I hope by now you've done your research on bartending schools. Yes you can be a bartender with going to school, but I will say that going to the school Gives you MORE options where you can work and also cuts off any prerequisite (barbacking, hosting, etc.). I finished the school in a little under 2 months. After finishing my last lesson, Elvis (main instructor) offered me and my friend a job ON THE SPOT at HARD SUMMER. If you see any of these other reviews you can see the type of money you can expect to make at these events (waaaaay more than enough to cover your tuition expense). The school itself is designed to help you grow. 7 lessons, with each one gradually becoming more difficult. Elvis teaches you each lesson before you start, giving you little helpful hints for success. After you're done with the lessons, you prepare for a final exam/pour... These exams are DIFFICULT for one reason. He keeps expectations HIGH from his graduates- which translates to great job placement. The actual school itself mimics a real bar. Full bar set ups (using food coloring). Music is always blasting in there- always a good time when you come in. Nice and shiny place staff seems great . BUT the place seems over hyped and too over priced . it looks like a place, from what i've read, that 'trains employees' so the owner could have employees for his temp agency . you cant charge ppl like that if your main focus is to have them be your cattle later... the place is very small and has a grip of students from the times i've checked it out... so it can be a little crowded most students sit around and study their book work or attend the demonstration classes . the fact that you're not really even sharing the stations with other students majority of the time is what mostly rubbed me the wrong way . i 100% you should learn the material, its a class, but you dont get much hands on during these "classes" . you are watching someone demonstrate rather than you practicing hands on . and for the people who do want to go and do hands on you could possibly be waiting minutes to hours to just use a station . doesn't seem fair for ALL that money you'd be paying . if you need to only read books and watch someone demostrare how to make drinks everyone would get their bartending license via youtube or tiktok . everything else they offer sounds good but its basic things you would learn at WAAAAAAYY cheaper schools or that you would learn once you got a job . like i said sounds good , the place looks great, staff seemed cool, might be cool for people who ONLY learn through books and videos but if you're a hands on person this would not be a good fit . Summary : CONS : completely over-priced, it can be crowded, you're not getting a lot of hands on, your classes are equivalent to youtube videos, unnecessary added "services", can take too long to be able to use a station, you need to pass 'test' before you get hands on training . PROS : you move at your own pace, they have their own curricular and test so you can move on to the next level, group classes with people on the same level as you, the place is nice and shiny, staff seems very sweet & informative, you get to work at through temp agency once you 'graduate', you can always go back to the location to practice hands on ONCE you graduate, location is very diverse . Overall it would be justifiable and worth it if the price tag was better . for that i'll give it a 3.5 stars read more

The biggest service the school provides that drew me in was that it IS NOT a cram school. So all my leisure learners, busy bees or if you are just scared life will come up and disqualify you from the chance to learn the skills, you can rest easy because YOU make your own schedule. The set up of the school is hands on with multiple bars for practice and at least one instructor at all times to help you as you practice your skills. The learning material is rich in content but what is expected of you is straight forward so you have no surprises. Go back and freshen up your skills. Just remember that nothing is handed to you and despite popular opinion that is GOOD prep for you in this industry. If you disagree, this school is not for you. This place is extremely disorganized. Sometime I have come for 6 hours and I can barely get behind the bar and I am not able to advance to my next lesson because they're so understaff. There are days I come in and there's so many people and one instructor that I literally don't do anything. It's really frustrating because the program itself is well made but executed extremely poorly. National bartending school is very professional and reasonable. The amount of time you put in decides how long it takes you to finish. If you come every day, you'll be finished in no time. Unfortunately for me, I'm also attending school and work which has made my time here a little longer and, this school is exceptional for busy schedules.
