I've dined next door at The Original Fish Company many times and always wanted to try Off The Hook. We recently dropped in for an early dinner for the first time. Overall, it was a pleasant, delicious experience. We looked over the menus, and they had many of the same items as TOFC, but also a few of their own. They also have a Daily Specials menu with some tempting drinks, appetizers, and entrées. FOOD: We started with a few fresh oysters, which they charged per shell. The Blue Point and Fast Bastard were both very tasty. We also requested the complimentary sourdough bread, which is always a hit at TOFC. You don't get the bread automatically here; you'll have to ask for it. For my entrée, I ordered the "Off the Hook" New England Style Lobster Roll and substituted the fries for grilled asparagus. It also came with an arugula salad. Everything on the plate was delicious. The lobster was perfectly cooked and buttered, and the brioche was toasted. We also enjoyed the Blue Prawn Pasta and "Off the Hook" Crispy Icelandic Cod Sandwich. I appreciate the variety of substitutions for the shoestring fries. We didn't get the famous clam chowder this visit, but for sure next time. BEVERAGES: They had some unique house cocktails, wine, champagne, beer, soft drinks, and more. I got the Morning Glow, which is a refreshing (daily special) mocktail with coconut water, lemon juice, blood orange puree, honey, and collagen. VIBES: The patio dining is spacious and covered, with plenty of sunlight still shining through. I haven't dined inside yet, but it looks like it has the same inviting styling and mood as TOFC. We came for happy hour but ended up ordering the halibut ceviche which was amazing and the Nashville cod sandwich which has a bit of kick. I wish it would come with fries, I'll have to remember to order them next time. The best part of date night is trying twice the items! Haha The recommended dish was the $42 halibut which came macadamia crusted or hot (server said it was like a Nashville hot chicken sandwich). The macadamia crusted halibut with cream corn salsa and a blood orange glaze was delicious but I was bummed it was a smidge of decorative sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked & a large portion size. The hot was equally tasty and I ate the crunchy corners off two edges when my husband was in the bathroom. Delicious! The World Famous clam chowder was good but nothing mind blowing. My husband and I went on a dinner date, and this turned out to be the perfect place! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The night started off with a Watermelon Basil Tini and Cucumber Basil cocktails and calamari as an appetizer which were yummy! The food was delicious. The fish is so fresh and the lobster was decadent, as it was easy to pull off the meat from the tail, in addition to my medium rare steak, which I ended up taking home. My husband has been talking about the oysters here like they changed his life--so we finally came to see what the hype was about. Of course, we showed up at 2pm on a Saturday: not happy hour, not busy, just that weird restaurant twilight zone where vibes are high but service is on vacation. To their credit, the place looks great. Indoor and outdoor seating with solid ambiance--would've been a vibe if we weren't busy waving down servers like stranded sailors. The staff seemed more invested in their group chat IRL than in, you know, noticing us. When the food finally arrived, it was good, but not "I'm okay with this bill" good. The hamachi crudo was so tasty I briefly considered licking the plate. The oysters? Super fresh and living their best life with cocktail horseradish and ponzu. The crab dip was rich enough to be an entree in disguise, and the halibut ceviche was mostly onions and tomatoes cosplaying as fish. We have always gone to the Fish Company but it was our first time at Off the Hook. We went for happy hour. The lobster taco and short rib taco were delicious and a good size. The burrata crostini was good but small, I wouldn't order it again for the price. The fish and chips were delicious! Smaller than what I've been used to at Walts Warf but really good. I had a glass of Treana Sauvignon Blanc and I loved it! My husband had the hazy ipa and enjoyed it as well. Of course we enjoyed the clam chowder too. The service was prompt, and we were taken care of. We sat inside at a high table and it was comfortable, started to get louder as the night went on. We will be back! read more

Nice rounded flavor-slight saltiness from the burrata, juicy tomato, tang from balsamic & bitter from sprouts. Really yummy. Not sure the $9 price for 2 slices was a deal though. He answered all questions and the service that followed was outstanding. They also have an excellent bar. My Bombay martini was chilled and delicious. They serve a full selection of beers on draft and have a full wine list. Now on to the food. I had the lobster salad which was loaded with fresh lobster. I took half home as it was so large. My son had the sea bass special which had a delicious sauce like I have never experienced before. Went perfectly with the fish. My wife had the salmon which had a delicious glaze on it. My dining partners' split the crab/lemon pasta. One of them had a Caprese salad and the other one had the arugula salad. Everything was delicious by report. The IPAS were both quite good, although I liked the Liquid Candy hazy IPA over the Belching Beaver IPA. We split the brown butter cake and it was like a warm hug. Our server, Ashley was sweet and attentive. If you haven't been to the Original Fish Company or Off the Hook, you're missing out.
