Beyond being a great neighborhood spot, Dogz demonstrates a genuine commitment to its customers, its community, and doing things the right way. I especially appreciate the attention they give to safety, cleanliness, and responsible operations. You can tell there is pride behind the scenes and a real effort to create an environment where guests can relax, have a great time, and feel well taken care of. What really stands out, though, is the sense of community. Dogz isn't simply a bar and grill--it's a longtime local business that understands the responsibility that comes with being part of the neighborhood. While social media and review platforms can sometimes reward sensationalism, clickbait, and views, it's important to remember that the words we put online can have very real repercussions for local businesses and the people whose livelihoods depend on them. As a loyal customer of Dogz, as well as many other establishments throughout our surrounding neighborhoods, I can confidently speak to my own experiences: Dogz and its management team have consistently demonstrated professionalism, responsibility, and a commitment to top-notch service. After more than 15 years in Long Beach, Dogz continues to show what consistency, community responsibility, and a commitment to excellence look like. Local businesses should absolutely be held to high standards--and they should also be recognized when they continually work to meet them. Five stars, well deserved.

My boyfriend and I stopped by a while ago with our fur baby, and we had a pretty great time! The service from the staff was excellent, I forgot his name, but the cook was very friendly and hospitable. For appetizers, we decided on pretzels and chicken nachos. We originally thought the pretzel would be one of those big, soft pretzels with a side of cheese, but to our surprise, they came as traditional pretzels with a side of yellow sauce. The sauce tasted similar to Chick-fil-A sauce and paired well with them. The chicken nachos were really yummy as well! The inside of the bar isn't dog-friendly; however, they do have a small outdoor patio where fur babies are welcome. I will say, I wish the patio was a bit more spacious, as it felt like I was practically sitting with the people around me due to how tight the space was. The inside of the bar is also a bit cramped. Overall, I had a nice time at 49ers Tavern. I'd definitely come back for food and drinks again!

This place has no staffing since budget cuts are in place. It is only staffed on Sat because of major sporting events. The good thing about a BWW.. Cheap drinks supersedes the bad service. They are cheap! You can get a draft beer for $4 all night! Usually at this location, the bartender acts as a waitress or waiter. We had a cool dude by the name of Forrest that served us. He is friendly and outgoing going. He needs a raise for his positivity! The place can raise the bar when they feel like it. They just need up their staffing in peak times. I usually go here before watching a movie next door. Happy Hour is the best time to go. Plenty of parking. This place is not ghetto!

We ordered an unusual appetizer called an Irish egg-roll. Corned beef and Swiss rolled in an egg-roll batter. These were fantastic. Really good. For our main coarse I ordered the special of swordfish wrap with steak fries. Absolutely great. My wife had the fire burger with a side of fruit. She loved it. I've seen a few negative reviews of the place but our experience was truly 5 star. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We will absolutely be back. Well done everybody.

Excluding the efforts, successes, and accomplishments of Black Women in sports negates all effort to be diverse. Environment: nice, chill, great sports bar vibe! Needs more marketing to really bring in the women as the place is a bit male heavy (although not suggesting to exclude them) but if it's owned by women, meant for lgbtq+ women, they need to do more leg work to draw in that population, especially Black women, especially the Black lgbtq+ diaspora of women, femmes, masc etc. Unless it's intentionally not meant for us. At Gallagher's there is inside and outside seating. It gets really hot during football times so the lighting makes it beaming hot. If you are just getting brews, this place is a good spot but I would say the food is below average for bar food. Fish and Chips were really crispy and a big portion, fries were okay.
