This place is such a low key bar! My boyfriend and I had such a great time. A nice space to watch sports, good drinks and a good time. Thank you to our bartender, Jessica... our drinks were on point! We definitely will be back

They are not serving food right now (really just reopening from Covid) but a decent crowd, 2 pool tables, cute bartender, and great dj. Hope they can bring back food soon!

NO.. not my kind of place. I stopped by around 8pm on Friday night and it was dead. The vibe is like this: remember when you were a teenager and one of the homies threw a kickback in his garage and charged for beers. that's what this place felt like to me. there is absolutely no parking lot the beers on tap are super cold, but it tastes like their lines are dirty and need to be flushed out. the bartender was sweet but spent most of the time texting on her cellphone and not paying attention to the few guests that were there unless they called for her attention. this isn't named for the Long Beach State Dirtbags baseball team.. it's a "biker bar" according to the bartender.

A good night calls for a Red Stripe with a Mexican Lollipop (Watermelon) on the side!

Last night was the first time I've been to Dirtbag Bar along with a few friends. It had a chill laid back vibe and I like that. It wasn't crowded for a Thursday night which I also love, but not sure how it gets on other days. They also serve Red Stripe which I don't always find at bars so that's a plus! Oh and they have $5 shots...we had the Mexican Lollipop (watermelon flavor) and it was delicious! Definitely will have that again and try out the other flavors. The bartender was also awesome...she was very attentive and nice :) oh and they have 2 pool tables and that's always fun! Support local businesses and check this spot out :)

Watermelon drink double!

Listen guys I'm not typically into liquor, I'm not really into any mixed drinks or anything of that sort. However, as I was browsing for a place to watch the Canelo/ChavezJr. fight I came across this place and saw a shit load of reviews about their watermelon drink. I must say, it was outstanding. Perhaps one of the best mixed drinks I had in my life for someone who doesn't drink liquor as often but used to ages ago ;) I ended up having 3 rounds along with my friend. One of the things I was very pleased with was their clean restroom. Also never been to a bar that had such clean restrooms so that was a plus in my book. The bartenders here were really pretty and were super nice as well. Parking kinda sucks but you can't have it all. I will definitely keep this bar in mind if ever want to stop by for some drinks again. So go ahead and order that watermelon drink girls!

If you didn't know what you were looking for you would drive right past it. Which is exactly what happened to us. After a u turn and some re routing we arrived at Dirtbag Bar. Due to name and location, I thought it would be themed around the Cal State Long Beach Dirtbag baseball team. Unfortunately there just didn't seem to be much of anything. An uninterested bartender, a broken pool table, and an overall blah vibe. I ordered a Michelada which was fine. My dad's beer was, well, a beer, and my mom's Wardlow Mule was pretty rank. They used an alcohol (I'm assuming a vodka?) that I had never heard of before. Not great. All three drinks were under $20, so the price point seems ok. Not a place I would make a special trip for but if you're bored and in the area it's an ok option.

Saturday night out w my best friend. We were right up the street at Roxannes first but their music got a little weird so we headed out. We then went to 4th street and remembered why we don't have nights out in LB I went on yelp and saw this place, we had initially drove by it at firat and didnt even know it. We drove by and were a little reluctant to go in but we heard them playing PEACHES AND CREAM by 112 and said yeah let's get off!! We go in and have a seat, there's plenty of seating. 1 of the bartenders let's us know they have free popcorn and the pool table was free !! We played pool and the dj was super legit. Playing rap and hip hop all night long. This is for sure my new spot. I kind of wish for it to stay low key (there was like 20 people there. who likes to dance in big sweaty crowds, not I) but i do wish for this business to be successful So anyway, they have 2 restrooms and a cool outside area where you can also hear the music. They have a taco man out there with 2$ tacos!! So happy I found this place !! I usually drive to downtown LA to get this vibe

5 stars just doesn't seem like enough for this bar. If you live in the area or are visiting Cali..,this is a Bar you definitely want to visit. The atmosphere is upbeat and multi cultural. The Bartenders are kind and had more than one recommendation. You truly get the essence of the LBC. I live in Newport but rather to the Dirtbag Bar.

The Dranks: the seltzer was a citrus bomb of exceptional sweetness that had just the right amount of tart. We took a 3-pack home. The hazy, also citrusy, was crisp, light and complimented our meal! The Food: Started off with 3 tri-tip tacos. Didn't expect much from $6 mexican staple from a brewery in Signal Hill, especially since we've trekked all through So Cal in search of the best tacos. After my first bite, my eyes went wide and my wife asked me if I was "OK". I was more than Ok - I was shook. The taco had a savory crema that was unusual, but absolutely welcomed. The tri-tip itself was well-flavored and TENDER. It was definitely smoked as the beefiness was on full display, but smoking tri-tip often leaves this cut dry and stringy - Jay had cracked the code on this one! He also shared some house salsa with us, and even though it wasn't needed, the habanero-based condiment just elevated the taco. For the main course we split a gourmet pizza; the Chef's Special Prosciutto Primavera. The pizza dough was EXCEPTIONAL, almost buttery and the crème fraiche formed a nice base for the prosciutto. The biggest surprise was asparagus - who THE FUCK puts asparagus on a pizza!?!?! Well, Jay does, and to great success!!! Jay shared there are a few more updates coming to the menu, so we will be back, and bringing family.

Holy gods. It was the pizza equivalent of an umami explosion, and I'm surprised I haven't given them a try before now. Incredible pizza, incredible atmosphere, and I'm sure I'll be back to try their beer sometime soon. If you're looking for a spot to get pizza pretty similar to some specialty places in New York... you don't have to look any further than here. The fact my only photo is halfway through the pizza should say enough.

The German beer in the boot was awesome! It looked really cool. German accordian music was jamming in the background. To make the long story short, the ambiance was really festive. Workers dressed up in German Attire. Drinks and food was good. Kudos to Elena for being professional and friendly. She was awesome. We had the food delivered in 3 separate instances. In one instance the staff member delivered an order of wings. When I told him the order was incomplete, I was questioned and asked for a receipt. When I showed him the receipt, he moved to another table and removed an order of wings from other patrons and handed it to us. It is unsanitary to give food to strangers and then take it back and give it to me. I asked him if that's how they operate, giving food to others, later taking it back, and giving it to the right table. A couple of minutes later, I had gestapo managers Taylor and Christy searching for me. When I identified myself, they questioned if I had called their staff a "ret@rd." They did not let up. My friend and I were shocked. I described the situation and exactly what I said. The food being mishandled and then being falsely accused of using a slur, such a wild and awkward experience. I noticed Ambitious Ales now provides a disclaimer when ordering from Thunderbolt via QR code. Now it all makes sense. Regardless, you can't have restaurant managers coming over to your business and making wild accusations. Completely unacceptable.
