Fun bar, nice staff. Just a little neighborhood old school cocktail lounge. There are pool tables. Darts and old video games too. We enjoy the Touch Tunes jukebox. There are snacks available but also a fantastic Dominos Pizza in the same lot. You can bring in the food from there. We love this place and lots of parking right in front. Variety of people in the crowd. Not many people under 30. My friend loves it here and so do I. One of the first people that welcomed us here was Forest. If I could leave zero stars I would, I paid extra on TouchTunes to be able to play the songs that I wanted after ordering two drinks and two shots. I stepped out onto THEIR patio for less than 5 min to go hit my vape and next thing I know I walk back in and the bartender ANDREA has skipped all four of the songs that I queued and paid extra for to hear first. I said something about it and ANDREA basically said I don't care somebody else queued songs before you so I skipped yours since you were outside. 30$ for 2 shots and 2 surfsides and my songs got skipped read more

Met some friends here before a memorial service for a quick drink and they had a tequila special running $5 a glass for Espolito and the beer was cheap too. Cash only bar but they have an ATM inside. Nice jukebox as well lots of content. Plenty of TVs with sports on even though it's small lots of seating and best smelling bathroom I've ever been in. Bartenders are great. Well, I went there for my first time on Sunday night, had a great time, but... a tall blonde heavily tattooed patron got extremely aggressive at closing time without warning. Unfortunately for Snug Harbor she said she was an employee there other nights and had the right to bless about 15 of us with the rudest, most off-putting, repeated "get the fuck out" in the history of Lakewood. Great spot, especially from 6am-10am, free pool shooting during that time, and there's lots of great pool shooters here. Great spot for pool shooting. Just watch out for leather boots and snake eyes those two are total sharks, but great shooters. Enjoy! read more

My fave local bar (even though I don't drink)! I come here and consider it my home bar for playing Darts as they have TWO Phoenix Dartboards! The people here never have given me a problem, drunk or not, they're typically friendly. The bartenders here are the best (Maria is my favorite)! Been here a couple times each time it gets worse and worse. Service isn't good always a rude bartender. Environment sucks doesn't feel welcomed . My friend couldn't order 2 drinks at the same time which was for him and I . I love a good dive bar and this could have been it...but after ordering our drinks, our un-masked bartender asked for our vax card and when pulling it up on our phone said " I don't care what you show me, it can be a picture of your dog for all I care. I'm only asking for it for the cameras". Then she continued to rant and rant about mask mandates and having to "work out of a cage" (when plexiglass was installed at the beginning of the pandemic). We hobbled into this bar after our @#$% experience at the Holiday Inn Lounge (see my stinky angry review!). After spending close to a 20 spot for 2 weak drinks at the Unholiday Inn, it was quite nice to get two stiff as a plank drinks for a mere $11 bucks! The bartender could tell we were hornery and he played along. Played some digital darts, listened to loud music and drink our stiff drinks. I actually kinda like this bar. This place is the Platonic ideal of the dive bar. The scene is noonish on a Saturday- I stopped in to use the restroom while waiting for a sandwich next door, and stayed to eat my snacks and have a beer because I could immediately see it was amazing. The bar was packed with an older crowd who all knew each other. Periodically couples would get up to dance to the Motown from the jukebox (which alternated with Pink Floyd). Patrons were also making use of the pool table, dart boards, and electronic gambling. Gladiator and various sporting events on the many TV's. Cheesy beefcake posters in the ladies. It smells like the decades of cigarettes smoked inside until it became illegal. I was smiling the whole time I was there because I couldn't believe it was real, and am now trying to figure out how to get randomly stranded in Artesia on the regular. read more

Alright, I am not much for going out these days. In fact, I think I'm turning into Howard Hughes (not the eccentric genius part, but the part where I go insane and refuse to leave my house). That's what makes this a great bar for me. I can show up with a couple of friends and generally not be bothered and muddled down by the unwelcome volleys of idle pleasantries so often offered by some uninteresting socialite trying to make some new friends to add to their Facebook profile. I like being able to go in, put a couple bucks in the jukebox, make some selections that I am sure will ruin the mood of the Bob Marley, Sublime loving drunkards who will no doubt be in attendance, then grab a drink and a table and just kick back enjoying the fact that I am not hearing whatever crappy dance floor hit is playing everywhere else. Paulie, the loveable Irishman and Maria the twenty something diva are some of the best bartenders I have come across. Rarely too crowded and, unlike many other places around Lakewood, not likely to run into a group of people you kind of know, but don't like enough to go out with and then are forced to forge some type of awkward union for the evening because inevitably each party will respectively have one person who is utterly blitzed and insists that it would be a great idea for everyone to hang out. Friends and I were hitting some dive bars that I looked up on Yelp in Long Beach. We had set "Snug Harbor" as part of our tour. We must have drove by the area three times before finally finding it hidden away inside an old strip mall. The entrance is non descript - they could spend a couple bucks and light the sign up at night. We enter and except for the two folks at the bar talking to the bartender, we were the only ones in the joint. Is this really Friday night?? Buddy orders a beer that they have displayed behind the bar. Bartender says they don't carry that beer. We point out that it is displayed behind the bar. He grunts that they don't carry that beer and they should take it down. Mind you - he never takes the beer off the display. We drink our beers and check the place out. Extremely loud jukebox. Dark and empty. Bartender smoking an electric cigarette and drinking whiskey. Couple at the bar never moved. Paid and left. Got our moneys worth. read more

Visiting for the holiday and was looking for a quiet place to grab a drink. Found the Snug Harbor to be the perfect spot for relaxing and friendly conversation. Started out on a Tuesday and found the bartender Maria, to have a personality that matched my shot of Fireball whiskey. When I went back for more, I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of Lisa and her cute giggle. Overall this little bar should be on every mariners list of friendly ports.
