if you're a fan of uni! The bolognese on the other hand was ABSOLUTELY delicious, probably top 3 pastas I've had in my life. It was really flavorful and you could tell it had been simmered for quite a while, and the wine flavor really complimented the whole dish so well without being overpowering. Both pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and honestly left me wanting more. The chef actually came out and brought us our pastas himself, which was such a kind and personal touch. You could tell he genuinely cared about the food and the experience he was giving us and little details like that made the whole meal feel even more special. Overall such a great find, and I'm so glad I finally checked it out after hearing the hype. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu! read more

End of August, I was craving Japanese-Italian fusion food and this place does not disappoint. I was recommended this restaurant chain from a friend who's been to the Little Tokyo location. While the price for the pastas range from ~$17-$28 dollars, the portion is extremely filling and more than enough to share on its own or bring leftovers. We ordered the gizzard confit for the appetizer, and there's complementary bread, butter, and salad. For our main dishes, the bolognese and arrabbiata. Service for two was fast, and there's seating in the reception area for the waitlist; my party only waited for 5 minutes and we were able to get booth seating. The lighting and arrangements make for an intimate and cozy dining experience with friends or family. read more
Something about Japanese Italian fusion makes it one of my favorite dishes to eat. I recently went to Pasta E Pasta with my friend after she introduced me to it. Lunch time was off to a great start with their complimentary side salad + bread roll with butter! Both were tasty and held me down for their delicious pasta to come. There are olive oil and a spicy oil that you can accompany with your pasta. Uni Pasta (4/5): The uni pasta sauce was a light creamy base mixed in with the uni. I thought the dish was slightly more umami but perhaps cooking it may enhance the flavor more. Bolognese (4.5/5): Red sauce was aromatic and meaty, but not overwhelming. Every bite had bits of meat and is filling and hearty. I enjoy tomato sauces much more after this dish! Our lunch here was amazing to say the least! I thought our service was checked upon frequently, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. A follow and a post on their Instagram will get you 10% off. I'd highly recommend this for Japanese-Italian pasta in Cerritos, you will definitely have those cravings satisfied! read more
I've been to the Little Tokyo location, but this one was just as great. It wasn't busy on a weekend afternoon and we were seated immediately. Came here for Japanese Italian fusion so we had to order the Uni and Mentai Cream Pasta. Typically a lot of uni pastas I've tried elsewhere tend to be light and a bit dry, without enough uni flavors but this has all the rich uni cream sauce with fresh uni on top. The mentai pasta was also very delicious, with great cod roe texture and mushrooms. Both dished were super enjoyable! They also provide complimentary warm bread and butter and a small salad with dressing. read more
My favorite Italian Japanese pasta restaurant! Each dish is done so well and reflects the flavor as said on the menu. The creamy pastas are so creamy and the olive oil pastas are so light and refreshing. The seafood is very fresh and the bread they serve is so fresh and fluffy as well. The store is a little small but the ambiance is so cozy but elevated. The service is amazing too! All the staff members are so kind and attentive. Highly recommend! read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while, but hadn't had the chance until now. My friends were visiting and wanted to eat here since they've been to the other location and were curious to see which one was better. This location is in the plaza next to the super busy one on South, and I'm so glad it's a separate plaza because parking is much easier here. The restaurant itself is pretty small, so it has limited seating. On especially busy days, you might have to wait a bit to get seated. I wouldn't recommend walking in with a large party due to the limited number of tables; maybe calling ahead to check wait times would be a good idea. Since the space is small, you do have to wait outside if it is busy. Fortunately, we arrived just before a bunch of other parties, so our wait wasn't too long; it was about a 10 minute wait for a table to be cleaned and set. Once seated and after ordering, they brought out the bread and salad. The bread was warm, which was a nice touch. The salad was also good. It was slightly vinegary for one of my friends, but my other friend and I thought it was refreshing. I ordered the Japanese-style mentai cream pasta, and it was really good. My friends ordered different pasta dishes, and I tried theirs as well; they were equally delicious. The cod roe added a nice depth to the creamy sauce. I also really loved the added mushrooms. The portion size was generous. I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal. Overall, a solid plac,e and I do want to try other dishes here. read more
Pasta e Pasta has literally been sitting in my bookmarks for years, so when the Cerritos location opened, it seems like it was meant to be. I've missed my opportunity to check out Pasta e Pasta in little Tokyo due to the long wait times but now that they have a suburb sister I was finally able to try their tried and true freshly made pasta with uni. The quality in their craft has been mastered, a small menu with perfected items literally can't be beat. I can say that the uni pasta is a wonderfully crafted dish, salty, creamy, umami flavors that would make you go back for more. read more
This restaurant is well worth the hype! I'm so glad they expanded to this location so I no longer need to go to Little Tokyo to enjoy these noodles. We came right when it opened on a weeknight and there was no wait. Here's what we got: Mentai Cream Japanese Style ($22) The cod roe cream sauce absolutely blew my mind! It had a umami of seafood flavor and it wasn't too heavy. The noodles were cooked al dente and gripped onto the sauce really well. Every bite was heavenly with the mushrooms and I wanted to savor every bite! Beef Ragu Sauce Spaghetti ($25) Generous portions of meat and noodles! The red sauce had good flavors and wasn't too overpowering. My partner really enjoyed this! Overall, I would 100% come back! The pasta dishes were uniquely delicious and came with a refreshing salad, warm bread and butter. Visited on a weekend afternoon, and fortunately, there was no wait whatsoever. My partner and I were seated pretty immediately and had our order taken shortly. After ordering and before receiving our food, we were served some complimentary bread & butter and small salads with dressing. These were nice to have as an appetizer as well as alongside our pasta dishes. Best thing here is for sure the Mentai Cream Japanese style pasta. The cod roe and mushrooms were super delicious and mixed amazingly well with the creamy sauce. I also liked that this pasta didn't feel too heavy to eat. As for the Tomato Cream Sauce with Shrimp and Spinach pasta, it was just ok. There were only a few pieces of shrimp that had a rough texture, while the tomato sauce tasted like something I could just get from a can at the grocery store - nothing special. One thing I would look out for is to make sure you're being charged correctly. When our order was taken, the employee didn't write it down. She just noted it in her head. When we asked to pay the check, she then charged us for some expensive pastas that we didn't order. I pointed it out and got it fixed. Their process for inputting orders is just strange to me, but not a big deal. read more
Japanese-Italian fusion... in a laidback casual setting?! Say less. The pasta here is out of this woooorld! And the authentic Japanese kill-you-with-kindness service was top notch. Before the meal started, we received appetizers of bread and salad (these were average tasting), but of course the stand outs were the entrees. We ordered the Uni Pasta, the Bacon and Mushroom with Gorgonzola cream sauce, and the Mentai cream Japanese style. All of the pastas were perfectly al dente and the cream sauces were decadent and coated the pasta really well. My favorite was the Bacon and mushroom with Gorgonzola cream sauce! It was a flavor bomb of umami in every bite. Definitely a plate to share because of the richness, but soo worth a try! Honestly can't go wrong with any of the pastas in a cream sauce. Next time I'd love to try their marinara based pastas. Would definitely come back to this location again! read more
This has been on my list forever! The uni pasta was pretty good, but there was barely any uni to be seen. Marugame Monzo is still my go-to for my uni pasta fix! My sister got the creamy mentai pasta dish, and that is what I'd order next time - perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness, and slight spiciness. Located in Cerritos, a cute pasta shop in a moderate size plaza with free parking. Although a small shop, there's plenty of tables inside for diners including some counters for solo diners. Had to visit with my partner on a weekend since we were both interested in the shop. This restaurant gets packed during peak hours, so do come early or plan accordingly. There's no reservations. Staff here is pretty friendly and quick, our orders were taken pretty quickly since we had look at the menu beforehand. It's pretty cool that they provide complimentary bread w/ butter along with a side of salad as a appetizer. 1. Mentai Cream Japanese Style Pasta Seems like bulk of the diners order this menu item and I can tell why. The flavor is absolutely exceptional. Mouthful of flavor. The cream sauce mixed with the pasta makes each slurp very delicious and addicting. Presentation is gorgeous and for a pasta this good, I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but pretty fulfilling nonetheless. 2. Tomato Cream Sauce with Shrimp and Spinach To compliment the first dish, this was a good alternate. The tomato sauce is very flavorful and creamy. The pasta itself is also pretty well made, blends well with the sauce. Did wish they provided a bit more shrimp but very delicious regardless. Overall, a nice small pasta restaurant that has very delicious pasta dishes. As of October 2025, there's a 10% off if you post and follow their instagram. Highly recommend to visit whenever in the area as I'm very interested in visiting again to try other pastas. read more

If you love Japanese-Italian pasta, you must visit this restaurant! I've been a frequent customer of the Little Tokyo location for a while now and all the pasta dishes that I've gotten here have always been excellent. This location is no different. Since I was meeting up with friends in Cerritos, I decided to give this location a try, and it was the same delicious pasta that I've remembered. I'm a big fan of the Mentai Cream Pasta, the cod roe sauce makes for such a flavorful dish of pasta. The portion is also a good amount, this spot is indeed carb heaven. read more

Only good experiences here :) I've tried the uni and bolognese pastas, which are Pasta e Pasta's specialties. Both are delicious. The cream mentai pasta is also a very popular item, though my dining partners have told me that the cream sauce quickly congeals as the pasta cools. Just something to keep in mind. More recently, I tried the bolognese, which smells AMAZING. I suppose if you are not a garlic fan, then this would not be the dish for you. The bolognese is so warm and hearty, made with good quality tomatoes and olive oil, and the addition of eggplant to the meat sauce gives the dish some more substance than pasta and sauce. Also love that the pasta always comes out very hot but very al dente, which is my personal preference. The ladies who work here are very sweet and very efficient, and I enjoy the cozy, intimate vibe of this restaurant with its dark wood furniture and simple but creative decorations. read more
Italian pasta with a Japanese twist. Personally I love that they use light flavoring as often times at Italian restaurants many of the pastas have an overwhelmingly creamy and over-the-top buttery flavoring. We tried the famous Uni pasta and the Nero Di Sepia (squid ink) pasta which were both excellent. The Uni pasta was made with a light uni white cream sauce topped with fresh Uni. Sooooo good. Had this dish at another restaurant in redondo beach area which was super salty. This one was perfectly flavored and very good. I recommend. The Nero Di Sepia is a tomato sauce pasta with a slight spicy kick. Love it. The noodles were jet black (squid ink). Very flavorful. Also a must try. Overall good experience. October 23, 2025 decided to try this new place for dinner after picking up prescription glasses at Visionworks across the street. I'm glad we did. We walked in and we received excellent customer service definitely a Japanese/Italian style food. I have to say everything on the menu looked delicious but what we had was delicious first dish was carbonara, which comes with a small salad and bread and bolognese pasta which had eggplant in it, which was pretty good. It came with bread and a small salad. Also, the food was delicious as you could taste. It was all homemade. Sapporo beer is a Japanese brand delicious lager with our meal. I've had this placed bookmarked for a while and finally decided to try it out and so glad we did! We came on a weekend night and it was busy, but the waitlist wasn't too long. It's a smaller restaurant and felt very cozy and intimate. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered a couple of pastas to share around the table and each dish was flavorful and unique in its own way. My favorites were the mentai cream and uni pasta. My friend's favorite were the other ones we ordered. So each dish satisfied everyone's tastes individually. I definitely will be back for their unique Japanese style fusion pastas. read more

Highly Recommended! Great food! The uni pasta is delicious! I'd like to try the squid ink pasta or carbonara next time. All my friends enjoyed their food as well. The service is awesome! The workers are very friendly and polite. It's a cute little restaurant so it's good for friends of 4 or less! It's a good setting to talk and catch up. Definitely enjoyed the experience! I've been seeing this place for awhile now because I usually stop by the dessert shop nearby. I ordered the Uni Pasta since it's been posted outside, so I decided to give it a try. It was good overall, and I finished the plate, but it's not something I would order again. It reminded me of garlic pasta, which I like, but the uni topping didn't taste fresh. It lacked the usual creamy, ocean-like flavor that makes uni special. The Beef Ragu, on the other hand, was delicious! As a meat lover, I really enjoyed it. The sauce had a depth of flavor that I could taste from the wine, which gave it balance and richness. It almost reminded me of lasagna but with a more refined twist. This is definitely something I would order again. The ambiance was casual and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. The place is located in a plaza complex, easy to find with plenty of parking. It wasn't packed when we went, probably since it was close to closing, which made the atmosphere feel more laid-back and comfortable. read more
My coworkers and I went here for our team building lunch. I was super excited because I've never had Japanese pasta done quite like this. It's like Japanese, Italian fusion. 1st the inside is cute and cozy and our waitress was super sweet. I ordered the pescatore Bianca and it did not disappoint! The portions are pretty big. We also had the jidori chicken gizzards for an appetizer, they were super tender and well seasoned. Jidori chicken is a LA local favorite (iykyk) so I was excited to try it the way they prepared it. I'll definitely be back here, the creamy sauce was enough to keep me coming back, plus my husband loved the leftovers. read more

Not much of a fan of seafood so I decided to order the bacon and mushroom pasta. Portion size was reasonable and I was full with that, and the side of salad and bread. I do think it could have been more flavorful/saltier, but may just have been my taste preference. They were accomodating for a large group and did not rush us, which was appreciated. But it does get a bit crowded so do come early ! Would come back to try other pastas! read more

How long to wait for a Saturday dinner for 10 people?
You might wait a while because it's a small restaurant. Maybe call the day before and ask if they can accommodate/make a reservation for you?
The wait at the LA location is crazy long. We waited for over an hour. How long is the wait on a Sunday for lunch if you arrive before they open? I want to bring my mom, but she's 83 and can't wait for too long. Thanks!
You really have to get in line before it opens at 11:30am on a sunday. She can stay in the car until you can get in? We usually try to be at the parking lot about 10mins before it opens for lunch or dinner, just so we don't have to wait to be seated.
Do they take reservations?
Unfortunately not. There is a sign-in sheet at the doorway to indicate how many people are in your party.
